P6 Bridge Authentication Settings

Looking for insights on how to set up p6 bridge from Portfolio Manager v9 to P6 v8.1 for an evaluation system. Bridge configuration seems to require selection of an Authentication mode in order for proper setup, however guides do not detail authentication modes or their respective settings.

The Authentication mode has to match the authentication mode used in your implementation of P6 Web Services.

  • Exchange 2010 Virtual Directory Authentication Settings

Is it normal for authentication settings to be different in IIS Manager and Exchange 2010 Management Console? OWA and ECP are set to forms based in EMC, but IIS shows OWA and ECP as basic = enabled and everything else = disabled. IIS shows
OAB as windows = enabled and everything else = disabled.

    Hi,
Here is a reference about the default IIS authentication settings and default
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) settings for the Client Access and Mailbox server roles:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg247612(v=exchg.141).aspx
It is recommended to manage your Exchange virtual directories authentication settings in Exchange Management Console or Exchange Management Shell instead of IIS manager. Some authentication changes in IIS require an IIS reset. If you are using Exchange management
tools, you will see a warning that would tell you to reset IIS if needed.

Hello! It would be nice to have a migration script in Bridge too...
In the past, there were folders you could copy, but given the database changes, I'm not sure, I need to check first with the team.
On a Mac, it is in the collections folders in ~Library/ApplicationSupport/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections/
    PC(XP): C:Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Adobe\Bridge CS5\collections
    VIsta/7: user/app data/roaming/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections
    Hope this helps

When upgrading no files are copied from the previous version.  So you will have to find them and copy them over.  Locations are in post above.

I have seen this issue before, the AP is present an old PAC and doesnt update until after you reboot. You can open a wireless TAC case and they will get you the right image as to when this was fixed. As a workaround you can extend the lifetime of the PAC in your authentication settings for EAP-FAST.

  • Org Modeler 3.0: Authentication Settings

    Hi,
    I'm using Org Modeler 3.0
When I go to security settings->Authentication Settings, the settings never takes effect. For example, I change the Authentication Mechanism to Anonymous, but I was still prompted to logon. If you enter my crendital, it says logon invalid.
I checked the log, it has this warning:
    29. 27 Dec 2010 09:39:04 WARN com.nakisa.Logger - com.nakisa.framework.utility.XSLRender : loadTemplates : E:\usr\sap\NKD\J00\j2ee\cluster\apps\Nakisa\OrgModeler\servlet_jsp\OrgModeler\root
    Security\security.xsl does not exist.
I notice something strange. First of all, it has "
" before the security folder, this doesn't look right to me. Anyway, the bigger problem is, the Security folder actually doesn't exist!
(I cross checked the same path in Org Chart, security folder exists)
    Can someone help?

    Hi there,
You are right, OrgModeler does not have a security folder. However, if you create a Security folder in the Root folder in your build folder and put in the files from the OrgChart Security folder then this should work. I've done it before to create security configurations for OrgModeler and I'm suprised it is needed here because the default configuration does not have any roles etc.
Regarding it not saving configuration, it could be because of this or it could be because of the known bug with NetWeaver CE 7.2. Which CE platform are you on?
    Good luck!

  • Web Serviices Authentication Settings

    Hello,
I have created a Web Service based on a bespoke Function Module in ECC6.
When I test this web service, I am prompted for logon details.
This is ok while testing, but this web service which eventually be called from an external website so I need to understand how to change this so that the logon details are somehow automatically passed to the web service.
When i created the webservice from the FM, I was prompted for Profile for Security Settings. I wasn't sure which option to select here so I just selected 'Basic Autherisation : SOAP Profile'.
Can anyone advise if this was the correct choice?
I can also see that the Authentication Settings can be set from within SOAMANAGER under HTTP Authentication.
I suspect that I need to change these settings aswell but I'm not really sure what the different options (listed below) mean:-
    User ID /Password
    X509 SSL Client Certificate
    Logon Ticket
Can anyone advise on how best to setup the authentication/authorisation of my service so that it can be called from an external website without someone having to manually enter the logon details.
    Thanks,
    Ruby

This issue has been resolved. Seems the way the JSP app was redirecting the user was the issue. I also had to set the CaptureBaisLoginInfo to 1 in the ptconfig file for the Portal settings to be sent to the app. Beware though that sending the Portal credintials through form based login is clear text with no encryption. I've fixed this by using https on the application.

  • Outlook client proxy authentication settings default to basic

So we are moving our way towards exchange 2013 and something odd keeps happening. When you setup the outlook client (either 2010 or 2013) the proxy authentication settings keep defaulting to basic despite the fact that I have ntlm setup on the cas. This
then continues prompting users for a username and password. We could definitely teel them to click the remember this password button but I would like to make the upgrade as smooth as we possible can. Here are the settings:
    ServerName                                   ExternalClientAuthenticationMethod      InternalClientAuthenticationMethod
    MAILHUB2                                                                   Ntlm
                                   Ntlm
    MAILHUB1                                                                  Basic
                                   Ntlm
Mailhub1 is the 2010 frontend, mailhub2 is the new 2013. All DNS and autodiscovery is flowing through mailhub2. Thanks for you help!

    Hi,
From your description, I recommend you use the following cmdlet to check if the ClientAuthenticationMethod is set to NTLM.
    Get-OutlookAnywhere -Server "xxx" |fl ClientAuthenticationMethod
If no, you can use the Set-OutlookAnywhere -Name xxx -ClientAuthenticationMethod NTLM cmdlet to set it and check the result.
Hope this can be helpful to you.

  • How can i change authentication settings for existing account?

I have an email account from my work server that i have set up as a pop account in Mail. The problem is that the settings have recently been changed on the server and on other accounts but I cant find the same options in the preferences of mail.
What I need to change is requiring authentication on the outgoing mail server (smtp) of username and password. I can find no checkox in preferences enabling this. Our internet provider suggested creating a new account, as in account setup it is possible to check a box for requiring authentication.
If at all possible i would like to keep my existing account.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how i can do this?
    Thankyou!

In Mail, Preferences>Accounts. Select the account in question. At the bottom of the pane on the right of the list of accounts you will see 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP)' where your server details can be entered: underneath this is a button called 'server settings'. Click on this and you can set 'Authentication' to 'password' if neccesary, and enter/change the password for outgoing mail.

  • Can't upload gallery in Bridge CS4 - settings are correct

I am running Bridge CS4 on OS 10.4, 2 gigs of RAM.  I have created several web galleries but can't upload any of them.  If I try saving them to my harddrive and then uploading, I just get a blank shell.  The index works when running from my harddrive, but I just get a shell when running from my server.  When I try to upload directly to my server, I get a "server cannot be found" error. I have quadruple checked my settings, and those same FTP settings work with other programs (Cute FTP and Fetch) so I know that's not the problem.  Why can't Bridge create a gallery and upload it?  I've been having to use Lightroom but I'm just running a trial right now and would like to figure out how to get Bridge to do this before I can't use Lightroom anymore.  Thanks!

Unfortunately I can't tell you what the results of previous discussions were, as I don't deal with the Web; but I do know that this has been discussed here before, so I did a forum search and received these 24 hits.

  • Bridge ACR Settings disappear when reopening folder of images

Frustrating! I'm working on 537 images, I set the exposure, color, etc., and also crop.
Once the folder is closed and reopened all 537 images have reverted to "As Shot".
I am hitting "Enter" when cropping is completed; however, hitting "Enter" after color etc. adjustments closes
the ACR individual icon window and I have to go thru Cmd-R again.
What am I doing wrong and what should I be doing right?
537 images have to be redone. Again.

The .xmp files are listed in the file folder. The "Date Created" for each .xmp
file is correct, and reflects the time
the file was worked on originally; however, after closing and reopening the
file in Bridge, the "Date Modified" for all images
    is "Today, 6:58 PM".
Check your hard drive permissions, choose the HD icon and then the Get Info
command (cmd+i). In this window you can see at the bottom if you have read
and write permissions. If it is set to read only you are not able to write
data to it. Copy a few to your main disk without the existing xmp files and
open them in PS, maybe the data is also still in the Camera Raw Data Base,
    just a wild shot.
Purging the cache does not restore the .xmp editing choices but does delete
    the cropping functions.
sorry to hear that it did not work, however, purging cache should not
delete the crop settings, at least, I tried it with one file that is on my
main hard drive and both ACR settings and crop were kept after purging cache
    for that file.
The files are located on an external drive. Is this possibly an issue?
See above, it might be the permissions but also a bad functioning drive. Use
Apple Disk utility or Desk Tool Pro to check the Disk. (something you should
do regularly). Ideally the external drive should be formatted in HFS+ for
Mac but other formatting will also function as long as the drive shows on
    your desktop.
Personal I never work on files on external drives, I use my main drive for
it and use external drives (have lots of them...) only for storage and back
    up
Is there any method to update the "Date Modified" with the "Date Created"
info in the .xmp files in the file folder?
Not sure why you want this but in general you can't change xmp yourself if
the metadata panel has no option for it (only the ones with a pencil icon
can be edited by the user) other then using scripting I believe.
However the next time you modify the file in Bridge, finder ACR PS etc your
    modification date should update itself.
Putting back the modification date will probably not bring back your earlier
changed settings, at least I don't think so.

  • How do I save Bridge workspace settings so that screen opens as I want it?

I use CS3 on Intel iMac.  Recently upgraded to Snow Leopard, but had printer problems and have uninstalled and gone back to Leopard fttb.  Software wiped of course and carelessly I didn't save PS settings.  CS3 now reinstalled.
I use Bridge to scroll through my images and then open in PS.  I know how to save my own customised workspace (Window, Workspace, Save etc) and I make it Workspace 1 in the lower right boxes.  I like the panel maximised without any of my desktop showing (e.g. as when hitting the green button top left) and I like Folders opened up showing in left hand panel, with files showing in vertical film strip on right.  Every time I open up Bridge the panel is smaller than the one I saved so I have to maximise the screen.  Also Favorites opens up, not my Folders so I then have to open up several sub folders to get the right ones.
Before uninstalling then reinstalling Leopard, Bridge appeared the way I wanted but I can't figure out how to do it again i.e. it doesn't come on the way I left it.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

  • Camera RAW Update, Bridge default settings

I just updated Camera RAW.  I use CS6, but now the Bridge is set to open in PS CC by default and CS6 is not even listed as an option.  How do I get CC back off and CS6 set back to default?
    Thank you!

This should fix it: Camera Raw 8.4 | No metadata or Camera Raw edit

  • Bridge Workspace Settings?

I customized the Essentials view in Bridge to show 15 images at a time, locked the thumbnail grid, and widened out both of the side panels as I have a 22" monitor. I then saved it as a new workspace. However, each time I shutdown my computer, restart it and open up bridge it says its using my new saved workspace but all of the customizations that I made as described above are gone. Am I missing something here? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. :-)

Now I reread your original email and see I have missed something. My issue isn't exactly the same. I have created MY default workspace with my customizations. Restarted the PC and opening Bridge and my default workspace doesn't open BUT I am able to click in this case, Bob's Space and it all comes back.
What I wanted was the ability to customize my workspace and have Bridge open with that each time. Under these cicumstances and I have to click on Bob's Space each time Bridge opens.

  • Bridge CS4 does not see ACR presets in Develop Settings

I think that this is new with CS4. I create a Preset in ACR in the Preset Panel. That Preset works fine on photos in ACR. The Preset is listed in the Camera Raw Settings folder in the Finder.
But, when I try to apply the Preset in Bridge via Edit > Develop Settings, the Preset does not appear. Is this correct? I believe that a preset did appear in CS3 in Bridge Develop Settings.
The preset was created with a Raw file from the 1DS MkIII. Could it be camera-related?
    Am I missing something here?
    Thanks,
    Sonny

Strange. I Quit Bridge. Relaunched Bridge, and the Presets now appear in the Develop Settings list.
I presume that I should not have to Quit and relaunch for the presets to appear?
I created another preset. It only appeared in Develop Settings when I again quit and relaunched Bridge, even though it appears in the Camera Raw Settings folder.

  • Setting Authentication and SSL Settings by folder/file in ColdFusion 10

Am attempting to upgrade to ColdFusion 10 (patched to current level) on our development network.  We are running Windows Server 2008 R2.  On both of the below instances it worked fine with ColdFusion 8 and 9.
On the first instance the entire site is SSL with the exception of one directory.  The entire site is set to Anonymous Authentication Disabled and Windows Authentication Enabled for the entire site except for the one directory that is not SSL.  On ColdFusion 10, that one directory that is not supposed to be SSL and have anonymous authentication will not allow access unless you hit it with an https: and authenticate.  It ignores the settings for that directory and uses the overall site settings.
On another instance the entire site is set to Anonymous Authentication except one file (login.cfm) is set to Windows Authentication.  When you enter that site it hits the login.cfm, if you authenticate it gives you more options.  If you don't you still get in but without the extra options.  The system ignores the Windows Authentication and defaults to the overall site's setting of Anonymous Authentication.  I have tried setting the authentication at the site level to both Anonymous and Windows then going through individual directories and changing them to what they should be, but the settings are ignored and it uses the overall site settings.
Is Tomcat somehow overriding the page/folder specific SSL and or Authentication settings?

Charlie, I appreciate you helping rule out the possible discrepancies in the installation.  As far as server configuration, all testing is being done on two virtual Windows Sever 2008 R2 64 bit boxes running IIS 7.5  One of the boxes was upgraded from ColdFusion 9.01 and one that is a new install on a new virtual machine.  The CF9.01 box has been processing both the SSL and non-SSL properly. The only changes I made to the CF9.01 I upgraded was to turn on CGI in the IIS settings.  Both servers show the same problems so I kind of ruled out the new server vice upgrade issue.  I checked the inheritance and all of the files have the same windows user's permissions.  I have imported the SSL certificates into the JRE\security\lib\certs.  I am guessing those are imported correctly otherwise it would not allow the SSL to work at all. All SSL/windows authentication has been set up through IIS, I have not tried to modify any Tomcat settings.
I created a .htm file and put it in both a directory that is SSL protected and one (ScheduledTasks) that is not SSL protected.  It worked fine. That is if it was in a directory that should have been protected by SSL it prompted me for my CAC and pin.  When I put it in the ScheduledTasks directory and tried opening it with a stander http:// it worked fine.  I then tried to open a .cfm in the same directory and I got the standard 403-Forbidden: Access is denied.  You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
