I need to pad these fields with zero after the substring. How do I do that?
Current items is:

Here's a simple example:
SELECT LEFT('myString'+REPLICATE('0',10),10)
We're literally adding 10 0s to the end of the string, and then taking the 10 left most characters.
So, for your example:
drvLocCode = LEFT(case when Substring(EecLocation, 1, 2) = '28' and len(EecLocation) = 5 then Substring(EecLocation, 3, 3)
when Substring(EecLocation, 1, 2) = '28' and len(EecLocation) = 6 then Substring(EecLocation, 3, 4)

STRLEN will give me the lenght of the field but i need the offset of the last chararcter.
Your post gave me an idea though. I'm doing the following and it's working.
value = 'Thank You          '.
tmp    = '00000000000000'.
FIND REGEX `\w[ [:space:] ][ [:space:] ]` IN value MATCH OFFSET moff.
IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
   OVERLAY value+moff WITH tmp.
ENDIF.
The find looks for the last alphanumeric char and 2 spaces after it meaning the last alphanumeric char in the string.

Padding a value with zeros

Hi,
I am trying to pad a field with leading zeros during mapping. I am going from an IDOC to a flat file. Is there a function in the message mapping of XI that will help me do this?
For example: the value of "91423" is passed in to a field of length 10. i want the value to look like this on the flat file "0000091423".
Is this possible?

Hi Nathan,
yes this is possible:
one way - create a user defined function
with one input value (your field)
and check it's length and add (10 - length) zeros
second way - without user defined function
and use length and concat functions (build into graphical mapping functions) and if statement
if length = 9 then string concat 0
else if length = 8 then string concat 00 ...
the first way it better but if you don't want to use java you can use the second one

Message Mapping, filling field with 0 (zeros) on left

I need to fill a field with values that has variable lenght adding 0 (zeros) on the left, how can I do it ?
I'm using the LENGHT in message mapping, with value returned by LENGHT I use FIXVALUES to map the quantity of 0 (zeros) that I need to add in the field.

Hi Regis,
You can use the Arithmetic:FormatNum built-in function for this.
If you want to left-pad the number with zeros so that the length is always 10, then specify 10 zeros for the format, 0000000000.
This function takes formats based on java.text.DecimalFormat so you can see all of the possibilities at:

Text field with autocomplete is always NULL

Greetings,
I am new to Apex so I am sure I am missing something obvious. I am using Apex 4.0.1 What I have done is created a form on a table page and added a new text with autocomplete page item. This new text field does not correspond to a column in the table. What I am trying to do is allow the user to use the autocomplete item to make a selection. Then when the user submits the page, I want to use the substr function on the value in the autocomplete field and populate one of the table fields. I have tried using PL/SQL functions in validations and computations but I have found that the value of the autocomplete field is always NULL. I can access the other fields that are associated with a table column fine. It must be something simple. Thanks for your help.

How to pad a string with zeros.. is there a direct method i can use.
eg:
string length is 8
string is custnumb
value is 588
but i would like to see 00000588
please suggest.

You can simply move it to a TYPE n field also.
data: n(8) type n.
data: custnumb(8) type c value '588'.
n = custnumb.
custnumb = n.

Dreamweaver CC crashes when moving a DIV field with the keyboard arrows.

I'm really fond of the new Dreamweaver CC, but on some occasions, it crashes when moving a DIV field with the keyboard arrows, for example, to move it two or three pixels.
This is happening on a recent pc (i5 / 16Gb ram / Intel SSD / Bootcamped Windows 8 x64)
F12 is also really slow when publishing via Chrome. Firefox or Internet Explorer is faster.
Is there a fix for these issues?

Apart from the FluidGrid Layouts feature, DW is not a click and drag app like Photoshop or Muse. You should be using the CSS panels to align elements with floats, margins and padding.
Keep Chrome open and refresh browser (F5).

Error while adding a custom field with Input help via AET

Hi All,
I need to add two custom field under Service orders at Item level in component BT140I_SRVP.
One field is required to have the input search help f4 and autopopulates the second field
I am able to add one field(not requiring help) successfully through AET .
I have created one Zsearch_help in se11 and its successfully running and Autopopulating seocnd field while I am testing it
While adding second field through AET,I need to enter following details as -
field label,search relevant ,serach help etc.
When I type the name of my 'Zsearch_help' against field search help it gives me following error
'Search help is not compatible'.
Secondly,not getting getter and setter methods for the attrributes in BTAdminI.
Last,please tell me if i create zhelp and activate it,would it automatically appear in the list on AETwhile assiging it to input field?
Please help me out.Kindly be detailed as I am new to SAP CRM.

Help, please - I need a box to pop-up when user hovers over a field with their mouse??

I created a form with several drop-down fields / questions. I would like to create a box that pops up when the person who is filling out the form hovers over the question/ field with his or her mouse. The box would contain additional information about the question that the person might consider before they select the answer. I don't want to clutter the form (and not all form-filler-outers will want or need to see the additional information) so I want it to pop up when the person hovers over the question with their mouse.
Can someone provide some help with how I can do this?

To follow on from radzmar, here is a summary of the features that are available/restricted depending on how you deploy your form.
There are two ways to apply Reader rights, one is using Acrobat Standard (v9) or Acrobat Professional (v8). The other is using an Adobe server product called LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES2.
You don't need script to apply the Reader rights to your form. Once you have applied the rights, users with Reader will be able to save the data in the form, however there may still be other restrictions in place, like attaching documents to the form or exporting XML data.

How can I have two fields with the same name if it makes sense?

Hello, folks :)
I have a pretty hard time figuring out how I can have two text fields with the same binding name.
The whole problem is that when I need two fields with the same binding name they are still differnent coz they have the same name but differnt indices.
I should make a form filled at runtime by merging a pdf form file and an fdf file data file. And I have no choice to do it differently. And my form file needs some data like customerName, companyName twice in one form. But there's only one possible buinding name indexed zero.
How can I create a field with absolutely the same name or is it just impossible due to possible name conflicts? And is there a workaround to this problem? I just need one piece of data repeated in different places.

One pdf should be mergred with an fdf with as the result of their merge a new filled and flattened form. I have no control over fdfs their are generated by Oracle and I can not fill the form using XML files coz this process should be integrated in a working application.

I just thought about a really ugly workaround with a server-side script adding values to fdf files but it's a bit of work and tests and personally i think it's a bad idea :-(

Field with a default value from another field

I need to populate a field as the default value from another field that the user inputs. I've tried the scripting that I found from the below Topic in the Archived Forums, but I'm not able to make it work. I've tried numerous variations and still to no avail. I tried to make the scripting work in Acrobat 6 and then decided that maybe I needed to upgrade, so I'm now trying it in Acrobat 8 with no results. Can anyone help?

I put it in at document level to start, but it didn't run the script automatically when date1 was first filled in, so I have put it in as a mouse exit action in date1 and it works a treat.

Okay forget what I posted above and lets start over. Go to your first field and under Properties -> Actions Tab -> Select Trigger -> On Blur Run A JavaScript.
Put this:
this.getField("myField2").value = event.target.value;
Make sure that you replace ("myField2") with the actual name of your second field. I just tested this and it works for Acrobat version 6.

No I want to add the gaps between the months...
Is it possible to count the following gaps between the different rows...?

This adds all following fields cumulative from beginning to current_row. But I need this adding only for the following gaps... then start with countin by 0.
I need only the following like in the example on top. Maybe is there an other function like decode to count only the following gaps...!?
