Packaging for distribution

I have made a mobile banner ad and an animated ad for a local newspaper(their desktop and mobile site). I am unsure of  the best way to send the banner ad to the newspaper. Should I send an OAM package? Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated thanks!

In general, you should do publish for Web, and send them the content in the newly created folder (publish\web) inside the saved composition folder.
You should not give them oam unless they ask for, as oam files are specific for insertion into webpages generally created by other Adobe products like Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Muse etc.

  • About Software packaging for Distribution on internet

    Hi
I am developing a software which will be available for users on net.But The problem is, i have to bundle the jre1.3 along with the application.
My Application size is 1 MB
    & jre1.3 is 7.39 MB
Total Software Package is 8.39 MB.
I am using a InstallAnywhere for Packaging.
Is there any way to to reduce the application size so that it will be easily downloadable for users ?

Why don't you take a look at the Java WebStart technology that is available at:
    http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/
Java Webstart is a new application deployment technology that allows developers to deploy applications and allow the user to launch an application from a click of a button within a web browser.
Another webpage that you can get a relatively good documentation on Java Webstart 1.0:
    http://access1.sun.com/SRDs/access1_srds.html
Please post your questions here if you anymore doubts or enquiries.

  • TestStand - Call Package VIs for Distribusion.vi is not executable

I am trying to assemble my VIs for Run-Time distribution using the TestStand tool. How ever on selecting the Run-Time distribution option, the following error is displayed
"An error occurred in the 'Package VIs' step of the 'Package VIs' sequence in 'VI Packager.seq'.
LabVIEW : VI is not executable.
An error occurred accessing the LabVIEW ActiveX automation server. Error Code: -18001"
On oppening the vi (TestStand - Call Package VIs for Distribusion.vi)it was seen to have brken arrows. The problem appears to be located in the sub vi, TestStand - Build dist for TestStand.vi which is password protected. Could this be a problem with my ActiveX connection(TestStand is using the LabView standard prototype Ada
pter with the LabView Development environment serving as the ActiveX server. The sequence I am trying to package runs successfully under these condisions)?

    Hi,
One of the things you need to do is to ensure all your vi's are at the same version of labview. All TestStand assoicated llb's and Vi's are at version 5.1.1 when you first install it.
Therefore, if you have updated your labview, you will need to mass compile the TestStands folders.
Also, check the Updates for TestStand, http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/954feaeea92d90918625674b00658b83/e047ebba4b45a98786256949007bc2a7?OpenDocument this may or may not affect depending on what TestStand and LabVIEW versions you are using.

  • WIP: Creating packages for other distributions

    Hi,
I didn't find any related articles, so I've decided to start work on one:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Us … tributions
Looking for any input (especially about Fedora/RPM). Even telling me such an article would be useless.

Interesting you should post this today.  I just started working on 'porting' makepkg to debian (makedeb).  My goal as described here is to have a tool that can turn something very much like a PKGBUILD (DEBBUILD, RPMBUILD) into a package for those distros.
My approach will currently run only on the target distro.  So perhaps this is a bit of the inverse of your method (me using arch PKGBUILDs in debian to make a .deb rather than you using a tool in archlinux to make a .deb).
I have a bit of a "proof of concept" example that works as intended here and I've now modified the actual makepkg script from pacman to create a full featured (but yet untested) makedeb script.
I'd love to have a tool to make fully compatible .deb or .rpm packages from within archlinux, but I know very little about those packaging standards, and had grown a bit frustrated with their (lack of and/or confusing) documentation while I was trying figure it out.

  • Mod_jk2 package for Solaris 10 x86

I need a mod_jk2 package for Solaris 10 x86 so it will be part of my installation, thus build is not good enough. Can anyone help?
    Oren

Creator is now integrated into NetBeans. Download the Java + EE
distribution of the NetBeans 6.1 release from netbeans.org.
When you create a project, you will be led through a series of panels,
where the last is Frameworks. Select the "Visual Web JavaServer Faces"
framework. You will be familiar with the rest, and of course it will
    work on solarisx86.
    Have fun!

  • Business packages for Mailing & Project Management

Hi everybody, here is my question/problem:
I'd like to integrate in my SAP Portal (6.0.15) two new functionalities. One for mailing and other one for project management.
For Mailing I've seen "Business Package for Communication", but i've red that it only works for Portal 5.0. Is this true? Does anybody know anothe B.P. for mailing in SAP Portal 6.0?
For Project Management I've seen in the SAP Software Distribution Service this one:
SAP for Professional Services Edition 2005 ==> Project Management ==> BI CONT (Component Version)
Does anybody know if this is a B.P. for Project Management?
    Any replies are welcome

  • Remove package from Distribution Point

I have been fighting with an OS deployment for the last day. The log was showing it was unable to find the package p0100001 which was my boot image. I eventually got it working as I failed to configure my boundary correctly. But it got me wondering...
In SCCM 2007, it was pretty straight forward on how to remove packages from distribution points. But I still can't figure out how to remove a package, specifically a boot image, from a DP. I can view the distribution in the monitoring section and see the
package successfully deployed, but what if I wanted to remove that boot image from the DP? How is this done. I'm sure it's staring me in the face, but I'm missing it. Thanks!

I realize this is an old post, but I am dealing with the same issue regarding the removal of deployment package contents from Distribution Points.  After removing a Distribution Point from the Contents Locations tab on one of my Deployment Packages,
how long does it take for the deployment package to be removed from the distribution point.  I have removed a large deployment package from a distribution point, but am not seeing any increase in the available free space.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Making a Flash Project for distribution on a PC/MAC

I recently completed a mobile project and I want to convert it so that it can be install on a PC or Mac.
I was wondering if there was a setting that could allow me to create the project for PC or Mac and have it installed like any other program.
I do have a solution that I've used previously:
    1) Create a swf.
    2) Use Zinc (http://www.multidmedia.com/) to create the package
    3) Use Inno Installer to create the installer (Windows)
I am trying to aviod having to use three different programs to package my app for distribution as well as create two distribution files, one for PC and the other for MAC.
I am aware that I can set the publishing settings to AIR 3.2 for desktop and use the Windows installer option. But when I did  that and installed the program on my computer, to test,  and launched it I couldn't see the program. It was open but not visible.
Also, are there any api's are not allowed on desktop e.g. NativeApplication class? I am trying figure out why I could not view my app on the PC.
    Any thoughts would help.

    use air.
check the as3 classes api.  flash player version support is listed at the top of each class.

  • Failed to Validate Package on Distribution Point - Straight After Successful Distribution

    Hello,
I have an updates deployment package which I have sent out to a distribution point and the status reports that the distribution was successful. If however I then do a validation of the same package, or wait for SCCM to do a validation, I get the status that
it Failed to Validate Package on Distribution Point - the package is either missing or corrupted, please redeploy. If I then redeploy the package it once again goes fine and everything seems good but when another validation takes place I get the
    same error message again.
The same package is fine on other distribution points and other packages are fine on the distribution point that has the issue.
Are there are logs that will help me see why SCCM thinks the package is missing or corrupted?
    Thank you for any help.
    Kind Regards,
    Stephen

    Hello,
Having done a bit more work on this issue I seemed to have managed to get it fixed. It turned out that the issue was due to an incorrect package ini file.
On the distribution point there is an ini file in the SCCMContentLib/PkgLib directory that has the same name as the distribution package. That ini file is supposed to refernce all the packages that are part of the distribution package but in my
case the ini file was no longer correct. Since the distribution package had been created and first sent out a number of the updates had expired and so should no longer be sent out to distribution points but for some reason the ini file still contained a reference
to them so when a validation took place it was complaining that there were package files missing. Deleting the ini file and redistributing the package sorted the problem as the ini file was created once again and this time it only contains references to the
packages that were actually sent to the distribution point.
    Many thanks for your help.

  • Lightroom 5 from Amazon: Box says "Only for distribution in North America"

I bought Lightroom 5 through Amazon: Box says "Only for distribution in North America. Not for distribution anywhere else, including ... Africa..." I live in South Africa. Please explain. Can I use this product?

It's the first thing that Adobe says when I go to the website they say on the package: www.adobe.com/go/elegibility.
    I copy:  http://www.adobe.com/education/students/student-eligibility-guide.edu.html?
"Adobe software is available at an education  discount for students, teachers, staff, and institutions. You can  purchase software for your personally owned computer or those owned by  your school. These requirements apply in the United States and Canada."
They should have posted that on AMAZON UK so that students who buy from Amazon UK will not buy it.

  • Cert issues: package for release. Am I being silly?

So, I want to package an iOS / AIR app for release, all is good until I get to uploading when I see the error:
"The executable <asdasd> must be signed with the certificate that is contained in the provisioning profile."
I am guessing that means that I have to use the distribution cert that is in my developer.apple page?
    Except...
That offers no option to set password etc and Flash Builder won't compile without a password... (yes, that means I used the wrong cert to compile originally... :$).
Can anybody point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    G

OK, this is bugging me now.
    I have regenerated everything:
    1. CertSigningRequest
    2. Distribution cert on ios
    3. PEM files
    4. p12 file for distribution
    5. Provisioning file
    Still getting the same error.

  • Creation of Add-on package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One Client

Please help me creating package for 64 bit and 32 bit SAP Business One. If Add-on executable is compiled with x86 option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 32 bit SAP Business one and if Add-on executable is compiled with Any CPU option then there is no issue of connecting Add-on with 64 bit SAP Business one. Problems are mentioned as below
    1. My Add-on uses MS ACCESS connection and the connection is read using Jet OLEDB 4.0 provider. It works fine for x86 compile mode but not when compile mode is Any CPU. I searched for the issue on Google and found a solution to change MS ACCESS connection provider to ACE.OLEDB.12.0 but again ACE provider is installed according to the Office version i.e. 32 bit or 64 bit office suite. If I install 32 bit ACE provider then Add-on executable compiled with x86 version is working fine but with Any CPU option throws error as provider is not registered on current machine.
    2. Secodly, our license validation activex dll is build using vb 6.0 and therefore when Add-on executable is compiled using Any CPU option, Add-on EXE cannot read from license dll. Any suggestion, how the activeX dll can be compiled whose component can be created from for X86 compiled exe and any cpu compiled exe.
Please help because we are stuck in this issue and cannot move forward.
    Thanks.

    Hi Alejandro,
That is one solution but did your add on used ms access connection? if you used Jet oledb to connection string or ace oledb connection string? what if 32 bit office is installed and what if 64 office is installed? how did you found the office version in install script? after determining the office version how did you installed Microsoft redistributable for ace oledb (32 bit or 64 bi )?
I am sorry that I asked many questions but these are the problems where I am stuck with the addon installer?
    Thanks
