"Page has Changed" infinite loop

When I click the Edit button, a message appears:
"Page has Changed. A new version of this page has been
detected. The new version will be loaded."
(There is no "new version" of the page, so this message seems
erroneous.)
I click OK. I click the Edit button again. The same message
appears. The page never goes into "Edit" mode, so this process
becomes an infinite loop, preventing me from editing the page.
What is the problem?

Please post the url for the site you're working with.
Does this happen with all of your InContext Editing enabled
pages, or just one? Are you the only one working on the page in
InContext Editing and Dreamweaver, or is it possible there is an
editing/synchronizing conflict with another user?

Session Timeout Alert + login page has changed

Hello,
We recently updated our SAP CRM 7.0 from EHP1 to EHP3.
Since than we get this "Session Timeout Alert" error and it is very annoying.
I've changed the rdisp/plugin_auto_logout parameter to 7200 s but the session is still ending after about 10min.
On EHP1 we didn't had this problem.
Also it seems that the login page has changed because the username and password is not saved anymore and we need to introduce them every time we log in.
Please help to solve these problems.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Getting the "Page Has Changed" error.

I'm using InContext Editing and am getting this error:
Page Has Changed
The page you are trying to edit or duplicate could not be found on the server. You can check if the page was deleted or moved in the meantime.
The page does exist, I can view it in the browser and thru includes/ice/ide.html. I can Duplicate the page, and the page gets duplicated on the server, but I can't edit the duplicated page either.
My pages are pretty simple, but do have a few include files in them. So I deleted the includes, uploaded a straight .html file, and I still get the error.
In the "Configure Site" section, I can connect to my ftp site. I can browse the directories, etc., so I'm definitely connecting.
The weird thing is, I upload this exact same site to a test server (on Linux), configure a new site in the admin, edit the same files and it works perfectly. But once I upload these files to a Windows/IIS server, I get this error.
Any ideas?

Page Has Changed ERROR! Help please!

I am trying to edit an ICE site but I keep getting the error:
PAGE HAS CHANGED-
A new version of this page has been detected. The new page will be loaded.
It loads the "new page" even though nothing has changed, only to happen again. I have used ICE on multiple other sites but this is the only one giving me trouble. The url is http://www.mainsqueezemusic.com.
Can anyone help?

I was able to edit and save the draft for the http://www.mainsqueezemusic.com/includes/ice/ide.html#page=home.html page and then edit the draft again with no problems.
Is this issue still happening?
On what page?

Page has changed error

I have created an editable region on a very simple page -- a list of names that I would like to be able to change in the browser rather than launch Dreamweaver every time I want to add a name. I added editable region and uploaded it with the ICE files. When I hit the Edit Page I get the "Page has Changed" message: "A new version of this page has been detected. The new version will be loaded" with an OK box. However, it reverted to the unchanged page. Page Status (at the bottom left of the screen) says Published. Once I could actually edit the page and it Page Status said Draft, but I could not publish it -- I received the same error as mentioned above.

No, I use Transmit for OSX.
The only other clue I have is that I have a reseller account at my host. The site that works in InContext is on the primary domain for the account. The sites that don't work with InContext are on other domains. And the site that works was setup in a subdirectory with a different FTP account than the primary FTP account.
The site that works at the second host is just a standard shared hosting plan. So this seems to have something to do with the way my server is setup. Perhaps the way the reseller account is setup.
For the time being, I've gone back to using Contribute because I needed a quick solution.

What is a good word processor app as pages has changed and is now rubbish

Since some stupid update on pages that has absolutely ruined the entire thing, can anyone give me advise on a good word processor app?

My mac updated, now top site page has changed and is in edit mode constantly-help?

When I restarted my mac after a scheduled update, the top site page still had all my saved sites on it but it was much bigger and the style and background have all changed. It also appears to be in edit mode and I can't see an edit button (like usual) to switch the mode off. The little cross and pin button is on each of the site icons and won't go away...Not techy enough to know how to fix this Would appreciate any help!

My Mozilla Firefox Start Page has changed

My Mozilla Firefox Start Page changed without me doing anything to change it. I had the old style that said "you are not on the latest version of firefox" and I liked it. Now, I cannot get it back. What do I have to do to get it back?

It will do the "reset" and then disappear from the Add-ons Manager.
BTW, "you are not on the latest version of firefox" message sounds like the Firefox Home Page from Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions. So if the "default" isn't what you want - See - [[How to set the home page]]

Ebay Classifieds' "Manage My ADs" Page Has Changed

A few days ago I logged into the Manage My ADs page on Ebay Classifieds and found it altered. I contacted Ebay Classifieds to find out if they changed the format and they said no. I had recently downloaded some Microsoft Updates so I thought that was the problem so I did a system restore to remove those updates. The page looked like it normally did so I thought one of those updates was the issue. I decided to install each update individually and check Ebay Classifieds to maybe narrow down which update was the problem. After installing all of the updates the page looked fine. I also noticed that an add-on that I had on Firefox "Ad Block" was gone. I tried to install Ad Block but Firefox wouldn't let me. I kept getting a message that it was corrupt. I found that Firefox had a newer version so I downloaded that and then downloaded Ad Block. And everything was fine; Ad Block was working and the Manage my Ads page of Ebay classifieds was back to normal.
Today I log into Ebay Classifieds to list an item or two and again find the Manage My Ads page altered again. Tried clearing my cache, cookies, reinstalling Java (something an Ebay Classified Rep told me to do) and nothing; the page is still altered.
None of the Microsoft updates are installed. I also logged into Ebay Classified via Internet Explorer and Google Chrome and the page is altered using them too.
Any ideas what might be causing the Manage My ADs page to be changed? I'm at a loss.

Not that I know of. The only thing I actually installed was Ad Block Plus. I had it before and never had any problems. I recently (a couple days ago) noticed on Yahoo I was getting ads on a group that I belong to there. I was wondering why and then noticed that Ad Block was gone. So I tried to reinstall it but Firefox kept saying the file was corrupt. I asked my bother who is more computer literate then I am and he said that there could be something wrong with Firefox. So we checked and found I had the version before the new one 23.0.1. So, I updated Firefox and Ad Block installed okay and everything was fine and my eBay classifieds page was fine too. But today it's changed back again to the altered state.
I also did notice one thing, and I'm not sure if this means anything or not, but when I click on the clear cached web content it it says, "Your web content cache is currently using 135 KB of disk space." If I clear that should it be zero???
