PA30 help

Hi. In PA30, if i create a record and I press F4/Help for a specific input line a list of possible entries will appear in a dialog box. Do you know where the dialog box is populated and where the records are retrieved?? I need to change the entries displayed in there? please help. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you must try to find yourself with the transaction ST05.
So :
start a new window with ST05
press TRACE ON
Use your F4 function (in the first window)
press TRACE OFF
press TRACE LIST

PA30 - Personnel Number field greyed out - No input help available.

Hi Experts,
In our System in DEV, & Quality in PA30, we are unable to select employees either by directly giving the number (greyed out) or by selecting through F4 (No input help is available).
But in Production System we can directly give Pernr or select through F4.
Any body tell me what is the reason behind this.

Hi Hariprasath,
It is not the issue with NUMKR, The number Ranges are already maintained, and are defaulted in NUMKR feature.
This is showing same in DEV / QA/ Prod.
Issue is in DEV / QA, The Personnel Number Field is Greyed out, and not able to select any number.
For that we are going to PA20, open the personnel number first, and open PA30 in another window, then we are changing the data of the employee.
But we want to give Personnel Number in PA30 itself as per SAP Standard.
Any Idea, why it is like this.

Selection from Input help different from PA30 IT0014

Hi Guys,
Need advise as i'm trying to get the same result data from input help in IT0014 (wage type). I'm using normal selection from table but the result set are diffrent.
I'm noticed more value appeared than the input help in IT0014 PA30.
I checked on the input help seems no parameter passing.
Attached is the screen for input help .

Finally after few debugging the logic and google searching .
The answer is because in they wage type appeared in the search help already filtered by employee group and subgroup also personnel area.
So each user will have different search result/input help based on their group or pers area.

T-code PA30(SAP HR) search help exit problem.

I have a requirement to restrict/show particluar Wage Types in PA30 t-code on basis a company code of a given the employee (PERNR).
The field PERNR/Company code are not there in the parameters or selection method of the elementary search help H_T5W3A(PA0151-LGART field) .
I have managed to add the field pernr to the parameters of this elementary serach help H_T5W3A and also given it as a importing parameter in the custom search help exit FM.
When i debug the PERNR/Company code don't get populated in the FM parameters.
I need this PERNR/Comp code to be poulated in order for the search help entries to be restricted as this is the requirement.
Please tell me what step i am missing here.
Any other workarounds for this requirement.

Hi,
Adding an importing parameter just provides the user to restrict the search by entering the field value. For this you need not write a search help exit. You only need to join the tables with the fields properly in the search help. However if the Wage types need to be populated as per the company code and if you have included the company code as an importing parametr, then everytime the user clicks on the F4 help for Wage type, he "has" to enter the company code in the pop up that appears for selection criteria, otherwise how would the search help know the value that you have entered for company code.
Without entering the company code in the pop up that would appear to restrict the search, the search help won't work as there won't be any other way to make it aware of the value entered.

Collective search help in PA30

Hi Experts,
I have followed the below steps to add new field in the Collective search help in PA30.
1. Collective srch hlp for Employee is - PREM and the Elementary srch hlp for 'Last name - First name' is PREMN.
2. You can change standard search help without access key. So you have to change PREMN.
3. Selection Method used for PREMN is M_PREMN. Copy M_PREMN to ZM_PREMN.
4. In Database view ZM_PREMN, add field RUFNM(Nick Name) in View Flds Tab.
5. Assign Selection Method ZM_PREMN to PREMN.
6. In secarh help parameter assign SPos filed 3 for newly added RUFNM(Nick Name).
I have copied Selection method M_PREMJ into ZM_PREMJ. From SE11 selected radio button u2018Viewu2019 and entered ZM_PREMJ then selected Change button.
A new window pope up with options u2018Maint in orig. langu2019 and u2018Change orig. languageu2019.
If I select u2018Change orig. languageu2019 then I am getting the following error
View ZM_PREMJ contains inactive components
If I select u2018Maint in orig. langu2019 then it will allowing for modifications. But when I activate I am getting following errors:
Check view ZM_PREMJ (SAPUSER/01.08.11/13:02)
View field ZM_PREMJ-PERNR (domains of the data elements not equal)
Key field PA0002-OBJPS missing
Key field PA0002-SEQNR missing
Key field PA0002-SPRPS missing
Key field PA0002-SUBTY missing
All fields are evaluated as key field
View ZM_PREMJ is not consistent
Please guide me in adding a new field in PA30 Collective Search Help.

Yes, it is activated now with some warning messages.
After this in SE11, I have selected radio button u2018Search Helpu2019 and entered u2018PREMNu2019.
And clicked on u2018Changeu2019 button, then I have two options u2018Maint in orig. lang,u2019 and u2018Main. in logon langu2019.
I have selected u2018Main. in logon lang; (which option to be selected??)
And replaced Selection method u2018M_PREMNu2018with ZM_PREMN, then activated.
It was activated with warning and following are adjusted.
SHLP EHS00SHLP_PREM was adjusted
SHLP HREHS00PERSINTEXT was adjusted
SHLP LO_OIF_PARTNER was adjusted
SHLP PREM was adjusted
SHLP PTRM_PREM_WEB was adjusted
Up to here is fine, but when I tested in PA30 Collective search help, I can able to see new field u2018Nick Name but it is not working.

Modifying F4 help in PA30 Transaction Based on Company Code

Hi Experts,
I have an requirement in PA30 Transaction when infotype 15 is changed / displayed , it takes me to a screen where I need to restrict the F4 HELP for the field Reason for change based on employee company code.
Do I need to modify the standard program or some badi or user exit avaialable.Please advice.

Pa30 to view only a selected infotype and still use search help prem

Is it possible to use PA30 to have non-hr users see a custom infotype but none of the other standard infotypes? I would like for the non-hr users to be able to use the Search Help PREM to find records for the custom infotype.
Is this type of inquiry better served by creating a custom program?

These type of requirements are served at the security level but instead going into so much complexity, it is a better idea to write a custom report for the requirement.

PA30, Maximum rows 50, Search help PREM

Hello,
Do you know maybe what could be a problem with transaction PA30
when I'm using search help for finding persons I will get only 50 rows on
the list and the message DH803 :
'There are more than 50 possible inputs"
when I was analysing program it's hard coded for 50th but maybe there is a way to set (increase) this value in configuration?

even if (T77S0) RECFA:HIHIT is set to 500, the search help results in PA30 are reduced to 50. where can I temporarily extend that value to e.g. 200?

Help with PA30 transaction...

Hi,
I would like to to know how do we store various data for various communication types
in PA30 for a given personnel number.
For example, when I want to store email ID I use subtype as '0010' and save it but now I
also want to save the Syetm user id of the user for type '0001'. But when I save it using
type '0001' then the data with type '0010' gets overwritten and now the PA0001
stores data with user type '0001'.
I want the data to be stored both for Type '0001' and '0010'.

Hi,
If you are sure, you selected the right subtype for storing data, then please select the overview icon from intial PA30 screen after selecting the infotpe 0105.
Else please use the navigation arrow key to scroll between records. As you have subtype 0001 & 0010, you get to see 0001 as the first record . Please select the navigation arrow and you will be able to see the second record for subtype 0010.

Help on disabling person button in PA30

Hello Abap gurus:
I got a requirement to disable(hide or remove) the person button which appears when i navigate in below manner:
In Pa30 enter a person number and select IT 212 COBRA plans overview then select any record and go to change mode which displays a Tab script with four tabs namely(plan cost, costs, Dependents, and additional data) so Under Dependents tab there is person button which i need to disable.
Please help in solving this issue.

Here is the way to find out user exits and screen exits, go to PA30 and get the development class.
Goto SMOD, press F4 in Enhancement field and put develpment class there.
You will get the list of all the exits there.Here see whether the relevent screen exit is present or not. For implementing it generally documentation is provideed in SMOD.
If not then search in OSS notes for the enhancement.

For eg:

Personnel number searcg help, PA30, problems with STAT2

Hello,
our Human Resources deparment wants, that in search help for personnel number in table with selected employees on tab Last name - First name is added new column STAT2. which will display employment status of employee. We tried to do this in program SAPLWDTM with customizing of selection method ZM_PREMN1 and we get new column STAT2 in table but we didn't get any value in fields. STAT2 is already in join table with values.
In customizing are checkbox fields in columns IMP, EXP and M. For STAT2 we put check in checkbox field EXP and M, which should export value into table into column STAT2 and displayed it. But it's not working that way.
Does anybody know, how to customize this?

Sorry,I´ve not seen your response before.I´ve tried it now but it doesn´t works.I think doing this you only can restrict the number of entries for the payroll area,and I don´t want this,I want to select a payroll area and after that (after press "Start search") I want that appear a list with the employees who belong to this payroll area.
If I press F4 on the personnel number,don´t appear a pop up,and then I can´t restrict the number of entries.

Need help for the infotype 15 in PA30 transaction

My requirement is :
In infotype 0015 when ever i change the amount i need old amount and new amount respectively.
I am getting new amount by using below logic.
"-- Get changed record
        CALL METHOD CL_HR_PNNNN_TYPE_CAST=>PRELP_TO_PNNNN
          EXPORTING
            PRELP = INNNN
          IMPORTING
            PNNNN = I0015.
anybody can tell me how to get old amount.

You can do the following way i think.
For Example
date = begda -1 . " Begda of Current Record
now select following way.
Select single * from pa0015
where pernr = pernr
and endda = date.

Not able to save data in pa30 action infotype in production

Hi,
In my organization users are not able to save data in SAP HR pa30 action info type in production.
It is gets hanged and throws run time error after run long time .
in ST22 it will give below error:
Runtime Errors   TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED
Information on where terminated
    Termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRHAS"   in "FILL_STRU_TURBO"
    The main program was "MP000000 ".
    In the source code you have the terminated point in line 759
    of the (Include) program "LRHASF00".

Business Event Appraisal - Not showing in PA30

Hi All,
We are implementing TEM on SAP 5.0 and replaced the old appraisal system with new appraisal system.
I have prepared the Appraisal for Business Event, by selecting Attendee as appraiser and Business Event as Apraisee, the problem I am encountering here is after the preparation the document is not shown in any of the following areas in PA30 for infotype 25.
1) Appraisal where Apraiser
2) Objective setting & Appraisal(Open)
But the Appraisal templates which are created under Personnel Appraisal(in PHAP_CATALOG), is shown but not the Appraisal templates which are created under SAP Learning Solution(in PHAP_CATALOG).
Is there any configuration inorder to get this done?

Can you be precise, I mean which Integration settings your asking me to look into?
One thing I noticed while debugging the code, it is getting Add On Application as 'PA', and passing this parameter to get the Personel Appraisal templates, in case if I modify as 'PD' in the debugging mode, it is fetching the Business Event Appraisal along with Personel Appraisal. Is there any setting for this to have PD passed in to the Add on Application variable.
