Packing specifications at Delivery

Plz guide me how to maintain packing specification or packing materials at delivery ..... so that i can enter material specification against each item  ....thnx

To pack delivery items into handling units (HUs), proceed as follows:
1.     Choose Edit ® Pack in the quantities overview of the delivery.
2.     Create the handling units that you will need on the All existing HUs (available for packing) screen. You can also access handling units that were created previously (  Non-Assigned Handling Units). For more information about creating handling units, see Working with Handling Units.
3.     In the Material to be packed (or All HUs that can be packed) section of the screen, select the items that you want to pack. Also select the handling units into which the materials are to be packed in the All existing HUs section of the screen. Then, select Pack. (See also: Packing If Full, New HU per x HUs and Packing per Partial Quantity.)
The system sends you either a success message or notifies you of problems, if the weight or volume limit was reached and not all the items could be packed, for instance.
If you have selected several handling units for packing, then the selected handling unit that is highest in the list is packed first. If not all items to be packed fit in this handling unit, the packing operation is automatically continued with the following selected handling units.
If only a partial quantity of a delivery item is to be packed, you must specify this in the Partial qty field for the corresponding item in the Material to be packed (or All HUs that can be packed) section of the screen.
The weight of the packaging is not added to the total weight of the delivery.
The following illustration shows one delivery item and the partial quantity of another delivery item being packed into a handling unit.

  • Packing Status at Delivery Header

    We are in the process of creating a form that will include the details of the all delivery items packed on a handling unit. We want the output to be triggered automatically when the delivery has been completely packed.
    We created a requirement to look at the packing status at delivery header level.  There is a packing status field (VBUK-PKSTK) at delivery header level  and packing status (VBUP-PKSTA) at item level.
    We did not expect the delivery header level header to change to "C" until all item were "C".  However, the header level field changes to "C" when the first item on the delivery is packed.  I
    I looked through the SAP Notes to see if there was something there to address this, but could not find anything. 
    I then searched the forums and found a message from 2007 saying that you must configure item categories with "must be packed" in order for this to work. I know we do not want to configure our system that way.  We have many sites and most do not use handling units.
    However, before I have my developer add code to check all statuses at item level prior to triggering an output, I want to make sure this is what has to be done.  And I have not missed a note to correct this.

           Go to transaction "SE16N" and enter table "VBUK" and give the delivery number in the field sales document number. Now you type "&SAP_EDIT" in the transaction bar and execute. Here you can change the status(Total goods movement). And see If you can actually bill the document. Kindly please let me know If you need any more information on this.

    VBUK-LFSTK ((Delivery status)
    VBUK-PKSTK (Overall packing status of all items)
    VBUP-LFSTA (Delivery status)
    VBUP-PKSTA (Packing status of item)

  • Packing the inbound delivery

    Hi all
    I am following a template which mentions
    1)perform a goods recpt.(MIGO/ 'other'), with some system relevant data
    2)pack the inbound delivery (vl32n)
    afaik , by executing step 1, we get a Material document #, but step 2 needs an inbound delivery. so where did this happen between point 1 & 2 ?
    or is the  inbound delivery mentioned somewhere in the mat. doc ?

    my situation is:
    - a WM managed warehouse, society A;
    - a HU managed warehouse (without WM), society B;
    - a purchasing process of HU from society A towards society B.
    Society B have a scheduling agreement; when a delivery schedule appears, in society A born a sales order and a delivery. After the registration of the delivery good issue, an idoc transfer information for inbound delivery creation.
    This process is ok without WM, but with a WM managed warehouse the idoc has the following problem:
    "V51VP - item was not found - process cancelled".
    Can you help me to transfer these HU?

    Hi,
    User is going to pack mateiral in the delivery
    Material qty is say 10000 kg having 20 Batches of 500 kg each.
    But User want to pack 800 kg per Pallet [packaging material]

    in the same transaction VL01n u can also do packing. on application tool bar u have a button <b>PACK(shift+F6)</b>
    or choose this menu path.
    <b>EDIT -> PACK</b>
    u choose shipping materials and the items here for packing

  • Print Packing List from Delivery at Goods Issue

    We are facing an issue with our packing list for a division we are going live with in three weeks.  Our current business process for our plants already on SAP is to create the Packing List when the Delivery is created, with timing code "3" in the Packing List output condition, but to not print it until the "Check-in" button is clicked with the Shipment in VT02N based on an activity profile.
    However, for the service shipments in this division going live August 1, we do not need to create a Shipment nor generate a Bill of Lading from VT02N.  We will post goods issue from the Delivery itself, and we want the Packing List to print at the time of Post Goods Issue from the Delivery.  We have an access sequence for these service Deliveries with Shipping Point/Distribution Channel/Delivery Type, so only Distribution Channel 02 Deliveries will have Goods Issue from the Delivery, but we are not sure how to get the Packing List to not print until Goods Issue.  Any advice would be appreciated.

    Go to IMG>Logistics Execution>Shipping> Basic Shipping Functions>Output Determination> Maintain Output Determination for Outbound Deliveries.
         Select the Procedure you are using and check the control data to find the Cond. Type you are executing at the moment of the Outbound Delivery.
         Check the fifth column and see you have plenty of options, check them out helped by an ABAP team member; if there is nothing already there, just ask him/her to create a new routine with the validation you need and set it there.
    This is the same that Joao is suggesting I just went a little bit more in details.

  • Packing data at delivery user exit or BADI time

    I create a delivery and enter associated packing data (handling units HU), then save the delivery.  At user exit time, the delivery header is available via XLIKP and the delivery items are available via XLIPS tables, but the packing data is not! 
    Now, program SAPMV50A has a table called CVEKP, whose structure is VEKPVB, the handling unit header, but this table is always empty.
    I thought I had a solution: instead of putting my custom logic in user exit MV50AFZ1, I tested putting my logic in the "Delivery Publish" BADI.  Supposedly, this one is executed after the commit work, and so I could then read table VEKP directly and get the handling units. No such luck!  Unfortunately, at the time the BADI is executed, the VEKP table may or may not be updated.  Even adding the WAIT option wasn't 100% effective.
    But these attempted workarounds still leaves the big question unanswered: "Where are the handling units data stored during execution of transaction VL01 or VL02"? 
    Anybody know?

    i have created inbound delivery, then i m trying to pack the items the system propose the packaging item but it does not pack,
    and no error message comes, is this any configure is missing.

    my problem is that i m trying to pack inbound delivery items, system determine the packing material but it doesn't generate any HU No. in addtion infomation message comes says
    No handling units were found for this document

  • Windows performance pack specific files?

    I would like to use the Java web start technology to deploy a java-based application using JMF to do the capture and sending of cam images. The problem is that in order to get a hold of the camera, I need to use the 'performace pack' version of the JMF.
    I understand that by using the windows-specific JMF files it can only be used on a Windows system, what I need to know is, what those files are, and how would I go about accessing them programmatically?

    I've installed both the all-Java and Win-perf packs separately before and found the difference to be some DLL files and additional classes. Don't know specifically abt capture devices, but some examples are renderers like GDIRenderer, DirectAudioRenderer which are win-specific.
    They're automatically registered during setup with JMF and requires no special programming to access. JMF just automatically picks the best available and appropriate, and creates them.

    scenario : process order goods receipt will be done to HU managed sloc. no WM inegration .
    inbound delivery will be created at the time of proces order GR.
    we will get HU number from legacy , we need to pack that HU in the inbound delivery  . there is no manual intervation .
    request you to please how can have the HU in the inbound delivery which FM or Badi can help me . also need to pack it .

    Use BAPI To crete external handling iunits in SAP.Get the Idoc from legasy system pass the HU information .
    Use BAPI HU Create it should work to update the handling units in delivery.

  • Error after HU packing in Outbound Delivery

    Hello All,
    I unpack existing Handling Unit (HU) in an outbound delivery in VL02n transaction and pack part of its quantity in new HU that I create on same screen. Now, while saving this delivery I get this error "Movement type 990 does not allow immediate confirmation". Even when I delete existing HU nd pack all its content in new one I get the same message while saving the delivery.
    Surprisingly for the same packing material and packed material in another outbound delivery I can do this operation without any error message.
    What can be the possible reason for this. Please help me out.
