Package folder not fully removed from DP

Wanna ask, i have removed the package from my DP by selecting removed button from the package properties. But when i did a manual search on my DP, i found out that that the package folder is still present in the DP as shown below. But from the console, the
content status already shows 0 targetted.
Question is, how do i make sure that these folder are fully being deleted from my DP HD when i select removed button from the package properties? Do i need to manually delete these folders then? Or is my step in removing the package from DP is wrong? Need
you guys advice.

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I’m trying to clean them up. Did you solve this problem, if so what was the solution?

If you are using a PC, log on to iCloud using Safari (rather than Explorer) to reset the photostream. Then turn iPhone/iPad photostream off and back on. I was getting the same server error as you and this advice from another blog worked for my iPhone and iPad. But I still can't get photostream deleted from my apple tv. There does not seem to be a photostream on/off control In Apple tv 4.4 software. I tried switching the screen saver to one of the ones that comes preloaded on the device, then back to photostream but all the old photos are still there. If anyone can help with this, I would appreciate it.

Folder labeled "Images Removed from Aperture Vault #1"

Hi all,
I was just looking at everything that's on the External Hard Drive on which I have my Aperture Vault. There's another folder on that EHD labeled "Images Removed from Aperture Vault #1." Noodling through that folder, it seems to be every master that I've deleted, broken down my year, month, and even day.
Is this normal behavior? Can I delete all those sub-folders, etc.? Should I keep the folder itself? Did I somehow set this up initally?

Yes it is a normal but unreported feature. When you run the vault command the vault created is a snapshot of the current state of the library. If there is a previous vault for this library then images that are in the vault but no longer in the library are moved to the folder you referred to.
If you are certain you do not want any of those images anymore you an delete them.

[Q] Podcasts not automatically removed from my iPod

If I go to Devices->Eric Gorr's iPod->Podcasts, I have the Sync checkbox checked and 'all unplayed' selected in the menu.
If I view the podcasts on my ipod, I can see in the 'Play Count' column that there are many podcasts with a play count of >= 1.
If I sync my iPod, those podcasts with a play count of >= 1 are not removed from my iPod.
I believe this is possible, but it does not seem to be working.
What am I doing wrong?

The most likely culprit is a playlist that's getting synced to your iPod.
The big change in this area in 7.7 is that all podcasts, even ones in playlists, appear in the iPod's Podcasts section. Before 7.7 the only episodes that appeared in the Podcasts section were ones that you synced in the Podcasts tab.
The interesting thing is that this change affects only what shows up in the iPod's Podcasts section, it doesn't affect the files that are actually transferred to the iPod.
To check this, find one of the episodes with the play count >= 1 in your iTunes library. Right click (or control click) the episode, and in the contextual menu go to Show In Playlist. See what playlists appear in that list. (Show In Playlist is right under Add To Playlist. If I'm wrong, Show In Playlist won't be there at all.)

Role not fully removed

Hi,
We have a role that was assigned to a user temporarily so that he can perform certain functions. When it was removed, we noticed that the user can still access those transactions that were previously granted even after several relogins over a period of 1 hour.
In other words, he can still access those transactions after relogging in an hour later !
The ID was removed from the role via PFCG, and user comparison done. From PFCG, that ID is not there anymore. From SU01, the role/profile is also not there.
We can use PFUD to clear it but would like to know what could have caused this.
Has anyone ever encountered this before? How was it resolved (besides using PFUD)?

did you set auth/new_buffering to 4 already (standard in actual release)?
PFUD/usercomparison works without problems normally. Pls check userbuffer content after removal or the role assignement and user comparison.
The expirience shows, that such cases may be caused by problems with buffer synchronization between different aplication servers. So first make sure, that the entries are removed on the database itself (usrbf2), then check the content on your other servers (if you have such...).
The FM susr_user_buffer_after_change should resolve the issue immediately (option 'profile' should be 4 when executing. There have been some corrections regarding buffering of user tables, pls make sure, that you have all of them implemented already.

Some images will not be removed from LR catalog

I was cleaning up the catalog by removing files that were flagged "reject" and not on the HDDs any longer.
In LR Grid view, show "all images"
Filter by "rejected only"
Select all, Cmd+backspace > Remove
Lightroom deselects all, then goes on to "remove" and stalls after the progress bar got at about 10%.
Force quit LR, second try identical.
Updated LR from 2.3 to 2.4
Same problem
Tried the same on a recent backup catalog. Same result.
Finally managed to get rid of most of the rejected & deleted images by using "Sync folder", and it appears I might have found the problem (but not yet the solution):
LR somehow "remembers" 190 images from an old shoot: These images were also in LR in a different folder. Removing that folder from LR didn't give an error, but didn't solve the issue.
Here's a screenshot. Images on the right are actually on the HDD. Images on the left (represented by "empty" thumbnails) are *not* in the LR catalog. LR also knows this, as it will not show the folder of the "ghost images" in the library.
The "empty" thumbnails and corresponding thumbs in the bottom are gray until you mouse over them or scroll...
My images are either on external HDDs or on a secondary internal HDD. LR catalog on secondary internal HDD.
Mounting / unmounting of the externals makes no difference.
Plenty memory and free disk space.
For the rest LR is working fine. Not lightning fast, but hey, it's a G5 .
No error messages. Catalog back ups & optimizes without error message.
Tried creating a new catalog, and import this one:
The old catalog isn't *that* huge (about 11k images), and about 330Mb.
LR is about 30% into "Checking Photo Locations", and it appears to be stalling... Processor usage of about 3% No disk activity that I can see. Cancel just cancels, without any dialog.
Tried a few times & it just doesn't seem to work.
Exporting the latest images to a catalog also does nothing (no dialog, no action).
Started a new catalog, imported the latest batch of images again, and hope for the best.
Still, a solution would be nice. I do *not* fancy importing 11000 images again.
In the new catalog, export as catalog works, so there's definitely something wonky in the old catalog...

Mounting of externals where you are giving the command to delete images will certainly make a difference. Don't know if that's part of your problem or not, but in general, LR doesn't always do well with the X followed by Cmd-Delete (Mac)- sometimes it will say there aren't any, and I'll just repeat and there they are. I have tended to delete after a session, so never deleted more than say 50 images at once.
I'd continue deleting all you have so marked, then go through and hook up images with the ? mark, followed by deleting the Previews folder if the first two steps don't help. This latter is radical, but sometimes the Previews folder gets frazzled. What size .lrcat and what size Previews folder?

HDDVD TS folder how to remove from build location?

I've switched everything I can find in prefs ect to SD video, and did manage to burn one good SD DVD. However, since then, even using same saved file nothing but trouble. When I try to burn I get the ms:
THE BUILD LOCATION FOLDER CONTAINS A HDDVD_TS FOLDER THAT MUST BE REMOVED. How to do this as it does not seem to exist anywhere on computer after doing every kind of search imaginable?

Did you try and change your save location? Sometimes it's something as simple as that.

Roles not being removed from CC5.2

After we run a full sync for users and roles we are still finding roles in CC 5.2 that have been removed/deleted from the SAP backend systems.

Try with a new job and for being on the safer side select all of the choices for full Sync - i.e profile, role and users. Also, select the relevant options for your system for the Batch Risk Analysis and the Management Reports too.
Sometimes it is a common problem that Management reports show data for a role to be in Risk, which does not even exist because we did not check this option of Management reports while running the BG job.
This might take a bit of longer time but will be accurate.

Adobe pdf does not fully download from mail. Is there an adobe application that will do the job fully? The pdf is a download from an email attachment.

A friend sent a pdf to me attached to an email. I looked at it with my pc; the mac only shows a portion of the file. It is an adobe file. Is this common? Is there a fix? Is preview not capable of fully opening an adobe file? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Files not being removed from hard drive

I've deleted photos from the lightroom (5) catalog but the files havent been deleted from the folder on the hard drive (external). What have i done wrong?

The folders containing these photos do not have WRITE permission, or are marked as read-only

Old podcasts not being removed from 2nd gen nano since iTunes 7.2

I have been very annoyed lately that, since the iTunes 7.2 update, my nano keeps all old podcasts. I much prefer to not have the ones I have finished listening to continuing to update to my ipod. I do not want to delete all old podcasts from iTunes and am getting tired of having to manually delete the ones I have heard. Sometimes I have heard only half of one, and I don't like having to keep track of which is which. I have "synch all unplayed" selected under "ipod" on the syncing page in itunes. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions? I already tried reseting (the thing does this on its own all the time anyway), and I reinstalled the software as well.

Hello FrayedSo, Sorry to read your having a difficult time with your shuffle and podcasts.
As you mentioned earlier this is your second shuffle and it is able to play songs you purchase or put onto it but it skips past the Podcasts.
Are you playing these podcasts as part of a Playlist? or is this happening in shuffle mode?
Some of the things you could do to possibly assist with troubleshooting your issue are below.
Make sure to Consolidate your iTunes Library so all your information is backed up to your iTunes Music folder. You can do this by going to Advanced-Consolidate Library.

"Playing Audiobooks and podcasts on iPod shuffle
When iPod shuffle is set to shuffle songs it will play all the audio files on iPod shuffle that are not audiobooks. Podcasts of type .m4b or AAC will not play on iPod shuffle when it is in shuffle mode, which is the intended behavior, although a podcast of type .mp3 or .wav may play while in shuffle mode. To play an audiobook or podcast that is on iPod shuffle, set the switch on iPod shuffle to play in order."

Another thing you could try. Create a new user account on your Windows System and download some podcasts and sync it to your shuffle and see if the same issue occurs.

My purchase did not fully download from iTunes - now what?

I purchased season two of game of thrones from iTunes. I only received one episode. How do I get the other episodes to download?
