Packages Required - where to get ?

I'm installing oracle 11gR2 on Oracle Linux 5.7 (I'm using vmware fusion on apple machine) and the following packages are
currently missing on my system, they are required:
kernel-headers-2.6.18
libaio-devel-0.3.106
sysstat-7.0.2
unixODBC-devel-2.2.11
Nevertheless I did find the following installed packages on my installation (using the package manager):
kernel-2.6.18-274.el5.i686
libaio-0.3.106-5.i386
unixODBC-2.2.11-7.1.i386
where can I get those packages and how to install them ?? Can I get packages listed for Linux Red Hat 5, is it the same ?
They should not be in my computer since as far as I know I install everything when I first install Oracle Linux.

Dude, I followed all your instructions (using the oracle-validated option), then I started Oracle installer,
all tests now passed except still missing package:
kernel-headers-2.6.18
Then I looked in the package manager and saw the not-installed package:
kernel-headers-2.6.18-274.el5.i386
and I selected it and started installation which resulted with an error message indicating that many or all files from the
package to be installed conficts with files already installed from the package:
kernel-uek-headers-2.6.32-200.13.1.el5uek.i686
The description of both of these packages is the same: Header files for the Linux Kernel for use by glibc.
So I suppose that I only need one of those packages, not both - the question is which to install, I suppose
I should uninstall the existing package (the one with the "uek" descriptor) and install the one that Oracle
is requiring. Or the other option is to leave the currently installed package if it is better or newer and select
"IGNORE" in Oracle installation for this "missing package" message and continue the installation.
So I'll wait for your recommendations in this respect, otherwise your instructions worked flawlessly,

With the Error 2, let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.

Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?

I have installed MediaWiki on Solaris Express build 105. When someone's try to login to MediaWiki through web browser there is a error about encoding. Function iconv() is installed but there is no library for this extension. Without this library my computer can not do convert a non utf encoding to utf encoding so mostly 'windows' hosts can not do proper login. Error message says "password is wrong. try again".
Software that i used to install Mediawiki: apache2.2, mysql 5.0, php5.2
Where to get a binary package that will provide a library libiconv.so.2 or something ??

There is no need to install this library. I have made mistake. When i was doing copy-paste a password from OpenOffice then this password did not mutch with password that was type by hand into firefox. Only this was the problem.

I want to know where you get the source code of the owa_cookie.send procedure? I can only get the header of this package from ...\RDBMS\ADMIN\pubcook.sql. Could you paste the whole source code here and then I can modify it to set the 'httponly' attribute? I also have a problem that after changing the package, how to use the package I changed? Does it still a system package here? Or it has been changed to an user-defined package in database and I need to execute the package on the database for the web server?

These are the folders in my CR Server directory.

I would say that, since the OP has so little info, there are no policies in use. It there were then this question would never be asked the way it is being asked.
I had a client call with a letter from their insurance company; an accountant with malpractice insurance. THey asked the same question inmuch the same way. "What computer can you users access?" The question should be more like
"Do you have a policy that restricts access to computers and do you audit for compliance?"
I have had other clients whose insurance asked the question in that way. It produces a better view of what should be happening and how to show compliance.
I recommend that companies being asked these questions by their legal departments or insurance companies should contract with a god computer security consultant to assist with answering these very tricky questions. Of course if it is just you boss's
curiosity then you may need to discuss his requirements with him in more depth.

I have to implement SAP Enterprise Portal SSO for our tomcat/servlet solution. I downloaded PDK 6.0 SP6 and saw that I also need a software called SDM (SAP Deployment Manager).

Where to get Application Development 11.1.1.4 CD

With the release of JDev 11.1.1.4 and WLS 10.3.4 - where do we download the latest application development runtime (in order to install the JRF template in WLS)? The Fusion Middleware Download Page (where we can get 11.1.1.2 and 11.1.1.3 versions of this) say to visit the individual product pages for 11.1.1.4 versions. The app dev download is not on the WLS page. Is the JRF now included with WLS installs, or is the download hidden away somewhere else?

I agree - Oracle needs to fix the download organisation for OFM PS3 - it used to be you could go to one page and find all of the stuff; not anymore. For example, say you wanted the repository creation assistant for PS3... where to get it? Yes, an obvious choice is to go to the SOA Suite download page, since SOA Suite requires a repository - however, I wanted it for MDS and to test out the new DB store for OPSS, not SOA.

Hi Kent,
If you have the Java Component of ISA, then you can extract the javadoc which is supplied in it.
Please check whether you have the SAPSHRJAV<version>.sca, if not download it from SAP Market Place.
You need to open this software component using Winzip and inside it you will another zip file by name, "crmshrjavadoc.zip"
When you open it you'll see a javadoc.ppa file rename it to javadoc.zip and extract it within a folder.
In the extracted folder you'll find all the required Javadocs along with API's and Interfaces.
Hope you'll find the required documents inside it.

How do I downgrade to Safari 4? And where to get it?? version 5 is really really bad. It slows down my entire system. (I dont have any 3rd party plugins or whatever)

Don't give up on it yet!
If your Safari keeps crashing, or if you are updating Safari (or just have) and it is misbehaving:
N.B. Never delete Safari, never run it under Rosetta, don't use proxy settings, and don't change the application's name or move it from the top level of the Applications Folder to a sub-folder.
(If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall. Alternatively you can download Safari directly:

Input Managers and other plug-ins from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up. If Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4 or, if you downloaded it, Safari 3.0.3 beta. Safari 10.4.11 used Safari 3.0.4 which was not a beta and which was updated to v.3.1.2, and now Tiger uses Safari 4.1.2 and Leopard uses Safari 5.0.2, as does Snow Leopard albeit a different version. If these latest versions of Safari are not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
(Trying to revert to a previous version of Safari can have repercussions, as previous versions of Safari used a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail, Dashboard Widgets etc also rely, but if you really want to do this post back for instructions on the safe way to do so.)
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Add-ons that have been frequently mentioned here, among others, for causing such problems are Piclens, Saft, AcidSearch and Pithhelmet, and the dreaded CT Toolbar. If you have them, trash them and go the developer's sites to see if new versions are available for the latest version of Safari on your current operating system.
You must also ensure that you have downloaded and installed all the correct version for your Mac of Security Updates. These require a restart and a permission repair.
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
• Hard Disk/Library/InputManagers
• Home/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates and updates to Safari (they can always be added back one-by-one later).
Lastly, the Safari updates require a restart of your Mac, and sometimes even a double restart is required.
