Residence Status Infotype 0048
Using TCode PA30, I have entered infotype 0048 and clicked on create.
I am unable to use the Create Icon without entering the Subtype.
I am getting this message 'Residence Status (0048)' not permitted Message no. PG628 Diagnosis
Infotype Residence Status (0048) cannot be maintained for this personnel number.
Procedure
The authorization of a country grouping for an infotype and type is specified in table T582L Infotypes - Country-Specific Settings. Make the
missing entry or contact your administrator.
I have seen the table T582L and Infotype 0048 and the required subtypes are present for the country grouping.
However I can use the Create button , if I enter the subtype in the initial screen for Infotype maintenance.
Is there any step I can perform , so I can create the infotype directly without entering the subtype in the initial screen , rather I could select the subtype from next screen or even from the Infotype screen.

Hi ya ,
That was really helpful. I can create the Infotype record without selecting the Subtype.
But now It wont give me the Input Help (F4) for the Subtype field when I am inside the Infotype.
It gives the F4 Input help at the very front screen to choose the subtype.
Do you know , why ?

I believe there is a PDF doc which comes with the component (it should be at your harddrive when you install it), which describes everything you will need.
In a nutshell, there are two types of relationship: sibling - sibling, parent - child (there are some more nuances, but it follows the same logic).
A relationship is created between two existing items (not sure, if you can also create a relationship for a new checked in item, but it would be just a usability). You select the type of relationship and the item - I believe depending on the relationship you may start from either item. The dialog to start is INFO (display metadata) or UPDATE (update metadata).
When a relationship is created you may watch it also from either end (again INFO is the starting point).
It is quite self-explanatory, so if you have the component installed you may just play around with it for a while and that is it.

Change Pointers not being created for HR-PA Custom Infotype

Problem Description:
We have a custom Infotype in SAP to store the data for contingent employee - Infotype 9001. Change pointers is
turned on. We are running the program RBDMIDOC to send changes to Oracle IDM using message HRMD_A. The change
detected for all infotypes except 9001. For 9001, the change pointer is not created.
The following are the current configuration details:
IDOC Extension Created to Idoc type HRMD_A07 (ZHR_EXT)
custom segment zhr_seg
Change pointers are switched on.
Change pointers switched on for message Type HRMD_A.
IDOC configuration created for Port / Process code etc.
Maintenance of view T777D - Added ZHR_SEG.
If I add the segment ZHR_SEG as a 2nd segment to Infotype 0000, I dont get a syntax error. But the changes for Infotype 9001 are not picked up.
If I add the segment ZHR_SEG as a segment to Infotype 9001, I get a syntax error - check EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (mandatory segment missing) below.

Diagnosis
The segment ZHR9001 has the attribute 'Mandatory' in the syntax description of the basic type HRMD_A07 (customer enhancement ZHR_EXT). However, the segment is missing in the IDoc. The segment number logged in the status record identifies the item before which the segment is missing.
This error may have been triggered by an unidentifiable segment before the expected mandatory segment.
Procedure
Please check the IDoc or the syntax description of the basic type HRMD_A07 (customer enhancement ZHR_EXT).

Were you able to resolve the issue?

HR-ABAP-want user exit for pa30 for creation 2001 infotype for sick leave

Hi ALL,
         My requirement like, whenever I try to create a sick leave through PA30 Tcode for infotype 2001 then the has to be trigger like, if the personnel joing date will be from Feb-Dec any date of the year then, the SL will be valid for next year Jan.
Ex; Todya I am creating SL on 2001 infotype. then the condition will
        If joining date not Jan 2007 then,
         Leave will be valid for next year Jan 2008.
So, let me know is there any user exit for this.

PS2013 - When creating a new instance of Project Server hangs in 'Waiting for resources' status

Hi,
I have one instance of Project Server 2013 fully operational and I tried to duplicate the instance to make some tests. As I know the issue of using the same Content Database of Project Server in the same Server Farm, I used the powershell backup/restore/dismount
and mount the content database to change the site IDs to avoid index duplication. The Project server database was a regular SQL backup and restore in another database.
I created a new Web App in the port 90 as show below.
Then I included the Content database of Project Server as separated DB from SharePoint for this new SharePoint -acme90 and I tried to create the new instance. The creation hanged in "Waiting for Resources" status.
To make another check excluding the reuse of the SharePoint-80 I tried to create another instance both in the SharePoint-80 where is the working instance and in the SharePoint-90, everything default and again they all hanged in Waiting for Resource.
If I try to create the instance using PowerShell I got the following error:

All SharePoint and Project Server services are running, all App Pools and sites are started at the IIS. I could not find a hanging timer job.
I cannot stop the hanged process or dismount the instances using Powershell since no instance created.
How should I solve the hanging status of creation of the instance? As they are in Hyper-V I can go back using one snapshot.

Thank your for your interest in this case.
I checked for running and crashed PWA jobs and deleted all of them just after restoring the snapshot and tried to create the new instance in the new web app in port 90 (besides the existing and working instance in port 80), but again it hanged in "waiting
for resources". There is not any timer job hanging, no error in event viewer or in log. So the error is well before working with cloned dbs.
Answering your questiion, I am working all on 2013. My intention is backup one instance of the port 80 and copy to the instance of port 90, changing of course the url and the index of the content db of SharePoint. The process I used was:
Create a new web app in port 90, creating a new SharePoint_Content_2 on a
http://server:90 site.
Created the top level site called Portal using the Team Site template.
Create a new content db for new instance of Project Server named EPM_Content_2 using Central Admin.
Backup content db from port 80 instance of Project Server and restore to this EPM_content_2 using PowerShell cmd.
Dismounted and mounted this Project Server content db to create new index for existing sites to avoid index conflicts.
Backup the Project Server DB from port 80 using SQL backup and restored as ProjectWebApp2 db for port 90 instance.
Tried to create a new instance of Project Server
http://server:90/pwa on web app of port 90 using the ProjectWebApp2 db and using the same app pool of the other instance. But as in the previous case, it hang out in "Waiting for resources".

1. I create Structure in se11. HRI9119
2. In PPCI , i create infotype 9119
3.In SM30 , I Maintain table T777i, here i selected my infotype (9119), then i clicked on infotype per object type and assign subtype (9229, 9339) to the my infotype .
4. After that, in same screen, i selected my infotype and assign TIME CONSTANT to my all subtype and infotypes.
After this , any think required to maintain , Plz tell me.. i didn't find my subtype in PP01.

Hi Venkatesh,
The new subtype has to be maintained in table V_778U.Also you need to relate the new subtype to object type in table T777Z and miantain the time contraints.

Access transaction SM30/31 for table maintenance. Enter view name V_778U.
Select maintain and enter the subtype for the custom infotype.
Also remember to enter the time constraint for the subtypes mainatined in table T777Z.

Personnel Management --> org management --> basic settings --> data model enhancement --> infotype maintenance --> maintain subtypes.

Workflow - Create a new buisness object type for an new infotype.

Hi all,
I have an issue with creating a new buisness object type, which is related to a
supertype, for an new infotype.
I am new to workflow and business object. I don't have much knowledge in these area. I need to resolve this problem ASAP.
Could someone please provide me a step-by-step guide on how to create a new business object type, which is related to an existing supertype, for an newly created infotype?
If would be very much appreciated if someone could assist me in resolving this issue.

Business objects are maintained in SWO1 creating a subtype is done with the button: Create subtype (F9)
If you don't have knowledge of workflow or abap objects, it is perhaps better to tell your employer that and find someone who has.
If your problem is simply only creating a subtype then go with the instructions I already gave you, if however more things need to be done, like extending the subtype with (virtual)attributes, methods, events, delegating the subtype and implementing the methods in newly created tasks and subsequently workflows I really advise to find someone who can do this, or attend a SAP course on this subject.

In PA30 tcode for Infotype 0167,under dependent tab we have check box for selecting the dependent for a benefit plan.my requirement is when ever we select a check box for a dependent system should check the record of that dependent from infotype 0021 and if the dependent will not fall under perticular age group it should throw an error message.

Create Wage Type in Infotype 0008 for Myanmar

Dear Experts,
I am trying to create wage types in Infotype 0008 for Myanmar, which is not one of the countries where SAP payroll is being delivered. I am not trying to run payroll, but only to create the wage type so that I can maintain the salary information in Infotype 0008. I have done much searches prior to doing this post and found that there are several other posts which are similar to mine. However, as I could not get the answer that I needed, I am posting again here.
I have gathered that for ECC 6.0, it is not possible to copy wage types between country groupings. The advice that I had seen from other posts are:
1. There are many countries where the wage types are not delivered.
2. For country groupings where there are no SAP-defined wage type models, you have to create wage types from scratch in T512W using MOLGA 99 wage types as reference.
3. The wage type groups should then be created for the country grouping in T52D5.
4. Wage types are then assigned to these wage type groups in V_T52D7 of T52D7.
5. You may also need to update the wage types in tables T511B, T512Z, T512J.
My questions are:
a. How should I perform Step 2 as mentioned above? Specifically, how to I maintain table T512W?
What I had done was to go to t-code OH11, select "Copy", select country grouping as "99" and selected wage type M020. Then I typed the customer wage type number as 1000 and also entered the wage type long text (as shown below). M020 was successfully copied to wage type 1000 in country grouping 99. However, how should I continue from here to copy this wage type 1000 to country grouping Myanmar?
b. How can I maintain T52D5 as mentioned in Step 3?
c. I have not been able to try for Steps 4 and 5 since I was not able to start with Steps 2 & 3. I will ask again when I have managed to do Steps 2 & 3.

PO was created with reference to PR for two line items under external services.
then service entry sheet was created for the line 1 item.
line item 2 in PR still shows not edited , when there is already PO raised for that item.
what criteria should be checked,how to make second line item edited in PO.

Hi,
PM01 is the tcode for creating Custom Infotype.
Subtypes:
Subtypes are subdivisions of infotypes. The various subtypes of an infotype can be assigned different time constraints, and a separate data history can be maintained for each.
You can create a custom infotype through the transaction PM01. The number range for custom infotypes starts from 9001 to 9999. SAP has reserved infotypes numbers from 0000 to 9000 for its standard infotypes.
Example
For creating an infotype say Interview details, goto transaction PM01 and type any infotype number from 9001 to 9999
1)Select the Employee Infotype radio button.
2)Select the PS Structure from sub objects box.
3)Click on the edit button below A separate table maintenance window appears.
4)Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype. Whatever fields you will put in this PS structure will come in the infotype as input fields.
5)Now Save and Activate the PS structure.
6)Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
7)Click on Generate Objects push button. Now few message boxes appear click on green check box on them. Finally you reach the Infotype Characteristics screen.
8)Click on New Entries Button. You see the Details of added entries Screen.
9)Enter your Infotype number and short text.
10)Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotypes infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours).
11)Save your entries. Click on the back button to go to the initial screen of PM01.
12)Click on Technical Attributes. Infotype list screen appears.
13)Click on Change (pencil) button. It gives you a warning. Click on the green tick mark.
14)Click on Position button and browse to your infotype. In our case it would be 9005.
15)Select your Infotype and click on Detail (magnifying glass) button.
16)Give T591A as subtype table.
17)Give T591S as subtype txt tab.
18)Give your subtype field as subtype field if you want to keep subtypes in this infotype.
19)Save and come back to PM01 initial screen.
20)Now the Infotype is created and ready to use and is in its basic form.
To see how infotype looks in its basic form, go to PA30, enter a personal number and give infotype number as 9005.

Adding description text to the screen for a custom infotype.

I have created a custom infotype through PM01 with 3 components. The component types have domains with lists of values (value range). How do I display the short description from the value range on the screen in PA20 or PA30?
For example I want to display Continuous Self:
Text                            Value     Description
FML Absence Code     FMCS    Continuous Self
I tried adding an I/O field to the screen referencing DD07V-DDTEXT (where the domain values are stored) but the description will not display in PA20 or PA30. All three fields would have this same reference and that is not allowed either.
Can anyone tell me how to do this?

In PM01 for the custom infotype select Screen..Edit..Flow Logic. Three input/Output fields were added to the screen layout. Since all three fields were in the same table with the same field name, they all have to have unique names in the layout.
Module 9009 was modified to add code to retrieve the text.

I am currently upgrading to Numbers_09.
