Page Cannot Display Error on Trays Layout

Hi,
Version : 10gR3
We get page can't display error on Trays layout for showing homepage when we connect UCM. But, it works fine with Top Menus layout.
The Properties window, shows a URL: res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm#https://host.domain....
No problem happens with Top menus
Error reported in apache logs:
[Thu Apr 26 11:39:08 2012] [error] [client 194.66.183.99] Invalid method in request \x16\x03\x01
please help.
cheers,
J

Highly odd.
We get page can't display error on Trays layout for showing homepage when we connect UCM. But, it works fine with Top Menus layout.The default layout is Trays. If you don't see a page when you log in, how are you changing the layout to Top Menus? A link to the user profile page isn't available if the Trays layout didn't appear. Are there some customizations in place that affect the UI?
Please note that the error accurs only at the time of connecting UCM (first attept), Once we got into UCM and then if i click in home or search (from UCM menu) it works fine and it displays the page correctly. So are you saying that once you hit the refresh button, the issue goes away?
If you change the skin, do you see the same problem? Try changing the skin from Oracle to Oracle2 for the affected user.
A lot of the UI is generated in JavaScript. The script that builds the Trays layout is different from the script that builds the Top Menus layout, and the skins themselves add another level. I'd start by clearing your browser cache and seeing if the issue persists. If it doesn't, I'd suggest going into weblayout, and delete the trays directories for the affected skin. Then republish static and dynamic files, and see if the issue persists.

  • OID Self Service Console - Page Cannot Found error

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle Collaboration Suite and facing problem while creating a user. I navigated to the OID Self Service Console and signed in successfully with orcladmin user. After successfull login as I click on Directory Tab to create user then Page Cannot be displayed typical browsing error appears. I cannot find whats wrong. Infrastructrue and middle tier components all are up and seem working fine.
    I cannot find way to deal with Page Cannot Found error. Please help
    Regards,
    Sami

    Try typing in the URL yourself in the address location. Do you observe the same behavior?
    If the forward-slash at the end still makes a difference, then verify that you have not modified your httpd.conf on the infrastructure instance.
    Here, check if your HTTP Server had any redirection rules or any aliases setup in the httpd.conf in your infrastructure. The trailing forward-slash / is generally meaningful in those places.
    Also note if you see the same problem with other targets too. for instances, sso-login server.

    Hi,
    I have successfully install Oracle Application R12 on Window Server 2003. Yesterday everything looking good until I try install APEX 3.0 on it.

    Help me. Does anyone know what mistake i have made? How i fix it, so I can login to my apps again. Have you install APEX on Oracle Application R12 instance? I need some guidance to install APEX on my Apps.

  • Page Not displayed error upon Session Expiry in Solari Environment

    Hi All,
    I have a web application deployed in Solaris environment.
    Session expiry is handled from the application.
    I have this code for session expiry in my filter class:
    ((HttpServletResponse) _response).sendRedirect("/myapp/view/sessionExpired.jsp");
    When this code is executed Im getting "Page Cannot be Displayed " error is thrown.
    The same scenario works fine windows environment.
    Im facing this issue when it is on Solaris environment.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Cheers,
    Shorath

    I am using basic in my local environment. When we deploy to DEV/QA/PROD server, it will be SSO enabled. The requirement is, when user clicks on Ok button on session expired popup, it should just stay(refresh) on the same page with the pretty URL. Currently it refreshes the page with full URL.
    URL in Browser before session expiry: http://localhost:7101/MyApp/faces/page1
    URL in Browser after session expiry(click ok on popup, refreshes the same page): http://localhost:7101/MyApp/faces/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/page1.jspx

  • Home page -- The page cannot display (port?)

    Hi!
    When I installed the Oracle Database XE 10g it didn't ask me for a port number.
    When it was installed and complete then it asked me if i wanted to open the database home page. I marked the checkbox and pushed finish, an internet window opened and tolled me that the page couldn't be displayed. The address was http://127.0.0.1:8080. I tried localhost:8080 and computername:8080.
    But they didn't work. when i removed the port number then my default startpage at IIS showed up, which is normal.

    Jes:
    A user first has to access the htmldb XE homepage in order to complete the registration required to access the XE-specific user forum. So, how does one post to the XE forum if they are unable to first register for it? This forum is therefore the most logical remaining option in such a case.
    I, by the way, am having the same exact problem as Snakes above (unable to access port 8080); and, have attempted the same fixes to no avail. Mike's post below, while very helpful, did not solve the problem (all services are already running properly). I've read all the available XE docs, and can access XE via sqlplus (cmd-line). I would appreciate any help which anyone here might suggest. Thank you.

  • Page cannot be displayed - No Web Dispatcher - Only ICM running

    Hi,
    Our training system is a ‘SAP ERP Central Component 5.0’, on a WAS 6.40 platform. There is only the Central instance running with all processes available, including ICM. The Dispatcher is NOT configured.
    When entering following url, results in 'Page Cannot Displayed'error message:
    ===============================
    http://<virtual-FQDN>:<port>/sap/bc/bsp/sap/hrrcf_start_int?sap-
    client=230&BspClient=230&sap-
    language=EN&BspLanguage=EN&rcfSpId=9001&rcfContext=MCC
    <b>The 'Page cannot be displayed'error occurs FOR ALL SERVICES.</b> The above url was working before and as far as everyone here knows, there have been no changes.
    The following url ping tests were SUCCESSFUL. These were typed directly into the Internet Explorer Address:
    ==================================================
    http://<virtual-FQDN>:<port>//sap/bc/ping?sap-client=200
    and
    http://<virtual-FQDN>:<port>//sap/bc/ping?sap-client=230
    and
    http://<virtual-FQDN>:<port>//sap/bc/ping
    However, performing the ping test from Tx SICF, results in an error.  For some reason, the url resolves to Physical-FQDN for teh hostname.  However, when changing hostname to the Virtual-FQDN, then Ping works.  (Not sure why the Physical-FQDN is not working)
    Also testing the service ‘hrrcf_start_int’ from Tx SICF, results in the same ‘Page cannot be displayed’ error.  (Same for all services)
    From Tx SE80, INTERNAL has been selected for Publishing.
    Service has been activated.
    Have run program SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL from Tx SE38.  Services has also been deactivated and activated from Tx SICF.  None of this has helped resolve the error.
    Some ICM parameters as follows:
    icm/server_port_0     = PROT=HTTP,PORT=8012
    icm/host_name_full    = <virtual-FQDN>
    As mentioned before, the url was working some 2 weeks back, but for some reason is no longer working.

    Sanjay

    Hi Dezso,
    Thanks for your suggestion.
    The issue is now being resolved.  The problem was as follows:
    Previously the on-site Consultancy had configured one of the Transport Consolidation routes from DEV to TRN.  (This has now been reconfigured so that TRN as well as PRD are the TARGET routes from QA system.
    However, previously ABAP Support Packages were applied to DEV & QA.  (& not to TRN).  Then a Developer transported the SPAU transport through the landscape and it obviously went to the TRN server.  (Transport was not imported into Production).
    So TRN had no SPs applied, but the transport had been imported into TRN due to landscape setup.
    Now the problem is due to an object that concerns authentication which was overwritten by the transport in TRN.  (Preventing user authentication).  We have a work around in that we can send the users directly through the ITS via a url, they can then authenticate and then they copy and paste the url they are using in the IE Address space.  After logging on, the IE session is still holding the session cookie, so no need to authenticate again after copying the url the user wants to use.  (I hope this makes sense?  No sure how better to describe this).
    The longer term solution will be apply the SPs also to TRN and then apply the SPAU transport to TRN and it should then be fine.

    Sanjay

    Hi,
    I'm new to BSP. I had created a simple BSP application with the following URL.
    http://default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/<package>/<application name>
    When I executed from my browser it's working fine. But when I execute the same URL from some other system, it shows an error message 'page cannot displayed'.

    Yes Raja's right.
    And, you can check FQDN for your server and host entry in your system.

    Hi,
    The issue was due to the time out parameters for ICM being on the lower side.Could anyone throw some light on the below paramters as to how it effects the portal.
    We are not getting the error all the time only when the user executes it for more than 15 days.

  • Web Dynpro-layout preview-Error-IE cannot display-service in SICF activated

    Hello,
    By starting a view in web dynpro framework, i have the error in tab layout "page cannot be displayed" from IE.
    Before i make the change in the DNS and system32/../etc, the layout was displayed, but the web dynpro application cannot be started.
    Now after those configurations and activation of services in SICF, i can start the web application only with firefox and not internet exploer, and, that internet explorer is preconfigured for the layout preview, i recieve all times the eror "cannot display" when i start a view in the layout tab.
    1. How can i change settings so that view can be displayed in layout after i actived the (hope the suitables i.e. view designer) services in SICF - Default_host...
    2. Is it possible to change IE to firefox as main browser for layout tab.
    Note: For virtual domain i
    1. add dns "domain.com" in the DNS
    2. add in system32/etc/host file to "127.0.0.1 localhost",    "10.10.0.10 sysserv.domain.com"
    3. and trough tr. rz10 in the instance profil input the icm/.... ....domain.com
    Through this three steps i could get the web dynpro application started,
    but from the other side, the layout preview do not display the view again
    and just send error the message: "THIS PROGRAM CANNOT DISPLAY THE WEBPAGE"

    Hi,
    The string is not correctly formed ( a quote and a concatenation ) :
    Your url :
    v_url:=nvl(v_rep_port,'http://'||v_rep_HOST ||':'||v_rep_port||')||'/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||substr(v_rep,instr(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server='||v_rep_svr;
    The Correction :
    v_url:=nvl(v_rep_port,'http://'||v_rep_HOST ||':'||v_rep_port)||'/reports/rwservlet/getjobid'||substr(v_rep,instr(v_rep,'_',-1)+1)||'?'||'server='||v_rep_svr;

  • Page cannot be displayed' error when 2 events (FireAction and GO) fired

    We have created a framework page where FireAction event will be executed
    when the value of a calendar item is modified. When we modify the
    value and leave the cursor in the field (without tabbing out), and click
    GO button, 'Page cannot be displayed' error message will be displayed.
    When FireAction event is started, we use CO to retrieve the event. And
    when the cursor remains in item1 after being modified and click GO,
    2 events will be started (the FireAction event and the GO button's event)
    and 'Page cannot be displayed' error will be shown since CO is retrieving
    2 events at the same time.
    Since by changing certain fields of framework page without tabbing out
    is a regualar operation, how can we go around this error when we are
    using FireAction event?

    Shive...good one..!!
    One thing that you can do if you don't wanna have PPR, is to validate date column in fire action event in CO in process form request, and raise an error if you don't find appropriate format or null , as per your requirement.
