Page item section option differes in Desktop and viewer
Hi Everyone.
In the Page Items section of this report. The user can choose only ONE value in Desktop but coming to the Viewer, user can select ONE value or ALL for each of the fields once the query has run.
Is there any way to hide the ALL option in the Viewer??

What to do about Finder options for "all desktops" and "none" not working
I have seen only one thread dealing with an issue similar, not identical, to mine. Hope I'm not missing something obvious.
I have experiment with the finder showing after upgrading to Lion. I have consistently found that the show options of "all desktops" and in "none" needs to be altered after I re-boot. If I have it as 'all desktops' it doesn't show unless I change it to "none." If I have it set to "none" then I have to change it to "all desktops" or "this desktop" after re-booting.
I even tried to reduce the number of desktops. That didn't work.
I tried deleting my finder preferences file and that hasn't worked.
Is this a bug or do I need to do some other process?
Thanks.Solved through applecare; had me delete all of my preferences and start over (with saving things like mail, dock settings). Has worked fine for weeks.

some excel items have appeared on my desktop and they cannot be deleted, does anyone have any idea on this?
Hi, cannot drag to trash, get a message saying the item cant be moved to trash because it cant be deleted. I really dont know what theses are. The icon shows as excel but they are certainly not filenames I have used. I cant open them either and they dont show in finder under desktop but they are clearly sitting there!

Published site aligning differently on desktop and iPad
Hello,
Hoping someone can help, have spent the last 4 hours trying everything and cannot find the solution.
Have exported as HTML and uploaded to FTP. The design views perfectly and centrally in browser on my Desktop (top), but on my iPad and Android tablet the pinned header appears central but the rest of the site is aligned to the left. Site and individual page properties show padding to top and bottom but all are aligned as 'centre horizontally'.
I have tried unpinning the header, adding padding to the left, rebuilding the layers..
Any help would be amazing..Hey again Zak...
So I'm pretty sure that there is nothing hidden and nothing unlocked off screen that would be causing this issue..
If you have the time or inclination to further help, I've uploaded part of the site http://czav.co.uk/BritishTapas/MuseExport/ - if possible you would be able to see the difference on a portable device and desktop/laptop..
I think it has something to do with the header at the top, being pinned perhaps as when I pin elements on the page the force central.. It doesn't make sense at all as it appears completely fine on my desktop and not on my iPad..

How to I convert all the pages in a Pages document into simply pages, eliminating pages called "sections", so I can pick and chose specific pages to drag where I want (without dragging an entire section of pages)?
Insert a Section Break at the foot of each page
or:
Toolbar > Document > Document > uncheck Document Body
This will destroy any content in your document, but I presume that is what you want.

I have a dilema i use a programme called Mackeeper i accidentally moved several checked files to my trash BUT i didnt delete them,i would like to put the files back where they belong but the put back option is in grey and wont work?? i have spoken to Apple and to no avail !!!
Mackeeper moved my files to my trash so i pulled them out of my trash to my desktop it has copied them to my desktop as well as kept them in my trash!!
im so confused and things are not working properly anymore such as my google chrome for example...all my book marks are gone BUT i can go to the google file which is out of place on my desktop and view all my bookmarks data...ALL of my files still exist but they are just out of place now which is making it hard for certain options on my computer to work...

Remove "MacKeeper" as follows.
"MacKeeper" has only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the functional components of the software will be deleted. Reboot.
Failure to remove MacKeeper will result from neglecting any one of these points:
Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
Don't empty the Trash after dragging the application to it. Let MacKeeper delete itself.
Don't try to drag the MacKeeper icon in the Dock to the Trash.
Here are some general suggestions. If you want your computer to be usable, don't install crapware, such as “themes,” "haxies," “add-ons,” “toolbars,” “enhancers," “optimizers,” “accelerators,” "boosters," “extenders,” “cleaners,” "doctors," "tune-ups," “defragmenters,” “firewalls,” "barriers," “guardians,” “defenders,” “protectors,” most “plugins,” commercial "virus scanners,” "disk tools," or "utilities." With very few exceptions, this stuff is useless, or worse than useless.
The more actively promoted the product, the more likely it is to be garbage. The most extreme example is the “MacKeeper” scam.
The only software you should install is that which directly enables you to do the things you use a computer for — such as creating, communicating, and playing — and does not modify the way other software works. Never install any third-party software unless you know how to uninstall it.

How to get notified when ever I select any frame (any page item) ?
I have added a observer class in my plugin which derives from ActiveSelectionObserver.
But my observer constructor is not getting called when i select a page item. (In short, I am not getting notified about the selection)

Do I need to implement the ILayoutSelectionSuite as well to get the notification on page item selection or implementing Observer via ActiveSelectionObserver is sufficient?

Removing all option in discovere desktop page item

I want to remove the all option which appears in the oracle discovere desktop and oracle discoevere plus under the page item which you create a cross tab report.
I am creating a cross table report in that i have a date in the page item it shows the <all> option also in the drop down of the page item. I do not want it to come there . how do i remove it from that place.

I have a new desktop and re-installed my identity from my airtime back up and on the log in page my picture comes up with my usual password hint, but it is not accepting my password and I do not have the option to reset using my apple id - that particular function is in grey and cannot be clicked on
Depending on what kind of computer you have, you're gonna need to put that backup in the appropriate folder or itunes is not gonna be able to see it for you to use.

As I said, I upgraded my MacBook Pro (2011) from Lion to Mountain Lion last night. This morning I couldn't get it to boot up at all. The beach ball just spun and spun. Now I can get it to my desktop and can see my wallpaper, but it takes another FULL five minutes to finish loading my desktop items. Can I do anything to speed this up? It's a ridiculously long time to wait. I haven't even tried opening any applications yet.
go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:
-> Update ALL your Firefox Plug-ins https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
-> go to View Menu -> Zoom -> click "Reset"
-> go to View Menu -> Page Style -> select "Basic Page Style"
-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> unselect unwanted toolbars
-> go Tools Menu -> Clear Recent History -> Time range to clear: select EVERYTHING -> click Details (small arrow) button -> place Checkmarks on ALL Options -> click "Clear Now"

-> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select unwanted search engines and click Remove -> click OK
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE any Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.
