Packages stuck in pending state on a new DP

I created a new DP and 80% of all the packages were distributed successfully but there are some packages that did not get copied.  Current status shows that it is still pending.  When I attempt to cancel or re-distribute the package, distmgr.log
shows "Package xxxxx is in Pending state and will not be processed..."  There are no references to these pending packages in the smsdpprov.log.
PkgXferMgr.log and PkgXferMgr.lo_ do not date back far enough for me to review.
I am running SCCM 2012 R2 with no cumulative updates.  I was planning on installing CU4 next week.

I was able to "fix" this issue by Updating Content from the Software Library.  No idea why the primary server didn't just send these packages the first time.  Time to upgrade to CU4.

  • OIM Attestation Process Stuck in 'Pending' State

I have created an User Entitlement Attestation process that resulted in zero total records. I think that this was because I did not have any resources marked as 'financially significant'. Nevertheless, it seems that the process should have auto completed since there were no records found, but instead it is stuck in 'pending' with no tasks for anyone to perform.
Anyone know what I should do to get the process to complete?

  • Profile Type Privilege Assignments through IDM roles are stuck in Pending State

    Hi Everyone,
We are getting a strange problem in our project in IDM 7.2 SP8. We use IDM role based concept where backend system specific technical roles, profiles (called as privileges in IDM) combined into IDM roles and these IDM roles are assigned to users.
Events are configured on the privileges level (i,e backend system specific technical roles, profiles) in IDM so that once a IDM role is assigned to a user the corresponding privileges are assigned to user in IDM and these assignments triggers provisioning to associated backend systems.
Now for role type privileges the provisioning is working fine. But for profile type privileges the provisioning status is always showing as pending and nothing happening and even no logs are showing in job log.
I tried with execution of the mc_analyze_assignments stored procedure that came with SP08 to find the logs at least but still no information appearing. Looks like the triggering itself is not happening.
I also compared the member events definition for the profile type privileges with the role type privileges (for which the provisioning is working fine) and looks like the settings are exactly same.
Can any one suggest any other things that we are suppose to check? Any help is highly appreciable.

    Hello Venkata,
did I understand correctly: You have business roles, that have SAP-profiles & SAP-roles (both privileges in IDM) assigned. Now you assign such a business role to a user, but only the SAP-roles are provisioned to the backend system and the SAP-profiles are not?
Since you can see them in the UI for the user as pending, it looks like at least the provisioning is triggered, just not completed.
You could check with the following SQL-statement, if they are waiting for the sucessful completion of another task and work your way from there:
select * from mxp_provision where msg like 'Wait for%'
The MSG-column gives you the audit-id of the "blocking" task and you can find more information about that one via
    select * from mxp_audit where auditid=<auditid>
to see, what is going on there.
Also do you have access to the Monitoring-tab via http://<portalurl:port>/idm/admin? In the provisioning-audit you might find some clues for those operations, too.
    Regards,
    Steffi.

  • CiscoWorks IPM - collectors stuck in pending state

I have IPM 2.6 running on ciscoworks, the first collector i created as a test worked perfectly and started running immediately.  Now when i've come to start the project proper to configure 400 collectors only 4 collectors show up.  Cisco's recommended collectors per ipm server is 1000 so i'm well within the figure.
I even left it overnight thinking it might be database synching issues. Still can't find all the collectors, worst of all when i try to create new collectors it sees them as duplicates.
The source device is reachable and the ipm process is running, any pointers please?

  • JMS Messages Stuck in Pending

    Hi,
We have Weblogic JMS provider and we use spring JMS listener to read messages of the queues. Our Spring listeners are running inside a webMethods Integration Server container. For a few of the queues, we have been seeing messages that are stuck in the "Pending" state on the JMS queues. The state string inside webLogic is shown as "receive". We don't have any evidence from our logs that the message actually is received by the listener or by subsequent processes down stream. The messages gets cleared when the Weblogic server is restarted.
Has anyone faced a similar issue or any ideas as to what might be causing this stuck messages?
    Our weblogic version is 9.2
    Regards,
    Aneel
    Edited by: user3127831 on Mar 24, 2009 7:02 AM

    Hi Aneel
Typically JMS messages get stuck in pending state between components because of XA issues - due to configuration on one side of the fence or another, transactions aren't committed successfully, so a JMS message is placed on a queue successfully, but is not available due to the transaction that created it not committing successfully.
What is creating the messages being placed on the queues? What's the difference between how you're creating messages for the queues you can read successfully and the ones that are not becoming available?

  • HT201269 my new 5s was stuck in recovery state & now dead

    hi can anyone help me?
my 5s is stuck in recovery state. Now its gone off it seems and doesnt come on. It's dead.

You need to upgrade your computer's OS to at least OS X 10.5.8 and use iTunes 10.5.
With OS X 10.4.11, you cannot upgrade beyond iTunes 9.2.1.
OS X upgrades from 10.4.XX to 10.5.XX require purchasing a DVD with the new OS.  If your laptop has an intel processor, you can upgrade directly to OS X 10.6 for $29.
Take your laptop to the store with your new phone and ask them what your best options are.

  • CiscoWorks 3.1 RME devices hung in pending state

I added over 4800 devices to my new instance of CiscoWorks LMS 3.1 using the dcrcli tool and a about 75% of them are stuck in the RME pending state.  About 900 of them have moved to the normal state and inventory and config archive collection has been successful on them.  3950 have not moved from the pending state and when I click pending no devices show up.  They also show as failed under the inventory collection state.  I am new to CW so any help would be apreciated.
    Thanks!

    Is LMS integrated with ACS?

  • Why is my developer account stuck in pending mode (I've paid for renewal)?

Our account was set to expire soon so we did our due diligence.  We accepted the new term and agreements and then paid the fee to renew the developer account.  It has been a month now and our account is still pending (a pending that's only supposed to take 24 hours to complete).  In addition to this after two weeks we used one of our Apple help tickets to try and get some support.  No dice there!  Not even a "Hi, we're working on it...".
This is one of three accounts I'm trying to renew, and all of our accounts are currently in this state of "You've paid for renewal but you're in pending state...".
Has anyone found a solution for this or know something about it?

"Why are you using a hot corner to access the iPhoto Window?"
Should have been clearer - I'm using the hot corner to access my open windows. iPhoto opens, and when I have it open, the iPhoto window does not appear on the desktop, but it does appear when I go down into the hot corner. However, when I click on the iPhoto window from the hot corner, it just pops back out of sight.

  • Workflow stuck in starting state after applying SharePoint 2010 CU December 2012

I have custom visual studio workflow which are associated with Custom content type. workflow gets triggered automatically when a file is uploaded to SharePoint. Everything was working fine till when i apply the following CU
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/joerg_sinemus/archive/2012/12/27/sharepoint-2010-and-december-2012-cu.aspx
After applying this my workflow get stuck in "Starting" state.
No error were logged in 14 hive logs.
    Thanks in Advance!

It took me a while but I came up with a work around.  There is a PowerShell script below that can be used to trigger the workflow.  Hopefully this will hold all of us over until the official fix arrives.
First remove the auto start on change or new from the affected workflow
Edit the script below to match your environment
Add the script to Windows task scheduler with the PowerShell.exe in the command line
This assumes PowerShell.exe is in the path
Then add the full path and script name in the add arguements text box
    Script:
#The purpose of this script is to start the SPD workflow with the windows task scheduler for a trigger
#This should avoid the check in-out issue caused by the December 2012 SP CU patch
#This needs to be run on an account with membership in the farm administration group for SharePoint and Shell in SQL
#You can use a find and replace to replace the server and other names with your actual names
#There are no status messages being used since this will be a scheduled task in the Windows task scheduler
#Add SharePoint modules and create variable space
    add-pssnapin microsoft.sharepoint.powershell
    start-spassignment -global
#Open the web site, list and the workflow
    $site=get-spsite %site url%"
    $web=get-spweb %Web url%

    $site.workflowmanager.startworkflow($item,$association,$data,$wfrunoption)

  • Databases in Recovery Pending state

    Dear all,
Need your expertise to understand bit more.
Yesterday i came across databases in "Recovery Pending" state problem.
Followed too many recommendations form Google but to no avail.
    e.g. http://dbamohsin.wordpress.com/2012/01/23/cannot-detach-a-suspect-or-recovery-pending-database/
Plucked some leafs from Paul Randal's articles as well http://www.sqlskills.com/blogs/paul/post/Search-Engine-QA-4-Using-EMERGENCY-mode-to-access-a-RECOVERY-PENDING-or-SUSPECT-database.aspx
But none of them could fixed my problem.
    What i did:
I installed 2008 r2 on a machine (DEV) which already had 2008; yea instance name was different.
Had to restart the server so i did (yea, i gave all developers enough time but due to some reasons databases were in recovery pending mode).
After restart, some databases (not all) were in recovery pending state. Above links provided enough stuff to recover them but didnt work. For instance after setting database in Emergency mode, it stayed there for ages telling something like "Database is
being recovered, wait until recovery is finished".
    How i fixed it:
I attached them onto the newly created 2008 r2 instance. Made them offline (on old instance) in case there is any access conflict. Didnt get any error, like files are in use or something,  while attaching them (which raised an eyebrow).
Couple of things i noticed after new instance's installation:
While trying to reattach database on same old instance, I wasn't able to see the .mdf and .ldf files form there respective drives. But i was able to see from the new instance.
    WHY?
Both sql server services (old and new) were using same service account. When i gave service account enough ntfs permissions on the drive i was able to see all .mdf and .ldf files.
    Questions are:
    1) Why it wasnt the case before? Important to note here: service accounts were local admins on the server.
(I think i am answering myself here...would love to get more insight on it).
    2) Is it normal that i just have 2008r2 tools in Start>>Program. e.g. there is just 2008 r2 management studio not 2008 one etc.
Dont want to let this happen in production environment (i will have backups though), so is there any approach you guys are using to avoid it.
I hope i made myself clear here, or let me know.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    Dinkar Chalotra

If you dont need your log file, you can:
    Detach your database
Move the log file to other place
Attach back the database and from the file list, remove the ldf
SQL server will create a new log file and the database will be online again.

  • JMS messages stuck as Pending messages

              Hi.
I am trying to write an application to process huge amounts of data. I try to
process around 1,000, 000 messages [java objects] using a single queue and 8 MDB.
The strange thing is that in the end there are always 10 messages stuck in the
              pending message category.
I can also observe that a weblogic thread is stuck. [can see it in the console]
The stuck thread current description is something like "Connectio27.Session28".
I have tried to use the QueueConnectionFactory from a EJB using resource reference
instead of fetching it directly. Even this has not helped. I guess the problem
is that while loading the messages onto the queues, one of the threads gets stuck
              somewhere.
I am sing MDB's for processing. There doesnot seem to be any problems on the MDB
              side.
If I reboot the server the 10 messages get processed successfully.
Any ideas will be highly appreciated.

if you waited for a minute or so between each threaddump, it definitly
sounds like an issue around the database query not returning or there is too
              much data being returned.

  • Package procedure in invalid state

    Hi all,
We are having an application in C# and backend oracle 10g placed in Location1.
There is modification in Packaged procedure. So we remotely (from Location2) connected to Location1 and that Packaged procedure is created.
This Packaged procedure has been created (in Location1 ) without any errors. But this procedure is in INVALID state. We tried to compile it remotely by using following statements, but still this is in invalid state .
    ALTER PACKAGE my_package COMPILE;
    ALTER PACKAGE my_package COMPILE BODY;
If we run this package and package body manually, without any modifications after creating it remotly, it is becoming VALID state.
I am not getting any idea, why it is creating in INVALID state. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pal

Ok, here's a previous response that I gave re. packages and their "states". Should give you a good idea what a state is...
Packages tend to fail because of their "package state". A package has a "state" when it contains package level variables/constants etc. and the package is called. Upon first calling the package, the "state" is created in memory to hold the values of those variables etc. If an object that the package depends upon e.g. a table is altered in some way e.g. dropped and recreated, then because of the database dependencies, the package takes on an INVALID status. When you next make a call to the package, Oracle looks at the status and sees that it is invalid, then determines that the package has a "state". Because something has altered that the package depended upon, the state is taken as being out of date and is discarded, thus causing the "Package state has been discarded" error message.
If a package does not have package level variables etc. i.e. the "state" then, taking the same example above, the package takes on an INVALID status, but when you next make a call to the package, Oracle sees it as Invalid, but knows that there is no "state" attached to it, and so is able to recompile the package automatically and then carry on execution without causing any error messages. The only exception here is if the thing that the package was dependant on has changes in such a way that the package cannot compile, in which case you'll get an Invalid package type of error.
And if you want to know how to prevent discarded package states....
Move all constants and variables into a stand-alone package spec and reference those from your initial package. Thus when the status of your original package is invlidated for whatever reason, it has no package state and can be recompiled automatically, however the package containing the vars/const will not become invalidated as it has no dependencies, so the state that is in memory for that package will remain and can continue to be used.
As for having package level cursors, you'll need to make these local to the procedures/functions using them as you won't be able to reference cursors across packages like that (not sure about using REF CURSORS though.... there's one for me to investigate!)
This first example shows the package state being invalided by the addition of a new column on the table, and causing it to give a "Package state discarded" error...
    SQL> set serveroutput on
    SQL>
SQL> create table dependonme (x number)

  • [SOLVED] Mailbox import requests stuck in 'queued' state

We have a small Exchange 2013 environment with one server having all roles. I try to import archive mailboxes from an Exchange 2010 environment. It has worked quite well for a while. However, all import requests are now 'stuck' in 'queued' state. Restart
of Replication service, transport service and even server reboot didn't help.
    When I run
    get-mailboximportrequest | Get-MailboxImportRequestStatistics -Includereport | fl
I observe that PositionInQueue value tells me that there are 85 import requests waiting :
    ItemsTransferred                       :
    PercentComplete                        : 0
    CompletedRequestAgeLimit               : 30.00:00:00
    PositionInQueue                        : 85/90 (Position/Queue Length)
    InternalFlags                          : None
    FailureCode                            :
There should be no requests waiting as I removed all requests in advance before I issued new import requests:
    get-mailboximportrequest | Remove-MailboxImportRequest
How can I really reset an import queue by zeroing PositionInQueue ?
    Any suggestions/tips?

  • Ordered phone, stuck at Pending Confirmation

I ordered an upgrade as I need the new phone for my job. The ATT store doesn't do two year contract upgrades in store, and I had to upgrade online. I ordered expedited shipping, but the status doesn't show up on the att site at all. The only email I got takes me to a page where it has been stuck on "Pending Confirmation" without shipping. I see no charge on my bank account from this order either.  I've called multiple times and no one has any info besides just wait. Can't say how long or when this will update. It's frustrating as I need the phone now.

    Hey there
I’m sorry to hear your device order has not yet shipped. I’d be happy to help! Our eCom department will be able to provide a detailed status update for your order and help get things moving. Please give us a call at 866-267-4510 and we’ll make sure everything is ready to get your device shipped out!
    Thanks,
