P5800 Problem [only front speakers & sub r working]

Hi, i'm portuguese so i hope i can explain my problem in order for u to help me. (sorry for my bad english btw..)
I bought a P5800 speakers system and installed them perfectly with the help of the manual, everything was double-checked and everything is installed fine.
So, i opened WMP10 and selected a mp3 file to listen.. but to my surprise only the front speakers and the sub were working. I thought it could be the cables that were switched, but no, everything is ok. I went to the sound options in the control panel and set the system to 5.1, but nothing happen. My soundcard is an Audigy SE.
What can i do to play music with all the speakers working?
Can someone please help me resolving my problem ? plz...
Thanks in advance.

I have an Audigy SE and when i try to enable EAX in Creative's software MediaSource Player, a message appears saying "this feature is not available because no supported audio device is detected". Why does this message appear?.... I know my soundcard totally supports EAX.
Any help? thanks.

  • My front speakers are not working.

I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv7-4180ea, Core i7 1.60 GHz, ATI Radeon HD 5650 1 GB, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with 4 GB of RAM.
The problem came up after I reinstalled the windows about one week ago. After I downloaded the driver from HP Drivers and Support things didn't seem to work as they did before. The front speakers are not working anymore now, only the subwoofer works and it sounds awful. Is there any other driver I need  to download or something? Thanks in advance.

Hi here. Use a Mini Display Port to HDMI cable and connect the HDMI into HDMI input on the receiver and the Mini Display to the Mini Display Port on your Mac.
    - Go to System Preferences on your Mac. Click on the "Sound" icon. Then in the "Output" tab, select "(your speakers) - HDMI
    - Then go into Applications via finder > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup. On the left side of the window select HDMI. On the right side it then should say "Source: (your speakers)"
    - Click the "Configure Speakers..." button in the bottom right of the window. Click the "Multichannel" tab. Then select "5.1 Surround" from the pull down menu. Click on each speaker to provide a test tone to make sure each is connect properly. Then click on "Apply" if there is no 5.1 option e.g it's greyed out use options 48000.0 HZ and 8ch-16bit Integer. You can then select Configure Speakers, Multichannel and 5.1 Surround from the drop down. When testing the speakers you may have to use the drop downs under each speaker to change the numbers for which speaker is where. Good luck :-) hope it works

  • Creative Inspire 5300 5.1 Problems - Only Two Speakers Work 100%

I recently purchased the Creative Inspire 5300 5.1 speaker system for my home computer, thinking that a low-end setup would work fine until I gathered the resources to trade them in for something better. Upon hooking them up though I find that they do not work as I was led to believe. The front two corner speakers and subwoofer work fine, just as they would if they were a 2.1 setup, however the center and back speakers make no noise. I know I have them hooked up correctly as I can go into my onboard soundcard?s setup program and test them individually, but in actually practice they do nothing. Not with games or movies that are supposedly 5.1 enabled.
I'm clueless as to what the problem may be. Is it that I need a Creative brand soundcard, that may Abit motherboard and it'ss built-in soundcard are unable to establish the proper frequencies or whatnot? Perhaps I do not have the appropriate surround sound drivers installed? Any help would be vastly appreciated.

    DevNull7,
You may need to enable certain settings within your sound card to upmix the Stereo to 5.1. Check with your sound card support for further information. They should be able to assit you on this.

  • 7.1 Audio! Only Front Speakers Play!

I have a 7.1 surround sound setup, im only missing the center channel speaker. and it is plugged into the 7.1 surround sound onboard audio and it already has the newest ac'97 audio drivers and everything. when i use the msi sound effects manager each speaker works but when i go to play music or games it only plays through my front 2 speakers. ive also been looking and cant find an digital signal processer.  much help please!

You need to play around with the driver configuration. Make sure your driver able to convert 2 channel input to 6 or 8 channels output. This also depends on your audio software you use. Some has the filters/DSP/drivers to do the conversion by itself, some really have to depend on your onboard audio's control panel.
Also remember to set to 8 speakers in Windows control panel.

  • Google problems (only when tethering 3G, 2G works ...

    Greetings,
I have been successfully 3G tethering (by USB cable) my Nokia 2730 Classic to my Linux laptop for ages.
Then yesterday I updated my Nokia 2730 firmware to v10.45.
Now, using 3G, it connects ok as before, and most pages load fine. I can download files ok using wget.
    Mysteriously however, Google pages malfunction:
iGoogle doesn't load my Google Bookmarks gadget entries (the gadget frame and title are visible however)
When I try to open Gmail, the page is blank, the modem light monitor applet on my desktop flashes as if there's some chatting going on, but then the browser status bar  shows 'Done'  but the page remains blank.
If I do a Google search, the search results page shows ok, but when I click on one of the search results links, I am never presented with the destination page.
Even mysteriouslier, if I switch network mode from UMTS to GSM (Settings -> Phone -> Network Mode), the problems above go away and I can browse Google pages no problem.
    My equipment
    Nokia 2730 Classic
    Tethering (via USB cable)
Mobile service provider: 2degrees New Zealand
    SIM card STK Version: 3.5.0
Linux powerpc laptop running Debian Squeeze
    Iceweasel 3.5.16 / Epiphany browser 2.30.6
    Firewall: Shorewall
    IPv4
    Gnome-PPP
    Modem initialisation string: ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
    What I've tried so far:
Replicated the problem by tethering to another Debian computer which also used to tether 3G fine using the same phone
Restore Phone Factory Settings (Restore all)
Removing the battery from my phone for 30 seconds
Played with Gnome-PPP settings (e.g. uncheck 'Check carrier line', uncheck 'check default route', check 'stupid mode'
    Tried connecting using wvdial
Tried loading the Google pages in both Iceweasel and Epiphany browsers.
Reading up about posible modem string initialisation changes, although it was working ok with the default one in Gnome-PPP before the firmware update.
    Other possible factors?
Laptop software/configuration/updates: As far as I can recall, I didn't install any software or updates or make any significant configuration changes for some time before updating the Nokia 2730 firmware.
Mobile service provider 2degrees problem? I have been able to connect ok to my Google pages using the same provider, 2degrees, using a friend's computer and account with a Huawei USB  modem stick.
The Google Bookmarks gadget on my iGoogle page is a frame which renders in "Quirks mode" according to the info I get when right-clicking the frame and choosing frame info. Could this be relevant?
Is it possible that the new firmware is incompatible with my SIM card version (3.5.0)?
Thank you in advance for any assistance you are able to provide in how to figure this out.
If there's any further info that would be helpful in deciphering the problem I'll be happy to provide it.
    Cheers,
    Toby

I guess your 2730 is switching from 3G to 2G during connection. Set from dual mode to UMTS only. Because you're using TCP/IP ( not WAP), it shouldn't matter what kind of data you're down or uploading.

  • Bluetooth speakers problem: srs-btm30 speakers won't work

Hi. I just bought SRS BT Sony speakers and get through setting up new device and paired them with my Macbook intel (OSX 10.4.11) with no problem. However, when I check its properties it says they are "not connected." The blue light which is supposed to confirm pairing and connection does not go off either. I have also checked Sound in Preferences panel and the speakers are not there. Any suggestions?

Very strange how difficult it is to find answers to this problem.
I'm also using the KO500 speakers from Sharper Image. I called
them, and they said they would research this and call me back,
but I have yet to hear from them - it's only been a few days, tho.
The speakers get thru the pairing process fine, but there is
no connection and the speakers do not show up in the system
    prefs sound output list.
Again, the thing that I can't figure out is why I'm not even
getting a mono signal from the speakers. They are totally
mute. I'm trying to get thru to apple support, but of course
the waiting time for a tech is approximately forever.
Anyone with any definitive experience with this issue
PLEASE post. I need get it solved before the return
window for the speakers is closed. Thanks very much
    in advance....

    Hi mikefrompoland,
For more information about 5.1 Surround Sound in iTunes, you may find the following article helpful (it is primarily aimed at Mac users, but the settings in Windows should be similar):

Note: For surround sound to work, the content being played must be encoded to support it.

    Hello @Abdullhai,
I understand that you are not able to get sound from the front two speakers of your notebook computer, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To further diagnose this issue, I recommend following this document on No Sound from the Speakers (Windows 7). This should help restore the built-in speakers of your notebook.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

  • XP x64, all surround speaker signals going to front speakers

Wanted to document an issue I found while trying to use my audigy 4 card with XP x64. Yes, I know you are probably looking at my spec at the bottom and asking why use XP x64. Or why after spending so much money on the pc, could you not afford a better sound card? Or why not use the on-board audio?
Well I am awaiting to upgrade the sound card until a few more HDMI enabled cards come to the marked this year. Also I wanted to play some older games that support eax (which my on-board audio does not support fully) and did not want to go through setting up the emulation stuff in Vista.
Anyway after getting the OS setup, I started looking at the sound setup and discovered that all but the two front speakers are not working. If set to 7. in audio console and windows audio panel then the signals to the side and rear speakers either don't work or come out of the front two speakers.
Odd I thought since vista, I am using on my another hard disk (I just select which HDD I want to boot from at boot), using the same driver version, the sound works perfectly (so not a hardware or cabling issue).
    I tried drivers:
    SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe
    SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe
    SBAX_PCDRVBETA_US_2_8_000.exe
In that order. All gave the same results. Did the normal things like driver cleaning etc.
Then just for a laugh after hearing about old resolved issues with the drivers on systems with more than 4 Gb's of Ram, I removed some of my memory. And low and behold when only one? of the 3 channels of 2 Gb of memory is installed then it all works, full surround is back. But with 2 channels for a total of 4 Gb or 3 channels for a total of 6Gb of ram, I get this problem of only getting sound from the front two speakers.
When I get the time I will try installing XP x32 to see if it not being able to all of my memory will help. Will post if it makes any difference.

@Re: XP x64, all surround speaker signals going to front speakers& Same hell to me with my old Audigy 2 Value. Rear was redirected to front, and center was upmixed with front, all in 5. nati've mode. Stereo surround worked well although. In my old mobo, Asrock Dual Sata 2 had an option to disable the 4Gb ram detection. Although I had 3Gb, with this option disabled I only accessed 2,8 Gb, no big deal. I survi'ved. But with my new Asus M3A32-MVP there was no option to disable 4Gb detection, and for that, the issue is always present in XP x64.
It's driver compatibility with XP x64. That's all. Audigy driver can't handle it in XP x64. In Vista/7 is fixed, but not in Windows XP x64 Edition. I tried the same steps that you did, with the same results. XP 32 bit worked well, because it also didn't recognize the full RAM.
The funny thing is I contacted CL tech support and they said all worked well for them. Furthermore EAX effects doesn't wok either (check F.E.A.R. for example).
Sorry, CL tech support HAS TO fix this. I don't know why they have forgotten XP x64 users.

  • Problem with rear speakers!

I bought new Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Card and I have problem. My rear speakers (DTT2200) don't work. They're connected well, I have newest audio driver and CMSS-3D is enabled. I tested speakers on Creative Control Console and only rear speakers don't work.5.1 speakers are enabled in control panel of WinXP.Please help,Albert.

Check its set to 5.1 everywhere, especially in the creative control (not 7.1 or stereo anywhere). Check your connections at both ends (sounds silly, but check theyre firmly in) and at the speakers too. Try hooking the rear connection up to the front output on the X-Fi to rule out a problem with the speakers. Check volumes everywhere, settings everywhere, etc. Things like this are normally just one small setting you have overlooked somewhere.
