in SAP B1 8.8, there is a new functionality when creating a new database " New from package" with extension .pak. anyone knows from where i can get this package?

It is tool with the help of we can make package file for existing SAP company.
If you got solution then ok.
I just want to share that
first installed exe setup file which is in SAP Business One software folder.
Then go to Start >All Programes>SAP Busines One >Solution packager
select Solution Packager and make new package for othere same client.
After that you can select package from Solution Packager wizard and with the help we will make new fresh data

Hard time trying to 'Package Solution' - Access 2010 on Win 8.1 pro 64

I got myself a brand new system (win 8.1 pro 64) a while ago, and with it,
got a few problems as well. - If it makes any difference, I had an accdr and changed file extension to accdb, this is
the FE I'm trying to 'Package' now -
It happens that after installing Office Professional Plus 2010(not sure if
x86 or x64 - does it matter?), checking all the conditionals for MSAccess,
even repairing installation a bunch of times, no matter what,
whenever I try to 'Package Solution', there's always a boring message
at the end stating that, 'An unexpected error has occurred', period.
That's it!
I tried to move my files to documents folder, assuming that might be
caused by lack of permission, still nothing happens, other than the same
'An unexpected error has occurred', no additional info available.
Googling this, I could find one or another info, but people usually report
in common with my issue, just the error message, the whole context seems
to be pretty different. Anyway, never been thru such a thing, don't know
if I should install any hotfix, I reinstalled office a couple of times already,
nope! It's not working!
And I got this app release that's been waiting almost 1 week now to reach my customer,
in other words, big trouble!
So, I really could use some help, and I appreciate anybody who would kindly
lend me a hand on the matter of this subject.

This is much I suggested using an accDE. You use the accDB to develop and create the application. When you compile to an accDE, then users cannot see or view VBA code, nor can they change reports or forms if they get “inside” the application.
So you most certainly will continue to use and develop using the accDB, but the “last” step before deployment is to first ensure you VBA code compiles (in the VBA editor, go debug-> compile). Once your sure code compiles, then you create the accDE that
you will include in your package to distribution to users. Do keep in mind that this suggest thus suggests your data is “split” or outside of the application you package else updates to users would overwrite their data.
So using an accDE means users cannot modify forms/reports, and also means that users cannot view code. This also eliminates the need for some kind of password system to prevent modifications to the application. so you can rename the accDE to a accDR, but
even if users re-name it back to a accDB or accDE, modifying to forms/reports and VBA code is NOT possible. This also means you do NOT want to lose your accDB that you are using for development.

New kernel package 2.6.7 breaks samba package -- solution

The new 2.6.7 kernel package from current breaks samba when it tries to load openldap.
The following will fix it :
cd /usr/lib
ln -s libldap-2.2.so.7.0.6 libldap.so.2
The symptom you'll see is that the samba service fails to start, and you'll see a shared library load error on boot.

If you did, you either need to remove the link or use pacman -f to overwrite the link you made.

WSP Package and Solution Explanation

Hello,
I am a bit confused with terms package, solution, solution package. Could you please give me an example for that?
My idea is solution = solution package which puts together items from a package???
However what is the reason for creating multiple packages?

In visual studio solution you can have multiple projects and from each project you can create a separate WSP package. Now if you want to keep all the components into one WSP package across projects you can do that by adding all components from solution to
a package within the project. Idea of having different WSPs for single solution is to have more control while making changes in future. For example creating separate WSP file for branding and different ones other artifacts. So if you want to make update to
your masterpages in future you can just deploy the branding WSP rather than all components. Its always depends on the complexity of your solution, it varies on how many components you are developing.

Using packaged functions in Apex

Hi,
I'm fairly new to apex and I am about to write an app which needs to access a SQL server database. My local dba has set up the transparent gateway and I can select from and update the SQLServer database no problem via a db link. What I need to decide is whether to code the sql for reports etc directly into the apex page or to call a pl/sql function returning a select statement. I would like to have all the code in packages as a lot of it will be used by multiple apps in future but is there any extra overhead in doing this:

rather than coding the SQL directly in the page? Also is there a more efficient way of using packaged functions to select data rather that just have it returning sql statements.

Hi
I only use function returning select when I have a strong reason to do so, because it is so much more difficult to test and maintain. Not sure about performance, but I think it is not that much worse.
If you simply want to reuse SELECT statements, you could use views instead.
Anyway, if you decide to use the package solution, at least you can make it much simpler -- just code like this in the page:
return package.function;

NI VideoMASTER (formerly microLEX VideoMASTER) is test solution that handles the acquisition, generation, and analysis for both analog and digital video devices. This post is to answer questions in regards to how the product is licensed/activated, how you receive your license, and who to contact if you have any questions or problems with your VideoMASTER license.
1. How is it NI VideoMASTER licensed?
VideoMASTER is a packaged solution of hardware and software together to perform automated tests for various video devices. VideoMASTER is licensed to the hardware in the packaged solution, for example VideoMASTER for Analog Video Analysis combines an NI 5122 100 MS/s, 14 bit high-speed digitizer or NI 5124 200 MS/s, 12 bit high-speed digitizer together with NI VideoMASTER - Analog and Digital Analyzer software and appropriate license. In this case, VideoMASTER is licensed for use with the particular NI 5122 or NI 5124 hardware module shipped with your purchase. The license is tied to the serial number of the NI 5122 or 5124 shipped with the VideoMASTER purchase. This is different than other software from National Instruments that typically uses the Computer ID provided through the NI license manager.
2. How or When do I receive my license for VideoMASTER?
After purchasing your VideoMASTER solution, which is a packaged solution of hardware (such as an NI 5122 or 5124) and VideoMASTER software, we will email your license file to you using the email address you provided during the purchasing process. We will email you the license when your VideoMASTER solution ships from National Instruments. The email will include the necessary license file needed to run the VideoMASTER software with the NI hardware shipped to fulfill your purchase. The license file should be placed in the ... \microLEX Systems\License Files directory, which is located at C:\Program Files\microLEX Systems\License Files by default.
3. Who do I contact if I have not received my license file or have questions regarding my license file?

Business Edition 6K Solution request

I have a doubt related to a solution that I want to deploy
Here is the scenario.
My company wants to offer services...communications services, and we are thinking a lot about the price of the equipments.
So, in order to avoid the clients to buy the entire solution, we are thinking about deploy a SINGLE solution on my office, and, as we have fiber connectivity to the customers, we would ONLY deploy at their end endpoints and PoE Switches (if needed).
So we are thinking about a single appliance and it is: Business Edition 6000 that is a single UCS where all communications are integrated.
Is this solution affordable for this issue??
How we can we sepate the traffic from distinct customers?
As BE6K comes with 1000 user licenses, is it possible to do somthing like this:
From 1-100 my office
From 101-500 customer A
From 501-900 customer B
From 901-1000 customer C
And, as configure partitions and CSS's in order to avoid that they (the customers) call each other and at the end, send to them only the Billing for EXTERNAL CALLS only.
Any help on this?

Solution manager is used for recording issue logs if any user face issue in production client. This will enable to maintain record of each & every issue log in proper manner.
As regards login into SAP, we require to install SAP GUI & also fill client's system details like Description, System number, Id, Server number, Router (for remote login) in new item in SAP logon pad.
As regards SAP FICO Consultant, the main role is in creation of GL account master data & other configuration activities. All other module integration takes place by specifying GL accounts in their config. For ex: In MM, in OBYC, we specify GL accounts for inventory postings. While configuring SAP FICO Steps, it may so happen, we may forget some steps to configure. These steps can be done if some error comes in end user cycle.

Hi, I have download the CLD Success Package, and it's a good resource, But I have just found an issue with CLD 7 Date stamp to initialization String Solution.
It doesn't work on my UK machine. I have written my own solution and then checked to see how close I came to the solution, totally different, (no supprose there) but when I ran the solution, it does not return the 12 parts that are reuired in the specification.
The attached Exercise contains my solution, and the Solution contains the package solution.

The code is running ok but will only output array element once..
For example with amount 444 it outputs 200,20,2 instead of 200,200,20,20,2,2.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Also this is my first post so if its in the wrong location please advise. Thanks

The basic flaw in the algo your instructor gave is that a for/next loop is a set number of loops as given. The problem given cannot be fit into a set number of loops... (but alas, it can, but not in my example) do as previously stated in posts: follow the process you would use manually and notice the phrasing you use, actually vocalize it outloud may help, it will give you your approach to the solution.
here's a solution to your problem, it is not done the way the instructor wanted, nor at any level you can turn in, but you can see what it looks like--Merry Late Christmas:

Date problem in obiee 11g

Hi,
Our fact table is having the date on one hour interval basis.
EX: 14-AUG-2012 11:00:00 AM
14-AUG-2012 12:00:00 PM
14-AUG-2012 01:00:00 PM
The Times table we created is having day format.
EX: 14-AUG-2012 12:00:00 AM
15-AUG-2012 12:00:00 AM
16-AUG-2012 12:00:00 AM
Both columns datatype is DATE.
When we join fact table with Times table, the results are coming only for one interval per day i.e.for
14-AUG-2012 12:00:00 AM,
15-AUG-2012 12:00:00 AM,
16-AUG-2012 12:00:00 AM. The remanining 23 intervals from fact table are missing
Please help me how should I get all the 24 interval values, say by using trunc, todate function in admin tool. I cannot change the times table to one hour basis like wise in fact table.

There's no reason that joining by surrogate keys is better than joining with DATES. As a matter of fact... the Oracle database will join more efficiently with DATES than it will with NUMBERS. Tom Kyte demonstrates this time and time again on his site, but here is one example: http://asktom.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=100:11:0::::P11_QUESTION_ID:4632159445946.
Also... using WID's, as the BI Apps does, means that the fact tables can't be partitioned on DATE datatypes. That's fine for the BI Apps as a packaged solution, but that is not the optimal solution when building a custom data warehouse. DATES belong in DATE datatypes.

Transfer Of Data from Sap to Oracle with the help of Enterprise Services.

We want to transfer data from Sap to Oracle using standard Enterprise Services.Some fields were not available in the existing standard Enterprise Services,so we have enhanced the existing Services by writing code inside BADI available with Enterprise Services.Rest of the fields we have mapped with the existing fields available in standard Enterprise Services.But,the Oracle people want to fetch all data from Sap without entering any input as a mandatory field in the Enterprise Services.The existing standard Enterprise Services require to enter any field as mandatory and are not accepting the range in input for multiple records.e.g.All enterprise Services related to Sales Orders are displaying only one sales Order.We have searched all Enterprise Services for Sales Order(related to reading of data),but not able to find service which would display mutiple records without entering any input.ECC_SALESORDER009QR is the only service which is displaying multiple records without entering any input,but the required fields are not available in this service.So,kindly suggest what we need to do further.
1.Should we go for customization of services completely,so that it would fulfil our requirement.
2.Are there standard Enterprise Services exists which would we give us data in range(all records).
If they exists,please specify the names of Services for reading Purchase Order,Production Order,BOM etc.

Let me tell you the objective in detail.
Objective.
To develop a package solution which will work as a bridge between Oracle APS and SAP system so that customers using SAP will be able to use advantages of Oracle APS for their planning needs.
This will consist of following major components:
OA Templates is an Oracle utility to load data from any legacy system to Oracle APS using standard flat files.
Oracle has developed an Application Integration Architecture which is a standard architecture used for integration of Oracle products with other systems.
Enterprise services is an SAP utility to communicate with SAP.
AIA canonicals are standard canonicals developed by Oracle where we have to map data fields from destination system (Oracle APS) and source system (SAP)
Fusion middleware is being used to develop application interfaces following AIA standards.
Tasks at stake:
Mapping of Oracle APS fields and SAP Enterprise Service fields to AIA canonicals
Technical work of developing middleware using Oracle Fusion
From Sap side,we have to map fields which we have received from Oracle with the help of Enterprise Services,rest consumption of these services is done by Oracle guys.So,suggest is there enterprise services available which would give us multiple records .
