Page moves when dragging anything in InDesign

Why does my InDesign page move when I am dragging text blocks or objects -- very frustrating when trying to position objects.
I've turned all the "snap tos" off where I can find any. Thanks very much. Rick

Not enough information. Waht do you mean the by the page moves? How are you selecting the object to move? Are you possibly using the Page tool instead of the Selection tool?

Cannot see items move when dragged

All of a sudden I cannot see objects move when dragged in Photoshop CC Mac. They wind up in a new position when dragged but I just can't see them move as I drag them. This would seem to be a preference but do not know where to change it.

Can't Choose Page Range when Exporting PDF from InDesign

Are you aware of this bug? If it's not a bug, how do I fix it?

Alternate layouts are used for things like horizontal and vertical orientations of the same layout for use on tablets. I suspect there's some coverage in the Help files -- being a print guy I don't mess with them.
It may be that you only have one layout and ID just shows you that one inthe dropdown. I can't recall that I ever used the dropdown to try to select the range -- I always just type what I need in the field.

How to make JPanel not to move when dragged using mouse

There is no built in support for dragging a panel with the mouse, so you must have custom code.
So as the question is stated we aren't able to help you.
If you need further help then you need to create a [url http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html]Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.

Rules move when changing length in InDesign CS5

Whenever I change the length of rules in CS5, the rule will then proceed to jump around on the page. Is this some simple setting I'm overlooking? Really slows down workflow when you have to change a rule length and then go and move the rule back to where it was. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

How large a change are wi talking about here? Small enough that it might be accounted for by something like an end cap on the stroke, or some larger random number?
Is it happening in all files, or just this one? If it's just this one, try Remove minor corruption by exporting but if it happens in all files and trashing the prefs didn't work I'm stumped for the moment. Can you post a link to a sample?
Just for fun, set Live Screen Drawing to Delayed. I don't think it will make a difference if you aren't using the mouse, but it's worth trying.
And are you using the Selection tool (black arrow) or Direct Select tool (white arrow), to select the rule?

Importing movies: when dragging displays link icon

I am unable to import a few movies into itunes. When I attempt to drap them a link icon appears.

Free software that can "rip" your home made DVD's. Save these folders on your external drive and view them using the DVD Player application.
You can also use the Disk Utility app to make a "New Disk Image from Folder". At creation you can also select "DVD/CD master" under the Image Format option. This will allow you to duplicate the files onto a new DVD.
To play these .dmg files you first "mount" the DVD (double click) and then use the DVD Player (Open File) to view them.
These MPEG-2 file formats will not open in iMovie or iDVD without first converting them using third party software. I use:

I can't get the pages to move when I highlight them?

I am trying to move a page forward or behind. It won't move when highlight it and drag.

Adobe Reader cannot move pages or otherwise edit PDF files.

Oops, I forgot a step between 7 and 8 ... before syncing the iPhone I need to explicitly send the document back to iTunes on the iPhone, or the changes won't come over at all ...
and then one more thing ... Numbers on iOS does NOT recognize a number of key features of the OSX app, such as conditional formatting ... so after editing my document on iOS and syncing it back to OSX on my Mac, all of those settings are lost (no more conditional formatting, have to do it all over again)

The Move Tool not working in InDesign CC 2014, no click-and-drag. What Can I do to fix it?

It just started not working this week. I am unable to click-and drag anything in my document with the Move Tool. I have noticed that I can click-and-drag objects if I switch to the Free Transform Tool. Ok work around for now but I want to fix the issues. I have tried deleting the preferences and reinstalling the program but with no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have looked into replacing my preferences but I cannot find a good preferences in which to copy and use.

FONT ISSUES: Fonts work perfectly in Indesign 5.5 but not when dragged into CC.

When I open a file using Indesign 5.5, it is absolutely perfect. When I drag it to Indesign CC, it tells me that there are fonts missing. Then I cannot update those fonts because they dont appear. My font management software (Suitcase Fusion) is completely up to date. It has become a big problem for us.

Willi, That was plan b according to Adobe support. I'm pretty sure that packaging the file while in 5.5, then opening in CC would have worked.
Plan A (from Adobe support) worked which was copying the necessary fonts from the system (or from packaging the file in 5.5), into The fonts foler located in "Applications-->Adobe InDesign CC-->Fonts".

After modifying an imported image from illustrator, the imported image's position moves within the frame of Indesign CS6 when the link is updated.

You have not provided any relevant information, so nobody can know. you can simply have added content that expands the bounding box. Well, whatever, ask in the relevant forums and be much more specific.

Objects move when adding pages

When I add/remove pages, or just move pages around in my document using the Pages panel, random objects on some pages move. They normally move just a slight amount, and stay with the page, but it is very annoying. I never know which objects will move, and I have to spend a lot of time trying to find the ones that have moved. Then if I move pages again, or add/remove pages, other random objects move. Does anyone else have this problem, or know how to stop it?

See http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990 If you don't know what layout adjustment is, it's not likely that you've turned it on, and it probably wouldn't do this anyway except to move objects snapped to guides on master pages that have different left/right layouts.

You need to set up the pages appropriately for the target device. For iPad that's 1024x768.

With Numbers 3.2 (released April 2014) drag and drop works on my machine again, either onto the canvas or into an existing table.
What also works (as Wayne described): select multiple contacts, command-c to copy, and (after clicking the canvas or a cell) command-v to paste.
