Package not found error in JDK 1.4

I have been using JDk 1.2.2 quite well for more than 6 months for a client side GUI application. All my classes are in packages (com.aaa.gui.main, etc). However, on installing JDK 1.4 and trying to compile all the classes, i ran into an error. The javac compiler exited with this error "package com.aaa.gui.iges3d does not exist, import com.aaa.gui.iges3d.*).
As mentioned earlier, the com.aaa.gui.iges3d is a package, so are the others. My classpath is "E:\es2.0". I would be thankful for any solution coming my way.
Thanks
Raghav

I tried all options for classpath but was not successful. I then tried to compile all Java files by giving the command as "javac -classpath E:\es2.0; com\aaa\modeldb\*.java com\aaa\gui\iges3d\*.java etc" and it compiled all the classes.
I dont know what is the error, but it is not compiling unless all the java source files are tried to compile.

  • Package not found error...please help!!!!

    I am trying build an application using Apache Http server and tomcat. I have created a package called 'employee' under web-inf/classes. I have also put my servlet under web-inf/classes. In my servlet if I use the statement 'import emplyee.*' it gives me a compilation error - 'package employee not found. I was trying to compile the servlet from the DOS prompt web-inf/classes>. I have set my classpath to include lib/j2ee.jar and web-ibf/classes. What am I doing wrong?

    Try setting classpath as web-ibf/classes/employee.jar. Create a jar consisting of the employee package's
    classes.
    Hope this helps.

    How do I install this package in the database ?
    My OS : Windows 2000 Pro.

    Database :
    Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production
    With the Partitioning option - JServer Release 8.1.6.0.0 Production.
    The webagent and Clipboard installation seems to be fine.
    Do we need OAS on the server side to run the example that uses interMedia to load and play MP3 from Oracle8i ?
    Thanks,

    You can find the ordwebutl.sql script in your <ORACLE_HOME>od\web\admin.
    You can use the Web server of your choice, and it can reside on any machines. When you set up the Web Agent, just provide the appropriate information about the database you are connecting.

  • Pgrep Package Not Found Error

    Whenever someone logs onto this workstation, I get the following error:
    -bash: pgrep: command not found
    I did a search on these forums, Google, & Pacman. I couldn't find anything or packages for pgrep.

    $ pacman -Qo pgrep
    /usr/bin/pgrep is owned by procps 3.2.8-4
    It is in the base group so you are expected to have it installed.

    When i run the same code in jdk1.6, i can get the output. i even added "bouncycastle" package.So you have the correct jar file but Netbeans cannot read your mind. You have to tell it where that jar file is. Therefore you have a Netbeans problem and not a Java one. Try asking in a Netbeans forum how to add third party libs into your project.

    .javaYou've quoted the classpath the wrong way. Only quote the separate paths, not all paths together, it would be seen as a single path otherwise.

  • Jar not running is sarge and apache-ant  shows error of package not found

    Hello,
    First of all I am not a java programmer. I work in C/C++/C#.
    Currently I am dealing a game written in java (1.5) using netbeans 5.5.0 under windows xp. My target is to compile in my development machine and run in the clients machine. everything works fine in windows xp. I open the netbeans ide, load the necessary class libraries, build the project and run it. it runs without any problem.
    The problem begins when I run the same project from linux (fedora). it doest not run. It shows some error.
    <error platform="fedora 7">

    Some of these error were resolved when I set the DISPLAY variable (export DISPLAY="127.0.0.1:0") but the other errors were still there.
    But when I open this same project in netbeans and resolve the dependencies with class libraries it works ok after compiling.
    I can run it from console (java -jar ...)
    And again the same source tree shows the following error when I am in windows !!! (by java -jar ... command)

    I see that netbeans uses ant to compile project in the background.
    then I tried using ant to compile.
    doing only `#ant compile` where build.xml resides does the compilation.
    after that I try to run it (by java -jar ...). again the above error shows up.
    What would I do?
    If I compile it with netbeans in machine A then it runs well in A but not in machine B.
    If I compile it with ANT in machine A then it doesn't run in A, no chance for machine B.
    the contents of my build xml is here

    There exist several targets which are by default empty and which can be
    used for execution of your tasks. These targets are usually executed
    before and after some main targets. They are:
    -pre-init: called before initialization of project properties
    -post-init: called after initialization of project properties
    -pre-compile: called before javac compilation
    -post-compile: called after javac compilation
    -pre-compile-single: called before javac compilation of single file
    -post-compile-single: called after javac compilation of single file
    -pre-compile-test: called before javac compilation of JUnit tests
    -post-compile-test: called after javac compilation of JUnit tests
    -pre-compile-test-single: called before javac compilation of single JUnit test
    -post-compile-test-single: called after javac compilation of single JUunit test
    -pre-jar: called before JAR building
    -post-jar: called after JAR building
    -post-clean: called after cleaning build products
    (Targets beginning with '-' are not intended to be called on their own.)
    Example of inserting an obfuscator after compilation could look like this:
    <target name="-post-compile">
    <obfuscate>
    <fileset dir="${build.classes.dir}"/>
    </obfuscate>
    </target>
    For list of available properties check the imported
    nbproject/build-impl.xml file.
    Another way to customize the build is by overriding existing main targets.
    The targets of interest are:
    -init-macrodef-javac: defines macro for javac compilation
    -init-macrodef-junit: defines macro for junit execution
    -init-macrodef-debug: defines macro for class debugging
    -init-macrodef-java: defines macro for class execution
    -do-jar-with-manifest: JAR building (if you are using a manifest)
    -do-jar-without-manifest: JAR building (if you are not using a manifest)
    run: execution of project
    -javadoc-build: Javadoc generation
    test-report: JUnit report generation
    An example of overriding the target for project execution could look like this:
    <target name="run" depends="NetBeansApplication-impl.jar">
    <exec dir="bin" executable="launcher.exe">
    <arg file="${dist.jar}"/>
    </exec>
    </target>
    Notice that the overridden target depends on the jar target and not only on
    the compile target as the regular run target does. Again, for a list of available
    properties which you can use, check the target you are overriding in the
    nbproject/build-impl.xml file.
    -->
    <target name="-post-jar">
    <jar update="true" destfile="${dist.jar}">
    <zipfileset src="${libs.swing-layout.classpath}"/>
    <zipfileset src="${libs.addMoney.classpath}"/>
    <zipfileset src="${libs.NormalWindow.classpath}"/>
    </jar>

    Hello,
    I am trying to run my annotation processor using ant.
    I already built the processor, the javax.annotation.processor.Processor file is in the correct place with the correct content.
    The jar with the processor is in the classpath (i can see it in ant -v), but it does not process my classes. in fact, i get the warning:
    warning: Annotation processing without compilation requested but no processors were found.Do i have to specify -processor or -processorpath or can i just leave it to the default classpath scanning?When -processor is not given, a service loader is used to find the annotation processors (if any). In addition to the class files of the process, to allow your processor to be found as a service, make sure you've also provided the needed META-INF data in the jar file. The general service file format is described in
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/ServiceLoader.html
    That said, I'd recommend setting an explicit processor path separate from your general classpath.

  • Package javax.servlet not found error

    package javax.servlet not found error. how it can be solved.
    plz help this is my first servlet program.
    vipin

    You need a jar file that has in it the javax.servlet.* classes
    It should be distributed with your servlet/jsp server.
    It can normally be found in a /lib directory under the installation.
    Some examples:
    Tomcat4: install_dir\common\lib\servlet.jar
    Tomcat5: install_dir\common\lib\servlet-api.jar; install_dir\common\lib\jsp-api.jar
    J2sdkee: install_dir/lib/j2ee.jar
    You need to include this jar file in your classpath when you compile any servlet.

    Either by clicking on the email from FedEx and launching Firefox or by opening the FedEx website and entering the tracking number, I get "Framework not found" error and the search stops. It worked with previous Firefox versions but not with the new 4.0.1 version. Any suggestions?

    I tried it with firefox and chrome and have the problem in both browsers, so it is not browser specific.

  • Strange "class not found" errors

    here's the problem:
    i noticed that when you "run" an html page with a java applet in it, jdeveloper (ver 9.0.3) doesn't really process the page but instead it runs your applet in an applet window. the applets i made don't have a problem running this way, but when i force jdeveloper to run them in a browser window (ie, by loading the webpage housing the applet as a frame in another page), i get "class <mypackagename.myclassname> not found" errors and the applet doesnt run. this only started after i installed then uninstalled the latest jdk from sun (since it caused problems with jdeveloper) and reverted to the jdk that came with jdev. i already tried adding to the classpath project settings the paths of both the package and the class itself but still it doesn't work.
    even stranger still, another applet that i installed before (a 3rd party applet: mgmapguide viewer) works fine regardless wether its run in the page itself or in an appletviewer.
    i'm obviously missing something here, can someone point out what? any help would be appreciated.
    thanks in advance

    JDeveloper does this intentionally..

  • Private Key Not Found Error in Ldaps

    Hi,

    Or even better, check the note <a href="https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=924320&_NLANG=E">924320</a>.
    <b>Symptom</b>:
    When you execute a query with virtual characteristics or key figures, the system issues the following error message:
    Object FIELD I_S_DATA-<key figure> not found
    <b>Other terms</b>
    RSR00002, RSR_OLAP_BADI
    <b>Reason and Prerequisites</b>
    This problem is caused by a program error.
    <b>Solution</b>
    If the virtual characteristics or key figures are implemented using the enhancement RSR00002 (CMOD), implement the corrections.
    If the virtual characteristics or key figures were created directly as implementations of the RSR_OLAP_BADI BAdI, compare the source code of the INITIALIZE method with the corresponding source code example. During the call of GET_FIELD_POSITIION_D, <L_S_SK>-VALUE_RETURNNM must be transferred instead of <L_S_SFK>-KYFNM.
    Import Support Package 08 for SAP NetWeaver 2004s BI (BI Patch 08 or SAPKW70008) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 0872280"SAPBINews BI 7.0 Support Package 08", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
    In urgent cases, you can use the correction instructions.
    To provide advance information, the note mentioned above may be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, the short text of the note still contains the words "Preliminary version".
