P55-GD85 - not all ram available at boot / need to reboot. [Solved]

I've 4 sticks Corsair XMS3 - 2 GB @ 1600 Mhz installed on my P55-GD85 board with the XMP mode enabled.
When I boot the PC, only 2 sticks are recognized (4087MB) at the end of the process (even if the boot sequence is notifying 8173MB ram) and I need to restart the PC to obtain the 8173MB really available. Seems that during 1rst boot, not enough power is provided to awake the 4 sticks (and I've a good Seasonic 80+ 750W PSU...) and when restarting the PC a few seconds later, all memory is always available.
I tried reseating them, it not changed anything....
I've run the Windows 7 memory verificator, no problem...
I 've run MEMTEST when the all ram was available, no problem...
What do you advise? Increasing the memory voltage slightly? Disblabling "quick boot" option? Something else?

Tried reseating all my memory sticks, one after the other, in the right DIMMs (beginning with the nr 1) and rebooting each time in between...RAM was increansingly recognised...but once the PC was stopped...same thing when booting it after a while...only 4087MB available and need to reboot to have the 8183MB available.
Tried to reconnect the power pins to the MB...same, not better.
Tried to plug the PC directly to the sector without passing through the BackUPS device...not better.
Seems related to temperature of system/components...when booting in the morning, I need several reboots to have the memory fully available. If the system has been working a lil, one reboot is enough. When the system has been working for long, memory is fully available at each boot 
Will now try to reseat the sticks in another order...another idea Doctor ?

    my openion in your issue is that there is no problem in the landscape mode or the keybord slide but the problem is that when you hold the phone transversly , your hand stays covering the antenna of nokia and wlan , so the connection get worse till lastly drops,  you can observe the same for the 3G connection.
    so i advise you to try many places on your phone to know the best way you not affecting the wlan activity and signal reception

  • Reader X MUI - Not all languages available to select

    I am trying to package and make Reader 10.1 MUI available for my company. Whenever I install the MUI on an XP SP3 system, only some of the languages are available at startup.
    The ones that are available are: catala, Czech, dansk, Deutsch, English, espanol, euskara, francais, italiano, Nederlands, norsk, Portugues, suomi, svenska.
    All the rest are greyed out an not selectable. I've installed all the language packs for the OS, and enabled all the language and region features and it doesn't make a difference. I've tried making a custom install to confirm that all languages are being installed, but still I am limited to which languages are available.
    Has anyone had this issue or have any idea what it could be? This issue is not present on a Windows 7 machine.

    This sound interesting. The upgrade has obviously failed to apply the options. I'd be interested in seeing how this is resolved. Please update the thread once resolved.

  • Not all drives available for export?

    Hi,
    I'm new to Lightroom (3.2 on Windows 7 64 Bit) so please bear with me if it should be a known problem - couldn't find an answer in the forum or help so far:
    When I want to export images, more often than not I only see my user folder in the window that pops up when I select the "Choose..." button in the export dialog, but I don't want to put anything there - I never use these default folders for anything.
    Also, my catalog is on E:, not in the user folder on C: so LR is actually accessing other drives...
    All other drives and folders are simply missing in the folder selection window (I have never seen this window being reduced to the user folder that way before).
    The weird thing is, I was able to use all my other drives and folders before. I even created presets for this, but when I try to export with one of those presets, instead of exporting to that other drive, I again get that reduced folder selection window with only my user folder.
    ATM this makes Lightroom hardly usable so I would be very thankful for any hint on what this could be related to.
    This happens randomly BTW - sometimes it works, most times it doesn't.

    To follow up on this:
    I tried to run Lightroom as an Administrator - no luck, the problem stayed the same.
    I restarted my machine - no luck either.
    I had to export my images to my user folder and afterwards move them to where I need them.
    Very annoying.
    But just minutes ago I actually was able to solve it in a very curious manner:
    In the select Folder Dialog you get when you hit the Choose... Button in the export sceeen, I copied the full path to the drive and folder into the line where normally you only see the selected folders name - and guess what: All my drives are suddenly back visible, I can work normally now.
    I have no clue what kind of weird bug this is, but it is definitely NOT a normal behaviour of a windows file dialog.

    Have 24 gigs of ram, bios only shows 16 gigs. CPU-Z shows 24gigs. At some point I remove one 4 gig and the bios shows 20 gig of ram, but if ifill up the ram slots it only shows 16... any help would earn my gratitude.

  • Reminders - Not all calendars available

    When I try to create a new reminder on either my Mac or iPhone, only of a couple of my Calendars appear in the "list" selection. Why aren't my other Calendars appearing? I'd like to categorize the Reminder.

    Problem description:
    When the laptop is turned on, it goes for about less than a second to the Windows Boot Loader Screen, then it reboots itself, this loop repeats continously.
    If you press the enter key quickly, the system boots to windows normally.
    If you press the tab key it will allow you to execute memtest
    If you try to boot from a cd or a usb, either changing the boot order in the BIOS menu or by choosing the option in the boot loader menu (F12), the laptop will crash and start beeping.
    The problems persist either if the ac adpater if connected or disconnected. The problem persist if you remove the battery and work only with AC.
    Tried solutions
    1) Windows 7 reinstallation: Reinstalled windows (not booting from the cd, but from the older windows version). The problem persist
    2)Reflashing BIOS: Download the Toshiba Boot Flashing tool, I upgraded the BIOS version, but the problem persist
    3) Pressing F8 and trying to repair the laptop: It enters Advanced Boot Options, I have tried with al the options.
    Startup Repair
    System Restore
    System Recovery Image (there is none)
    Memtest
    But the problem persist
    4)Diagnostics performed
    memtest: shows everything is ok
    chkdsk c: shows no problem on the disk partition
    Additional Info: Checking the OEM partition the recovery folder seems to be empty

    Well done so far and good reporting. So Windows' loading sequence is messed up.
    Try a System Restore from Windows first.
       What is System Restore?
    If that doesn't fix things, burn a system repair disc (you should make that in any case) and use it to access the recovery environment.
       Create a system repair disc
       What are the system recovery options in Windows?
     Try first a Startup Repair and let us know what happens.

  • FCPX not starting...says I need to reboot.

    Hello there,
    I am presently facing this problem: when I tried to open fcpx, this pop up came up:
    Right now I remember what had happened! Today, after I pressed the power button to open my Mac which I had shut down last night, and I went around doing some household stuff; after a while, I returned to the Mac and found that it had not opened up : but I was asked to enter my password. I did not realise it then but now I understand that I had opened the Mac in safe mode.
    I shall now try to restart [I guess that is what reboot means] and hope fcpx opens up.

    I have rebooted and fcpx opened up as a charm!

  • Safari uses all ram

    A mid 2011 iMac, 8 GB of RAM.  If Safari is opened, it eventually consumes all RAM available and exhausts app memory.  I have completely wiped and reloaded, Tried a variety of OS versions, now 10.10, and no luck.  I'm pasting an Etre report for reference. I did follow one support tip to kill off Safari WebDav as that was going crazy as well. Any help appreciated.

  • Not enough RAM message in Photoshop but preferences shows all 8 GB available

    After a fairly smooth year and a half working with Adobe CS5 (Photoshop,  InDesign, Illustrator) on my iMac 27" i7 I  cannot open any file in Photoshop, no matter how small. I get the message "Could not complete the Open command because there is not enough memory (RAM)." even with all other applications closed and all 8 GB RAM available, and after restart. In Photoshop preferences my usual  70% RAM allowance shows as available. I also cannot view any video files in Firefox or Safari, but WMV and MOV videos play fine with QuickTime outside of the browsers. This all started after I completed the latest Apple security update (2012 001 I think it was) and also downloaded and installed Smith Micro's Anime Studio Debut 8.
    I'm running an iMac 27" i7 (2010), 8 GB RAM, Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Photoshop CS5 Extended (InDesign and Bridge Adobe CS5  seem fine). Have done all latest Firefox updates as well. Video plugins: Flip4Mac, QT, DivX (all up-to-date far as I can tell)
    Since this started Friday I've updated  Pshop and Flash and all Adobe plug-ins, restarting afterward. I ran Disk Utility and found some files were out of order (or corrupted?), so ran the repair sequence using fsck single user/command-line utility since my superdrive hasn't been accepting discs for a couple of months. Which is also why I haven't just reinstalled Photoshop. Eventually I'll get the drive fixed and reinstall PS etc but this will not solve the video problem. It seems there must be a codec or plug-in problem (audio/video) I'm missing or which is not in the right place (and don't know how to look for it).
    Been a Mac user for over 20 years and have never NOT been able to figure out my next move. Any help would be appreciated!

    I ran an extensive hardware diagnostic and after the second pass it came up with an error message that pointed to a RAM problem. Sure enough, one of the RAM components is now being replaced (along with the dodgy optical drive). Lucky  me, I invested in Applecare.
    I'm looking forward to getting it back, hopefully working smoothly.

    Even if you have 5GB of RAM, PSE can't make use of all of it because it is likely to be a 32 bit program (if not 16 bit).  PSE2 is very old made for Windows 2000 or Windows 98 but this was all before my time so my facts must be wrong here.
    I am amazed that you managed to install it on Windows 7 in the first place.

    I installed windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. when I look at the system specs in windows it shows 2gigs of ram with 1.7 available. Yet I have 4 gigs installed. Any way to get the system to recognize the additional RAM?

    Of the 3.99GB that a 32 bit system can address some will be used for Video buffers (same amount as the Vram allocated to the card) as well as other memory requirements. Everything Windows needs to address must be below the 32 bit limit, some will left for program useage, but not a lot.
    Buy a 64 bit copy of Windows.

    Hello and thanqueue again KW.  I have had power management issues in the past tho they seemed to disappear with a new battery.  But I'll try this before I do the dreaded re-install.  haha.  And resetting the PRAM is something one should do from time to time if I recall correctly.  And it's been at least 3 years since I did that. 
    So I'll probably try that again.  Thanqueue.
    And as I mentioned above, yeah I probably don't even have an SSD, I'd never heard of it before the other night and know I've never purchased one.  So thanx pop-iup for the totally bogus info, tho it's gotten me to this discussion page which is very helpful and I appreciate the suggestions. 
    In its favour, the machine will shut down normally when I'm brave enough to do so.  But it's quite a few moments till all the desktop is restored again when repowered, so I do tend to keep it in sleep mode for days, even weeks sometimes, knowing I'm putting extra wear and tear on it. 
    But at one point a few years ago, it took 5 minutes just to hear the chime.  It's better now, I hear the chime almost immediately, then it clunks into working mode obviously quite overburdened.  It's a wonder it's still speaking to me!  And I use it fairly heavily without too much problem (tho have some spods and the occassional app crash), have over a million files, I suppose that's not unusual.. it was making duplicate files on its own for a while but I think that's stopped.  hahaha.  etc etc and so on.
    But it is very odd to have it, with a battery full of power or even plugged in, just drop out of commission when my back is turned lol for even a few minutes.  There seems to be some misguided trigger at work.  So I'll czeck those power re-sets and see if that takes care of it.

  • When converting over to HTTPS and PKI for clients, not all actions are available in configuration manager cpl

    I'm not exactly sure which forum heading this should go under so if this isn't correct please let me know or move it on my behalf.  
    So I am trying to setup Internet Based Client Management in SCCM 2012 R2 and have come across a few articles on how to do so.   I think I have mostly gotten it to work but I seem to be having a client issue when deploying new machines.  My already
    deployed servers seem to have picked up the PKI setting no problem.  In the past when I would deploy a new windows client everything would be fine.  When i converted over to PKI in my test environment I am now having issues when I go to deploy a
    new windows client. I don't get all of the Actions listed in the Configuration Manager control panel.  All I have are Discovery Data Collection, Machine Policy Retrieval and Eval, User Policy Retrieval and Eval, and Windows Installer Source list Update
    Cycles, before all of them would populate no problem.  I have let this machine sit here for several hours and nothing has changed yet.  It does say PKI for client certificate.  Sometimes when I would deploy new machines it would say NONE for
    Client certificate.  In my production environment it says self-signed.  I have found if i uninstall the client and re-install the client it does populate all of the cycles but I don't understand why it is not working on deployment.
    Ok so maybe not all the time that when i reinstall the client it fixes it.  I just did an uninstall and reinstall on a test client and all it has under actions are machine and user policy cycles.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    I think SCCM client installed before the GPO applied, so you don't a certificate available when it is required.
    You can export and import the certificate by using MDT integration, try this blog for PKI part:

    And in addition, you can upload the log to your onedrive so you can share with us.
