P35 Neo 2 network adapter problem

Hi, recently Ive experieced some problem with my integrated network adapter and Im no able to solve it on my own
My system is as follows
XP SP3
C2D E6750 @ 2.6 GHZ
MSI P35 Neo 2
4GB RAM DDR2
MSI NX 8800 GT
All was working fine but yesterday after updating to the new 185.85 Nvidia drivers and PhysX, my network adapter desappeared fron the network connection list. I tried to go back to the old 182.5 drivers but the SO didnt recognize the adapter. Also I looked into the BIOS but all seems OK
Now Im connected throw my Motorola SB5101i USB cablemodem as the Realtek 8111B adapter is not working anymore
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

when a device is removed, the driver is stll installed. It will then show as hidden in Device Manager.
Uninstall the old driver:
- goto device manager and show hidden devices;
- point to the Realtek NIC -> right click and then Uninstall.
- Reboot. Two possibilities:
a. Windows will reinstall the driver after finding new hardware;
b. you will need to manually install the Realtek driver.
Either way, after this, you should have the NIC back.
Things have worsen I suppose. Something is badly screwed up here.
I tried to follow your advice but when I went into the devices manager I couldn't see the adapter even showing up hidden devices any more. I didn't change any settings, just turn off and start the PC a couple of times.
So I removed the drivers from add/remove programs but cant unistall the hardware as i cannot see it..
What should I do? thanks.

  • P35 Platinum - Intel PRO 1000 MT Network Adapter problem

    Greetings.
    Found out very strage thing - installation of "Intel PRO 1000 MT  Network Adapter" in any PCI slot disabled onboard Intel raid controller!  :(
    If this card installed Intel Matrix Storage Manager screen  do not appear in boot process and Raid do not listed in Boot Sequence bios options, instead
     I can see Network Adapter in this list. I tryed "Boot from othe devices" option, bus it not work too.
    So with this adapter installed I'm not able to boot from raid.
    Currently I use bios version 1.4
    Any idea how to solve this?
    P.S. Installation of old 3COM 3C905CX-TX-M Adapter did not have such effect, but there is no Win x64 drivers for it.

    Hi Maesus,
    Thanks, I did and filled information about my computer configuration.
    Hope it'll help solve the problem.
    AaronYuri, thans go reply.
    But maybe it's some misundestanding - when I say that installation of Intel adapter in PCI slot "disabled onboard Intel raid controllr" it does not mean that raid controller disabled in bios settings - settings in "Integrated Peripherals->On-chip ATA devices" are the same (PCI IDE BusMaster = Enabled, Raid mode = RAID), but it's looks like bios "did not see" raid controller - it disappers from list of devices to boot from and I did not see screen of Intel Matrix in boot proces (this screen alwais presents if controller switched in raid mode)

  • System.out.println and Network Adapter problem

    Hello,
    I am encountering a 2 strange problems. I have 2 oracle application server instances, one dev and one production.
    The first problem is when I type System.out.println in the JSP's i am able to see the output in both \opmn\logs\oc4jinstance. But the System.out.println in the java classes or bean show up only in development logs but not in production box.
    Is there a setting I am missing here?
    The second problem is on our development machine the application works fine, but as soon as we deploy the application on production I encounter:
    could not open new connection: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
    I have a class called DBUtils, which uses a 3rd party library to get connections from the connection pool as below. Using JSP I call the getConnection(). On my dev Oracle Application Server Instance it works fine, but on production I get the error. Can it be there is a setting that I am missing on the production box?
    When I use a JSP and connect to the database without using the DBUtil class. I can connect to the database fine. Also using the DBUtil class with production oracle IP address on the development machine lets me connect with no problem, but production machine does not let me.
    public class DBUtils {
    static ConnectionPoolBean pool;
    static {
    System.out.println("DBUtils() - before connection pool bean");
    pool = new ConnectionPoolBean();
    pool.setDriverClassName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
    pool.setdbURL("jdbc:oracle:thin:@IPADDRESS:PORT:SID");
    pool.setUser("USERNAME");
    pool.setPassword("PASSWORD");
    pool.setInitialConnections(1);
    pool.setIncrement(1);
    pool.setSoftMaxConnections(40);
    public static Connection getConnection() throws SQLException {
    System.out.println("Getting Oracle Connection");
    return pool.getConnection();
    public static void returnConnection(Connection conn) throws SQLException {
    System.out.println("Returning Connection");
    pool.returnConnection(conn);
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi
    System.out.println is a method of PrintStream in IO which is used to print the output on console in java progs.Here in jsp ,the o/p is printed on server's console window.But out.println is totally different as, out is implicit object derived from JspWriter and is used sly to PrinWriter 's object is used in servlets.It's work is to write upon Browser.
    System.out.println() is normally used in jsp for debugging purposes only.

  • P35 Neo Mainboard Driver Disk Problem

    Hi All,
    I’m in the process of building my first PC and have a problem with the Windows XP Driver Disk that is supplied with the P35 Neo mainboard I am using. I have just installed windows xp without any problems. I am now trying to install the mainboard drivers. There seems to be a problem with the driver cd. My computer is unable to read the cd. I have also tried the cd in a friend’s pc without any success.
    I would really appreciate it if someone were able to point me in the right direction for all of the drivers I will need to install. If you could list all of the drivers that I will need it would be much appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
    you don't need the CD to get a hold of all relevant drivers.  You can download them here:

  • Satellite C55DT network adapter problems

    I purchased this Toshiba Satellite C55DT-B5208 laptop for my husband late August this year.  I've had two previous Toshiba laptops before and loved them, that's why I did not hesitate to purchase another Toshiba brand.  I am a very technical person and I work in IT, so I am familiar with networking and computer hardware very well.  We have a pretty robust home network.  I recently upgraded our router to the ASUS AC68u Gigabit router, which also serves as our media server.  All of our devices at home do not have any connection issues since I upgraded our router, so I know that when my husband's new Toshiba laptop keeps on disconnecting, it's is related to its network adapter, which is the Qualcomm Atheros AR956x.  I tried all of the following solutions with no success:
    1.  Reinstalled the latest driver
    2.  Reset the BIOS
    3.  Changed the channel bandwidth of our router from 20MHz to 40MHz (this increased the speed of the adapter to the router from 72 Mbps to 150 Mbps, but the Internet is still extremely slow and websites wouldn't load most of the time.)
    4.  Used a WiFi analyzer to check what surrounding frequencies are interferring with the connection, but I found none.
    5.  Finally, I reset the computer to its factory settings (this seemed to work only for a few hours. The Internet seemed to run fine then started to do what it did before I did the reset).
    I called the tech support for this since it is still under warranty, and I was told to send it in for repair.  My husband needs a computer because he is now in school, and sending it in means he won't have any computer until he gets it back.  Are there any other solutions I am missing?  I was thinking of purchasing a replacement network card for it, but I am not sure what type of PCIe network card form factor it uses.  I cannot find any information on what type of PCIe card it uses.  Any information will be appreciated.

    I have been having similar issues with this same model, purchased at best buy, for my wife. The wifi will suddenly seem to slow to a crawl, and eventually will not work at all. Though, it states it's connected, and there is a problem with the router connnecting to the internet. I have a standard Verizon issued MI424WR router that came with the services. I tried  returning to factory settings, updatind drivers, BIOS, uninstalled antivirus, tried with different antivirus products, firewall settings, etc. Nothing. It seems that when the laptop is taken away from the router, a mere 25 feet or so, it loses connectivity, but insists it's connected to the router, and the router is the one having trouble, though 2 other machines on the same network (1 wifi, 1 ethernet) are experiencing no issues. Really this is just a bump, hopefully someone out there can figure this out.

  • NVIDIA Network Adapter problem (MSI K8N Neo4-F)

    We have an MSI K8N Neo4- F motherboard.  We are running Windowx XP SP2 (just upgraded to Service Pack 2).  The computer will only boot in Normal mode if we disable or remove the NVIDIA Network Adapter driver.  If we attempt to boot in Normal mode, it always ends with a Bad Pool Header problem (Blue Screen of Death).  If we boot in Safe Mode with Networking, we can access the Internet.  If we disable or remove the driver, then  boot in normal mode, we can run in Normal mode but we do not have internet connection.
    Does anyone know how we can use the onboard Network Adapter, and still boot in normal mode?
    We have been using the latest drivers from MSI for this motherboard.  Is there a different version that can be used?  Is it possible that we have to update our BIOS for it to work correctly with SP2?
    Thanks!

    I think I may have misunderstood what you meant by a clean install.  I probably should have asked what you meant before I answered my last post.
    If you mean "did we just build the system by wiping the hard drive, installing  XP SP1, then apply SP2", the answer is no.  The system has been running Windows XP SP1 for several years without any problems, and we just wanted to upgrade to SP2 because there is some software that we want to load that requires SP2 to run.  We have lots of software loaded on this machine that we use every day that we really want to avoid (short of time right now to tackle that project) rebuilding the entire operating system/machine because of the work involved in reloading all the software, etc.
    Am I correct in assuming that we would have to wipe out the hard drive and start over if we did a re-install from a slipstreamed SP2 cd?  If so, then we will probably just stay with SP1 for the time being if there is no other option to fix this Nvidia driver problem until we have more time to do a complete re-install and reload of the computer.
    What about just installing a NIC in one of the PCI slots and use that instead of the onboard NetWork Adapter?
    Thanks for all your help.

    Hi:
    I would need to know the full model # of your notebook in order to help you completely.
    If you know the model number, go to the support and driver page, download and install the Ralink WLAN adapter driver which is the model card the hardware ID you posted is from.

  • Lan connection / network adapter problem after computer reset to factory

    My computer was a bit over-run with malware (from kids downloading games I suspect...), so rather than keep fighting to remove some of the nastier ones, I just reset the computer to factory start with the disks we made. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Since that time, I cannot connect to the internet. It does not have a wireless adapter.   The power supply and video card were upgraded a couple years ago; everything else is as it came from the factory. Since I cannot get online, I have not done any windows updates. When I go to Network and Sharing Center, it says "You are currently not connected to any networks" (duh) If I click on "change adapter settings" there is NOTHING in that window.   When I look at "Device Manager" there is no group for "Network Adapters" in the list. I know very little about this stuff, but it seems like the computer is not recognizing that there is even an ethernet cord plugged in.   There is of course, and when I plug that same cord into a different computer, it works. Looking under the hood, I see the network adapter is integrated....  So maybe that part is fried somehow, even though everything else seems to be working?  It just seems really really odd that it was working before the software reset and now it isn't. Any advice?

    As an update:  I found the driver on this website. Downloaded it and then transferred to the subject computer.  I tried to run it and got an error. "Original Realtek Networking Controller Driver" is at the top. "Your system does not meet the minimum requirement for this update.  Update has been cancelled.  (9996)" Could this be because it doesn't have other updates installed?

  • USB 3.0 Network Adapter Problem (StartTech)

    Hello-
    I periodically use a USB 3.0 Network adaptor for my Carbon X1 (It is the Startech USB31000S).
    Our network policy is to disable WIFI when the adaptor is connected.
    Frequently, when I disconnect the USB from the computer to move to a different location, the network adaptor hangs, the WIFI is not enabled. I need to reboot to get it working again.
    I have updated all drivers (USB, Adapter, etc.).
    Any suggestions?

  • EIST Problem P35 Neo Q6600

    Hi all.
    I have overclocked my Q6600 (G0) to 3.28GHz (411 FSB x8 Multiplier) on MSI P35 Neo (BIOS v1.10/1.A). Problem is that if I enable EIST in BIOS and set the CPU multiplier at 8x the multiplier will not remain at 8x when booting. It will try to boot with 9x and as a result will hang/freeze the computer during boot. Only way to stop it from going higher than 8x is to disable EIST. I would have kept EIST disabled if MSI motherboards didn't have problem of feeding a lot more vcore when CPU is idle. CPU VID is 1.28v and in BIOS I have set it at 1.33. At idle it hovers around 1.35v +/- 0.01 and under load it drops to 1.31 +/- 0.01. At 3.33GHz (370 FSB x9 Multiplier) EIST works as intended but I have to set RAM at 740MHz (at next mem divider it goes to 888MHz unstable).
    My computer specs are:
    CPU: Intel C2Q Q6600 G0
    MB: MSI P35-Neo
    RAM: Corsair XMS 2 3GB DDR2 800MHz (2GB+1GB)
    PSU: Corsair HX620
    VGA: HIS Radeon HD4870 1GB
    HDD: Seagate 500GB SATAII ST3500418AS
    And other normal stuff.
    Does some one know of a method to enable EIST successfully at 8x multiplier or some BIOS for MSI P35 Neo that fixes this problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards

    I am guessing you have your Q6600 at 400x9?
    No, I have an E6600.

    Your signature says EIST enabled...
    Yes, but what does that have to do with your system running @x8?  If I wanted to make my system operate at a lower multiplier, I would have to disable EIST as well.

    The idea that the voltage has to stay put at the same level when the system is IDLE and under full load is somewhat of a misconception.  Voltage Droops are not necessarely caused by poor power regulation but have to do (at least in the first degree) with the Intel Processor Power Delivery Design
    Guidelines and Specifications.
    Please have a look here:

    Load line droop (or Vdroop) is an inherent part of any Intel power delivery design. A current proportional to the average current of all active channels flows through load line regulation resistor RFB. The resulting voltage drop across RFB is proportional to the output current, effectively creating an output voltage droop with a steady-state value. Equation 2 dictates the value for RFB that should be choosen to satisfy the Intel VRD specification (the source of RLL) based on a) the number of power delivery phases (N) and b) the equivalent series resistance (ESR) of the inductor used, effectively known as DCR.

    I only want to enable EIST so that CPU vcore voltage doesn't go higher than 1.33v
    What happens if you adjust the voltage downward somewhat?  Is the 1.33V setting really the lowest possible setting for your current clock speed?

  • Upgrading from iTunes 10.4.1.10 to 10.5.3 on Windows 7 - network adapter is disabled

    Hi all,
    I tried upgrading to iTunes10.5 on a Windows 7 HP Elitebook 2530p and the result is that my Wi-Fi and Ethernet network adapters become disabled.  In fact, they are effectively deinstalled - they simply disappear and I am unable to reinstall or use the Windows hardware installer to automatically find them and reinstall.  I had to deinstall the iTunes upgrade and then restore my system back using the pre-install restore point- and the network adapter magically reappear! Noticed this issue seemed to be a known problem and discussed at length on these boards.  Have not tried this update since ~Nov so perhaps it has now been corrected, but I didn't want to risk attempting again only to have to back out and waste more time.  Can anyone confirm that the current 10.5.3 update fixes this network adapter problem on Windows 7 32-bit? Many thanks, Mark

    I came upon the solution in another discussion thread.  The solution is to simply wait 8 to 10 minutes on the language selection dialog box allow the install program time to find my OS 10.4.1.1..  I then clicked on "Continue" and the install proceeded without any problems.  I know am running Leopard OS 10.5.8., So far with no cliches..."knock on wood".  Thanks to all who responded to my original question.

    Hello everyone.
    Some days ago I got some new hardware and put it all together but I ran into a big problem.
    Specs of the new machine:
    Case: Arctic Cooling T2 Pro, Miditower, 500W
    Psu name: AX-500F, specs:
    +12v: 14 A (15 A peak)
    +12v2: 16 A (19 A peak)
    +5v: 25 A
    +2.3v: 30 A
    -12v: 0.5 A
    +5vSB: 2.0 A (3.0 A peak)
    This information is a direct quote from Artic Cooling's homepage:
    Power Supply
    The AX-500F is a power supply optimized for high end PC's and complies with Intel's ATX12V version 2.0. The continuous output power fulfils gaming system requirements based on multiple VGA boards.
    The AX-500F was tested with the following configurations:
    AMD Athlon FX-62 CPU
    2 GB Ram
    2x ATI X1950 XTX (Cross Fire)
    Intel Core 2 Extreme CPU
    2 GB Ram
    2x NVIDIA 7950 Gx2
    I also did try booting with a more powerful PSU but still no luck, and from what I can see then this one should be powerful enough
    Mobo: MSI P35-NEO-Combo-F, Intel P35, Ver. 1.0, BIOS ver. 1.2
    CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, BOX
    Ram: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4, 2x1024MB 2.1v
    Graphics card: Inno3D GeForce 8800GTS, 320MB, PCI-E
    CD-rom: Lite-On DVD/CD
    HDD: Western Digital Raptor 74GB
    OS: Windows XP 32bit
    When I turned it on for the first time nothing happend, no picture no error sounds although I could see and hear that the computer was on. I turned it off and then on again, nothing, I turned it off and then on again and something happend.
    I got a red text message saying that my overclocking attempt was unsuccessful, which I found pretty odd cause this was the first time the computer was on. I have now been informed that it's a fail safe build into the BIOS to prevent a melt down if you overclock it too hard, which is kinda smart. I then had the option to go into the BIOS, so I looked at every setting to see if things were OK and if it was somehow overclocked or had some wrong settings.. Everything looked and still looks alright when I save and exit. When I do save and exit, be it with the settings I think is okay, the fail safe or optimized settings then the screen just goes black.
    So now for the 'clearing the CMOS' part When I reset the CMOS with the jumper I can get further than the error message about overclocking. I get two options:
    1. To enter BIOS setup to configure the bios.
    2. To automatically load some default settings and continue booting.
    First I tried option 1, after doing a save and exit the screen went black again, got the overclocking message and had to clear the CMOS one more time.
    Then I choose option 2, windows started to load, I got into safe mode and windows started to find all the new hardware and so on. When that was done I was kinda forced to reboot, screen went back and yes you guessed it... I had to clear the CMOS and choose options 2. I got as far as getting into windows and installed some of the stuff from the CD-rom's that came with the motherboard, again I was doomed to reboot and clear the CMOS. Once again option 2 needed to be selected to get the system up and running, and I got as far as to the "Want to activate windows" option, and couldn't do that cause the network card was not installed so I had no internet connectivity. Apparently if windows detect too much hardware being replaced then the activation thing pops up, and I later learned that I can't activate my windows anymore cause I used my activation quota and I have to get a new key
    What I learned from my brief time in windows normal mode:
    Everything seemed to work nicely, and freaking fast too....swiiing!
    2gb of ram was detected, running dual channel and at the desired voltage.
    The CPU was running at normal speed and voltage.
    All in all everything seemed normal until I rebooted.
    The only thing I can conclude is that something goes horribly wrong when I clear the CMOS, load some default settings and then reboot. I have seen that I am able to get into the system with my current hardware, but only after a CMOS clear, so what the heck is wrong, what goes wrong after the reboot?
    And this is as far as I can get with my own knowledge of computers :(
    So now I hope to go that I can get some help from some of you guys, any thoughts on this or anyone know of such a problem and maybe know a solution?
    If I missed some information you guys need to solve this puzzle then just ask.
    On a side note, if I somehow get the chance to flash my BIOS to version 1.3 in hope that if will solve my problem, then will it erase my chances to send it in for RMA and get a new board? Do I break any rules by doing that?
    Best Regards

    ok, when you turn it off and on and off and on, the BIOS will think it's an overclocking failure event, and hence display the overclock error message.
    usually this is due to the memory settings was set incorrectly (by the BIOS itself). You may need to manually change the memory settings and see if that helps. And, please make sure that your BIOS can support FSB1333 processor like E6750 out of the box. If not, try flashing to the latest BIOS.
    Hello and thanks for the quick anwser.
    I did check if memory/cpu settings were okay and the seem to be on the right defaut setting. I save and exit and the screen just goes black. I forgot to add the motherboard and BIOS versions but they are there now: Mobo: MSI P35-NEO-Combo-F, Intel P35, Ver. 1.0, BIOS ver. 1.2
    I don't see how I will be able to flash the bios when I can't get into windows and do it, and there is no way else for me to do it. If it was the case that the BIOS didn't support FSB1333, then I would never have gotten as far as getting into windows and getting the activation message would I?

  • Problem with my MSI P35 Neo MotherBoard [Cannot find harddrive]

    Hi guys.
    So, I've been trying to install Archlinux for a while now, and I've been trying to figure out what problem Is by myself, and I've been asking a bunch of people, but it seems that it's going to a dead end.
    What we figured out, and what we "think" it is, is that the controller on my motherboard does not support the system, and my SATA disk that I am trying to install on.
    What i have tried is that.. I've followed the "beginners guide" to install arch linux, and when i noticed that i got a big problem with my harddrive i asked some people for help, tough we cannot figure out what the problem is..
    Firstly i boot up with my ArchLinux CD.. Then i write km, to change the keyboard layout. Then /arch/setup ofcourse . After that when i try to partitionate and set mountpoints for filsystem it does not show any kind of hardware at all. So i tried to partitionate with gparted and then boot up with Archlinux again to install all my packages etc etc. But it seems like it does not write the information to anything.
