Page metadata
I am looking for the APEX table(s) that can show me the information about pages, such as page numbers and their page names of a given application. I looked into several WWV_FLOW tables that have the work PAGE in their names in the schema APEX_040100, but cannot find the information I need. That schema has hundreds of tables so it takes meforever to go thru all of them.
Could anybody let me know where I can find that information ?
Thanks,
Vu

How can we access Page metadata in DataView Webpart in SharePoint Designer 2013?
Hi,
I need to access Page metadata in my Data view web part and I am having a feeling, that the "Form" option can help me getting Page metadata, but I am not able to get much information about using this field as a parameter source on net? Can
anybody advise, how to use "Form" option in "Parameter Source" in SharePoint Designer 2013
OR Suggest me any other way to get Page metadata in Data View Webpart?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Deepali
DeepaliHi Deepali,
All the parameter source are ASP Request Object collections which is used to get information from a visitor.
For accessing page metadata, you can select Server Variable.
For more information ,you can refer to the following article:

Edited by: C@rlitos on Sep 30, 2009 6:14 PMHave you configured your Infra with a new hostname on a different port ?
Unless, you had installed your OAS with custom ports, and have not used the default ports for the components, your lsnr_token for the newurl has a problem. orasso and sso should be configured at 7777, and by default they configure at that port. That means that your newURL should be pointing to http://newurl.com:7777/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login for the ls_login_url.
This might have happened due to some error in registering your portal with the SSO. Have you used custom ports for your installations?
Additionally, did you configure your newurl on port 80? -

Muse CC 2014 Crashing when I try to edit Page Metadata / HTML section
Muse CC 2014 is crashing consistently when trying to edit Page Properties / Metadata / HTML. It appears that if I try to do Copy Paste of some text into this box, without already having a blinking cursor in the box, that Muse crashes with the error displayed in the attached image. This has happened several times now. I am running using Creative Cloud in OS-X 10.9.3. To get here I right-click on the page, page properties.., click on Metadata, click in the HTML... box and CMD-V to paste. I have pasted the text several times successfully.
This is a know regression issue in RoboHelp 11.0.3. The only workaround for now is to open the SLP files with notepad or another editor.
You can report this issue at: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform&product=38 Though Adobe is already aware of this issue, this form gives them an estimate of how many people are using this feature. And the more people report it, the more likely it is to be fixed quickly.

Preserving Pages metadata when printing to PDF
When I print a Pages document as PDF, I'm given the option to provide metadata such as title, author, subject, and keywords. I already inputted this information into the Pages file, under the Document Inspector. Is there a way for Pages to automatically repurpose these values for the PDF edition?
I tried Exporting as a PDF but that didn't preserve this data either.
-KenI checked in both Preview and Acrobat Pro.
You are right, it seems Pages keeps this just as internal metadata.
Seems pretty useless. Tell Apple:

Accessing page metadata on a content web part to generate a custom link.
This is what I am trying to do in Sharepoint 2013...
Page1 has a metadata element which tags the page to a department (e.g. Finance, HR, Operations etc) and another element that tags the page to a location (NY, London, Brussels etc). On a new web part on the page I want to create a link to another page, Page2.
Through the link, I want to pass the value of these metadata elements to Page2. On Page2, through an onload JS function, I want to change the value of some field (text or dropdown etc) using the passed values.
I am having trouble figuring out a way to perform the page1 actions. I need to understand how to generate a URL based on the metadata elements, which will contain parameter values equal to these element values. I'd appreciate any help in understanding the
way to do this.
Regards,
VRAHi Vinay,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to generate a URL which contains the tags of the page1.
I recommend to programmatically get the tags of the page1 in SharePoint first, please refer to the link below:
http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/uploadfile/anavijai/programmatically-get-all-the-social-tags-for-the-specified-url-in-sharepoint-2010/
After that, we can set the URL like this: http://server/pages/page2?department=Finance&location=NY. (Finance and NY are an example of the tags gotten programmatically)
Then we can pass the parameter values of the tags to page2 using JavaScript.

Best regards.

Updating Portal Page Metadata Thru Scripts
Hi all,
Thanks for taking the time to review this post.
Production Environment Details:
Portal 10.1.4.1.0
RDBMS 10.2.0.3.0
Platform Linux
I have a large number of Portal pages (78) and sub-pages (20 per page) within a Page Group that I need to update the Metadata (actually the sub-page Name). Each parent page has the same 20 sub-page Names for navigation purposes but these have defaulted to the Display Name. This would be an extremely time consuming and tedious task to have to edit each sub-page's property page and update the fields.
Does anyone know if I can update this information thru scripts? Or even which table and column within the Portal schema that contains this information?
Thanks for your assistance.
Kind Regards,
Gary. The entry could have a format similar to :

There are three important parameters when it comes to SSL :
(i) UsePort - This will override the Port picked up from the Virtual Host used by the incoming user page request IF THE USER REQUEST WAS USING HTTP.
(ii) Use Scheme - This will override the scheme used by the incoming user page request. Typically it will allow you to make the PPE requests HTTP when the incoming user request was HTTPS.
(iii) HttpsPorts - This will override the Port picked up from the Virtual Host used by the incoming user page request IF THE USER REQUEST WAS USING HTTPS. This is true even if the SSL is terminated by an external device such as a Load Balancer. -

ManishMax limit for identifier/column name is 128 character. What if the description is more than 128 character ?
However if the identifier or description is less than 129 then we can do it using dynamic query. Refer below,
declare @tablename varchar(100)='myTable'
declare @sqlstring varchar(max)
;with cte as (
select st.name [Table],sc.name [Column],sep.value [Description]
from sys.tables st
inner join sys.columns sc on st.object_id = sc.object_id
left join sys.extended_properties sep on st.object_id = sep.major_id
and sc.column_id = sep.minor_id
and sep.name = 'MS_Description'
), cte1 as (
select [Table],[Column],case
when [Description] is null then [Column]
else left(cast([Description] as varchar(200)),128) end as [Description]
from cte
select @sqlstring= Stuff((select ',[' + [Column] + '] as [' + [Description] + ']'
from cte1 where [Table] = @tablename

set @sqlstring = 'select ' + @sqlstring + ' from ' + @tablename

Exporting Page Metadata from Repository
I am using the Export.bat to export the page from MDS repository but unsuccessful in exporting the page. Does any one have example of how to export a page to C:\jdev\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\... from the repository?

Submitted content via UCM not showing up (blank page) in Oracle Webcenter
Hi All,
Once in a while (1/10, recently more and more), when users in our system Database Version:10.2.0.3.0 ---Oracle Database 10g Enterprise - UCM/Webcenter uploads new content via UCM or updating an existing content, they experience a blank page on the corresponding Webcenter page, i.e. all metadata on that content page in Webcenter appears to be blank.
In UCM the content metadata and all downloads are uploaded successfully. Our workaround is to enter the content via UCM and submit it without any changes to its metadata fields (blank submit). Sometimes, it takes more then one blank submit.
Another problem that might be related to this is downloads related items of the parent record on the content getting zero size length on Webcenter. Again, our workaround for this is to blank submit the related items via UCM, or re-upload these downloads via UCM so they be downloadable in Webcenter side.
If more info needed for this please let me know.
Please provide your input.
Thanks,
Alex.I probably didn't explain myself. We have two UCM instances: contribution and consumption. UCM contribution instance used to submit/update new/existing contents. These content aren’t available immediately on the Oracle Webcenter, instead, these contents replicated to the UCM consumption instance and available from there to Oracle Webcenter.
We never update/create new content via UCM consumption.
So, if for instance I've updated content xyz on UCM contribution, these changes are replicated to UCM consumption and then Oracle Webcenter can retrieve the info from content xyz and present this corresponding page.
I think the issue with blank pages (metadata fields - HCSP forms) or zero size download files has something to do with replication between UCM instances.
To fix this issue, we just submitting (blank submit - without changing any field) the form via UCM contribution instance, or we have to upload the same file again for it to replicate. -
Unable to edit a publishing page
Hi,
I have created a new page from the 'Gear' Add a Page option in a SharePoint 2013 publishing site. When I go to Edit page option, I don't see the ribbon with options to insert webpart, etc. Instead, I am presented with just filling out the page
metadata. Please help.
Shonilchi..Hi Shonilchi,
When we click the "Add a Page" from up-right "Gear" icon, it will create a wiki page, but it sitll could be inserted with "Insert" tab from ribbon.
Could you provide a screenshot for your issue?
Did this happen to all the pages, or only pages created by "Add a Page" from gear?
Please check if the IE with compatibility mode could fix the issue, and also check if other type browsers Chrome, Firefox, etc. could work.
Thanks
