Package access issues (kinda long)...

Question

Okay, I'm working on a project and I want to throw some stuff into a package, because I have a lot of files cluttering my main folder, and I want to clean it up.
I have a JFrame that uses a JMenuBar that I subclassed in another file called MyMenuBar. Basic set up here:// EditorFrame.java
// in default package
public class EditorFrame extends JFrame
   public EditorFrame()
      // blah blah blah
      setJMenuBar(new MyMenuBar());
// MyMenuBar.java
// in default package
public class MyMenuBar extends JMenuBar
   public MyMenuBar()
      JMenu fileMenu = new JMenu("File");
      // then I add JMenuItems with Actions
      JMenuItem newItem = new JMenuItem(new MyNewFileAction());
      // and about 10 or 11 more menu items, each instantiated with custom actions.
}Okay, each menuItem is instantiated with an Action, which I have in separate files (one for each menuItem):// MyNewFileAction.java

// won't work in that package, will work in default package

   public MyNewFileAction()

      putValue(ACCELERATOR_KEY, "acc key");

}Now, the problem I'm running into, is that some of these actions rely on the instance of the JFrame that called them, and I can get to that in the //do something here part by calling:EditorFrame f = (EditorFrame)e.getSource();But the compiler is complaining that it can't "see" EditorFrame. If I move the action files to the default package, then all works fine, but I don't like having that many files with my main classes, and it would make sense to package them somewhere else. I know I have a visibility issue here, just not sure how to solve it. I know some of my syntax is not 100% correct, but it's the visibility issue I'm trying to solve. Any ideas? Thanks a lot!

do you import the package where the EditorFrame is located in your action file (MyNewFileAction) ???
If its in the "root" (Default), then import it as:
import EditorFrame;
public class MyNewFileAction extends AbstractAction
   public MyNewFileAction()
      putValue(NAME, "name")
      putValue(ACCELERATOR_KEY, "acc key");
   public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e)
      // do something here
