Page flashes like lightning

I have a page with a standard dreamweaver 8 template and have
a couple of flash buttons along the top of the page. When I quickly
run the cursor over the sidebar links the page flickers and
flashes, but when I click on the flash buttons to activate them
(because microsoft in their wisdom wants everyone to ask if they
want a flash button to work first - which means you click and then
click again to get the flash button effect and link to work.) - the
page flashing effect stops. What the....?

You know how risky Flash buttons are, right?
Those who don't have Flash will see nothing. Search engines
can't see the
links. Assistive devices don't see them either. It just
depends on how
many, and which people/bots you want to exclude from your
site....

Flash Player is causing my Web Pages to flash like crazy Need help!

I need help, I'm running a computer with Windows 98 4.10.1998
and Running Internet Explorer ver. 6.0.2800.1106IC
I had some problems I have fix eveything but when I got to a

Already checked the Event Viewer. The only thing I could find is this critical level event
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
This only happens when I am running a flash video in IE10. In Chrome everything works fine. I downgraded flash player to 11.4 but with no luck.
From the event viewer, the reboots started from sometime in september.(this is my parents' pc)
I think I found the problem. I changed my video card, a 9600GT, a few months ago with a GT630. I switched back to the 9600GT, and it looks like the issue is not happening any more. But it's still verry ackward for the issue to happen only on IE10.
I'm still testing to be sure that the video card is the problem.

How to export swf file in different versions of flash like (6,7,8,9) ?

    System Specification :
    -XP with SP3
    -MS Office 2003
    -Flash V.10
    -Xcelsius Engage 2008 ( 5.3.0.0 )
    -Xcelsius Build number 12,3,0,670
   When I export output in swf format then xcelsius generating swf file of version 9. I want to export swf file in different versions of flash like (6,7,8,9) . I tried to install older versions of flash to do this but I am not able to open xcelsius in older version. I am getting error saying 'Install latest flash player'.
Is there any way to export swf files in different versions?
Is this build is compatible with only flash 10?

Xcelsius only support Flash version from 9 on. There is no way to export to 6,7 or 8.

Firefox 4.0 The menus flash like a keyboard key is held down. Can't access them even with all plugins turned off. Same issue on multiple machines with different versions of Windows. How can this be resolved?

FF 4.0. The menus flash like a key is being held down making them inaccessible. The problem persists with all plugin's turned off. Firefox box in top left corner not showing. The old FF logo show there instead.

Turning off hardware acceleration worked in all cases.
With hardware acceleration enabled the menu flashing did not occur on the primary display, only the secondary display of a two-monitor system.
Windows 7, ATI Radeon 4800 series.

Word 2011 for Mac interface flashes like crazy when trying to save a document

The interface in Word for Mac 2011 flashes like a strobe light and is barely responsive when I'm trying to save a document. Is there a solution to this problem? I'm sorry I paid $219 for Office for my new Air. Thanks for any help or suggestions you

How to create a region which should float in a page .
ie i can move that region inside that page anywhere like as windows calculator.

You can use a jQuery dialog.

e.g. create html region, just say you give the region static id: floating-region, make it hidden by adding attributes: style="display: none;"then do like: $('#floating-region).dialog();

Nasty page flash on swf pop up in IE 7 - fix?

I know that it works on IE 7, but when you
rollover the "71 countries," the entire page has a nasty
flash to it as the
pop up is activated - in other words, the whole browser
window for a split
second flashes...that's not supposed to happen and doesn't
happen on any
browser except IE 7.
Would love a fix. Anyone?

you need to check whether '''jdownloader''' is compatible with the Firefox version you are using.

I'd like to be able to create a presentation with Pages and save it to CD.
Is there a Windows based Pages Viewer, like PowerPoint Viewer, that I could add to the CD to view the presentation on a Windows machine?

why don't you use Keynote for the presentation, because it is made for that purpose?
You can export a Pages document to PDF and that Windows user can watch with the Acrobat Reader. Pages documents can only be read with Pages on Macs. With Keynote you can export simple presentations to Powerpoint files so Windows user can watch the presentation as that. And more general you can export a Keynote file to a (clickable = interactive) QuickTime movie, so all can watch it, because the QuickTime player is free for Mac and for Windows.

Are you talking about two regions side-by-side? You could try applying "Reports Region 100% Width" report template on both regions, and making the 2nd region having Column 2. This way both will display side-by-side with 100% width.

Custom brushes in Flash like Photoshop?

I just started using Flash for my animations and I want to ask if one can create custom brushes in Flash like Photoshop?
Also I imported an embeded video avi into Flash and I want to reduce the opacity of the video so I can create a new layer over it and draw over the frames with the video as reference.I dragged the movie into the stage and converted to movie clip and reduced the opacity but its not showing on the stage when I go to the part of the video I want to draw over.
I use Flash CS3.
BTW,why isn't the bucket tool & selection tool like Photoshop?It makes shading colours problematic?or is it because its vector?

That's OK. It's because ScrollPane::content is of a type DisplayObject. DisplayObject does not contain property named scrollpaneBckgrnd. MovieClip, however, is a dynamic class and enables you to (try to) access virtually any property you can imagine. If it doesn't exist in your particular instance of a MovieClip, you'll get an runtime error.
P.S. If you have time can you briefly tell me why is there a line of code
in your sample:

ScrollPane::update() measures your content and sets scrollbars accordingly, if needed.
Can it be changed with the size specified for the mc_pane2:

what would be the major difference between them?
They definitelly don't do the same. ScrollPane::setSize() sets size of your scrollpane If you get same results using one or the other function, it's because your content is smaller than 556x300px and you don't need scrollbars so in this particular case ScrollPane::update() would "do nothing".

Download dictionary within Kindle app causes Notification red LED flashes like crazy

I'm not sure if it's a Kindle issue or BB10 OS issue, but it was kind interesting on my Z10 when it happened.
I've installed the Kindle app from appworld and I downloaded a free book, touch any content would prompt to download a dictionay for it, confirm it and the Notification red LED started to flash like crazy until the download was completed.

Pages continue to slide rather than flip for the horizontal orientation. In the vertical orientation, the text scrolls up-and-down like a web page (again as shown in iBooks Author if you change the previewed orientation). I'm not sure why Apple went with the different GUI for their textbooks, but its the same for the ones authored by the big publishers. If you want to see what the format is like on the iPad, there's a short free textbook (Wilson's Life on Earth) and sample chapters from others available from the iBookstore.
On a side note, one interesting thing about using texts in the two different orientations is that the formating changes as well. Figures that show up as larger embedded images in the horizontal layout are smaller images in the left margin in the vertical layout, at least in Wilson's book.

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
