  • P35 Neo, no sound

    Hey,
I'm using P35 Neo mainboard and got into a frustrating issue yesterday.
So yesterday I unplugged everything from the back of the computer (USB, power cable, headphones etc) and when I plugged it back in and started the computer again, I had no sound. At first I just thought I had put the cables into the wrong jack (which I had but irrelevant xD). I'm newbi when it comes to stuff like this but I tried all the jacks eventually and none of them worked. Skype said that it couldn't find my sound card. I once had the problem before when I had a friend helping me, we dealt with it for about an hour uninstalling/installing drivers back and forth and finally got it to work.  However yesterday I wasn't as lucky. I fought with this problem for more than 6 hours unable to fix the issue.
I got the right drivers and skype now says that everything works fine. The volume mixer shows that sound is playing but no sound comes from either my speakers or headphones. I have plugged it in the right jacks, even tried to jacks that aren't right and still didn't work.
I've tried to reinstall Realtek HD audio thingy. I've tried to reinstall my mainboard drivers. I've tried to uninstall all sound devices under Sound, video and game controllers and let it auto install it on restart. I've done all these things at least 10 times each.
I don't know if this is a common thing or if I'm just stupid enough to realize the problem.  I really hope I can find some help here. If you need more information regarding my gear, just ask.
    Thanks in advance!
Edit: I rebooted my computer once more and suddenly it just started to work again. Don't know why but I'm happy =D

you most probably need to have the Microsoft HDA Bus Driver installed in the first place before you can install the realtek driver.
but... I can't find the link to show you where you can download this driver. At the mean time, do you mind to try google for it first, while I'm doing the same thing here...
    good luck

  • Kn8 neo platinum sound issue?

I just got the system built and its running good with a single sata drive. All I did was enable the sata # in the bio's and windows did the rest. Great board so far.
ok 1 problem, Im running logitech 640 5.1 speakers and have the speaker config in the msi pannel set to 6 ch. I can get any sound from the rear speakers? followed the color codes but still no rear channel.
    any sugestions?

im guessing your coming from a nforce 2 with soundstorm that has realtime 5.1 encoding.
im also guessing your sound is hooked up with an optical or coax cable??
those sounds tests only work if you have 5.1 analog via 3 minijack-coax splitter
soundstorm was the only one that did 5.1 digital realtime encoding. read games/music etc
anything but soundstorm only does 5.1 passthrough for movies.
i dont know if that helped.  but ive been anxiously awaiting the next soundstorm solution./ games are a much better experience with it

  • Kn8 neo platinum sound issues?

I got the system running well except for the rear speakers.
I installed the nvidia reference drivers and after the reboot the nvmixer would not load, I then installed the realtek drivers and application off the msi cd, that did work but I have no sound from the rear speakers.
    Any sugestions?

Go to Control Panel - Sound and Audio Devices - Speaker Settings - ADvanced and select the kind of speakers you have.
Note that you must uninstall the nvidia audio from the control panel. It is not supported.

  • MSI P35 NEO Intermittent USB ISSUES

    Hi folks,
I had several friends complaining that the USB ports sometimes malfunction intermittently .
Some solutions that I had ironed out...
    1. Flash the BIOS to the latest.
    2. Uninstall the intel inf drivers and get the online latest drivers from www.intel.com
    3. Uninstall the old USB related stuffs in the device manager and allow the new intel USB drivers to load
The USB ports work well for a while, after that the problem re-surface and kick back to the Not Recognized State.
    Is it a known bug?
It seems in windows, the problems will start surfacing
In one of my friend PC, at the BIOS, F11 key, the SONY USB card reader is able to detect.
once it reaches windows, it can sometimes be loaded / sometimes malfunction intermittently.
    Typical Rig Assembly Ingredients:

MSI nVIDIA 8600GT 256MB Graphic Card
    Seagate 250GB SATA HDD
Thank You and appreciate help given

apologies for saying 440W ... based on the brochure, if it is 400W....
so guys ... any comments on it?
And to add on the weird issues, the legacy devices, USB & keyboard are able to work well.
System Is runny stable @ all times
I had tried using this power supply as a reference to test too:
    Same issues occurred.

  • Please to help rookie with quad core on P35 Neo 2 (MS-7345)

I bought a home built computer (specs below) for my sons almost a year ago and have had nothing but trouble with it.  After I finally realized that the graphics card was over-heating it worked better for a bit after replacing Radeon 9600 with some crappy one.  Then I reinstalled XP and seem to have lost drivers for some of the functions of the MB like sound and networking.  Presently it is an impressive looking paperweight with fantastic specs.
It does boot to XP and has internet connection now that I stuck in a NIC card.
I was foolish enough to install and run microsoft genuine advantage and, because it didn't pass, have to read about it every boot and login.  So I'd like to reinstall XP again.
I do have System info for Windows (SIW) installed.
I bought system so sons could play Call of Duty 4.  When I try to launch COD it gives message:
    "Error during initialization:
    Miles sound system initialization failed.
Make sure you have your sound card's latest drivers and DirectX installed."
I have installed latest DirectX but do not know what to do about sound card as it is function of MB, I think.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as to next steps or what further info I would need to gather to solve.
    Thank you!

Thank you again for that page.  I had looked (in vain) for this because I did not receive the MSI cd with this computer.
    http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=1213
I dl'd all of the files and began to install from the bottom up.  The "Intel INF Drivers for 3/4/5 Chipsets" went fine but in the 'read me' for "Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver" it says that if none of the supported RAID or SCSI controllers are present in the Device Manager/IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers then your computer is not in RAID, SCSI or AHCI modes and these drivers are not applicable.  Does that makes sense considering the type of hard drive?  Do hard drives have drivers? (apologies if this does not make sense)
Also, the "Realtek PCI-E Ethernet Drivers" only contains dll, system and a security catalog file.  I do not know what to do with these to install.

  • MSI P35 Neo-F (MS-7360): Computer randomly freezes while playing games

    Hi there,
I have reached the end of my technical knowledge right now and I'm not even sure if this area of the forum is appropriate. The problem:
While playing higher-end games like Crysis 2, Anno 1404, Mass Effect 2 etc. my computer randomly freezes and the last few milliseconds of sound are being looped on my speakers (kind of like a buzzing sound).
By "freezing" I mean that my computer becomes unresponsive to any action other than pressing the Reset-Button or holding down the Power-Up-Button (no reaction to Ctrl+Alt+Del, Alt+F4, Alt+Tab, no mouse movement... you get it).
There's no exact timing as to when these freezes occur. The fastest freeze happened after less than a minute of playing a game, slowes one (just today after switching to my newer case with better cooling) took about 2 hours.
This freeze only occurs while my System is under load. No freezes while browsing the web, using office programs, listening to music or watching videos.
    System Specs:
        Mainboard: MSI P35 Neo-F (MSI-7360)
        CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q6600 @2.4GHz
        RAM: 4x 1GB DDR2-800 Corsair XMS2
Graphics: Gainward GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 1GB GDDR5 VRAM
PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620W (upgraded from Xilence XP600, 600W)
New CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 13 Pro (upgraded from OEM Intel Boxed Cooler)
New Case: Zalman Z9 Plus w/ 4x 120 mm Fans (Upgraded from a Case with only 1x 250mm side Fan)
        2 Western Digital HDD (1x 2TB, 1x320 GB)
1 DVD Reader/Burner (unimportant for that error I guess)
        OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit
        2 Screens: 1x 24" Asus VS248H and 1x 21" LG Flatron Wide W2240T
Since this error is bugging me for quite a while now and since this is not the first forum I'm trying to get help from, here's a list of steps i already took to get rid of it, obviously to no good use:
reinstalled games where the freeze occurred
updated all Drivers (including cleaning old versions in safe mode; also tried older drivers)
        updated BIOS to v1.A0
        Reinstalled Windows
bought new Case and CPU Cooler to improve Air Flow/Cooling
checked Seating of all components (took out, cleaned, reapplied thermal grease where neccessary, re-inserted)
cleaned old case of dust (obviously no problem in the new case, which is 2 days "old")
ran 7 sequences of Memtes86+ without any errors
ran Prime95 without any errors for about 45 Minutes
ran Furmark for 15 Minutes under full load (burn-in test) without any problems, even though my graphics card hit the 100°C frequency-cut level
ran Furmark and Prime95 simultaneously without any problems
took records of component temperatures and system voltages without noticing anything unusual (at least not after i switched to the newer PSU, which is about 1 Month old - yet didn't resolve the problem)
tested with cyclic removal of 1 RAM device to further rule out RAM malfunction
tested with only 2 RAM devices in dual channel mode (Slots 1 and 3)
tried to reduce RAM clock (800 MHz --> 667 MHz) to no avail
checked S.M.A.R.T. values of HDDs, no issues reported
        tested without any background programs
raised/lowered voltages to RAM, CPU and Chipset in BIOS to increase logic circuit stability/decrease heat production
I need to mention: After I transferred my system to the new case, i was able to play longer than average compared to my old case. So I am guessing that improper cooling was part of the problem, yet improving cooling obviously didn't resolve it.
Since these freezes are really annoying and nobody could help me resolve this so far, I'm hoping to find some new ways of narrowing down the problem or even getting rid of it here.
    Regards
    Sebb

Lets be realistic. A system with a 560TI is recommended to have a around 31Amps under full load, a CX500 would be sufficient.
Have you monitored your CPU and memory utilisation ?
As suggested before, test the GPU in another computer to see if the behaviour is the same.
Whew, I thought for a second there that my common sense had left me when I saw that 60-Amp-Post ^^
Yes, I monitored CPU and RAM usage, there is no recognizeable pattern to be seen and it almost never happens under full load.
I will see if a friend of mine can test my GPU on his computer, and I will test it underclocked right away.
Though one more question regarding that: Should I only underclock GPU Core Clock or both Core and RAM clock?

  • P35 Neo - XP Pro install fatal error

    Hello
I have partially duplicated my post since the problem is different from the original thread.
    But first....
    MOBO - P35 Neo - MS-7360
    CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
    BIOS - V1.5
    MEM - 4 x 1Gb 800Mhz DDR2
HDD - 1 x 250 Gb Maxtor SATA II (I have 2 but only connecting 1 for install.)
    VGA - NVidia 8600 GT
    PSU - WinPower ATX 600L - 600W max
    Optical - Emprex 8x CD/DVDRW
The motherboard package and RAM was bought from Novatech and was tested before I installed it.  Full specs can be seen here
    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?MBB-P35675,
and I got them to double up on the RAM.
    HDD was also from them.
    The problem arises after the first phase of the XP PRO install.  I have been using a new copy of XP PRO with SP2 to do the install and initailly things go as expected.  I format and partition the drive to create a 50Gb drive for the XP install, which happens without incident, then the machine reboots.  Following reboot, the Windows XP branded part of the installation begins, with the 'Collecting information', 'Dynamic Update' and the 'Preparing installation'  boxes already checked.  Below these, it says that 'Setup will complete in approximately :39 minutes'.  About 30 secs into this process, a message box comes up with the following;
    Fatal Error
An error has been encountered that prevents setup from continuing.
One of the components that Windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.
    Incorrect function.
    Clicking on the OK box takes you to the logfile, which reads;
    Error:
Installation Failed: D:\I386\asms. Error Message : Incorrect function.
    Fatal Error:
One of the components that Windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.
    Incorrect function.
Pressing OK after this reboots the machine and we go round again.
Things that I have tried to fix this:
    1. Removed RAM, tried it with 2 and 1 DIMMs
    2. Changed the optical drive.
    3. Burned another copy of XP with SP2 at slower speed to ensure it wasn't the CD.
    4. Used another HDD with same specs.
    5. Scoured these forums and the net to find an answer, but nothing clear cut has arisen.  Or have I missed it?
There have been a few threads which mention putting extra drivers into the XP PRO SP2 .iso, but since I am using 1 drive on SATA1 as well as an XP PRO with SP2 disk, this does not appear to be required.  I have used the standard settings in the BIOS.  Can anyone shine some light on what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks for reading!

Sounds like it may be a optical drive or a bad ISO.  Seems like people are having issues using Nero and recommend using PowerISO.  edit:  I noticed you you are using an OEM CD so more than likely either a scratched CD, a bad drive or cable.

  • P35 Neo Combo Audio problem

I recently bought a P35 Neo Combo motherboard.  Everything installed correctly and is working great except for the audio.  I'm currently using Windows Vista, and the drivers look like they are installed correctly (no exclamation mark by the icon in Device manager), but yet no sound is outputted.  The BIOS on the motherboard is also the latest (version 1.6).
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!  Thanks!

Try disabling the Front Panel sound.

  • P35 Neo FR - E8400 overclock. Can OC but need advice

    Hi Guys,
I need some advice as I have spent days reading on this to no avail.
I can OC my CPU to 3.8-4GHZ no problem.  But the VCore seems a little high
Will run stable @ 3.8 – 1.275 volts.  Drooping to 1.225 ish idle. I went up to 4GHZ but this requires 1.4 volts to show 1.375 in CPU-Z.  It seems high although I don’t have temp issues.
    Questions are:
    1.   I don’t get the VTT FSB voltage. Can this be left at auto or is it best to set.  I have read the thread on here that tells you how to work out correct VTT volts but also an article saying if its wrong the CPU will be fried or unstable.  I don’t want to experiment too much with this voltage.
    2.   I have FSB voltage set to 1.4.  I have no idea if this is right as its not calculated and only a guesstimate based on other overclocks.  Is there a method of testing this and will it damage anything like VTT-FSB?
    3.   It seems to run OK with no increase on south bridge i/o or s/b core.  Should I increase this or leave as is?
    4.   Is any of the above going to have negative effect on my X-Fi or grafix card.
I don’t want it sat all the time @ 4ghz so I am planning on leaving it at 3.8.
    422 FSB – 1055 ram @ 5-5-515 2.1v
    EIST – disabled
    Spread Spectrum disabled
    Specs are
    MSI P35 Neo FR2
    E8400 Wolfdale
    Corsair 650TX
    Seagate Sata drive
    XFX 260 black
    X-fi sound card

Just curious, did you disable cpu C1E as well?

  • P35 Neo Combo, boot problem? [FIXED]

** PROBLEM SOLVED - Tech support told we that if there was any way to update the BIOS to version 1.3 then I should do that. I found a way and after that everything have been running smoothly.
I would like to thank everyone that helped me in here and hope that my experience and the solution might come in handy to someone else. **
**This thread have been updated with more information and an alteration of the story as my experience with the board/BIOS grew larger, and some information was given to me by at kind person in this thread**
    Hello everyone.
Some days ago I got some new hardware and put it all together but I ran into a big problem.
    Specs of the new machine:
Case: Arctic Cooling T2 Pro, Miditower, 500W
    Psu name: AX-500F, specs:
    +12v: 14 A (15 A peak)
    +12v2: 16 A (19 A peak)
    +5v: 25 A
    +2.3v: 30 A
    -12v: 0.5 A
    +5vSB: 2.0 A (3.0 A peak)
This information is a direct quote from Artic Cooling's homepage:
    Power Supply
The AX-500F is a power supply optimized for high end PC's and complies with Intel's ATX12V version 2.0. The continuous output power fulfils gaming system requirements based on multiple VGA boards.
The AX-500F was tested with the following configurations:
    AMD Athlon FX-62 CPU
    2 GB Ram
2x ATI X1950 XTX (Cross Fire)
    Intel Core 2 Extreme CPU
    2 GB Ram
    2x NVIDIA 7950 Gx2
I also did try booting with a more powerful PSU but still no luck, and from what I can see then this one should be powerful enough
Mobo: MSI P35-NEO-Combo-F, Intel P35, Ver. 1.0, BIOS ver. 1.2
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750, BOX
    Ram: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4, 2x1024MB 2.1v
    Graphics card: Inno3D GeForce 8800GTS, 320MB, PCI-E
    CD-rom: Lite-On DVD/CD
    HDD: Western Digital Raptor 74GB
    OS: Windows XP 32bit
When I turned it on for the first time nothing happend, no picture no error sounds although I could see and hear that the computer was on. I turned it off and then on again, nothing, I turned it off and then on again and something happend.
I got a red text message saying that my overclocking attempt was unsuccessful, which I found pretty odd cause this was the first time the computer was on. I have now been informed that it's a fail safe build into the BIOS to prevent a melt down if you overclock it too hard, which is kinda smart. I then had the option to go into the BIOS, so I looked at every setting to see if things were OK and if it was somehow overclocked or had some wrong settings.. Everything looked and still looks alright when I save and exit. When I do save and exit, be it with the settings I think is okay, the fail safe or optimized settings then the screen just goes black.
So now for the 'clearing the CMOS' part When I reset the CMOS with the jumper I can get further than the error message about overclocking. I get two options:
    1. To enter BIOS setup to configure the bios.
    2. To automatically load some default settings and continue booting.
First I tried option 1, after doing a save and exit the screen went black again, got the overclocking message and had to clear the CMOS one more time.
Then I choose option 2, windows started to load, I got into safe mode and windows started to find all the new hardware and so on. When that was done I was kinda forced to reboot, screen went back and yes you guessed it... I had to clear the CMOS and choose options 2. I got as far as getting into windows and installed some of the stuff from the CD-rom's that came with the motherboard, again I was doomed to reboot and clear the CMOS. Once again option 2 needed to be selected to get the system up and running, and I got as far as to the "Want to activate windows" option, and couldn't do that cause the network card was not installed so I had no internet connectivity. Apparently if windows detect too much hardware being replaced then the activation thing pops up, and I later learned that I can't activate my windows anymore cause I used my activation quota and I have to get a new key
What I learned from my brief time in windows normal mode:
Everything seemed to work nicely, and freaking fast too....swiiing!
2gb of ram was detected, running dual channel and at the desired voltage.
The CPU was running at normal speed and voltage.
All in all everything seemed normal until I rebooted.
The only thing I can conclude is that something goes horribly wrong when I clear the CMOS, load some default settings and then reboot. I have seen that I am able to get into the system with my current hardware, but only after a CMOS clear, so what the heck is wrong, what goes wrong after the reboot?
And this is as far as I can get with my own knowledge of computers :(
So now I hope to go that I can get some help from some of you guys, any thoughts on this or anyone know of such a problem and maybe know a solution?
If I missed some information you guys need to solve this puzzle then just ask.
On a side note, if I somehow get the chance to flash my BIOS to version 1.3 in hope that if will solve my problem, then will it erase my chances to send it in for RMA and get a new board? Do I break any rules by doing that?
    Best Regards

ok, when you turn it off and on and off and on, the BIOS will think it's an overclocking failure event, and hence display the overclock error message.
usually this is due to the memory settings was set incorrectly (by the BIOS itself). You may need to manually change the memory settings and see if that helps. And, please make sure that your BIOS can support FSB1333 processor like E6750 out of the box. If not, try flashing to the latest BIOS.
Hello and thanks for the quick anwser.
I did check if memory/cpu settings were okay and the seem to be on the right defaut setting. I save and exit and the screen just goes black. I forgot to add the motherboard and BIOS versions but they are there now: Mobo: MSI P35-NEO-Combo-F, Intel P35, Ver. 1.0, BIOS ver. 1.2
I don't see how I will be able to flash the bios when I can't get into windows and do it, and there is no way else for me to do it. If it was the case that the BIOS didn't support FSB1333, then I would never have gotten as far as getting into windows and getting the activation message would I?

  • P35 Neo Combo F woes

    Hi all.
I am new to this forum so I hope I don't repeat an old topic (I have looked for this problem and don't see it specifically).
Basically, I built a system for a brother 2 yrs ago using this MoBo with an Intel Quad 6550 and DDR2 800.  It worked fine for him until one day it just went into an endless cycle of starting and stopping, fans roaring but no boot up.  Long story made short, he had it worked on by some professionals in the Columbus, Oh area and after upgrading the bios to 1.3 and swapping RAM(which didn't work), they sold him a new Intel MoBo.
Well, I now have this Mobo (because I'm stubborn) in my rig and everytime I upgrade software or install a new component, it freaks.  But, I don't get the 'cycle' that I've read about.  In fact, I wish I did.  I could deal with that.  What it does for me is nothing but run the fans.  No HD accessing, no beeping, no post; nothing unless I turn off PS, pull the plug, and repeat until it will post, acknowledge the HD and boot up.  There is no set pattern to what will work either.  I have pulled the cord, discharged the capacitors, reset CMOS, and had nothing happen.  What really puzzles me (even more) is that when Windows restarts after maintenance or if I restart manually, the computer powers down completely and starts up again from scratch, maybe.  Sometimes when I let it set overnight, it will start up after the initial 'stutter.'
When it boots up, it runs fine with default CMOS settings until powered down.  Sometimes it cycles once and takes off, other times not.  I have gotten no satisfaction from MSI other than 'send it in with $35 and we'll see what we can do.'  What I'm about to do is buy an Asus board and use this one as a Frisbee, but I do like it when it works........
    Here is what I've got
    -Intel E6300 1.86 GHZ Core 2 duo
    -MSI 7365 P35 Neo Combo F    Bios V 1.7
-(2) Corsair DDR2 800 CM2X-1024-6400C4 (same memory sticks I originally used for my bro, I have swapped them with 2 Corsair DDR2 800 CM2X1024-6400C5DHX and it makes no difference)
-Sapphire ATI Radeon 3870 (512k DDR4) vid card  (My bro had ATI 1950 pro)
    -WD 1600 AAJS-00PSA0 SATA HD
    -HP CD Writer + 8100
    -Toshiba DVD Rom SD-M1712
-Win XP Pro (32 bit) SP 3.  All SPs installed from downloads, not cds or dvds
-PSU OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W with 2 25A 12V rails
Sorry to ramble so much, I hope what I've said makes some sense.  I'm a retired auto tech, not a computer tech :-)
    Thanks, Bob

    Hello and welcome,
im normally not recommending this, but is 1.3 the latest bios onboard?
If so, might wanna update bios and see if that helps, there were some issues with powering down, memorycompatibility and other stuff.
Read here on how to do it safely:
    https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=113295.0
    If this is your board:
    http://global.msi.eu/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=&cat3_no=&prod_no=1216
then look also here for biosfiles and other stuff that might come in handy, be sure to get the latest bios file, it incorporates all previous fixes.
DONT use LiveUpdate, M-Flash or any other windows based biosupdating program, cause that might wreck your board.
Use the tool provided or via cd/dvd, read here:

  • P35 Neo + 533mhz DDRII OCZ RAM ?

Hi, I just put together a new system for a friend and I can't even POST, I was wondering if someone could help.
    System specs:
    - Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
    - MSI P35 Neo
    - (x2) 1 GB RAM DDRII 533mhz OCZ
    - Powercolor ATi Radeon HD3850 256mb PCI-E
    - Western Digital WD5000KS SATA HDD
    - Samsung SATA DVDRW
    - 500W Powecooler PSU
I was going to buy 667mhz ram but the retailer didn't have any more at the time, so I got the 533mhz instead, was this a mistake ? because after I returned with all the parts I noticed there was no mention of 533mhz ram anywhere on the manual or the site, just 667/800. Does anyone know if this memory will work with this motherboard ?
Also I got no peeps, no sounds, no nothing, I get the power lights on the case and the CPU fan spins up, but I don't get any video signal, and I've tried everything including taking the board out of the case with just the CPU plugged and clearing the CMOS jumper. I get no beeps, and I have a speaker connected to the four pins on the motherboard. I suppose the board is faulty, and I'll take it to the retailer on Monday, but I was just wondering, you don't think the 533mhz memory can be causing such weird behavior, right ?
Any ideas, thoughts or comments will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

I tried a stick of 667mhz ddr2 from my system but it didn't POST either
You may be facing more than a memory problem at the moment.  According to the CPU Support list you need at least BIOS v1.3 for your E6550.  Maybe your board was delivered with an older BIOS revision:

    - 500W Powecooler PSU
Please provide more information about your PSU:
    - number of +12V rails
    - amperage limit on each +12V rail
    - amperage limit for all +12V rails (combined rating)
Did you plug in all power connectors?
    - 4 Pin +12V CPU (board)
    - 24 Pin ATX (board)
    - +12V PCIe (video card), usually 6Pin, sometimes 8Pin
