Package Firefox 13.0.1 with wise for Deploying with SCCM
I have been trying to create a new package of firefox.exe using wise studio but it is not working. the new package with wise seems to run fine but whe I an going to test it, there are missing dlls, etc. Is there any way to create a firefox package to deploy it later on eith sccm?

I have tried the new Flash on my MacBook Pro using Firefox 13.0.1 at the same USA Today Crossword site, puzzle 6/25/2012 and I do ''' not''' have this problem.
The variations I see are
* I used the same DMG to put Adobe Flash on both machines and they are both at 11.3.300.257, 11.3 r300
* I used the same DMG to put Firefox 13.0.1 on both machines
* The MacBook Pro is 15" (late 2011) OS X 10.7.4 build 11E53
* The MacBook Air is 13" (June 2012) OS X 10.7.4 build 11E2705
* Both are the latest available OS X levels for their respective platforms.
* Both platforms have been built from erased discs and Apple recovery discs within the last few weeks. (The Air was rebuilt yesterday, 6/24).
* The OS X 10.7.4 software is at different build levels and additional software has been installed to support the Air.
* I have Shockwave Director 11.6.3r633 installed on the MacBook Pro
My findings:
* On the MacBook Pro, Firefox at the specified Flash site work as advertised
* On the MacBook Air, Firefox at the same flash site stops respondings and must be force quit.
Open questions:
* Must I have Shockwave Director also installed?
* Does the OS X software build level have an effect of some sort?
* Does the model series of the MacBooks - late 2011 and June 2012 - affect the problem. The Air has only been available in the within the last few weeks and I ordered it the day it became available.
Does the pointing circle become "shift one left" or "shift one right"?

The menu item name changes to the browser UA you are presently using.

You can just start trying IE versions (or the versions it says on the site) until it lets you in. -
Recently our Office Depot Tech switched us from an older version of Firefox to the current version. For the last two years, we were able to search for sites on Yahoo and icons would appear. The icons would suggest that a site is unsafe to click onto because a red triangle with an exclamation point would appear. These icons no longer appear since the Tech switched us to the current version of Firefox. I want to be sure I am clicking onto safe sites. I believe the icon used to be a green padlock if the site was safe to enter.

I have a MacBook Pro 5,4 running OSX 10.6.8 and Safari 5.1.10. A website i like has a known bug with 5.1.10 and recommends I install a newer version of Safari or use Firefox or Chrome. Just looking for advice on the best approach. Thanks!
Unfortunately, Safari cannot be updated past 5.1.10 on a Mac running v10.6.8.
So, the options are to upgrade to a newer OS X or use Firefox or Chrome.

Director plugin works fine in Firefox 3.6.13 but not in Firefox 4b8. <br />
Loading a Shockwave for Director page is initially blocked in both Firefox versions by NoScript;
*clicking on the space for the game/whatever loads in Firefox 3.6.13
*clicking on the space for the game/whatever in Firefox 4b8, the entire space for the game/whatever disappears and never re-appears

I added the item (boolean) ''dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.np32dsw.dll'' in about:config and set it to false. There was no change. I changed the value of that item to true and the box/area where the SWF item was to be located on the page did not disappear as before -- that was an improvement! -- but the SWF item would not load.
I then discovered that I needed to allow a site (temporarily) in NoScript and everything worked.
Some interesting differences and findings in Firefox 3.6.13 and 4b8 regarding this situation; all based on the same web site behavior with the 2 versions of Firefox:

I have cleared the cache and cookies multiple times, updated flash player, did a virus and malware scan, allowed java script, allowed mozilla in the Windows firewall, contacted Zynga multiple times, and yet Farmville still will not load using Firefox, my main and preferred browser. I'm very frustrated and want this fixed.
Thanks for the advice cor-el, but if you would read the info I posted, I already did that, SEVERAL TIMES. That's not the solution unfortunately.

I want to install Google Toolbar for Firefox, but this is availaible only for Firefox 4. Can I replace My Firefox 6 with this older one Firefox 4, please?Which Windows version are you running?
Try to run the Firefox installer as Administrator (right-click: Run as Administrator) and maybe the Firefox program also just one time. -
I have several shortcuts to websites on my homescreen. When I initially add the shortcuts to the homescreen they show up with the website' icon, I guess that fav.ico is used.
After the update of Firefox, all icons are replaced with the firefox icon.Self-hosted add-ons have to be fixed for every new version of Firefox. Two to 6 months for updating an add-on is ridiculous for a program which has a new version release every '''6 weeks'''. If that extension was hosted at the official Add-ons website, Mozilla would take take care of "bumping" that extension, as long as it keeps working, for every new version of Firefox, as the new version is released.

Firefox loads only blank new tabs for all web pages, with blank url bar.
After a minor automatic update (16.0.1 --> 16.0.2), firefox is now completely unusable.
Any time I attempt to load a page, it only shows a blank tab labeled 'new tab'.
The url bar for this page will be blank if I try to open it from a link or bookmakrk.
The url bar for this page will be exactly what I typed if I manually typed a url.
Right-clicking the blank pages does nothing: no context menu.
The 'troubleshooting information' page DID load properly though; it's the only page I've been able to display at all so far.
Restarting firefox did not fix the issue.
Restarting firefox in safe mode with addons disabled did NOT fix the issue -- so please don't waste time trying to tell me it's the addons.
Changing network proxy settings did not fix the issue.
There are no connection problems: IE can load pages just fine from the same computer.
I love mah firefox... but now it's dead... please help!Update: Solved:
Firefox works properly after restarting entire computer.
It's poor form to require computer restarts for minor browser updates... and even poorer to not say so when you do.
(Some of us are running servers in the background that should not be interrupted.) -

When reinstalling Firefox from a download, Firefox must be down once the installation starts. When the installation finishes, don't let the install start firefox for you. Instead end the install and start Firefox in your normal manner, thus preventing creating a new profile which does not have your bookmarks cookies, etc (but your old profile would still be around and would).
Research your extensions, some may have updates, some may be found in the developer comments on the add-on, or on the "View all versions" link which is part of the Release notes at the bottom of the add-on page.

Most people have no problems with installing firefox as an upgrade, but there are quite a few things that can cause problems. Please have a look at the articles

Post back after you read them and say what you tried. Have you ensured you used an admin account, possibly needing to check the UAC setting, and that security software is not blocking the changes. You should certainly try starting in firefox's [[safe mode]] either from a menu/icon option or by holding the shift key as you attempt to run firefox.
Is the browser icon you see on the desktop, and a firefox icon ? -
Facebook (FB) recently restructured their website. After logging on to my FB homepage, some of the graphics are garbled and I am no longer able to post status updates, comment on friend's status updates or pictures, or post pictures using Firefox version 2.0.0.20. I would like to know if there is a newer version of Firefox that will function with a Mac G3 Blue and White desktop running OS 10.3.9 which will be compatible with the new FB? I would upgrade my computer, but have 22+ years of business and tax records that will not function with the newer Mac OS.
