P3005x printing a line of characters down the left side of the page

Hi,
The characters appear to by letters and numbers. They appear to be the first character in otherwise hidden lines of characters. The spacing bewteen each character is sometimes single spaced and sometimes double spaced. I've run a number of Cleaning Sheets (from Staples) through all three print paths. No Change. I've changed toner cartridges. No change. Ive replaced the Toner Cartridge. I always use Genuine HP cart's. Is the drum part of that cart? If not, do I need to replace the drum? If not what is the solution to this problem?

Do you mean that the bookmarks sidebar (View > Sidebar > Bookmarks) gets disabled?
Try:

Folks, It seems that when I print to my HP laserjet 4 plus, I see some tiny horizontal lines on the left side of the printed page, spaced 4-5 inches apart, all at the very furthest left side of the page. Is this something that I can turn off? Are they some sort of binding marks? I am printing to this printer via jet direct card, over TCP/IP, from a Windows 7 64 bit PC. I love this printer, and recently changed out the exit assembly rollers, and now works like it was new. I also have a 500 sheet drawer and a duplexer installed on it, and I would like to figure out how to get rid of those little horizontal tick marks that show up on the left side of the page. Any help or assistance is GREATLY appreciated, Thanks so much in advance!

Brand new laserjet pro 400 only prints about 1" down the left side of the page

I just unboxed a brand new Laserjet Pro 400 for a teacher, and upon running a test print, the printer only prints about 1" of the text down the left side of the page. The text fades to white, and the entire remainder of the page is blank! I re-seated the toner cardtridges, ran the cleaning program, and am still getting the same results! Any suggestions? A scan of the page is attached. It came out this way after each solution that I tried!

I have pages 09 version 4.1... It is a small aggravation.. The left 3 or 4 characters on the return address would not print until I realized that by clicking on
" View " & " Show Lay-Out " that it was out side the printable range ...

It seems to be a Pages template " Print range " issue.. Both the Epson and the HP printers were doing it and it was today that I realized why.. !!
When I move it to where it will print there is large gap on the left margin of the return address.. Just wondering if anyone else knew about this.. ? My Pages is ' 09 ' version 4.1...

Would you post a screen shot of a message so people can see what you are seeing? Make sure you cover any personal information using Preview. Post the screen shot in a Reply using the camera icon. Copy and paste doesn't work.

Canon selphy CP510 only prints the left side of the page

can anyone help me figure out the problem? It printed fine last time I used it. Today I plugged it in and only the left side of hte page prints. I inserted a new print cartridge and same problem.

My HP color LaserJet 3700 has begun leaving a multi-colored band along the left side of the page.

Now there is a colored band of ink on the left side of the page running from top to bottom. A local tech says the printer needs vacuuming. I am dubious. I have emptied the toner bottle already.

My macbook keeps freezing with the left side of the screen on the right and the right side of the screen on the left. Help

My 17-inch early 2011 macbook pro keeps freezing on me. The freeze usually occurs when I'm importing or exporting pictures, when I stream anything, or If I am watching a dvd. The left side of the screen shifts to the right and the right side of the screen shifts to the left. lines also appear on my screen and I can not force quit any open application. I have not dropped my laptop at all.

If you don't have the Applecare extended warranty then you will need to pay for the fix. The fix is a New Logic Board. It seems as your Graphics card is failing in some way. No there is no software fix for this.
The Graphic chip is soldered to the logic board and the only way to change/fix it is to replace the complete logic board.

On the Mac......
Open up Macintosh HD > Applicatons > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the small window that appears
Click the Network tab at the top of the next window
Change the setting for Router Mode from the current DHCP and NAT to read Off (Bridge Mode), then click Update at the lower right of the window, and wait a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a green light.
Then.....very important
Power off the Time Capsule and your Arris modem/router for a few minutes
Start up the Arris first, and let it run a few minutes by itself
Start up the Time Capsule next the same way
Your network will now be correct, and your printing capabilities will improve.
If Time Machine backups do not occur now, post back and we will tackle that next.

How do I have a constant display of my bookmarks along the left side of the page as was possible in past editions of Firefox/

I previous versions you could have all of your bookmarks displayed down the left side of the page (I cannot recall the technical term for this). With this version when I open bookmarks I get something called the library which looks like what I want but it's in it's own window which is not the way that it was in previous versions. How do I set up Firefox so that my page had my bookmarks always displayed. I do not like the toolbar option.

You can make the Bookmarks visible in the sidebar via View > Sidebar > Bookmarks or the Ctrl+B keyboard shortcut.
Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

LJ4000n - Getting a black smudge (~1") all along the left side of the paper

When printing to an LJ4000n we're getting a black/gray smudge, about 1" thick, along the left side of the paper - see below. The toner has been changed, the printer has been cleaned (as per Chapter 3 - Printer Maintenance in the User Guide) and I did 2 rounds of Printer Cleaning Pages ('create' & 'process'). I'm at loss! Any help / advice would be appreciated!

Fuser unit needs replacing. Open back door, using a flash light check the fuser unit and see the heater roller is damaged on the side in question.

How do i get the refresh button to not disappear after i have moved it to the left side of the address bar in firefox 8?

when i customize the toolbar i moved the refresh button to the left side of the address bar, i also put the stop button and home button there as well. but after i click done when i have finished only the refresh bar disappears, but i can click customize and it reshows up in the same spot only to disappear again after i click done. it used to work just fine in firefox 3.

I've attached a screenshot. You may have to move one of the buttons around a bit until it settles down. Alternatively you can also add a '''Separator''' ('''View''' (or '''Alt''' + '''V''') > '''Toolbars''' > '''Customize''') between the two.

How to I make pop up windows go back to the left side of the screen when they are moving to the right?

Whenever I click on a link, a new window pops up. That's good, that's what I wanted. They've always opened on the left side of the screen. However, they are now opening in the middle of the screen. If your Mac is new-ish and has one of the Lions as its OS, the drives, cards, USB sticks no longer show up, even though they're there. Go to Finder's Preferences and tick the corresponding items in the General and Sidebar tabs.
