P6's Claim Digger vs original Claim Digger

Is the P6v7.0's Digger report static? Is it possible to alter the report in anyway, sort by Activity ID ascending, for example?
Will it export to Word or Excel?
Being relatively new to P6, I haven't spent a much time with it.
Hopefully the report's formatting and flexibility is better than what I've seen so far.
I bought the original Claim Digger 10 years ago for P3 comparisons; before Primavera bought it from HST. Great product. Invaluable.
Thanks!

keithc,
Claim Digger is a great tool for what it was designed for. Our version of CD in P6.7 has not been operational for a while due to an IS issue but we miss it often. It's like having your own data wizard in a box.
CD is able to export to MS Word or Excel. Also, the complete data analysis of a wide variety of changes is available in a text file for custom reporting.
Hope this info helps,

  • I need to print Insurance claim information on 1500CS claim forms

I have a HP Photosmark 7510 printer, Windows 7 64-bit operating system.  I need to print claim information from
my computer on a 1500CS incurance claim form.  Is there any way this can be done?  How do I adjust the margins,
test, ect. to fill in the boxes on the form neatly?

    Hi,
As mentioned above, some organisations/organizations allow user to fill out the forms very easy but many others do not have this facility. In this case, I believe the form won't let you "edit" it, therefore you need to do it by hand, using a typewriter or using a PDF editor. There is a very expensive one and there are some alternatives. Please check this (ignore the expensive one):
      http://www.labnol.org/software/edit-pdf-files/10870/
My suggestion: just one form, using a pen may be a lot quicker.

  • IPhoto claims 15 GB, Finder claims 29 GB

Okay. So this is one I really can't explain (not yet anyway).
iPhoto claims my library is 15.x GB. When viewing Events in the bottom left. You know the drill.
However, when I Get Info in Finder (for my iPhoto Library of course), Finder claims the library is just over 29 GB...
So which is right, and what can I do about it?
    Thanks in advance!

    which is right
    Both
iPhoto is telling you how much your photos take up
the finder is telling you how much the iPhoto library (photos, database files, etc) take up
what can I do about it?
Probably nothing - what do you want to do "about it"
    LN
BTW - one of my libraries (a book I am currently working on) shows 5.2GB in iPhoto and 8.48 GB in the finder
If you want to see where the space is used go to the pictures folder and right click on the iPhoto library and select the show package contents command - you can look around and see where space is being used - but do not change anything - doing so may corrupt your iPhoto library and cause you to lose data

  • Can not get access files from Windows 7 to Claims-based file authorization share

We have AD level 2012R2, DCs running 2012R2 of course, and we have clustered File Server (3 FSNodes running 2012R2).
    We enabled 2 policies
    KDC Support for claim
    Kerberos support for claim
We created 1 claim type in ADAC (For example "Division" Source Property). Filled this property to all IT AD Accounts by our value "IT"
On FS made a share folder ITDivision:
    - set permissions  Domain Users can Modify if User.Division equals "IT"
so on Windows 8 IT Users can access files on this share and on Windows 7 they cant
=\ . We know from many presentations about Dynamic Access Control that File Server must enroll user claims if client do not support this claims (Service-for-User-To-Self)

    Hi,
    >>so on Windows 8 IT Users can access files on this share and on Windows 7 they cant
=\ . We know from many presentations about Dynamic Access Control that File Server must enroll user claims if client do not support this claims (Service-for-User-To-Self)
How is it going? Was there any error message? As far as I know, Dynamic Access Control (DAC) should work for downlevel clients. It’s backwards compatible. As Florain explains in the following blog:
For non-Windows 8 and non-Windows Server 2012 boxes accessing DAC-protected file shares, the users do not carry any claims. For them, the Server 2012-based file share will query Active Directory and proxy the claims request to figure out what claims
the user and machine bring. The file server checks in the name of the user, whether they should have claims. With that information, the file server evaluates the access to the file share. So yeah – DAC works for downlevel clients, too. It’s backwards compatible.
And totally transparent to Windows 7.

  • Cannot create dataset from claims based authentication sharepoint site in report builder 3.0

    Hi Foxvito,
Claims authentication types supported by SharePoint 2010 are Windows Claims, forms-based authentication Claims, and SAML Claims. In SAML-Claims mode, SharePoint Server accepts SAML tokens from a trusted external Security Token Provider (TST). From the
blog you referenced, it seems to use the SAML Claims authentication.
However, the Reporting Services client applications: Report Builder, the Report Designer in Business Intelligence Development Studio, and Management Studio do not support connecting and authenticating with LiveID or SAML Claims based SharePoint Web applications.
That's because the SAML Claims don't use the Reporting Services authentication endpoint. So, you have to change the Claims authentication type to use Report Builder on the SharePoint site.

  • Claim status report - PC00_M40_REMS

    Hi experts
Claims status report PC00_m40_rems is showing incorrect balance.  That is,  for example, eligibility is Rs. 50000
Step1: Claim for the month for April is Rs.5000. Claim processed through PC00_M40_REMP. The claim status was successfull.
After the above step, REMS report shows  Eligibility Rs.50, 000/- Claim payment - 0, claim due - Rs.5000/-, balance Rs.45000/- and no.of claim 1
Step2: Claim was processed through offcycle payroll - PC00_m40_calc. After this process, the REMS report shows - Eligibility Rs.50000/-, claim payment - Rs.5000, claim due - Rs.5000/-, balance Rs.40,000/- and no. of claim 2
Step3:  Then regular payroll was run. After the regular payroll, REMS is showing correct details i.e. Eligibility Rs.50,000/- Claim payment Rs.5000/-, Claim due - 0, balance Rs.45,000/- and no. of claim 1
I suppose, the balance should show correct balance of Rs.45,000/- after the second step mentioned above.
I have maintained bank details - Main bank and Main bank for offcycle.
    Kindly guide me.

  • Claims debacle (error) with Term Store: "Could not retrieve a valid windows identity" for all sites in a particular web app.

When I pull up the Term store in CA or any MySite collection, it works.
When I do so in any other site collection (HNSCs, incidentally), It doesn't return any term stores.

The "The caller is not authorized to access the service." message seems pertinent.
Both web apps are using only NTLM auth.
The url for both web apps ends in the same contoso.com domain.
I get the same errors no matter what account I use, including the install account.
    Things I've tried:
Deleting and building a new HNSC root web app and site. Error happens in all sites in all web apps except the PBSC hosting MySites.
Giving the root site app pool identity full control of the metadata service app (even though the MySite identitiy doesn't have it)
Giving the root site app pool identity full permissions on the metadata service app.
Comparing database and web app config permissions between dev (where everything works perfectly) and prod (where it does not).
Made sure IIS auth settings on both sites are identical
Both sites are using the same SSL certificate (though the call to the web service appears to be http)
Reprovisioned the metadata service app with a new database and new app pool identity.
Made sure C2WT is running. Tried it with the service stopped as well.
Web.configs are identical between working and non-working apps.
I'm stumped but still Googling. I'm hoping to avoid having to call Micrososft. Any help would be appreciated!
    UPDATE:
Interestingly, when I restored the web application from backup (via CA), I ended up with 3 identical "Windows Authentication" authentication providers assigned to the problem web app. Since there was more than one, I was directed to the provider-chooser
page when visiting the site. Upon choosing 1 of the 3, I was authenticated, and *poof*, no more authentication errors and the term store loaded term sets as expected.
Of course, 3 providers was not an ideal state, so I grabbed the one that worked (#1) via get-spauthenticationprovider, and assigned it to the web app via set-spwebapplication, and my problem returned.
I am currently updating the farm to SP1 from June 2013 CU. Fingers crossed.
    Update:
The update to SP1 went smoothly, but did not resolve the issue. Also related (I believe) are the random authentication errors when trying to upload images to some libraries, and 401-errors on the accessdenied.aspx page itself.
    Update:
The problem is resolved, seemingly after making 4 changes. I'm trying to narrow down which change was the cure, if any:
I installed SP1 on all 6 servers, rebooted and upgraded. This appeared to have no effect.
Removed an old login from SQL that no longer existed in AD because of this ULS error:
System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The user or group contoso\svc_xxxxxxxxx' is unknown., StackTrace:    at Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities.SPUtility.GetFullNameFromLoginEx(String loginName, Boolean&
    bIsDL)
This login was the identity of the application pool that used to run the web app in question.
This login was the schema owner of a schema named after itself on every SharePoint database so I changed the schema owner to dbo but left the schema attached.
The problem may have surfaced initially when the app pool identity was changed in CA, but went unnoticed?
Note that the web app had been deleted and recreated many times with a new identity and pool to no avail, but the URL remained the same throughout each attempted fix. Relevant?
Grasping at straws, I changed the app pool identity for this web app to the same one that runs the MySite web app pool as per this only slightly related problem: http://www.planetsharepoint.org/m/preview.php?id=372&rid=34764&author=Vlad+Catrinescu
I changed the authentication method from NTLM to Negotiate.
I am rolling back #3 and #4 to see if the issue resurfaces.
    Update:
It doesn't appear to have been the NTLM/Negotiate setting. Web app is currently set to NTLM and all is well. No strange accessdenies, and term Store is still manageable from all sites.
Update: Sorry for the delay. I am administering 6 farms these days. Will update as soon as the final phase of rollbacks happens.
    I think I can. I think I can.

maybe that web app was accidentally created with classic auth?
here's an example of how to create claims based, with classic, and then "doing 2013" claims
#Create the example web application, as mentioned above, either with gui, and pick later, or
    New-SPWebApplication-ApplicationPool$applicationPool-ApplicationPoolAccount$serviceAcct-Name$WebApp-Port
    5050
    -databaseName$contentDB-securesocketslayer
    #If doing for 2013
    New-SPWebApplication-ApplicationPool$applicationPool-ApplicationPoolAccount$serviceAcct-Name$WebApp-Port
    5050
    -AuthenticationProvider(new-spauthenticationprovider)
    -databaseName$contentDB-secureSocketsLayer

  • Nameidentifier claims is no longer in the token issued by Access Control Service(ACS) with newly created ACS

    Hi,
In our existing ACS, when we add a new relying party with that associate with rule as bellow:
    input claim type as
    htp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/nameidentifier
    and output claim type as
    htp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/name
When I used the ACS created previously, for token I received, I have
    Received claims with existing ACS:
    htp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/nameidentifier:           testoem2,
    htp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/name:             TESTOEM2-MS,
    htp://schemas.microsoft.com/accesscontrolservice/2010/07/claims/identityprovider:                htps://wp8partnerservicesv1-tst.accesscontrol.windows.net/
but for the new ACS namespace, when I configure it exactly the same way, I receive
    htp://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2005/05/identity/claims/name:             TestOem2-MS,
    htp://schemas.microsoft.com/accesscontrolservice/2010/07/claims/identityprovider:                htps://zackpartnerservice1-tst.accesscontrol.windows.net/'
The nameidentifier claim is no longer in the token.
Does anyone from Azure ACS team know what change in ACS might have cause this issue and how do I config the ACS so that I can get nameidentifier claim in the token too?
since my account is not verified, I use h_ttp instead of http in my question.

  • InfoPath unable to call OOTB webservices in a SAML claims web application

We have InfoPath Path forms with Nintex workflows that we are planning to move to SharePoint 2013. The SharePoint 2013 web app is using SAML claims , ping federate is the identity provider.
We are unable to make a call from InfoPath to the OOTB webservices. We tried using the Secure store and UDCX file but that also does not seem to work with SAML based claims. Has anyone come across this scenario who can suggest an alternate solution?

    Hi Supriya,
From the link below, InfoPath forms service does not work with SAML authentication.
Features that do not work with forms-based authentication or SAML security tokens:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh706161(v=office.14).aspx
There is no dedicated clarify for SharePoint 2013. However, I found some threads that also reports that InfoPath form won't work with claim-based except NTLM claim, such as:

  • Claim Adjustments

    Hello
When the employees are not regular, i.e., they are absent for one or two months, and their payroll is not processed for those months, multiple claims are displayed. Claims are displayed when deduction is more than earnings. If an employee is regular and in his subsequent month the earning exceed deductions, the claims part is automatically adjusted and there is no problem. But if he is irregular, then the claims (say Rs. 1000) in one month (say in April) is again shown in subsequent months (say May & June) when his salary are not processed and it appears . When the salary is processed in July, it shows a claims of Rs. 3000/-.
So please let me know how to adjust the claims for irregular employees.

    Hi,
For this ireegular employee you can recover this claims amount outside the system.
Then you can put a same payment amount in IT0015 and adjust the amount.
    Thanks,
    Sutapa.

    Hi,
Out here assign the question sequences* which you have defined, to the new ICT at claim header level, depending on the facts capture category.
IMG path: SAP Insurance -> Claims Management -> Claim -> Process Control (Internal Claim Types) -> Configure Internal Claim Types
*the question sequence may consists either of
    a) Std question group
    Or
    b) Quick question group,

  • Two versions of original Airport card?

I have only today learned that the original Airport card came in two versions: 661-2219, which does not have the capability of accessing a WPA-protected router, and 661-2549, which does. My question is, how do you distinguish between these two cards, visibly or otherwise?

It was not 'suddenly discovered,' as we have made this claim for many years. I don't understand how it is inconsistent with what you insist to be the case, as…
    • we refer only to the A/B revisions—which you agree do not support WEP beyond 40 bits—to be incapable of supporting WPA, as they shipped from the factory
    • we sell such cards with the lower level of capability for use in pre-OS X 10.3 installations with the clear caveat that such cards, as sold, don't support WPA or—if you will—are not guaranteed to, and should be expected to, support WPA
It's not in our financial interest to apply firmware to the older cards which we periodically encounter and we don't claim that it has been done, as we don't test each card specifically for such capabilities. Why bother to, when they are sold indicating that they do not support WPA? We don't speak for others in the industry, only for ourselves. And, we attempt to convey simple, accurate information. In this case, we think we achieve that in a way that lowers what might otherwise be heightened user expectations and avoid unintended outcomes.
Since the higher cost cards are priced at a level consistently at or lower than most vendors and carry a one-year warranty, and the less capable early cards are discounted from that level yet carry the same warranty, we think that they pair offer better overall value to most users under most circumstances. That said, they can be less expensive—or, more expensive—than some unsupported product sold on eBay. But, ours are tested and warranted, and the price has remained consistent across low and high availability situations, something that we again believe provides better overall value to buyers.
Sure, they might—in fact—support it, in some circumstances. But, we would be inundated with complaints from users wanting such support if the individual card they purchased did not support it when they received that specific card. While Apple claims that the original AirPort base station never supported WPA, you need only put a WPA capable replacement card in it and use the appropriate software to gain access to this feature. Components other than the card itself in an AirPort base station can be reasonably characterized as passive. It is the card itself that determines the capabilities of the base station.
We're currently out of the original cards, or I would arrange to ship you one of each to test in your own environment to satisfy your concerns. In our case, testing cards at one point for such capabilities reasonably satisfied us that M7600LL/A and B cards did not support WPA 'out of the box' and so we've simply pointed that out.
It's akin to saying that original iMacs based upon a G3 processor do not support the installation of Mac OS X, unless and until a suitable firmware update is applied. And that statement also is true, given that most shipped pre-OS X and without the installed firmware.
How do I put this? Most alternative suppliers in this industry are chumps: they know little, and care even less. It's all about 'turn and burn' to them, and they seek almost exclusively to maximize their opportunity. Despite their claims, they could care less about customers. You only have to look around the web to figure that out…
We've been quietly engaged in this market in the background for nearly twenty years, so we know a thing or two about the other players.
We find it too cumbersome to explain the capabilities of the original AirPort cards in general beyond what we describe, and not economical to upgrade the firmware of such cards and attempt to sell them as the second generation of that product line, thereby creating an instantaneous identification conflict.
When we receive and qualify additional cards, I will get ahold of you in The Lounge if you are interested in setting up a 'lab test' on your own premises, or modifying the A or B card by applying a firmware update.
To some degree, the argument is moot: Apple no longer supports the original card at all, and the second generation of the product line remains supported only in California, and only for a limited remaining time period.
