Page Format different than doc

I have converted a pdf file to a word doc so I can insert into my document but the margins are different and the form is being cut off when I insert. I cannot change the margins on my document do to the large content. How can I get it to fit?

All our projects reside on a shared network drive. We both
have access to them. When I say "my PC" or "my partner's PC", I
mean that the project is open on my or my partner's PC. But it is
the same project, not a copy of the project.
We tried your suggestion, and both projects generated letter
size documents on my side, and A4 documents on her side.
Since my original post, we have reinstalled RH as suggested
on a different message board. This did not solve this problem. We
have checked and installed update files from the Adobe site - no
change. We've even had our techies poke around, but they couldn't
come up with anything.
Our only working solution so far is to generate the Word
document and change the page format manually. Which doesn't sound
too bad, except that 2 of our projects each require 17 different
pdf files - so it makes for a lot of manual attention as opposed to
a simple "Batch Generate".
As I wrote in my first post, I'm not sure if this is a RH
issue, so I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Index period separators are formatted differently than rest of entry

Has anyone else experienced periods or other index separators that are not formatted according to the index level style that is applied to the entry? Even though the index paragraph style is regular typeface with no baseline shift, ID insists on formatting my "See also" period separators as bold, with a -1 pt. baseline shift. Weird. Any help would be appreciated, as it does make those entries look odd.

Thanks for the tip, Fred. I checked and there WAS a character style applied, just to the Before Cross Reference separator. ID is applying my Page Number style, even though it was not specified anywhere in the Level styles or Index styles.
I'm not sure how to fix that, so I may just change the page number style so that it's not bold and doesn't have the baseline shift, and format my page numbers with a different style. More than one way to skin a cat...

Page preview different than live view

My new page looks fine in preview, but once I upload it to the server, the layout is wrong, and the page looks completely different. I get an error saying Some files on the server may be missing or incorrect. Clear browser cache and try again. If the problem persists please contact website author. Please help? Thanks!

URL page is differant than home page

Ok, here is the problem; when I type in my URL an old page
comes up. I updated this page in dw 8 and uploaded it, I know its
up because if you hit the 'home' button on the site the new and
updated page comes up. You can try it at www.mushhusky.com and up
will come the old page (which I can't find in my files on dw). Then
click 'School Assemblies' or the Mushhusky logo at the top and up
will come a different page. Can anyone help

Animate 2014 sprite sheet import different than docs

Importing from just an image creates a single symbol. Importing with the help of an .eas file creates individual symbols. The docs say both processes create separate symbols - which isn't really helpful. Under what circumstances would I want separate symbols created for a sprite?
It would be a cool feature to import individual symbols defined in an .eas file if it wasn't sprite data.

There are 2 types of SpriteSheet can you can import into Animate CC 2014:
1) Created from Flash Professional
In this case you have a Image File and a corresponding metadata file(.eas) which has information on how the sprites are arranged.
From Flash, you can select multiple symbols(having animations) and export as a single spritesheet. These Flash Pro individual symbols has different sprite sequence names in the .EAS and are therefore imported as individual symbols when they get imported into Animate. You can refer to the SpriteSheet lesson in Animate CC 2014 which has .eas file having these multiple symbols imported.
If you export only one symbol as a SpriteSheet from Flash Pro, then you will get only one symbol animation in Animate too.
While Importing the Import SpriteSheet dialog in Animate will show you the number of sequences that are present in the imported .eas file.
Some cases where you may want this single spritesheet for multiple symbols:
If you encapsulate multiple animations in a single sprite-sheet the number of round trips when you composition is viewed in the browser does get reduced therefore improving the overall performance for your content
But one aspect to note is to not have a very huge spritesheet image size(2k * 2k) which will make it non-performant on mobile devices
Currently there is no option to select the sequence within a .eas file at import time. That is a good suggestion and will be a good enhancement for this feature.
2) Image only SpriteSheet which has same sized images tiled in order
In this case, there is no metadata associated with it and therefore when imported after specifying the row/column/padding options; you always get only a single symbol created in Animate as part of the import process.

Is Labview Bitmap format different than Windows?

I have an issue with my bitmap images (depth bit of 1) saved with LabView and a brady printer I'm sending them too with a Serial VISA.
I have a VI to create a barcode image and save it as a bitmap. I'm just using the simple graphics Write BMP File VI after a Picture to Pixmap VI. The file looks just fine if opened in MS Paint. Yet when I send it to the printer as a file, it's all garbage.
If I use the same VI to save the bitmap (depth bit of 4) then open it with MS Paint, then save it as depth bit of 1. I use the same print VI as before, the file prints beautifully.
If I open the bitmap created by my VI (depth bit 1) and the equal on saved by MS Paint in Notepad I see they are not the same.
Admittedly I don't know a lot about file structure so probably don't know that I'm doing but any friendly advice would be appreciated. I'll attach the files with a .txt extension so that I can post them.

I see a couple differences in the files.
The LV bitmap is almost twice as large as the MS Paint bitmap. Opening them up in Notepad, the crazy characters look different. The LV bitmap has a long line of spaces at the end of the file, probably why the file is longer.
I opened both images in LV using the Read Bitmap File and looked at the image cluster. Both have the same number of pixels (1872) and both have 2 image colors and an image depth of 1. However for the colors, LV has color 0 as 1677721 and color 1 as 0. MS paint bitmap is the reverse. LV pixel 0 is 0 and MS Paint pixel 0 is 255. (Possibly explained by the different order in the colors?)
The 2 images look a lot alike in a LabVIEW picture control and in Paint, but the MS paint bitmap has more black pixels making up the characters as compared to the LV bitmap.
Why the 2 files are inherently different, I don't know. But perhaps those differences explain why the printer is treating them differently.

Published page looks different than iweb page

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with one of the pages on my site. I placed shaded shapes behind text and although everything looks aligned in the iweb program, when I publish it one of the pages(adults) shows the text very misaligned.
What is bugging me is that it only happens on that page, no where else.
I have cleared the cache, re-made the page, as well as other options but cannot figure out why this is happening.Maybe someone here can help me out.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try adding the text to the shape itself. Ddouble click on the shape and start typing. You can then set the color and other font attributes. and removing it from the main text box, just leaving space so the shape will fit in. That probably is the quickest and easiest way to straighten out the issue.
You can also inset the shape into the text box at the location of the cursor by using the Insert->Shape menu option. Once the shape is inserted you can set its properties and add the text. It will then move with the text if you do any editing.

Published Page Looks different than designed in IWeb

It's the oddest thing... I designed the site, using a blank template and building it from scratch. Every page displays fine, except for this one. It looks perfect in IWeb, but when published, even to my desktop folder, certain parts of two text boxes are transparent, showing the background behind it.

It appears that on the About the Camp page your text boxes don't have the fill enabled as they do in the other pages letting the page background show thru. Try clearing the text boxes and reapplying the fill. Or copy a text box from another page, replace the text with that of a problem box and see if that will fix it.
Another general fix would be to close iWeb, delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, reboot the computer and try again.

WinXP versions of Firefox don't have the Firefox button like with Windows Vista and WIn7, because with XP the default is to show the Menu Bar. The Firefox button appears when the Menu Bar is not being shown.
Right-click a blank spot on the Menu Bar ''(to the right of Help)'', and de-select Menu Bar by clicking on that contextual menu item.

Export / save a page as pdf / rtf / doc format

hi all,
i've created a page that looks similar to a resume format. i used different pl/sql regions and used the htp.p package to create the page like in html format. now i need to have an option to export / save the page as rdf or doc or rtf format. is it possible to do this?

Maybe that can inspire you for you needs. I don't think pdf-export is possible this way though.

The entire solution would be too large and complex to post. Here are some pointers to get you going. One alternative is to use BI/XML Publisher to create the output document and launch it from a button on the page (PeopleCode and Derived/Work record). Another alternative is to use Apache POI to generate a doc and iText to generate PDF. Customers have used all of these approaches.

2 questions in one - merging pages from different docs/ and new templates

As the title says really:
1. I had a problem with page two of a doc, so i have two docs, one for p1 and 1 for p2 - what's the best way to merge them? I don't want to lose any formatting on either one of any sort, just end up with a two page doc of merged info.
2. Is there an online place to find new iweb templates either free or inexpensive? Maybe a user forum where people share templates?

1. Best thing to do is do View>Show Page Thumbnails. Select the page you want to copy from one document to the other. Edit>Copy then move to your other document and paste it in. Be aware that Pages will have to fit your content to the destination document. So global things like the document margins etc. need to be the same. If they are not, you may find that some extra work is required to get the formatting right.

According to me, you have to create 2 smartforms, one in DINA4 and other in LETTER format.
In your driver program, you have to maintain condtion depending on country code.
if country code = 'ZA12'.
call fm <--- DINA4 format
else.
call fm <--- LETTER format
endif.
