PA40 - Termination/Leaving Action - problems delimiting IT0014
Hi all,
For an upgrade from ecc 4.7 tot ECC 6.0 (ehp 4) I am testing some actions.
I've tested the Hire action and this test was successful. No Iu2019m testing the Termination/Leave Action. When I want to save the Organizational Assignment screen I get a message that the delimiting of IT0014 has failed.
Is anyone familiar with this problem? If so, could you tell me what I can do to solve this problem?

Hello Gurus,
At the moment when you run the Action to make an employee a leaver in HR
the Action delimits Infotype 0017 Travel Privileges. This then means
that if the Travel & Expense Department need to go and view
expense claims for that employee the system does not permit it as it
states there is no Infotype 0017 valid.
I have advised the to remove the delimit function from the Action
for Infotype 0017, this will then mean that the Travel & Expense
Department can view historical expense claims for all employees.
Pls help how to remove the delimit function form the action type?
Or is there any other way to avoid the IT0017 from getting delimit

With ref to my above question, my client is having a problem -
They need to remove the travel privilege screen from this leavers action, so that when an employee leaves, they are delimited, but the travel privileges are still active.
They have had a problem with leavers, as once they have been run as a leaver, and they have been delimited, s they have an error when trying to view the history of their claims in PR05.
After investigation of this it seems that this is caused by the travel privileges being delimited.
So we need this to be taken out of the leavers action, so that the other items are still delimited but NOT the travel privileges.
Pls suggest....

Problem after Performing Leaving action related to OM
<b>Scenario:</b>
Hi this is the first time i am working in a an SAP HR environment where all most all components like OM,PA,Payroll,Time,PD etc is implemented in <b>4.6 Version.</b>
I had seen in the production server that after performing the Leaving action of the employee his/her Postion will change to 999999(Default postion) when we view InfoType 0001 0r 0000.
But in case of 1 employee it did not change to 999999 after leaving action was performed.It still shows the Position what he held when he was Active.
<b>Qn 1</b>.In the above case which is right?
<b>Qn.2</b> what should ideally happen in Standard SAP system in such case.
<b>Q3.</b> Can we change that postion to 99999 (default) of an employee whose status in Withdrawn?
<b>Qn.4</b>. Anyoption other than rehiring and terminating him to sove this?(is this option itself is right practise?)

If you are getting the default position then the Integration plogi - preli is set to 99999999. and you should get it for all the termination action. Check with the user if she had run the leaver action as per your infogroup (in case her user profile is not set up)
Ideally thats the way it is set up as we dont need a position for a Terminated employee, and that position can be filled up by someone else.
You can change it to 99999999 if all other positions are default as per your termination action.

I want to get the complete information ,connection between IT0003 and leaving action.

All the basic infotypes, like 0000,0001,0007,0008 and statutory infotypes of the country will be delimited. The best would be to check the standard configuration of SAP, where in SAP would have advised which infotypes to be delimited for leaving action.

Hi Experts,
Plz tell me the important/ mandatory infotypes that needs to be included in a leaving action.
Also, tell me the important/mandatory infotypes that needs to be delimited during the leaving action so that no furthur payroll run can be done by the system.

When you do the leaving action in IT0000, please delimit IT0002, IT0006, IT0014, IT0015, IT2001, IT2002, IT0207, IT0208, IT0209, IT0210, IT2010, IT0105, IT0185, IT0032 etc.
Do not delimit basic pay.

Attendee booking after a leaving action
Hello,
I have a problem when booking an amployee (PV00) after a leaving action.
The employee is active in HR until 28.2.2007 (leaving action for 1.3.2007) and training's days are from 26.2.2007 to 1.3.2007. As the employee is not active for all the training days, a error message occurs "Enter a valid attendee". Does the customizing allow to book an attendee althought he is not active for the complete training's duration (in thise case juste one day...)? The manager wants to "offer" this training's day.
We are not using Time Management.
Does anyone have a solution ?

You will not be able to book him directly, but can be booked on that date as an external person for that particular business event.

Actually thats the only alternative left when an employee is terminated before the expiry of that event.To be more secure you can create a new relationship with your requirement to select in these cases.

Leaving Action Date not refleting properly
Dear Expert,
We have implementing Germany Payroll for our client. We have created the actions like - Deputation Initiation, End of Deputation which is similar to Hiring & Leaving.
While executing End of Deputation action, system is not taking the actual date given in all the info types. For Ex : End of Deputation date is 31.08.2008. But while excecuting the action IT0000 & IT0001 system is taking end date as 31.08.2008. But IT0006, IT0009, IT0014 & the customised info type which we have cretaed are taking the end date as 30.08.2008.
Please note that we need to pay salary for 31.08.2008. Please suggest how can I get froward??

When you are running End Of Deputation action( Leaving action); on initial PA40 screen you enter 31.8.2008 in the From field and then run the action. The system will automatically take the End Of Deputation Action Date as 1.9.2008.
That means the Last working day date of employee is 31.8.2008 and the salary will be paid till 31.8.2008
Check in table T529A; in the Date field entry should be 1( specified filed is end date of old records) -
Leaving Action does not change position to 9999999 in IT0000 screen
Hi All,
I have come across a very peculiar problem which I haven't seen before. When performing a leaving action in my clients QA system, the initial IT0000 screen is displayed with the position field not showing the default position 99999999 which it should do. The existing position of the person is displayed instead. Also, when saving the IT0000 screen no further IT's are shown from the infogroup. Even IT0001 isn't displayed. All infoypes that are meant to appear in the infogroup are exisiting for the employees that I have tested. Has anyone come across this problem before?

Leaving action means leave related action like long term leave or you are talking about termination action.
If it is absence related action, then position does not become 99999999 in IT0000 while performing action. For this you need to set up dynamic action like below. We have set up for Retirement action.
0000 04 80 DETERMINE DEFAULT POSITION FOR ZO-RETIREMENT
0000 04 82 P P0000-MASSN='ZO'
0000 04 84 W PSPAR-PLANS='99999999'
0000 04 86 W P0001-PLANS='99999999'
If it is for Termination action, position becomes 99999999 in It0001 as per SAP standard functionality. If you need to make position as 99999999 then you may set up like above.
Regarding your 2nd question, I had similar problem like you long time back. Why it was happening for me --- There is no sub type in It0001, by mistake sub type 1 had been maintained for that action while creating infogroup. So just check your infogroup once.

Change infotypes end date when delete leaving action for employee

I created new infotype and when employee leaves its end date is changed for leaving date.
When leaving action is deleted ther is some least of infotypes that user can sign so the end date of selected infotypes will be changed to 31.12.9999. How can i add my infotipe to this list?

Maintain IT 0041 where in that table maintain employee start date of hiring and leaving date of employee bze in IT 0000 the dates will change as per action lets say if employee hire that date will be in IT 0000 action and if employee gets promotion date or leaving date that will store in IT 0000 by delimiting other actions
So maintain IT 0041 where you can pull dates from there if you maintain
End date will always be 31.12.9999 so check action start date you will get in sequence

Delimit several infotypes for Leaving Action

I would like to know how to 'Send' or call a backend program to delimit infotypes called during the leaving action of the employee. thus calling several infotypes but sometimes configured in such a way it is dependent on the status of the EE or have PY record.

I have a scenario where in SAP Master data employee's leaving action start date is 01.04.2011 and end date as 31.12.9999 where as in IDOC its start date of leaving action is 20.03.2011 and end date is 31.04.2011
Now user want me to maintain the IDoc record in sap, both start date and end date of the leaving action in that case how can i change bath the dates, as in PA41 if i will go only start date will be active but how can i maintain the end date.
or
as we have 2 actions for a person i.e. hiring and leaving
so the start date shall is change in the Hiring action start date place?? and
and end date shall i change in the start date of the leaving action??

there is a requirement from the client side.
when we pass the actions " Leaving and Retirement ", the system should ask for that particular employee's USER details and it should cancel the user authorization or cancel the USER NAME.(if that employee is a USER).
plz tell me any options r available.

In the leaving action please maintain the infotype 0105 subtype 001 so that when the action is run that particular user id is delimited at that date.
