Page formatting errors

It seems that the kudos page for the ideas exchange has some formatting errors:
The links for next page...previous page, seem to contain some internal label (simplepaging.next-page.title, etc.)

I installed language support on my Portal 3.0.9.8 with 3 different languages: us, i=italian, f
but when i use the "i" language there are many problems with format date ...
in the Portal Home Page i have a message like "date format not valid"

I have check my own data date format.
But when i tried to activate the cycle count under
Menu path:
Materials Management > Inventory Management and Physical Inventory>Physical Inventory> Cycle Counting
I will not put any date on it, that's why its weird that i get an date format error.
Where this error came from?

Error in setting up page format for Script.

Hi,
I have set up a customized page format.
I set up Page format, Format types and Device types.
I have throughly checked wit the other working formats, everthing seems right..
Page format : zmed_po - Portait
Format type : zmed_po
Error - No Printer font maintained for ZMED_PO.
Please help me out.

For this u need to setup the printer at OS level. There u need to setup the fonts and etc.. related to the printer. I hope this is eror from OS level...

Smart Form Error Page format 2 with orientation 1 unknown

I have created smart form with Page Format DINA4 (297x210). While executing the smart form i am getting error as "Page format 2 with orientation 1 unknown".

Same Attributes on each page only Next Page is in increment order.

Script: my requirement is to copy standard form and stanadrad prog to zprog and zform. and i want to add extra fields in form. for achiving i changed page format DINA4 Portrait to LETTER Landscape. i developed these things. it working fine in this server ( provided test data in this server).
now problem is they provided data in Test client in diffrent server. for testing purpose i download script by using RSTXSCRP progam and uploaded and i copied porgram also. but when i run the transaction in test client, giving error : error is Form zfi*** has incorrect page format.

I would check in SE71 to make sure the correct SAPscript layout is there and active.
You can check transaction SPAD. Be sure the LETTER in LANDSCAPE mode is supported for the specific device type assigned to the target printer in the test system.
As a last resort, you can purge the buffer for loaded layout sets with program RSTXDELL.

Formatting Page 1 Error

When I created report layout by using report wizard, it hang at "formatting page 1"
I go through the following steps when creating a report
1. create table called bonus1
create table bonus1 (ename varchar2(50), job varchar2(20), sal number, comm number);
2. Create a database package as follows:

"Output could not be issued" when using custom page formats

Dear all,
I created a custom page format using SPAD. Its dimension is 7.5cm x 10cm (190mm x 254mm). I also created this page format in windows and set as the default paper size in my printer. However, when trying to print a smartform using this size, the message "Output could not be issued" is given. When I use the standard paper sizes (e.g., LETTER, DINA4), the form prints OK.
Can you point me to the direction to solving this?

Issue resoved.
For those who are encountering the same problem, here's what I did. I tested the smartform by itself and it reported the specific error: the page format is not supported in device type SWIN. I added it in another device type SAPWIN. This was just a simple miscommunication between the admins and the developer. I added the format in SWIN and everything works fine.

New Page Format in Smartforms

Hi All,
I am working on smartforms.
I have created a new page format of width 25 cm and width 30cm according to client's requirement.
Smartform is for customer invoice which is a pre-printed and i have to get data into that.
In sform i have given the my own page format name.
Now problem is am getting print preview correctly but while giving print its givivng the error
' OUTPUT COULD NOT BE ISSUED' and print is not coming.
Please help me regarding this issue.

Hello all,
I have created one page format through SPAD.. but its getting error :You have selected a page format YPO_PF for which there is no identical formatting type in the spool.
and i saved with same request no but while i was moving it to testing through scc1 i am getting error
please guide me to create page format....?

APEX on Oracle XE PDF printing produces: Format error: not a PDF or corrupted.

Dear fellow Apexers and Oracle Gurus,
I have the following configuration:
Oracle XE 11gR2
APEX 4.2.3.00.08
Listener 2.0.5
On this setup I can create workspaces and applications as I please.
Now I want to print a PDF report.
I have set up PDF printing to "Oracle Listener" in the "manage Instance" settings in the instance administration.
I have created a classical report on the EMPLOYEES table (Select * from EMPLOYEES)
and enabled PDF printing in the "Printing" area of the "Print Attributes" of the page.
When I run the page I do get the "print" link on the bottom of the page.
Clicking the link does produce a .PDF but showing this file triggers an error in my PDF reader: Format error: not a PDF or corrupted.
Opening the .PDF file in a text editor reveals the corrupt content.

The same setup works fine and produces the expected PDF file with the report on the following configuration:
Oracle Vbox with Developer days image;
DB 11gR2
Upgraded to apex 4.2.3.00.08
Listener 2.0.5
Since the PDF shows "unknown function" I suspected the XE configuration to lack some of the necessary rights, maybe I forgot to configure the ACLs correctly.
So I compared the ACL info on both configurations. Alas,.. on both machines they return the same result..

I'm having the same issue. I'm using Oracle XE 11gR2 as well. I've tried with APEX 4.2.2 and APEX 4.2.4. I have set up the Oracle Listener in instance settings and set the report to print and I have the same result as you. Have you had any progress yet?

Network message format error. GET request must have a QUERY_STRING value

I have installed new Content Server 10gR on my laptop.
Web Server is : Apache 2.2.4
DB is : Oracle 10g (Standard Edition)
Platform : Windows
CS is up & running. I am able to login and browse through content store. But when I try to perform any type of Submit operation anywhere in CS Portal ( for example "Updating My Profile and clicking on Submit" ) I get following error:
"Network message format error. GET request must have a QUERY_STRING value (the CGI parameters on the URL) "
1. Does any one know why I am getting this ?
2. Is some configuration missing for Apache which connects Apache with CS ?
Below is the httpd.conf changes:

And after hitting Submit button on "My Profile" the URL becomes:
http://delrpatha76669.sapient.com:8989/idc/idcplg/
I guess part of URL gets truncated/missed etc and so we are getting this error ?
Any way to fix this ?

This issue is resolved.
Cause
- After installation when I started CS , I saw "D:\oracle\ucm\idc\weblayout\idcplg" folder missing error in logs. Reason why I created this "idcplg" folder inside "weblayout" folder was because I thought it was not created during installation. I created this folder & copied "idc_cgi_isapi.dll" this file into it.. This was the issue
Fix
- I deleted the folder "D:\oracle\ucm\idc\weblayout\idcplg" and everything started working fine now.

Regarding smartforms page format

i create a page format of size 240mm width and 93mm height and go through the transaction SPAD and i done the device type setup also correctly. but when i try to take the print out it is showing the following error as follows.
exception : send_error
message id : ssfcomposer
device type swin does not support page format <name>.
please anybody can give solution for this.

Printing A3 page format using ABAP List from SAP is a problem...

Hi Experts,
I am trying to print a standard output (ABAP List) A3 page size from SAP.
I used SWIN, SAPWIN, I9HP4 device types, but none of them worked.
I created page format type ZYEVMIYE 290MM 420MM and the page format L120, W200. In order to make it usable with page size is A3. Unfortunately this did not work either.
The behaviour of the problem is when I tried to print with the device types that mentioned above then printer indicator comes to an error. And nothing comes out from the printer.
Just to be on the safe side I made a test from windows self test, it resulted success with A3 page size format. So from this point of the view I got a thought that somehow SAP (selected device types) is not able to send correct signal to Printer for page size A3, because on the printer information screen displays load Tray2 for A4 this is showing that SAP sends Printer a signal for page format A4.
I need help on how to make SAP (selected device type) send a correct signal to Printer in order to printout A3 page size format.

At last i got a Solution to my Question.
The Problem is that in my SAP-Code they have been translated the PDF into 255 string.But i am retreiving using 132 string.So, i resolved in this way.

MySQL timestamp formatting errors

I'm continuing to have odd formatting errors when pulling data out of a MySQL database. The one I'm currently having is with time values.
The screenshot shows that the error is being generated in the Variant to Data.vi The actual time stored in the database is 8:30AM But when converted to timestamp, I get 8:29:59.999 Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to 'round' this value back to what I want either.
I could go back to string outputs, since that particular error doesn't seem to propagate into a string. But that messes with the rest of my application. Going back to string output undoes a couple of days work, and leaves me with the problem of having to convert string 'time' back into timestamp that LabVIEW can understand.
The really odd thing is that 12:30 comes out as 12:30 just fine. I'm not sure why this would be. Any ideas?

There's no difference at all. Changing the properties of the constant doesn't seem to effect the output at all.
I'm trying to figure a way to convert the string back into a timestamp now via these instructions. http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361B-01/glang/scan_from_string/ (example at the bottom of the page)
But my string out put is in the form 7/7/2009 8:30:00 AM and there doesn't seem to be a way at all to use the scan from string tool to covert that back into a time stamp.
Even if I manipulate my string output to be exactly 8:30:00 AM 7/7/2009, the example and any variation I can think of simply won't work. I always get the error that the data is not in the expected format.

SM69-Can't exec external program (Exec format error)

Hi All,
I am executing UNIX script on HP-UX system via SM69.
But getting following error:
u201CCan't exec external program (Exec format error)
External program terminated with exit code 1u201D
Also getting same error with FM-SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE & SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE
Can any one guide what is the cause of error.
Any help will be appreciated.

Check the Sample program. You can test or check the Unix commands using the below program.
