Page has lost links once published

Hello,
have created a site.
have published the site to me.com (and my personal server too)
links between pages got lost on both servers
Any idea what I do wrong? (Have done "published all" already - no change)
I am suspicious whether iWeb is "foreign language accents sensitive". I mean does not work with anything else than English. Is it?

It is really extremely easy to set up either CNAME or ordinary web forwarding in iWeb/MMe.
1. Firstly, Publish All to MobileMe from within iWeb and your site will be published.
2. To set up CNAME, log into your MME account and then click on the personal section and then domain names. Then enter your domain name into your MMe account.
3. Go to your domain name registrar/hosting company and access the control panel and find the DNS settings section. You need to enter something similar to www, CNAME and then forward your domain name to web.me.com. With some you need to set to forward the @, CNAME and then web.me.com.
4. If you don't want to use CNAME then use ordinary web forwarding instead. Go to the web forwarding section and ensure that your domain is forwarded to web.me.com/username/sitename. You can have masked or unmasked forwarding too. Masked is better though.
All simple to follow - nothing complicated there.
If you want to upload directly, then try using Cyberduck as Tom suggested. Publish to a Folder from iWeb and this will go to the Site folder on your hard drive. Open Cyberduck and upload both the site folder with the same name as you gave your site in iWeb and the separate index.html file and place all in the Public_html folder and your site will be visible.

Published Page has Inactive Links

So, I finally got it all together...
Using iWeb and Transit, I was able to get my homepage up, but the links to the other pages (navigation menu) is not working.
What I did: I hid the default navigation menu and created my own. In iWeb, the links work fine. Slowly, but fine. I clicked publish, saved it to my file and uploaded using Transit.
I went to the site, several times over several hours, and each time the home page came up but the navigation menu was dead.
I double checked, made sure to make all the links active in iWeb, republished, reuploaded and waited. Checked again, and still dead links.
Please tell me I don't have to lose my design and use the crappy default navigation menu.
What I think is the problem is where I'm moving my files to Transmit, but it seems to be working beautifully until it gets from Transmit to the web. No error messages, Transmit seems to finish doing its job.
I've searched other topics, but can't find out why I'm only publishing one page with the dead links.

So this little bit of troublshooting for me...
Open up your page in iWeb. Under the View menu, select "Show Layout". Now open the Inspector and click over to the Page tab. What is the number entered for "Header height"? Try increasing it little by little until you see the grey boundary line for the header section move down. You might also see some of your page content start moving down at this point. Then you will have your header height adjusted correctly. Try a republish if you like.
Right now, it looks like the default iWeb navigation bar is probably hidden beneath the header image. This might be due to the header size being set too small.
Oh and try something else for me.... Take the hyperlink off your Page Headline text "www.gripandelectric.com". It leads to the same page anyway if we can get your "Home" button working.

IMovie on iPhone 4 has lost links to my clips!

I spent hours editing my iMovie on my iPhone 4, showed it to my wife once. Now when I go to the movie on my iPhone it is there, but all the clips have a yellow triangle with "!" inside. The movie plays but is just blank. I checked and all the clips are still in my iPhone. Why would it have lost the links to these clips and can I get them back into the edited movie? I did upgrade to OS 4.2 from 4.1 since I created the movie. Somebody please help me.

I noticed this problem recently as well but it now makes sense that it was probably the recent iOS updates. I built my movie back in the summer and had been playing it for family and friends for awhile until recently I tried to export a high-quality version and the iMovie app alerts me to missing clips. I was dumbfounded to say the least.
I've confirmed that my missing clips are still available on my phone and MORE INTERESTING TO NOTE is that some clips in my movie have been replaced (incorrectly linked) to other video clips in my library that were never part of the original movie. Weird.
Apple, any help here would be appreciated.

Twice Pages has lost important docs that were saved. The other day I had a very important document that I worked on for three days, saved at least six times and yesterday it disappeared. There is no trace even via a date recovery software programme. Help!

I have twice lost really imptnt docs on Pages. Yesterday's doc had been saved at least six times over the three days of working on it, then yesterday it disappeared. I used disk drill to recover and it found lots of pages docs but not a trace of my multiply-saved document. How could that happen - and twice! The first time it was my novel and disk drill found it. This time it is a philosophy book, a new opening of around six pages, and there is just no trace. Time is short to avoid overwriting - does anyone have any ace ideas? Kind Regards

Novel: not the problem at the moment as that was recovered last time. I don't really understand the question otherwise - Pages is a wp prog, why not write a novel in it. I didn't do it for DTP, just as a doc.
Disk Drill hasn't found the doc that is still under pages-docs - which has the same title as the lost doc - but is only less than a page whereas the lost doc is about 6 pages. Pages still saved the longer doc numerous times despite having the same title as the shorter one. The last time I left the macbook on sleep and awoke it while trying a dongle in a shop. The doc came up on the screen and so I tried to minimise it - that menu came down (which always annoys me) that asks if I want save this new doc on i-cloud. As it is never a new doc and I don't want to save what doesn't exist on i-cloud I pressed delete - which usually leaves the existing document as saved. But this time when I got home and tried to open it - it had disappeared. The short doc is still there, but neither that nor the longer missing version has been found by Disk Drill - unlike last time with the novel when it did find the missing doc.

Pages has lost its connection to iCloud

I have a mid 2010 iMac 27" 2.93 Ghz i7 with 8GB of ram.
When I go to open files from iCloud in Pages (and the other icloud connected apps) the finder window blinks as if trying to connect but then displays my local documents folder. I have repaired permissions, logged out and back into iCloud services to no avail. I created a new profile on the mac, linked to iCloud services and everything worked fine!. Before I just give up and move all of my files over to a new profile, I was hoping someone out there had a fix for this.
BTW I have the latest version of Pages and Pages 09 installed same issue with both versions.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

My mozilla firefox page has lost the search bar from the center of the page

the google search bar in the center of the mozilla firefox start page disappeared today and I can't find a way to get it back. When I open the home page it is there for a second or two, then gone. I had rather not change my home page, but I want that mid page search bar back. Any suggestions.

The search bar probably is still there, but only not visible and the mouse pointer should reveil its presence when you hover that area.
You should be able to set focus to it with the Tab key or click if you see the mouse pointer changing.

ITunes has 'lost' links to songs AGAIN !

I spent most of last night organizing my iTunes library and folder. Long story short, it was in a mess due to being moved from computer to computer, consolidated and re-consolidated, etc.
Today I had everything linked up, duplicates removed, some odd re-naming fixed, and all was fine.
Now I am finding that the songs have become 'unlinked' AGAIN. This is AFTER they were working fine a few hours ago.
I have been meticulously careful through all this work and have double-checked everything.
Is it iTunes 7? Is it me? How can this happen?

Can't answer your issue because I don't use itunes to organize my music(MP3). I use the Finder. I do move my MP3 files to my 5 Macs and get the job done in a few minutes with never a problem.
I rip music, then pick my favorite songs. I delete the track number(working with a copy of the original MP3) and place my 2,160 MP3 files into a folder of my choice name. I leave my other "untouched" original MP3 in an archive on either a firewire drive or another sata internal drive for safe keeping.
Now I have a folder called whatever containing many folders such as rock, metal, jazz, etc...inside those folder of course would be organized by artist folder, album folder then the music.
When I re-do my Macs I just copy my favorites folder over to it. Launch itunes then add to the library(just select the top folder and it adds everything inside). I did id3 tag my favorites originally and also used GROUPING to then have a way to sort all the songs instantly, select all and choose the equalizer. I name my playlist the same name as GROUPING name to make it simple to transfer my favorite into each playlist.
Lots of typing here but infinitely easier to work with my huge collection of MP3 files.

My Firefox / Google start page has lost the buttons that allow me to "search the web" or "look at pages from UK". How can I get these back?

These are the selection button just under the window where you enter what you are searching for and above the "Google Search" button. They used to be there but have disappeared!

What happened yesterday may have been caused by the SOPA protest action that was joined by a lot of sites yesterday and such an action won't happen that often.

Filmstrip has lost link to images

When looking at individual images in Events or Photos, the filmstrip at the bottom shows completely wrong information:
1) The thumbnails in the filmstrip are of images NOT in the current Event, or, if looking at the images in Photos (sorted by date), they are of other date groups
2) Many of the thumbnails in the filmstrip are of images that were deleted from iPhoto months ago. I have made certain that the deleted images do not exist anywhere on any of my connected drives.
I have Repaired Permissions on my Mac's System drive, and I have rebooted and zapped the PRAM, but the above errors remain.
Suggestions? Should I Trash my iPhoto preferences?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Pages wont load, links become inactive

Hello, I have had this issue for a while and I have finally decided to ask for some help, usually I can find answers to my problems but am a bit stumped on this one.
My issue is this:
I do a search, right click link and open in new tab - works 80% of the time. ok other 20% page wont open just stuck. Whats interesting though is I have found if I refresh the google search page I can then open the link fine, - the first open page is still sitting there spinning around, sometimes when the link opens this will kick the first try into finding the site. Now it has been getting worse. Now links on web pages becoming inactive as in i click on the link and nothing happens, right click and it does not have open in new tab ect. Its as though the page has lost all of it connections to the internet. sometimes when i refresh the page after a link not working it will open the linked page? bizarre.
I have done a lot of research on this and have done things like clear the cache,
uninstalled and reinstalled firefox,
changed to new profile,
and a myriad of other things mainly in regards to pages wont load.
does this happen in other browsers, I barely use other browsers so haven't noticed that it does.
I use ghostery and ad block plus, ad block pop up, ad block is set to exclude google.
does this happen on other computers with firefox on my wireless network? not as much sometimes pages wont load but can put that down to internet or wireless issues.
I cant rule out it being a browser issue because when pages wont load from google links i can open bookmarks and the pages load as well as links from them out to the internet, and the page open via google still sits on spinning, try the link again and again and still wont load.
Could it just be a bad link? it happens far too often for the internet to have that many bad links.

Ad block plus and ghostery have used this and updated for a long time with out these issues.
Issues only started with the last couple of firefox updates.
something of interest is that this issue started around the time we upgraded to adsl 2+ from adsl and got a new modem, but the internet is still connected and I can still surf from the bookmarks so that could be just a coincidence so I still cant rule out a browser issue.
oh does the page time out - eventually yes but takes a long time, I do see it saying waiting for fonts.google or other such things but tried all of those fixes and nothing helps.
I hope I have been able to get my issue across.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Images go black once web page has loaded

I use my blackberry to look at the BBC weather pages. When the page loads the images load and can be seen but once the page has finished loading all of the images go black. Any ideas.

Photos misaligned on the page once published...

The photos are perfectly placed in the iWeb project. I publish. The photos have moved in their positioning ... I've never seen this happen before. I've remade the page several times. The photos on the other pages are exactly where they should be once published. What might be happening here?

Each photo should be lined up next to the name of the performer. They are in the original iWeb project.

This is quite difficult to demo in written text, but you can have image inside a text box and this text box is inside another text box as here:
the red border box is the image, the white border box is the inside text box and the black border box is the outside text box.
You have to copy the image (red border) into the small text box (white border) , then copy the small text box (white border and its image) and paste it inside the large text box (black border), then use text wrap around the smaller text box to have the final effect.

note that this method will allow you to have padding between the photos and the text, there is no other way around it.
