P67A-GD53 stuck in APS LED 1, No Beep and Black Screen

Hi,
I just got my full new gaming Pc, I mount all component and when I press PWR Button, fans, leds, GPU, HDD and all items switch on, but my APS led 1 stuck in LED 1, no beeps black screen, and it can stay all night on without changing...
My Components:
MOBO: P67A-GD53
CPU: Intel 3rd Generation Core i5-3570K CPU (4 x 3.40GHz, Ivy Bridge, Socket 1155, 6Mb L3 Cache, Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)
GPU: Asus nVIDIA 3D GeForce GTX 560 TI DirectCu II TOP Graphics Card (1GB)
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-700GUK Gaming Series GS700 High Performance 700W Power Supply
RAM: Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Two Module Kit
I read some things over internet and they say lot of things, I have some ideas, Maybe PSU (My CPU fan stops at 5 seconds after power on, that's normal?), maybe corrupted MOBO or maybe CPU.
Any suggestions are
Thanks, and sorry for my bad English

I know for sure you will have more questions when you get the Z77 but one thing is when you do get it is don't assemble it in the case right away. Do initial assembly outside the case with MB on a sheet of plain brown cardboard or on a cardboard box. That will save you time and extra work until you get it running properly.
One hint now is for initial start up use only 1 stick of RAM in the black slot nearest the CPU, do not put all of the sticks in right away. Also take note that the green LAN LED will probably not light up on the first start up, that's normal and will be OK after it is started a 2nd time. That will happen every time you remove power from the MB such as unplugging PSU or turning off the PSU switch. We'll be here waiting for you to answer any more questions you may have.
Thanks for the information!
It will arrive tomorrow, I will tell you how is it going.

  • No LED light on front and black screen when trying to start up

Not sure why started my Mac just like everyday and I noticed it had frozen on start up screen was shaky but froze none the less. I tried to restart with the button on the front and nothing but the hard drive kicking in and the light on the button won't stay on like when it is up and running but will flash if you hold it and try restarting. Tried hooking up other monitor and the other monitor won't display so I don't think it is the monitor and like I said I can hear the hard drive and computer come on I just have a black screen and no lighted button on the front. Anybody have any suggestions. My iMac G3 is a 600mhz graphite running 10.4 and classic 9.2 but very rarely do I use the classic on that one as I have another just like it and they were networked together this one is fine. Help!!
    iMac G3 600mhz Graphite Mac OS X (10.4.3) also runs classic 9.2

Thanks but that wasn't it. I replaced the battery and reset the PMU, still no luck. I've tried hooking up an external monitor still nothing, in doing all of this the person helping and I noticed that when you push the button on front to power up it doesn't light but I'm also not getting a start up chime, only the click of the hard drive then in pushing the button to power it off the light will blink and I think it is shutting down. Any other suggestions.

    Hi
My lumia 720 suddenly stuck and black screen with Nokia Symbol is displaying I have tried for soft reset but it doesnt work will someone help me its very urgent
    varun

You can try to perform the soft reset again. If this would fail, below hardware key reset combination is what I can suggest. This deletes all the personal content of the phone.
    Option 2: Hardware key combination
Use this option if the phone fails to fully switch on when pressing the power on key.
Note: No warning about data loss!
Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone 8
    Step 1
Make sure the charger is disconnected.
    1. Switch the power Off.
    2. Press and hold the Volume down and connect the charger, if succeed an exclamation mark (!) is shown on the screen.
    Step 2
Then input the keys in the following order:
    1. Volume up
    2. Volume down
    3. Power
    4. Volume down
    Step 3
The phone will reset and boot up automatically. Please note that this may take several minutes.

  • Stuck on moving bar and black screen?

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite A300 Series. Windows Vista. My laptop was working perfectly fine last night and when I woke up this morning, I turned it on and it was stuck on the Windows Corporation where the green bar is moving from left to right. I tried doing pressing F8 for safe mode and it went pass through the moving bar but then the screen turned black and all I can move is the cursor. I left it there for good hours just to see if it'll work but it stayed like that. I also tried start up repair and it said if the start up repair fixed the problem, windows should start normally. Then I clicked finish, but it still did the same, still stuck on the moving bar. It showed me a code 0x0 after the start up repair if that will help?
Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated! Thank you!

  • How can i Use my apple 4 phone again - I was instructed to restore my phone with itunes and now it's stuck with the itunes logo and black screen Itunes has said unable to restore and now left unable to use my phone and not sure if I have any data on it?

I was instructed by I Tunes to restore my Iphone 4 - ITunes has since said it is unable to restore.  I  am now left with a black screen with Itunes logo on it and a picture of the charger attachment at the base of the screen and I am unable to do anything now with the device.  I think I may have lost all of my information on the device too ~ can anyone help please?

You have lost all your data, but hopefully you were backing it up with iCloud or iTunes. You can try this:
Turn your phone off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your phone and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a phone in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.

  • PowerBook G4 - Won't Start Up - 3 Strange Beeps then just LED flashes and sudden death - black screen.

PowerBook G4 - Won't Start Up - 3 Strange Beeps then just LED flashes and sudden death - black screen.
Prior that the powerbook also couldn't start but I could see the Apple logo, so via fire-wire (holding T at start up) I backed up the hard disk.
Check via DiskToolPro the structure, defragmented. Via DiskWarrior rebuild the directory
and finally not been able to access the drive I reformatted the drive via fire-wire drive.
Re-started the powerbook holding C to boot up from DVD - nothing
Re-started again and it give me one long beep and black screen. An indication that my 1gig RAM is bad or gone (?) and the DVD is stuck inside.
Bought new one 1 gig, installed it and now I'm getting only three beeps.
I tried all, changed the slots several times and nothing.
    I tried more as:
c -- to boot from CD (again while the DVD is still inside and I cannot get it out)
cmd-opt-p-r -- to Zap the PRAM,
cmd-opt-n-v -- to clear NV RAM,
cmd-opt-o-f -- to boot into open firmware … and nothing. The DVD is in and I have
black screen with three beeps and flashing LED.

But it is the faulty Logic board?
There was a known issue with LBs in 15-inch PowerBooks with 1.5 and 1.67Ghz processors in which one RAM slot would fail. There once was a repair extension program that fixed the problem at no cost, but it is long-expired.
The problem with seeking a used logic board for these models is that so many had their boards replaced that it increases the chances of the boards in the used/pulled markets having the same problem you have now. The replacement program also came close to exhausting the supply of new boards,
If it turns out to be a bad LB and you can't find a replacement, consider how used computer pricing works: A used computer is worth hugely more in parts than if bought as a working unit. I.E, you can probably find a working PowerBook that will cost less than the logic bard alone. It also possible to find a used MacBook Pro for less that a replacement LB.
If you tell us your approximate geographic location, we can see what's available nearby. I'm also retired, and and visiting my wife's family this week so have even more time than usual to help you search.

  • 8120 Pearl Black Screen, Slow Red Blinking LED. Data Recovery?

    Hi,
I've been tearing my hair out for the last four or five hours (a drop in the ocean compared to some people with the similar problem I've read about), but I haven't given up hope of recovered my data - I'll happily condemn the phone if I could get just 5 minutes to copy the memo pad files and voice notes!
    ANYWAY, here's the story:
My 8120 has been working fine.  I checked it, put it back in my pocket.  2 minutes later, I took it out and got the slow flashing red light.  I hadn't dont anything to it...no spilling, no knocking, no random button presses.  Nothing.
So I tried to plug it into the charger - that did nothing.  Same slow red LED flash and black screen.  After 5 minutes I plugged it into my computer, first with the battery, then without.  Exactly the same.  My computer recognises it as plugged in when the light is on, and unplugged when the light is off - I've read this is common.
I download Blackberry Desktop Software.  It kept giving me the message telling me to either hit retry or update every time the light came on.  Retry did nothing, so UPDATE it was.   This is where the interesting thing happens - it scans for software updates - this stops the phone flashing altogether and suggests I proceed with the update.  I would do this, except when it suggests I back-up/encrypt the backup, these options are grayed out.  My data is more important to me than the phone (I know, I'm an **bleep** for not backing up before, but what's not done is not done)
So, it appears if I do the update my phone will be wiped.  Can anyone confirm this? Then I installed the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and clicked on the add/remove apps.   It did the same thing - seemd to recognise the phone and the LED went out.  It told me how much space I had left on the internal memory - 22.2mb. I saw the internal memory is 32mb, so so long as the operating system isn't 10.2mb, it would mean my data is still on there?
SO for now I've decided to plug it into the wall and leave it for a few hours to see what happens.  Can anyone think of anything else I can try? Is there any software or any other way I could rescue my Memopad and Voice Notes files? Sorry if this has been gone over again and again, but I don't know what else to do!
    Many thanks,
    Andy.

Hello andoak and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Usually, the black screen with the red LED blinking indicates there is a problem with the core software and it needs to be reloaded for functionality to resume.
If you are reloading the software and the options are grayed out to back up that usually indicates the data is not able to be backed up.
On a brighter side, if you saved your voice notes to your media card, they should still be there. As for the Memos, if you never backed up or synchronized with a desktop application, they are lost.
If you have email accounts set up, after the software reload completes, resend your service books as shown in KB15402 to resume email.
    Hope this helps.

  • P67A-GD53 - B3 a few questions regarding a 2500K

Just came from a P45 Platinum and Q9550 (which I love and it's now in my secondary PC) to a P67A-GD53 - B3 and 2500K. Wow these chips fly!
I've updated to the latest bios (1.19, should put those Ivy Bridge bios 4.xx files in a separate section, confusing as I nearly updated to one by accident) which has solved a number of issues (mouse not working in BIOS, better fan control.) Great!
However, have a few more niggling problems.
    1) I had to place 2x8GB sticks in dimm 2 and 4 due to my heatsink. In the manual it says populate dimm 1 and 3 first for dual channel.
Common sense tells me dimm 2 and 4 should still work fine, however nowhere in the bios does it tell me I'm running in dual channel mode. I tried disabling the boot pic, but the darn thing boots so fast I can't for the life of me read what it says on post - even pause/break won't register it's so fast. Sooo...
Does anyone know how to check if it's running in dual channel mode? CPU-Z says dual, but doesn't mention symmetrical / asymmetrical etc, the box is greyed out. Or is there no such thing as symmetrical / asymmetrical on a 2500K?
    2) The bios does one long beep followed by two short beeps on post. I have only a USB mouse attached. P45 used to beep for USB devices, but this is different. It works 100% fine, but what's with the annoying beeps on post? Do I have to unplug the case speaker to avoid that racket each boot? No options to turn off in bios. Also why is it doing it? Makes it seem like something is wrong on post, but can't identify any issues.
    3) P45 Platinum used to still downclock voltage when you manually set it - it would simply add a + or - offset to all speedstep default voltages depending on what you manually selected.  The P67A-GD53 - B3 doesn't have this option - is this for Z68 boards only, or am I limited to sticking with AUTO only. AUTO actually seems to set it really well for turbo 4.2Ghz settings using around 1.30v (which the board seems optimised for a standard 2500K overclock), however it's strange this option was taken away when other P67 boards seem to have it.
    4) Active Phase Switching (APS) vs Intel CPU Power Phase control. Why have both? I'd imagine APS is now redundant now Intel have phase control logic as part of their specification.
    5) C1E is disabled by default. This is a bios controlled improved HALT status, switching off clocks and voltages. Did some checks and it seems 99% of power savings come from Windows controlled C-States and EIST (speedstep) on the 2500K and C1E actually isn't really needed anymore - in fact it can cause issues with SSD performance, latency and can prevent Windows having complete control of C-States in power management. Decided to leave this disabled as saw some power meter tests and it really did nothing vs other modern C-States once Windows boots up.

1.) With the pxx series 1 & 3 or 2&4 are both fine.
2.) The first beep is probably ok "ok" post beep , then mouse and keyboard.
3.) You should be able to get around a 4.5 ghz turbo oc with your set-up. See screen shots here of sample settings: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=162043.0
The vdroop options are your platform aren't very good and I believe are opposite. So set your to "low". (Test each way I don't have that board)
4.) I enabled both and was stable on a previous computer.
5.) C1E supports has been replace by Intel C State.

  • MSI P67A-GD53 - Win 7 x64 PC Cannot Restart when OC Genie turned on

    Hi,
My PC will not reboot from Windows when OC Genie is active on my recently built PC.
The PC will power down, but does not restart again. I have to hold down the power switch to turn of the machine completely and then turn the PC back on manually.
When OC Genie is off, the issue is not present, the PC can restart from Windows as normal.
I'd like to be able to use OC Genie, but this issue makes it too much of a pain. I've read in to ACPI a bit, but it's not obvious to me how OC Genie might interfere with this.

  • MSI P67A-GD53 Not POSTing

    Hi y'all,
Just bought an MSI P67a-GD53 (B3) Motherboard as part of a new build. The rest of the system is as follows
    Intel Core i5 2500k
    2 x 2GB Corsair XMS3 1600Mhz RAM
    MSI Twin Frozr GTX560Ti
Antec Trupower 650W Modular Power Supply
    Crucial RealSSD 64GB
    Thermaltake Fri CPU Cooler
The problem I'm having is the system won't POST at all. When I plug in and power up all the fans (CPU,System & GPU) spin up, all the CPU Phase LEDs light up and remain lit but the monitor displays "No Signal" and there are no beeps from the internal speaker. I have tried with both sticks of RAM in the primary slot (the blue one closest to the cpu) and I've tried booting with CPU only, CPU + RAM only, CPU + RAM + GPU  only.... all giving me exactly the same problem.
All power cords are correctly connected, I've tried breadboarding the whole thing to ensure there are no short circuits. The only time it does anything different is when i leave the 8-PIN CPU power connector unplugged, in which case only the first CPU phase LED lights up and all the fans spin up for approx 4 secs before powering down, then  powering back on again and repeating until I cut the power.
    Any bright ideas?

  • P67A-GD53 (B3) Missing Front Panel Connectors

I've received a brand new P67A-GD53 (B3) board this morning and it appears to have no front panel connectors for power switch, LEDs, speaker etc.
In place of the connectors there are two black components wired into the position where the front panel pins ought to be, according to the manual.
The manual shows the correct connectors JFP1 and JFP2 and the box contained the usiual MSI 'M-Connectors' which are designed to fit on the front panel connector pins, but my board just has these odd components instead. The only way I can switch the PC on or reset it is by using the green buttons on the main board itself.
Have I got myself a non-standard version of the board? It was purchased from a trade distributor in the UK.

I got a few complaints on this subject and my first thought was pirated mainboards.
    Not this case.

  • P67A-GD53 B3 with new GPU

My graphics card died so I am on the look out for a new one. I was thinking of splashing out on the MSI GTX 770 Twin Frozr Gaming 2gb. However, I have read in a few places that people are having a very hard time getting some versions of the 770 to work with this mainboard.  Does anyone have any information on this? Is it a known problem?  I'd really appreciate any help as I have been stuck with a broken system for about a month at this stage.
    Here's my setup:
    CPU: i5-2500k
    MB: MSI P67A-GD53 B3
    RAM: 8gb Corsair 1600 mhz
    PSU: Cooler Master Gx 650w

ok so if I went with a 670 for example (which I am finding very difficult to source at any sort of realistic price), flashing the BIOS would definitely work with it? I can probably live without the OC for the minute. I can't really afford both a new board and graphics card.  Will the lack of OC really affect the performance much? Like would it not be worth getting a new beefy graphics card without it? I had the overclock genie turned on so the CPU was at 4.2 instead of 3.3 up to now. Would buying a Z77 board give me the option of using my current CPU with a new graphics card while retaining the old overclocking capabilities? Sorry I am not very good at this whole thing.

  • Help, P67A-GD53 B3 won't boot

    Hi,
    Please help
Had my p67a-gd53b3 for a few months now. About 2 months ago, it wouldn't boot with 2 sticks of corsair vengeance DDR3 1600. Too fix this I removed one, booted no problem.
Today nothing, no boot. No error messages, all 7 power LEDs light, reset CMOS, rebuilt Pc.
Strange thing I don't even have a error with no ram installed.
I am thinking its either the mobo is gone, or could be the PSU. RAM is on order anyway.
Any ideas or pointers would be great!!!

In the manual it states you can press the CMOS reset button and the system should restart. It doesn't do this but I have done it and no luck
Another symptom is the monitor seems to get a signal but displays nothing. Pointing to the GPU
I don't have anyother computers available to me. So I can't remove and test, I will have to buy new ones and check that way. I ve also done a rebuild with the new ram but again no luck

  • PCI-E slot possibly not working (P67A-GD53)

    Hello all,
New guy here. New MSI customer and everything.
I just built a new PC today with a MSI P67A-GD53. I first plugged in the VGA (a MSI GeForce GTX 560Ti OC Twin FrozR II) to the top PCI-E slot.
On boot, I get what I think is a VGA problem beep code (1 long - 3 short beeps). This happened with 2 different VGAs. I also tried my old XFX 8800 GT.
The computer boots fine when I plug in the MSI VGA to the second (bottom) PCI-E slot.
Does this mean that the top slot is broken? I guess I could try the 8800 at the same time to see if it works when 2 VGAs are plugged in, but I suspect it wont. Should I get the motherboard replaced? I am considering not getting it replaced now since I ordered it from the UK and I live in Cyprus and replacement could take a month to complete (posting overseas). Would that be a bad idea? I fear that if one part of the motherboard is faulty, it could potentially have other problems as well.
