P70-A 3G problem

Dear Lenovo, I assume you have been already informed by your Bulgarian colleagues about issues with P70-A. The problem with this device is that it is not working properly on 3G netwroks in Bulgaria. In fact most of the time it doesn't work and results are sms for missed calls and impossibility to use this device as a smartphone because high speed internet is not working. It is very annoying. There are also other issues like bad working microphone after making a video.Please be so kind and inform us when all these issues will be corrected.I'm looking forward to receive you replyThanks

Hello.
I have a problem with the boot of my Satellite P70.
The first time that I push the power button, it appears the screen with the Toshiba logo but Windows 8.1 doesnt start.
If I power off the pc with the power button and push the power button another time, appears Windows without problems.
Someone could help me?

First of all try to set the BIOS to default settings.
Power up the unit and press F2, now you should be able to access the BIOS.
Within the BIOS press F9 to get default values and save the changes pressing F10
After that check if the notebook would boot properly.
In case the issue would still persist, disable the fast startup as described here:

I bought lenovo P70-A yesterday and i instal game CarXdrift from play store, the orientation is bit off. how to recalibrate the Accelerometer sensor ?, i tried almost all callibration software in playstore but nothing work.

i read this on one lenovo p70 forum, which the author solved his problem. below is the step (translated)
1. type * # * # 3646633 # * # * on dialpad and go to ENGINEER MODE menu
2. go to HARDWARE TESTING
3. scroll down until you find SENSOR menu
4. select SENSOR CALIBRATION
5. select Gsensor Calibration
6. place your handset on a flat surface and click Do Calibration
7. wait until "operation succeed" notification.
8. done.

Speaker and Bluetooth Headset Problem on Lenovo P70

Hello All, I have purchased Lenovo P70 one month ago. This phone is pretty nice for day to day use. But I am facing some peculiar problem as follows: While using any VOIP application like Skype, Viber, Whatsapp, imo (or whatever); if i try to go from earphone to speaker or bluetooth headset mode, I can't hear any sound. The sound nither plays on earphone or on the speaker or bluetooth headset. Even the other party can't here. Even my cheaper Lenovo A329 has no problem doing so. I'm sure this is a software glitch which needs to be fixed. For your information, my build number is P70-A_S129_150320_16g_ROW Kindly let me know if there's any solution.

To be honest with you, I haven't tried the headset which came in box. but surely the speaker mode dosen't work properly in any VOIP application. the sound hangs for about 30-40 seconds and even after the sound comes, it goes again. As for BT headset, kindly see the screenshot below to get better idea. Since the BT headset works fine in normal calls, I'm pretty sure, the problem lies in the OS. If you have the device around, I would urge you to check for yourself for the problem. I have tried the similar things with my friends P70, the problem remains same. Kindly do the needful

Hello, after couple of weeks of using this phone I found some really anoing things.
1) when I lunch the gallery, brightness is changed by itself to the maximum. It's really unpleasant and weird.
2) Control of dark (turned off) screen. I mean double tap to the screen to unlock device and double tap to the home button to take a picture. It's both a really cool and useful features and I really would like to use them. But on this phone it's unusable. When you guys (lenovo developers) are already using the proximity sensor in this situation for showing the awesome message that the screen is covered. Then why you rather use it for deactivating this two functions when the screen is covered. Because when I wanted to use these functions the phone was taking pictures in my pocked, and was unlocking by itself, so I had to deactivated it. Plus showing the message is just a wasting of baterry.
3) Smart scenes : could you please add a real minimum for brightness option. I would find it really useful for my night scene, it's much more pleasant for eyes, than dimmer option (5 to 10 percent of brightens I guess).
I would be really glad if these problems was solved.
4) also photos and videos quality is not somehow stunishing. Especially slow motion video quality is really bad. But I guess it caused more by photo chip itself than some software issues. So it's not that easy to fix as those below.

My P70 turns very hot when I used it and drains very fast compare to what is advertised.. And recently, I have this problem, the screen turns to black for hours, when I decided to have it check in the service center it goes back to normal again, this happens twice already in one week.

Satellite P70-A-11V - does HDD protection work without accelerometer?

I am new here.
I already made another post. In brief, I am pretty much expert in Toshiba Satellite laptops, but my new one, Satellite P70-A-11V, a high-end professional laptop, had some issues. It came with Windows 8, which I upgraded to 8.1. Unfortunately, the system degraded so bad that all pendrives made it crash. I connected my Toshiba camcorder to it, and it also crashed the laptop.
The search indexing was not working outside the C: drive. The pointer of any optical mouse started to freeze for seconds on the screen.
This latter I believe was due to underpowered USB ports.
So, I really had no choice after 2 total system restores, and installed Windows 7 Enterprise x64, SP1. The OS looks almost ok, but I still have problems, and one of these is that however I try to install the accelerometer utilities, there is no driver.
I tried the one for Windows 8 x64, but it just does not appear on the services list.
I found that the HDD protection utility was also stopped, and I searched this forum, and someone told that the Intel Rapid Storage technology should be uninstalled. I did so, and my HDD protection is running... but I am not sure if it is effective!
I remember that with the Windows 8.1, the utility always showed a message on the upper right corner: Vibration is detected etc, that the disk is temporarily shut down etc.
It was associated with some high pitch noise indicating that the disk was indeed stopped. Now I can shake the laptop, but no message pops up, no sound is heard.
I checked all the checkboxes at the HDD protection interface to indicate if there is vibration, but so far nothing. The HDD protection is up and running, but in the absence of accelerometer utility, the HDD protection just does not know when to act.
Am I right? Can Toshiba medicate this?

Toshiba drivers and tools released for Win 8 or Win 8.1 are not fully comparable with the Toshiba software available for Win 7 OS.
Some drivers and tools which are available for Win 8 dont exist for Win 7 system.
For example; the Accelerometer Utilities or HDD Protection Utility were released especially for Win 8 / Win 8.1 system and are not available for Win 7.
But for Win 7 you will find the Toshiba VAP (value added package) and this package installs a range of important utilities which are essential component of Windows system and this VAP is required to make the other TOSHIBA original programs work properly.
Therefore you should install the VAP as first Toshiba tool to ensure that other software like HDD/SSD Alert Utility or PC Health Monitor

My Qosmio is an F10-124. It was running a fully updated version of XP MCE and had not been much trouble apart from a completely new motherboard etc under warranty! It also has 2gig memory and a 160gig HDD which for some reason now is only showing 127gig.
I purchased an upgrade WIN7 package a few weeks ago and installed it, and it runs fine, better I think than XP. Drivers took a while to update but it was plain sailing really.
However I had a niggling feeling that there might be a better BIOS by now. Toshiba's site told me the latest version for this machine is 1.40 whereas it already has version 2.0. I think the site just has no support for these re-boarded machines which have R at the end of the part number. This trips up Tempro until the R is removed. I have tried the only W7 32 BIOS I can find so far, version 2.20, but installation fails, so maybe it's best left alone for now.
Don't know if this is any more than academic but at least I have succeeded running W7. Now, Qosmio Player, that's another story.

Unexpected problem with authorization scheme of type plsql function

Authorization scheme is for pages only. p2_user_priviledge is a textbox on home page which extract privilege (list of pagenos) for login user from database. Home page has no authorization required. AUTHORIZATION SCHEME always returns false. I am not able to trace problem in my code. same code works fine for a textbox's default returning 'c'.

One more problem is again related to authorization scheme.
I created one application and one authorization scheme (auth_aug) which worked finely. Then after some days i added 10 more pages to same application, But now autho_aug was always returning false for new pages. So i copied code from 'autho_aug' to new scheme 'autho_sept', & it worked for new pages. I don't understand if code is same for both scheme, why required to use two different schemes.
Now i have added few more pages to application, and facing problem mentioned earlier.

Problem with CRM_ROLES_OF_USER_GET function module in BW3.5

We have a problem in the standard function module. CRM_ROLES_OF_USER_GET. This should get the latest roles of the user but it is reading from Buffer and displaying all the old roles.
How can i clear the buffer so that this function module will return the latest roles not the old roles.

BW Extractors Problem - Source System Is Incorrect

Hello,
I performed a homogeneous system copy of our BW system from our Production BW system to the Development BW system!
But now I´m with a problem regarding the extractors... when I go to transaction RSA1, I was trying to replicate data in a BWD extractor but it gives me an error. The problem is the Source Client that is not correct, it points to our ERP Production system (P70 client 100) but it should be points to the ERP Test/Quality system (T70).
When I try to perform a "Replicate Metada" it show me the following error:
Error during the retrieval of the logon data stored in secure storage
Can you help me please, how can I correct this situation?! How can I Change the Source System?

Please have a look at SAP Note 886102 - System Landscape Copy for SAP NetWeaver BW. I think that Scenario B3 is relevant in your situation. Apparently some of the actions are not executed, e.g. Step 6.7 (rename of logical system using t/code BDLS).
Also note that nowadays there is Post-Copy Automation (PCA). Please refer to 1707321 - BW System Copy: Post Copy Automation (BW-PCA).

Satellite P70-A - BDR-UDD Code 19 error

Hi all - I've purchased a P70-A laptop about 6 weeks ago, and am having issues with the Blu Ray drive.
In device manager it shows the decide with the ! warning.... the info on the warning says "Configuration information in the registry is incomplete or damaged (Code 19)"
I've been trying to research the error - have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, but the computer is adamant that the driver installed is the best one for it.
Any ideas on how can I resolve this error? I'm at the end of editing a wedding shoot and really don't have the time to send it away for repairs if it's something I can work through myself.
Computer is running Windows 8.1 64 bit.

The problem may be that data in the registry for the device and its driver have been damaged.
Check follow steps and try to fix it:
-Go to device manager where you can see listed ODD. Click Uninstall, and then click Scan for hardware changes to load a usable driver.
-If the device is a CD or DVD drive, follow the procedure in Article ID 929461 on the Microsoft Web site - http://smallbusiness.support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/314060
-Restart the computer in Safe Mode, and then select Last Known Good Configuration. This rolls back to the most recent successful registry configuration.

Hello to everybody,
I just bought Lenovo P70 4G LTE, in which the Gallery app is playing Videos automaticlly while scrolling. Is this a special feature or problem. if it is a feature then how it can be disabled.
I read in some of the Phone specifications that the 4G "voice not supported" only data. Please explain.
Some apps are available in list of options but not visible in the app list.

Need wireless driver for Satellite P70-A-129

Hello to the Community.
I have reached a dead-end and after hours of efforts I need your input.
I have installed Windows 7 x64 on my Satellite P70-A-129 and although
I have downloaded all relevant drivers from the official support page,
and tried them all (Atheros/Qualcomm, Intel, Realtek)
the Wireless adapter is not functional as none of the drivers seems to be
the one needed.
All other subsystems/drivers are fully functional. I would enormously appreciate any
input as to where to look/what to do next.

Yes, BT installed without problems.
Intel driver, Intel Proset application, Realtek driver, all installed without problems.
The Atheros driver completed the installation but reported that it cannot find the adapter.
In ALL of the above cases the wireless adapter appears with the yellow exclamation point, just as
when there are no drivers at all.
At this point I must mention that the wireless adapter was fully functional right out of the box (Windows 8.1),
so there is no hardware problem (the laptop is two days old).
Right now I am re-installing W7 (after so many trials and since I am not going to proceed with
s/w installations unless all hardware components are fully functional) I figured what the h*** let's
try fresh......
