  • Fail to toggle between Chinese & English as per logged in language in WAD

    Hi WAD Gurus,
WAD does not allow us to modify descriptions accordingly to the logged
    in 'language'.
    Login in EN.
    Create & Save WAD template.
    Log in ZH (simplified Chinese)
    Modify descriptions to Chinese.
Problem #1 When template is executed in EN - The output descriptions
replaced the English text- it becomes the garbled characters, which is
    not what we expect.
We expected to see English descriptions when user logged in EN. And we
expect to see Chinese descriptions when user is logged in ZH.
Problem #2 We tried a work around, where we put <English text desc -
    chinese description> .
To do this, we had to be logged in ZH. However, after saving the
template, we could not modify the template again when logged in as EN,
it gives us the error (screenprint) and then it will not save giving a
    run-time error ‘5’
Please suggest solutions for the problems above.

  • Log in language would be english or german and output format would be in ge

    Hi,
There is requirement in my script that log in language would be english or german and output format would be in german language. How could I do this. Please guide me.
    Regards,
    Ranu

    Hello Ranu,
How do you call the script ?
If you are calling using a z* program, then you can set the language aalso with the OPEN_FORM (LANGUAGE) function module. Always pass this as 'DE'. By default, it will take the log-on language.
If it is standard program and you are assigning the form using some customization, then you may have some option to assign the language aslo.

  • Change log-in language to default language (English)?

My log-in language is Korean but my default language is English. The log-in language used to be English but it suddenly changed back to Korean? Is there a way to change my log-in language to my default language? I tried re-installing Mavericks and even changing the language using the terminal method but it didn't do anything.

    Hi,
    Finally I got it!
In order to have the job log in English, you have to modify also the locale language of Data Services using the SAP Data Services Locale Selector tool.

  • Macbook Air 11" Log-In Language Unchangeable. Please Help!

    Hello All
I recently purchased this MacBook Air 11" from someone, and it had some folders in Asian (yes, I know Asian is not a language per se, but I do not want to say Simplified Chinese, or Japanese, or Korean, or whatever for fear of offending people that speak the language). I went to System Preferences and changed the language in region/language to English. The MacBook when purchased didn't have a password to login.
Later on my nephew recommended I format the system, so it was anew. He started to try formatting it, only realising that the language was still somehow Asian. He knew how to go by the prompts thankfully, and ended up formatting it with one wipe. It was still Asian fonts staring at us by the end of the process though.
He changed some of the settings and ended up getting it to show in English. He added a login/pw combo this time, and whenever we are faced with the login screen (you see below in the pic I took with my mobile) now, it is in Asian. Everything else seems to be in English, just that screen.
This worries me, as when I may need to format the system once more, what if the process pops up in Asian again, and I have no access to my nephew, I would be stranded!
Somehow, we came to the conclusion that this particular MacBook was set to have Asian as the default language. Am I wrong?
Login Screen (by the way, how does one take a screenshot of the login screen on a MacBook Air?)
I went through a few threads and none helped me. I took a screenshot of the Systems Preferences, in case someone tries telling me to go to the Language/Regional settings to change the language, as I do not have access to it through there.

  • Export log format / language

    Greetings,
I am referring to the export log of 9i and 10g.
Can the log be in a different language, other than English? and if so, how to set it to be in that other language?
Also, is there some document specifying the log's format? Where can it be found?
    Thanks for your help,

    Hi Ingvild,
    > EPA is not a normal zip'ed simialr file is it?
It's not "zip'ed similar", it is a ZIP. Just with another postfix than "ZIP".
    > Atleast WinRar does not support the fil format.
It does. Rename ".EPA" to ".ZIP", and WinRAR will be lucky to help you (just tested it again, to be sure).
The same holds for the .ept files within the .epa file.
    > now way to export all the names in english in a lits,
    > xml, exel or somthing so that a translater can
    > translate it? and then imort it again.
For sure in theory you can take the EPA and change it manually, but you have to understand the EPA structure and the logic inside. And that's something which isn't trivial at all. In addition, if you'll have a look at the i18n'ed files, you'll see that the property names are all but clear text.
    > To use the translation worklist which I have created
    > the translater have to do the translation within the
    > portal?
    Yes.
    > And if that is the only way is there any otherway to
    > export in a list, xml, excel file including alle the
    > portal object names?
At least I don't know any. And you won't find any if searching for "translation" on help.sap.com. Both facts together mean that it will be somewhat unlikely that there is a third way...
    Hope it helps nevertheless

  • Bug in IE6 afecting Log on page of EP

    Hi all,
I don't know if this is the best forum to post this, but let's try
I thought you might know something about a bug I've discovered in IE6 with Autocomplete in forms, and appears in the Logon Page of my Enterprise Portal.
The Logon page of the Portal uses forms to ask you to identificate before log in. The problem is that on some computers when using IE6, when you start filling a text input box the autocomplete field will display in the wrong place.
We are receiving some calls about users annoyed by this.
Do you know if there is any possibility to fix this bug?
Thanks you very much in advanced!
    Stella

    Hi that's because the browser...
The logon screen take the language from browser, to get that screen in EN go to Tools menu (Internet Explorer)
-> Internet Options -> Languages... and set English in the top of languages... if only appear German, add EN and move it to the top.
    Afterwards just reload the page.
The contain (once you have logged on) language depend on user setting, for this reason all appear in English after logon.

    Luis

  • Message in another language in SBWP

    Dear experts,
In one of our workflows, when it is triggered, it sends two messages to the inbox (SBWP) of the approver. One of them is a message of decision to approve or reject the workflow. The 2nd message is informative, just saying that a task with an ID number (number of the workflow) has started. Curiously, this message is in croatian, but I´m logged in in Spanish (ES).
I wonder how can I erase this message, or translate it to Spanish, because the programs in SBWP are all standard SAP, no Z programs exist, so in theory everything should be in the log in language. So does anyone know what might be the cause of the problem?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
You need to maintain the language translation while developing the workflow.
    For this purpose..
    Run Tcode SWDD...
    Enter your workflow template number.
Now select Extras form menu bar.
Here you can find the option 'Translation' ,
    Now select Translation >>> Translation
You will get an popup "Source language " to "Target language"
    now maintain translated sentences'.
    Save and activate.
For example if you logon in Spanish Language ( if maintained ) and check the workflow definition. You can observe that for the two step types, the text is available in German.
    Thanks and regards,

  • FBCJ-Opening and Closing balance do not appear in Language Hungary

    *Hello Friends*
*I am getting a typical problem, as when I see the cash balance in FBCJ with language English, both opening and closing balance are proper, but when I login with Language Hungary(HU) both opening and closing balance disappears and is totally blank. Kindly facilitate me to get the solution*
    *Thanks you in advance*
    *Best Regards*
    *Prashant S*

    Dear
    Thanks for the reply
The default log in language is DE (German). I agree with you if the problem is with description, but the problem is with amount in opening and closing balance and description is proper, so what is the relevance with support package to do with amount.
    Please facilitate and reply

  • Dunning Letter Print being submitted with wrong language

We have two German operating units. When we run the Dunning Letter Generate program it will then submit the Dunning Letter Print program. For one of our German OU it submits the letter program correctly using the German language but for the other German OU it's being submitted using American language. How is oracle determining the language to use when it submits the Dunning Letter Print program?
    Log that is incorrect:
    Submitted ARDLP for h_session_language = AMERICAN request_id = 11202825
    CONCURRENT APPL=AR PROG=RAXINV_NON_SRS LANGUAGE="AMERICAN"
    Log that is correct:
    Submitted ARDLP for h_session_language = GERMAN request_id = 11201834
    CONCURRENT APPL=AR PROG=RAXINV_NON_SRS LANGUAGE="GERMAN"

    Hello,
In xml publisher you have template in US. you have also translation in every language in your case German. Log with language US you have "standard", log with DE you have German translation.
You can copy this template delete translation and translate in German on template. Maybe you should look in preferences maybe there is something.
