<!-- Page Metadata Generated On: 16-JUN-2009:16:10:07 Time Taken: 80 msecs -->
Is there a utility ?
Thanks

You should use apex_dictionary_views instead. Go to the application > utilities > application_express_views

When you installed Pages v5, it automatically moved the older Pages ’09 v4.3 into /Applications/iWork '09 folder. If you want normal comment interoperability, you are advised to resume using the older version of Pages. Newer, is certainly not better with Pages v5.

  • Total number of pages before generating the PDF - OMR

    Dear all,
We are facing the following problem. We want to apply OMR (optical mark recognition) barcoding on a batch of invoices.
Basically there are two steps in the proces:
    - Fetch the batch of invoices created during the day, let's say 1000 invoices.
    - Calculate for this batch of invoices the total number of pages per customer. 1 customer can have multiple invoices per day.
    - If the number of pages per customer > 12, remove the invoices from the total batch (1000 invoices become then 800 for example).
    - Apply OMR logic on the remaining 800.
My question is regarding step 2. The calculation of the total number of pages per customer. Is it possible to get the total number of pages before generating the PDF? Or do we have to 'simulate' the PDF to get to this number?
Another question I have, does anybody have experience implementing OMR using adobe forms? Any experience to share?
    Thanks for your feedback
    Simon

    Hi Philippe,
we can only determine the page size when its already loaded with data and its published/sent by ADS.
i.e., the no of pages increases based on the data you feed to the form which mean by the time the form/script determines the number of pages it has published dynamically data is already there. so your requirement cannot be solved in that approach.
the next approach which I can think of is as follows.
lets say you display the invoices data as a table in the form.
so then lets specify the row height to .5" which mean in a form with content area size of 15" we can display 30 records.
so in the interface or the source program count the number of records per customer if they are < (12pages X 30 records = 360) leave them as they are else remove them for the list and process the data for other customers.
As per your other query of having OMR on the form I have no Idea, I never worked on that but if its just any other type of barcode that shouldn't have any problem.
    Hope this helps you,
    Cheers,
    Sai

  • How can we access Page metadata in DataView Webpart in SharePoint Designer 2013?

    Hi,
I need to access Page metadata in my Data view web part and I am having a feeling, that the "Form" option can help me getting Page metadata, but I am not able to get much information about using this field as a parameter source on net? Can
anybody advise, how to use "Form" option in "Parameter Source" in SharePoint Designer 2013
OR Suggest me any other way to get Page metadata in Data View Webpart?
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi  Deepali,
All the parameter source are ASP Request Object collections  which is used to get information from a visitor.
For accessing page metadata, you can select Server  Variable.
For more information ,you can refer to the following article:

Edited by: C@rlitos on Sep 30, 2009 6:14 PMHave you configured your Infra with a new hostname on a different port ?
Unless, you had installed your OAS with custom ports, and have not used the default ports for the components, your lsnr_token for the newurl has a problem. orasso and sso should be configured at 7777, and by default they configure at that port. That means that your newURL should be pointing to http://newurl.com:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login for the ls_login_url.
This might have happened due to some error in registering your portal with the SSO. Have you used custom ports for your installations?
Additionally, did you configure your newurl on port 80?

  • JSF Creator IDE in a language and generated comments in another language

    Hello,
I am using JSF Creator in french which is perfect for me.
However JSF Creator generates comments in french which is a problem since several nationalities are represented on the project (I am working in switzerland).
I would like to be able to generate the comments in english.
    Is it possible?
I did not find the answer in the JSFC tool options.
    Thanks,
    Val

There is no automatic way to do this. You have to generate your new source files in an English locale if you want the default comments in English, then return to the French locale to continue working. The comments will continue to appear in English, of course, but you will be continuing to switch locales every time you create a new source file.
Perhaps recommending French lessons to your colleagues would be easier..;-)

  • Spotlight metadata vs comments

I was reading a post on TUAW about a new app called tags. TUAW states "Tags uses Spotlight metadata instead of the old Spotlight comments method."
Can someone clarify the difference between metadata and comments? I thought they were the same.
    Thanks

The way Spotlight works by using little programs called metadata importers (mdimporter) to open a file and extract some information from it. For example, a photo would have the image dimensions, the type of camera used, the time the picture was taken, etc. Then, it stores that information in a database. It's the database you search when you use Spotlight. The database stores the name of the file (e.g., 'IMG_1234.jpg', a field name (e.g., 'kMDItemISOSpeed'), and a value (e.g., '400').
You can add metadata and look for it. Applications can define their own metadata attributes to stuff in the database for a file.
In the case of the 'Tags' app, what TUAW is saying is that rather than store the data used by tags in the file description, it has introduced its own field in the database -- probably something obvious like 'kMDItemTags'. That way, the description doesn't get messed up, and you can search in spotlight specifically for a tag: 'tag:cromulent'

  • Page number in Comment List?

Where are the page numbers in Comments List in Acrobat 10.1.3? In prior versions you used to be able to close up comments for individual pages, that function appears to be gone. When working on documents with many pages and comments this was invaluable.
Also is there any way to make the Comments List wider? It's difficult to copy and paste very long comments into InDesign when the window is so narrow, some comments run on way past the bottom of screen.

  • Accessing page metadata on a content web part to generate a custom link.

This is what I am trying to do in Sharepoint 2013...
Page1 has a metadata element which tags the page to a department (e.g. Finance, HR, Operations etc) and another element that tags the page to a location (NY, London, Brussels etc). On a new web part on the page I want to create a link to another page, Page2.
Through the link, I want to pass the value of these metadata elements to Page2. On Page2, through an onload JS function, I want to change the value of some field (text or dropdown etc) using the passed values.
I am having trouble figuring out a way to perform the page1 actions. I need to understand how to generate a URL based on the metadata elements, which will contain parameter values equal to these element values. I'd appreciate any help in understanding the
    way to do this.
    Regards,
    VRA

    Hi Vinay,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to generate a URL which contains the tags of the page1.
I recommend to programmatically get the tags of the page1 in SharePoint first, please refer to the link below:
    http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/anavijai/programmatically-get-all-the-social-tags-for-the-specified-url-in-sharepoint-2010/
After that, we can set the URL like this: http://server/pages/page2?department=Finance&location=NY. (Finance and NY are an example of the tags gotten programmatically)
Then we can pass the parameter values of the tags to page2 using JavaScript.

  • |Pages 5| Keep Comments Displayed in Margins?

When I write comments on a document they are now only shown when I mouse-over them. I would like them to constantly be displayed in the margins. Is there still a way to do this?
    -Neil

No. I gather you are running Pages 5 on OSX 10.9 not !0.4.10.
Pages 5 has over 90 other features removed:
    http://www.freeforum101.com/iworktipsntrick/viewforum.php?f=22&sid=b14426a2c5af2 65f2213d98ee45f08d7&mforum=iworktipsntrick
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
Export your Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx and trash/archive Pages 5.
Then rate/review Pages 5 in the App Store.

  • Pages 5 and comments

I stepped into the Cloud and like it so far. I take photos with my iPhone which I can easily drop into my iCloud document, only to continue typing on my MacBook. What's good about comments is that they stick to your pictures. So I can easily rearrange them wherever they provide value with image-specific data locked in place.
I read you can no longer print comments with Pages 5, but neither did Acrobat XL Pro read any when I exported to pdf.
I rather don't install any Microsoft junk and I'd like to wirelessly print from my phone. What would enable me to do so?

You can create a document using Pages for Mac at home on your MacBook and print it using AirPrint on your AirPrint enabled printer at home, correct?
You can then transfer that same document to your phone which is running Pages for iOS and print it to the very same printer using AirPrint, correct?
Then when you get to school, you can can print the very same document from your phone using AirPrint to their AirPrint enabled printer, correct?
If the school doesn't have an AirPrint enabled printer, you can't use AirPrint.
If the school doesn't allow you to wireless access their printer, using AirPrint, you won't be able to print using AirPrint.
If either of the above is the case, you will need to transfer your document to their server in order to print it.  If they don't use the same software as you do, you will need to convert it to a format their software can read in order to print it from their computers.
If the above is not the case, there should be no reason why you can't print the document at school as-is.  You don't need to convert a document for printing, but you do need to convert a document if you are attempting to share it with others who DO NOT use the same software that you do.
I'm just trying to get at the part where the document works and doesn't work and why.
Why are you even exporting the document as Microsoft or Pages 4?  The printer could care less what software you use, only the device you are printing from cares what software you use.  The only reason you would need to convert the document is to make it readable on a different device that doesn't run your particular software.

  • How can i see, on which page my client commented in a shared PDF file via CC?

    Hello,
i want to use the share function of CC to share a multipage PDF document with my client. Everytime he comments this PDF, the comments are not shown on the single pages, they are shown in a summary for the whole file. It is really hard to find the specific page for a single comment. Is there another way?
