PA-PT integration. Booking a person on a course on a weekend.

Hi,
We have employee that have to go on courses or seminars which start on the Sunday and this is causing problems in the booking of this event. SAP sees it as a day off and thus gives an ERROR message. I have to change the message from an error to a warning and I can't find this config.
The integration between PD & PT has been enabled.
Can you please assist?

Hi,
Go to table no V_T554S and in First day is day off Change from E to W
and Second day is day off From E to W
And Non working Period From E to W.

I am getting an error " User Canceled Maintenance" while trying to book a person to a course. The person is hired properly in PA30. Not sure what step I missed out?

I see a tool to synch the Exchange address book and Cisco Personal Address book. Is there one for Domino
or has it been forgotten again?

Book a participant to a course via Profile / Individual development plan

Dear experts, I'm meeting a problem with transaction PPPM :
A person has beens assigned an Individual development plan with course types.
I want to put the status current to the course type in order to make the booking.
Then I have a pop'up with the message : "Teilnahme buchen (Integration LSO in PD) is being performed."
Then I click yes and arrive on the course booking page.
I Select the course.
I click on book and nothing happens, and nothing happens.
I click on save and nothing happens.
When I chek the participant list the person isn't booked.
I already checked the plogi quali that is set on "1 A032 Q".
Can someone hlp please?

SAP LSO - Time integration; Error Participant not available during course

the reason for this may be check any future action was done on the participant or check whether the participant is reserved/booked as a trainer on that day.
Time integration will show impact on attendance only.

Integrating SAP into a Systems Analysis course

Hi,
I am part of a group putting together a proposal to integrate SAP into our business school courses and join the UA. The faculty do not have any training in SAP, but we are looking to find out as much as we can about possible course modules for our proposal.
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions or Best Practices for integrating into SAP into a Systems Analysis course for MIS students (not Computer science students)? For our proposal we are are looking to develop a timeline for different levels of integration at the first, third and fifth year of our SAP use. What would be the best materials to integrate into a 15 week semester undergrade course where the emphasis is on the system development lifecyle up to, but not including hands-on system design?
From scanning the overviews of library materials, it looks as though the following might be possibilities (although as a guest I don't have access to the full materials):
Using Solution Manager (for the project mgt component of the course)
Business Process Integration Overview
Concepts in ERP using Fitter Snacker
ERP simulation game
Netweaver workflow exercises
Any feedback and tips for a starting point would be appreciated.

I have used every one of the resources that you list in your post. I've used all but Solution Manager in my classes. I can't say that I see how any of them relate the SDLC. As noted, ASAP would be relevant, but for an introductory level course (where students have no knowledge of SAP), I don't think that it is something I would recommend.
I've been trying to come up with something that would fit with covering the SDLC specifically, and I've not had much success. One could perhaps do some things with Visual Composer that would illustrate some of the stages of development, but the existing resources aren't really oriented towards that narative. I'll be interested to see if anyone else posts here with ideas.
One of the resources you've listed in your postERPsimhas nothing at all to do with development, but if you are looking at integrating SAP as a new resource into business-oriented classes, it is well worth investigating. I'm not sure how it might match up with your needs, but it is a very excellent vehicle for introducing ERP concepts to students in a very meaningful and interesting way.
I wish you well in your exploration of resources. As I can answer other questions, I'm happy to. I'm sure others around here may do so as well.

BUDAT and TPARTDOCNO field is not updating in HRPAD25 table

I am facing one weird issue where in HRPAD25 table field BUDAT and TPARTDOCNO is not updating for corresponding ADATNR of HRP1001 table.
Due to this when I am doing course follow -upi(marking attendance) system is throwing an error.

Are you using the LSO transactions to book the person on the course ?
Please do not use TEM transactions i.e. PSV1, PVCT etc. for trainings.

Using resource management in LSO (4.7)

Hi
For a very large danish customer we are setting up resource management in LSO(version 4.7). In doing that we have experienced a functional deficit:
If I create a course with max. capacity of 4 persons and link a 4 diff. resources each with max capacity of 1 person (ex. 4 single bedrooms for a two-day seminar) then the first allocated single room overrules the course capacity of 4. So after booking one person to the course, no more can be booked due to the max of 1 person pr. resource.
Has anyone out there experienced the same kind of limit in std. SAP? If so I will very much like to hear from you.

I am SAP consultant in a multinational company.
We want to integrate SAP with Paypal to make payments because most of our vendors only are using paypal account(or are more familiar to use it), and we want to give them a second choice to receive our payments.
We have heard and read something related to XiPAy, that links SAP to Paypal to make payments.
Regarding to Master Data we have clear that we will have to create another field called "Paypal Id" in the vendor Master Data where we will have to write the email account related to the paypal account and select as sensitive in case it changes. As well we will have to control that when a Payment method Paypal (We will customize that) is chosen, "Paypal Id" for the vendor will be mandatory.
The process will be like SAP-PAypal (XiPay)-Vendor Bank. We know that we process a payment in SAP in created a file, that will be XML, which is the format accepted by XiPAy. Do you know if we received a file back to SAP as it has been done successfully?
Our client is doing around 12000 payments/month to the vendors....Any idea about bank reconciliation?
Doe this implementation affects in some way to house banks and payment cockpit? how? what should be taken into account?

Personal Address Book Service PAB for 7960 phone on UC 7

I have created a service for PAB to allow administrator to enter in user name and PIN so users are not prompted to do so. Users want to quickly access PAB and are frustrated. Currently they have to select SERVICES button then PAB service then get a menu with 1 - Personal Address Book, 2 - Personal Fast Dials, 3 - Log Out. Is there a way to modify the service to bypass this menu and go directly to the Personal Address Book? This is what I am currently using.

Second question is that the default Personal Address Book under Directories button is not being displayed on the 7960 phone but is on the 7965 and 7970/1 phones. Is there a firmware upgrade that would allow this. Not a big deal as we don't want users to have to log in so will probably stay with the service. Just curious.

Yes, a direct link to the Personal Address Book can certainly be used with the appliance model Cisco Unified Communications Manager servers. Please see the Release Notes for CSCsl95467 for instuctions on how to set it up.

Personal address Book - Import

Hi,
Some webmail users want to do a bulk add from Global address Book to Personal address book....this seems to be a manual process....is there a better way of doing it ....instead of adding the users one by one manually....?

There is no "supported" method of doing this. Some folks have written scripts to help. In any case, there's nothing I'd feel comfortable giving a user to use. Everything would be done on the server level.
How about giving them access on a dropdown to the global adddress book? I think the Customization Guide talks about doing that.

LSO: Duplicated Records Created For Each Person During Booking For Course

Dear All,
Since 2 months ago, I've been hitting the following issue.
When I book an employee to a course through ESS, duplicated course participation records are created in the system.
The duplicated records are having different booking priorities.
And I aware that, this happened to the course which has workflow tagged to it.
Sometimes, instead of having duplicated records created, it hit dump with the following message:
"The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records."
Does anyone know what problem is this?

I face one interview question from the one of the interview. I.e.
What is GR/IR clearing a/c? what is the purpose to use GR/IR Clearing a/c? for these questions i have answered but Immediately the interviewer ask me ask me.
If i Receipt Good with Invoice what is the need of GR/IR Clearing account?

As you know GR/IR clearing is northing but Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt clearing Account. Even if you get Goods Receipt with Invoice Receipt, Still GRIR clearing Account is required. I will tell you why..
Goods Receipt is generally done by Store keeper at stores through MIGO T.code. Moment GRN is done, Accounting entry shall be generated automatically based on FI-MM Integration. As you know entry will be,
Inventory Account Dr - Asset
GRIR A/c Cr. - Liability
At the time of GRN itself liability will be created. While doing Invoice booking GRIR will be debited and Vendor will be credited. This entry will be booked by normally accounts person who knows to which vendor the liability should be assigned.
As you cannot expect a stores person to pass accounting entry system will create asset and liability whereas while doing invoice booking accounts person will assign that liability to the correct vendor. Apart from there could be reason of price difference, or debit note to be adjusted to vendor which can only be done by accounts person. So without GRIR you cannot directly debit stock and credit vendor.
That is the reason why you need a GRIR account even if goods is received with invoice.
