Page formatting is out of whack after comments, new blogs, etc

I just started my website with iWeb and i'm already having problems. I first noticed this when I added a 7th blog entry and the white background on the blog listing page was not big enough for all the information there, so it shifted to a midpoint...it's difficult to explain... (pics should be helpful, keep reading)
I figured out a way to fix it, change the page layout dimensions, publish, change the layout back, and publish again - and it works! I was happy I found that, until i saw that every time someone would comment a blog or a picture, the page would become screwed up like that and i'd have to go through every page with a comment and fix it.

My published page is completely out of whack. Please Help

When i publish my page fonts and text boxes mainly... get completely out of whack. Theyll change color sometimes, become uncentered, change size, or become bold. Pretty much I have no idea whats going on. Changing the fonts to Arial or Times New Roman hasn't made a difference. What can I do? Ive heard about making them into images. I just dont understand what is going on.

Does it look OK in iweb? It seems strange that you have this problem if only published locally, usually problems arise when you publish to the web and view from IE or PC's. Try publishing to MME and posting the url on here if you still have problems. Also make sure you have Javascript switched on in your browser.

Page layout skewed after comment added to blog post

I am having an issue where my page layout is all out of whack after a reader posts a comment. The body text of the blog post drops down the page to cover over the top comment. Also noticed that the weblink that the reader has entered doesn't work - It's supposed to load their site when clicking on their name, but no link is active. Also having problem where the body text is OK, but the comment is cut off - the page doesn't automatically extend to allow the comment to fit at the bottom.
Very frustrating for me and my readers.
BTW, using iWeb09 and Mobile Me account. Annoying to pay this money and not have results.

Seems I can answer this one myself.
The problem occurs when the code from Google Analytics is not on the furthest back layer. Right click on html box containing the code and select 'Move to back'. Problem solved

Colors in Pages out of whack?

After I installed OSX 10.6.7 and its combo update, Pages is TOTALLY out of whack -- black text comes out white, colors come out all wrong, when I highlight text it comes out some odd purple lilac-like color.. And there seems to be no way to change this! Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hold down CONTROL OPTION CMD and click 8. This is a toggle for black on white or white on black.

How to create new Page Format

Hi Nitin,
You can create a new page format by transaction code SPAD. Here you will have to create a cutomised page format for ex: 'ZPAGE'.
After this you will have to create a format type 'ZPAGE'. Assign the page format 'ZPAGE' to format type 'ZPAGE'. Pls make sure that both the names are identical.
Once you do that you will have to assign the format type ZPAGE to the printer which you want to use.
Now you can use this page format in your script.

Specifying page format with a DocPrintJob

I want to print myPageable using legal paper. I tried adding the attributes to the simpledoc, but it still prints out in normal, letter size.
How can I change my page format using the docPrintJob?

I wouldnt try to use that method If I were you.
Try using PrinterJob.print(PrintRequestAttributeSet)
Of course this doesnt work on linux (Which seems to have 0 ability to select different printer attributes)

How do I switch from 1 page format to 2 page format? ibooks won't let me switch back to 2 page after I clicked on 1 page format.

I had clicked on 1 page format on one of the books I have in my library. Since doing this, it won't allow me to click back to 2 page format. Under the view tab, when i scroll down to that area, 1 page is in black with a check mark next to it, and 2 page format is in gray which usually indicates that this sinot an option. I tried removing the check next to 1 page format, but it doesn't seem to help. I would appreciate feedback on resolving this.

Page formats off after uploading to external server

I have finally successfully uploaded my organization's site created in iWeb to an external server. However, the page formats changed a little in the process. Small things, like graphics shifting position, font sizes changing ( I used "web-friendly" fonts throughout).
I currently have the site open in Safari, as well as iWeb open, to compare. Things look fine in iWeb, but how can I make sure they upload without changing?

There is no problem with having a shape with a text box dropped over it. This is preferable to typing your text in the shape itself as the text will then be converted to an image and increase your file size.
When you have, say, a text box and an image overlapping they tend to push each other about.
Try publishing your site to a folder on the desktop and double clicking the index.html file to launch your site in the browser direct from your hard disk. If its OK there then the problem is publishing.
Make sure you use a good FTP application to upload your files.

Printing Problem in New Page Format

Hi Everybody,
              I have an issue lying long time in my Company.
        Abap person asked me to create a new page format with new page sizing and all. i created it. this is actually for Voucher printing which does not require A4 size. so that i specified specific paper size in that.
     Voucher is Printing in the Specified Size, ok. But, after printing it, the printer automatically Rolls till the end of the paper.(Probably this would have taken A4 by Default)
     the issue is, we need to stop this rolling and we need to make this printing as specified.since it is continuous printing, every time we cant manually rotate the page.(Printer Epson Dot Matrix)
Is this either can be sorted out by ABAP or Basis Person.
   What can be done from Our Basis Side?

How to create a Customized Page format?

Hi Experts,
Page size is ht- 278mm, width - 242 mm.
Printer - EPSON LQ-680 (Dot Matrix Printer)
Paper - Preprinted Stationary ( For Invoice Printing)
As per the comments I have followed the below steps for my page format.
From SPAD Transaction,
1. Created Page format -
Page Format ZINV_JGT
Orientation as - Portrait
Width 242 Unit MM
Height 278 Unit MM
2. Created Format type
Format Type ZINV_JGT
Type Format type for sap script
Page Format ZINV_JGT Orientation - Portrait
Comment Page format for JGT Invoice
3. Created Device type
Version 1
Device type ZINV_JGT Name Device driver Invoice print
Driver SAPlpd/SAPWIN driver 3.0
Printer Driver Do not printer driver for ABAP list Print
Character Set 1135 Printer EPLQ550 ASCII multilingual
4. When to format for device
Then created a format zinv_jgt
I get the below options in this tab. What code i need to write here.

Creation of new page format

Hi
I have created new page format and added it to format and then to device by using SPAD.
This new page size is 8 X 6 Portrait( Is there any standard sap page format available with this size)
the problem is that when print out is taken by using script the first page of the first document is correctly printed , But from second document onward the printer scrolls more than required, the print out is taken in continues page.
Where to set the scrolling space and all

I think it is Printer problem. Check your printer settings.

Footer should be print on last page in multiple page format

Hi expert,
I designed form for invoice print ,in that for multiple pages footer should be print on last page only and hight of the main window should be increase (means if footer will display on last page then space of footer should be used for main window in multiple
page format)
for eg .if i have 12 item so 5 items displyed on each page but i want to print 10 item on first page and remaing on second and after that i want to print footer.

Hi,
Has you tried to create a "new page" copy of FIRST, and make it the LAST_PAGE... On it you are going to create the desired footer.
The Page Secuence will be something like this:
If you are trying to print 12 items, then PAGE 1 (10 items) -> LAST_PAGE (2 remaining items).

LG Monitor and New Mac Pro -- Colours out of Whack

I have an LG L226WT and a 20" Apple Cinema Display connected to a brand new Mac Pro.
Both monitors (in the same configuration) were running on my old PowerMac G5 before.
The Cinema Display works fine, colours are good, so is light etc.
The LG first had ghosting (severe at that) and this morning the colours are totally out of whack. Looking at some photos I had taken a week ago and colour corrected on the G5 now look like a child painted them (on the LG monitor, on the Cinemadisplay they are fine).
It's not the graphics card either. If I take a screenshot on the LG and look at it on the Cinemadisplay the colours etc. are correct, but the LG is right now pretty useless to me. I tried to calibrate it but the end result is pretty much the same, it just does not seem to want to play nice.
I don't think it is the DVI cable, as it is securely screwed in and in the same location as on the PowerMac, turning the monitor off / on seems to resolve the shadow problem but not the colour issue.
Anybody have experienced this? Any tips outside of trashing the LG and buying a new screen?

The ghosting issue is still one when I first turn the computer on. I found that I have to turn the monitor off and on and it resolves the issue.
I also found the source of my colour problem, it comes down to the LG "resetting" itself to some "automatic improvement" or whatever you want to call it, which completely messed with the tones. After I turned that "feature" off it worked well, but man, that took me three days to figure out.

CREATE EDITION CLASS FOR PAGE FORMAT

Now the system needs to create a "editing class" to associate the new page format (ZFCONT).
What are the steps to create the "editing class".
There is another necessary step to enable it to print?

Well, this should be a system problem (refresh) because the day after, without any change in SPAD nor anyplace else, the smartforms is recognizing the page type I've created.

Page format for SAP-Script not working in 4.6C

Hi all,
I have a problem regarding check printing.
I am using SAP version 4.6C
The size of paper for check printing is
width = 231 mm
Height = 304 mm
So for this I have created a new page format with these details in SPAD.
Then I assigned this Page format to spool format and assigned that spool format to SAPWIN driver. I have assigned this page format to the SCRIPT that is used for check printing .
But when I am taking the print out for the check with new page format, the printer dont print till the end of page, it prints till the total amount on check and then stops there. So this creates an alignment problem when taking printout for multiple checks.
Please give some solution for this.

I guess you are printing on dot matrix printer. If yes, try to do some physical printer settings for the dot matrix printer by following the printer manual. I guess you have to change the page size.. or set default printer settings... it may help you to solve your problem...
if not goto your device types tab in SPAD and select device types.. select your device from the list (for ex, SAPWIN) click format and goto the format that you have inserted for this device types.. double click on your format, you will see printer Indialization.. try to write code like this
set page length to 8.5 inch (=52 lines at 6 LPI)
\e\0x43\0x44
Note the above hexa decimal value can be obtained by going through the printer manual.
