"Package directory /src/core/pkg is missing!" [solved]

I'm installing archlinux on a virtual machine running off of Sun VirtualBox. I'm using the core installation image mounted on a virtual drive (drive G:).
I am in the the ArchLinux Installation Main Menu (Select Source, Set clock, etc.). I got through the first 3 steps, selecting the source, setting the timezone, preparing the hard drive. Now, at step 4, Select Packages, it says I have to go back and redo the Select Source step. Now when I go back to Select Source I get the following message: Package Directory /src/cor/pkg is missing!" and then sends me back to the main menu.
I apologize for noobiness, any help at all is severely appreciated. Thanks.
Edit/Update: I chose to do the net/ftp source and it seems to be working. I'll probably be back if it screws me up again.

Try FTP as source of your packages. That way you'll get the latest ones for sure

All these should be able to run 64-bit.
Edit: I think Inxsible meant you could run 'uname -a'. On my computer it shows

Linux black 2.6.39-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Tue Jun 7 05:49:02 UTC 2011 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
It means i686 version is currently installed (this processor can't run 64-bit anyway).

Changing package directory

During the installation arch asks me to select my package source, and it only gives me the options, CD or NET. I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow change the source to be a USB stick because i could then load it up with everything i needed ahead of time, as the computer I'm installing on has no internet access.

What I would do first is to update your Premiere Elements 12 to 12.1. See the opened project's Help Menu/Updates. If the problem persists after the update to 12.1, then let us look at the Scratch Disk set up and situation.
When you go to Expert workspace, Edit Menu/Preferences/Scratch Disks, where are all the categories directed to on the computer hard drive and how much free space is at the location(s)?
Did you install Premiere Elements 12 to its default location or other. If other, where?
There are a lot of Troubleshooting avenues to go down (some old, some new, some questionable), but let us start with the above and then decide what next.
But before all that, please respond to the questions already asked you by SG.

Xfce4 Groups Not in the Package Directory Search?

This is probably a stupid question, but how are people supposed to know that they can do things like:
# pacman -S xfce4
# pacman -S xfce4-goodies
when neither of those two groups show up in the Package Directory Search? I'm installing Arch for the first time and only found that information from the Wiki. Is there something obvious I'm missing?

Getting an error while launching Video Editor (either New project or Existing project). However i can launch "Organizer" with no issue.

I suspect the issue is more than resetting the preferences, but let us give that a try to rule it out (or in).

and in the 11.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then
you delete the whole 11.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working
with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives enabled so that you can see the complete path cited.
Is the Owner designation in the above path named correctly?
Also, look at disabling the SLCache Folder if you find one as described for 12 in the following

I managed to solve the issue commenting the --indirect-rendering flag and installing and launching driconf to create a default ~/.drirc file.
I just noticed that in the same upgrade I got intel-dri from 8.x to 9.x version, maybe it's related.
Launching a terminal in .xinitrc and manually launching
LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose compiz --debug --replace ccp
show me a lot of errors, but it's working, and I don't need anymore the --indirect-rendering flag (in the past I put that flag in the command because of the bad performance that compiz had without).

I've been an arch user for several months now. Amazingly, I've been able to work my way through all the problems I've had thus far (due, in large part, to the arch community and wikis). This is my first time actually posting for help.
I've been trying to install VMware-Server on my latest install of arch, when I run a 'makepkg' on the vmware-server-modules package I get:
==> ERROR: VMware-server-2.0.2-203138.x86_64.tar.gz was not found in the build directory
and is not a URL.
A link to the missing tarball can be found on the vmware-server-2.0.2 AUR page (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=6182), however, when I click on the link, it 404's. I've done multiple Google, vmware.com, and archlinux.org/forum searches and have found nothing. I'm at a complete loss for what to do at this point. I really can't find anything of use on the subject, am I the only person who's had/having this problem? Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Turns out I'm just retarded. That's the actual vmware-server package from the VMware download site, which I actually downloaded and unpacked in search of the file itself For those who looked at this post, could no one have just gone, "Hey dumbass, it's the actual file from the VMware site."?

VS 2015 CTP VNext - NuGet not installing to packages directory

During a package install with NuGet it will add a reference to the package within project.json, create a reference within ASP.NET 5.0 Reference view but with an alert icon. The alert is due to the package missing from \.kpm\packages. I've had to manually
install the package to the directory, however, this is now causing this error.
"An attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of the .NET Framework. This release of the .NET Framework does
not enable CAS policy by default"
The package manager was working, however, I installed NEST and experienced errors with that and any packages from then. Any ideas how to fix this?
I've tried running VS in administrator mode to get the install working but no luck.

Calligra Plans error, libkdgantt.so.11 missing [SOLVED]

hi... I'm using kde 4.10, with testing repo activated in 64bits, trying to use Plan of calligra suite after 2.6 version upgrade, i have the error:
"Cannot load library /usr/lib/kde4/planpart.so: (libkdgantt.so.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)"
and effectively, this lib is missing, Ionly have that:
"/usr/lib/libkdgantt2.so.0.1.0"
I tried to build calligra again, but lib is still missing , usually libkdgantt is provided by calligra-plan package, but finding in the files in calligra-plan provided in arch repos there's not it. I don't know if I missing something or if is an error package, or other..

The library is indeed not packaged, you should report it to the bug tracker. In the meantime you can change line 65 of the PKGBUILD to
for d in 3rdparty interfaces libs pics servicetypes templates; do
and rebuild (or, if you still have the build dir around, just repackage with makepkg -R)

Urbanterror 4.2 libcurl is (not) missing [SOLVED]

After urbanterror 4.2 update from oficial repos, the map auto download feature does not work anymore.
It reads the error "Libcurl is missing".
I worked fine before the update.
It happened to me before when I used the binaries download from the urbanterror site, never with the distribution packages.
ir there anyway to solve this, at least until the new urbanterror package (or libcurl) is ready?
