Page background images show in preview but not after uploading

Hi -
I've built a page with a flash animation, and some other
minimal information below the movie. I have a page background image
that should be repeating horizontally behind everything. When I
preview it, all looks great! After I upload it to the actual site
the background images disappear. The code is all within the page.
Any ideas?

never mind... problem resolved.
my error in not checking my files over. oops.

I created a page with FW CS3 and opened it with Dream weaver.
Using Flash CS3 I created some video clips. I then inserted three
video files to the web page. In DW preview mode I can see the
videos. I copy the source code and pasted it to the index page of
my website as well as uploaded all the sit files from my hard drive
folder to the website. The page comes up but not the videos.

Swap images works in preview but not in browser

Hi everyone,
I am attempting to get a swap images to work. It works in the preview window but not when I preview it in the browser. When I open it in a browser the states seem to "cycle" through really quickly in rapid succession. I have linked my png file for you to see. Any thoughts?

Your swap image slice is set to Animated GIF. Change it in the Optimize panel to plain GIF or PNG 8

Effect works in the preview, but not after export. (10.1.1)

Hi all.
I am new to FCP, making a simple slide show movie with some Ken Burns images, music and titles. For one image there is some color correction, Ken Burns, and I want the image to fade from Black and White to Color. I did this by adding the Black and White effect, choosing "show video animation" in the timeline and making the B&W effect gradually decrease. It works perfectly in the preview, but when I share the video, the effect is always missing (it just stays B&W). I have tried:
Undoing and redoing the effect
Exporting to different formats
Turning off background rendering and deleting render files
to no avail. Any thoughts?

I'm hoping to avoid updating until after this movie is delivered. I find it best not to tinker with stable software mid-project. Maybe if I get desperate enough I'll give it a whirl, though.

Site Displays Perfectly in DW Preview But Not When Uploaded

Hi,
I have a site which displays fine in IE, both the CSS and
XHTML validate and when I use the FF preview in looks just fine.
However when I upload the site to the server, the footer and a
couple of images are missing and I'm just can't figure out why. All
the paths are correct but I just can't figure out why it displays
correctly in the preview FF and it's not when uploaded and viewed
in FF. Site diplays in IE without any problems via preview or
upload.
Any help?

Preloader works in Flash, but not after upload

Hi all. I'm having problems with a preloader. When I test the
preloader in Flash (using the simulate download option) it works
like a charm. I publish and upload the file to the server...and
when you visit the site, you just get a blank white page until
everything is loaded. I have included the code. Please
remember...it works correctly when simulating a download in Flash,
but it does not work at all after upload. Any ideas?

Naw...didn't work. I'm use CS3 and all the preloaders I ever
did (using the same code) in CS2 worked fine. I'm creating the .swf
using Actionscript 2.0 (not 3.0). Is there a problem when the
document gets published with CS3 which would stop the preloader
from working on the server?

Highlight boxes show in preview but not in published work - Captivate 5

Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me with this as I'm utterly confused at the moment. I'm working on a software simulation and have been working alot with highlight boxes. I have done at least 3 modules (25-60 slides each) with highlighting and haven't had a problem until now. My problem is that I can't get the highlight boxes to show up on the published document. This is only for 1 single slide! All the rest work!! When I preview in the program the boxes show up and work perfectly but they don't show up in the published doc. I have duplicated slides and rerecorded that specific slide and nothing works. Any theories??

The image isn't crystal clear, but it would appear the top element is a Click Box configured to pause the slide at 1.5 seconds? Again it's difficult to see because it's not exactly clear, but it would also appear that your highlight boxes aren't configured to present until about 6 seconds in. So in this case it would seem the Click Box is pausing the slide too soon. Try adjusting the timing of the Click Box.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Photo shows in preview but not in camera roll 5s

I take a picture with my iphone 5s and I see the photo in the preview. When I go to click the preview, it goes to my camera roll and I can't see the photo I just took. I do see the previous picture.

Site works in preview but not when uploaded to the web

I have been trying to add a link from my website to another project I have been doing, a mini site made with Flash.
I wanted the link to open up a new window with the animation playing inside, and it works perfectly when I use "preview in safari" within dreamweaver, but now I've uploaded to the web it just opens up a blank window.

If anyone knows how to get this working I'd be very grateful! It's for a uni project due in this afternoon :S

I think you may be having a problem with how Flash is displayed. The Flash on the first page doesn't display in IE8... although it does in Chrome. The second page doesn't display in either. Your link is correct. I checked that.
Wish I could be more helpful, I'm having the same issue with IE and DW CS4 myself, and can't figure it out.

Template Works in Dreamweaver Preview But Not After It's Published...

I am running CS5.5 on a Mac. I have been working on this website, and everything was working fine. I would preview the site in Firefox and everything looked great so I pubished it. Now, the content shows up, but the template doesn't (on any browser I've treid, Chrome, Firefox, Safari). I am new to Dreamweaver and need help!

What do you mean by "the template doesn't"? You do know that DW Templates have no function except within DW, right? You can upload them if you want to share them with someone else, but DW's Templates only affect the local files, each of which must then be uploaded. Is that what's confusing you?

Text visible in preview but not when uploaded.

I'm designing a mobile site in Muse.
The fonts I'm using are from the Museo family through Typkit.
I've uploaded the site a few times during the design process and had no trouble with text frames or text appearing.
Yesterday I added a new text frame in one section to link to a phone number and now sections of text are not visible when I upload the site. It is, however visible in the Muse preview!?
I've tried creating the text boxes from scratch but they still disappear in that particular section of the site.
Does anyone know why this is!?
The pale grey line is the text box where the text should appear.

It works fine at my end, please try clear browser cookies/cache and then check. If possible, check this on a different device and see how that goes.

ah ha sorted - seems to have something to do with relative
links. Changing site root relative links to document relative links
has done the trick.

We are works on the Server(Linux). There ara many pictures and Text Files (tif, jpeg, rtf, doc, txt etc.) in server folders.
     On the 2 iMac (Mountain Lion)
          Text files in the folder have viewed normal(optimum) time. But Pictures in the folder have viewed very slow and very long time.Because showing pictures icon (show icon preview) very slow on the Mountain Lion. We tried List View/ColumnView.We have waited very long time(for pictures in the folder) when we selected a folder every time.
          We unchecked show icon preview but still showed icon previews, icon preview (thumbnail) can not disable, We tried "Finder preferences", "View > Show View Options > Show icon preview(unchecked)" and "Show icon column(unchecked)" but still "Show icon preview(checked)" and "Show icon column(checked)"
     On the Power PC G4, Mac pro or iMac (Leopar/snow Leopar or Tiger)
          Everythings ok. There isn't any problem. Text files and Pictures in the folder have viewed normal(optimum) time
This problem only on the Mountain Lion, on the other OS (Leopar/snow Leopar or Tiger) no problem.
How to resolve this problem?

Good news: I found a solution.
Start iTunes, remove all your voice memos from your library (back them up if you need them), quit iTunes. Restart Finder. Done. I hope that helps!

Is the Skin externalised? If so, perhaps Flash Global Security is interfering:
