Packing materials used in packing proposal

Hey all,
Is there a FM that i can use to obtain all the packing materials that have been used in a packing proposal or any ideas on how to get this data?
You can access the packing proposal thru the transaction VA03 -> Extras -> Packing proposal -> Ttl content.
I already tried doing a trace by ST05 but it didnt show any related tables to the packing materials (materials used to pack).

Not quite sure, but check MARA-VHART and MARA-MAGRV values if it helps in finding the possible packaging materials.

Many materials are packed in a similar way. If certain materials differ in only one characteristic (for example, construction), having to maintain a packing instruction for each of them results in a considerable time and efforts.

Hi.
Try with reference material for packing (MARA-RMATP). Same material number must be entered on all materials which are packed through same packing instructions.
Then you have to create/use access sequence for determination of packing instructions that contains that characteristic (RMATP).

2.What are the master data need to be maintained for packing materials and what are the T codes used for this .

Hi,
Here the steps :
1st create you main material you want to pack.
2nd create the packing material using VERP material type.
3rd need to create packing instruction using t.code P0P1.
    Once you are in the creation screen just press enter without give anything, then select item P for packing material, give the created packing material here.
    Then give the main material and how much you want to pack.
     Save the changes you will see a number this is packing instruction number.
4th then do packing determination using t.code P0F1.
Here give the determination type.
Then select the key combination on which you want to determine packing say material general level.
Now give the material and packing instruction number as created above.
Now if you create delivery the packing will take place automatically.

Determine costs for packing when using handling units

Hi Experts,
How can I track the costs for packing process and packing material when I am using Handling Units to represent the packing ?
Is there any idea?
The only way I see for tracking the costs is to create a packing operation when creating the FP (and do not use HU).

Thanks for the answer Mario, but let me ask more precise question.
I have a finished product AAA which is not packed. Now I have a requirement to pack it.
So before hearing about HU, I would add a new operation step to AAA recipe, new resource and a packing material to AAA's BOM.
For this option I don't have questions.
But now I want to use HU. so I create packaging instructions, and do the transactions
- COWBPACK - Work Order - Finished Product - to pack materials in process order
- COWBHUWE - Goods Receipt for Work Order - to do a GR for process order.
And where can I consider the labour and packing material expenses here? I even don't have a resource which is doing a packing. so I can't do scheduling...maybe I don't understand the usage of HU?

Error BEA-000438 - Unable to load performance pack. Using Java I/O instead.

On a Solaris 9 machime, 64 bits architecture, j2sdk1.4.2_08, Weblogic Server 8.1 SP2
          when I try to deploy the application, launching java wiht "-d64" option I get :

If there is an option to "license this software", and it takes you to a sign-in page with username and password (not a serial number) - then just go ahead and sign in.
If it insists on a serial number you need to uninstall the trial. Then try to download again.

What format are those music scores (I'm not familiar with cubase documents). But, it may be that Adobe PDF Pack doesn't support that format. In that case, Acrobat is the way to go. You can then print your files to PDF as you'd like. You're welcome to try Acrobat for free for 30 days to see whether it's going to work for you. If you decide it is, and you'd like to use it going forward, you could convert your PDF Pack subscription into an Acrobat subscription.

Using PDF Pack to convert a .docx document containing internal hyperlinks

I just used PDF Pack to convert a .docx document to pdf format. The document contained a hyperlink to a bookmark within the document. The text converted OK, and the hyperlinked text was underlined, but not active. Clicking on the hyperlinked text did nothing. It seems that internal hyperlinks don’t convert using this software.

I am running WL 1033 development version using 64-bit 1.6.1 jdk (jdk-6u21-windows-x64) and the performance is terrible. I have upped my mem settings to this:
set MEM_ARGS=-Xms1024m -Xmx1408m -XX:PermSize=1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=1024m
and after a couple of deploys, I still get out of memory errors.
I notice this message on startup: <BEA-000438> <Unable to load performance pack. Using Java I/O instead. Please ensure that wlntio.dll is in:
Could this be part of my performace issues? If so, how do I fix it?
I followed the install directions in the README.txt file from this zip file: wls1033_dev.zip

If you are using 64 bit of Windows Operating System then Make sure that you add the following directory in the *"java.library.path"*....
Directory: E:\bea1033\wlserver_10.3\server\native\win\64
Example: In your servers start Script please add the following MEM_ARGS or in JAVA_OPTIONS:

Pack without using delivery line items

Hello Abappers,
Packing using function module WS_DELIVERY_UPDATE is used to pack a delivery and is working fine. However this function module packs by delivery line item so HU's cannot be packed more or less in quantity than the delivery line item. The client wants to pack the delivery as a whole balancing out the packing loads on the HU's as is done when packing manually so that each HU is loaded as close to capacity as possible. Has anybody had experience with using this FM or another where the delivery is packed as a whole and not by line item.

check include MV50AFZ1, form USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE.
If delivery number already given, you should be able to save text with function module SAVE_TEXT in this user exit.

Error Message When Using A.pack

I have a sequence that I exported out of FCP4.5 using compressor. It is about a two hour long movie and won't fit onto a dvd unless I use A.pack. I launch A.pack and make the settings and drop my AIFF files onto the two speakers and export. It gets about half way done and I get an error message that says "Mac OS has encountered a general error #1." I click OK and have to start over. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Thanks

Hi Tim,
Welcome aboard. This is an issue which was not rectified with dual processors until the DVDSP 4 release when Dolby encoding was moved to Compressor.
The simpliest form which has a good rate of success is set the encode going and don't touch anything until the encode finishes. This works well for most systems.
If you can't get this to work you will have to download CHUD from versiontracker. And disable one of your processors for the duration of the encoding.

Option : 1
Create your packing (VERP) material as per the Customer.
E.g.
Packing material   Product   Customer
200000000            ABC         XYZ
200000001            ABC         YZX
200000002            ABC         XZY
200000003            BCD         XYZ
200000004            BCD         YZX
200000005            BCD         XZY
Option : 2
If you are batch managed then and then only this option will work.
Create Characteristic "Customer"
- Assign it a Batch Class (023)
- Assign this batch class to the material
- Now as and when any transaction will be done on this material, you can apply the relevant customer to the batch and separate that particular by customer.

1) it all depends on Business Scenario , if they want to maintain in BOM , then maintain in BOM
2) if ur mainating in BOM, then reservations are created against Prd order & issue will happen
if u don't want to mainatin in BOM, then just refer this thread

PDF Pack is a conversion tool which would convert PDF to different formats and vice versa. It cannot be used for reading PDFs.
If you want to open and read PDF file you can use Adobe Reader.

I have faced this problem earlier also but that time I used tar.sh and untar.sh scripts provided by our engineering team, but this time I don't have.
also it seems there is some ongoing bug with pack.sh/cmd & unpack.sh/cmd
thus it fails to compress the domain into a jar everytime
FYI: I am using
WebLogic server with portal 10.3.2
with DB as MSSQL Server
on windows platform
