Page problem when saving numbers as to PDF

I know how to print numbers to PDF file, but I want move some content to the next page, because they're a whole unit and I can'g separate them, but it seems numbers can't break a page manually, is there any one know a solution? thanks in advance.

There has never been "insert Page Break" in Numbers. Layout In Numbers 3 is even more clunky.
Are those those objects grouped?
To arrange objects on a page, the Alignment Guides will help:
Numbers > Preferences > Rulers > Alignment Guides. Tick every box. The Guides do not print.
Menu > View > Show Rulers.

Inconsistant page sizes when converting from word to pdf

My word file has A4 sized pages and A3 sized pages.
When I convert them to PDF, the content on the A3 pages get cut off.
I want to keep the 2 different sized pages in my document.
How can I fix this?

To maintain links you have to use the PDFMaker plugin. I'm guessing it's
not available for your combination of Office and Acrobat, so you're out of
luck.

Problem when saving business partner on creation or changing

When i create a business partner in fmcac1 it is taking an eternity when saving. i am also encountering the same problem when saving changes in transaction fmcac2. its hanging when i click the save button but if i terminate the job the changes woul have been made. what might be causing the problem.
When i terminate the process am getting the message as shown below

well there are really many possibilities for that.
have you once waited, if the task will finish?
if it does finish i would suggest to do a SQL-Trace with TA ST05.
If this is possible, the performance trace will show you quite by detail where your process time is beeing used.
To find out why so much time is used in that position then is another thing.
But once you got the problem identified you should be able to exlude some reasons like (inperformant selects or such).

Problem when saving a PowerPoint 2008 for Mac file to PDF.

When I save my PowerPoint 2008 for Mac file as a PDF, the text/font comes out wrong in the PDF -- kind of looks degraded (thinner, darker, more pixilated). I've tried changing the font in the PowerPoint file many times and tried saving it as a PDF both directly and through print -- but each time the text/font doesn't come through correctly in the PDF. The images/photos in the PowerPoint file all convert to the PDF just fine. Can anyone help?

Problems when Saving as PDF in Framemaker 9

Hello,
Our department is having a couple of problems when 'Save as PDF' is used to create a PDF in FM9.   We all use WindowsXP.
Problem #1: No PDF created.   A window appears stating that Distiller 5.0.5 or higher is required; we all have Distiller 9.0 installed. So it doesn't seem to recognize that Distiller 9.0 is available. NOTE: When PRINTING to PDF there are no issues, it is uses Distiller 9.0 as expected.
Problem #2: PDF is created but chunks of text are missing.
We need to Save as PDF in order for our reviewer comments to automatically be added when importing back into Framemaker.
Can anyone help?

Since you mention that you're on XP, have you installed the PostScript
printer Hotfix from Microsoft?
That would be my starting point for trouble-shooting because it
specifically addresses at least one of your issues.

Problems when i copy text from Pdf and paste on Word

In Pdf documente the text is in perfect conditions, but, when i copy the text and paste in WORD document the character change into random crazy character like: "()*"*&!(!*"(!"(!)"( )*"()!*("!&("@*")(!*@"!*@(
how i fix this??

I have the same problem when copying the PDF into a Word file. I tried Save as RTF doc. and it is still just symbols.
It could be a font problem, because it has some weird Gill Sans and Futura fonts. I am sending a picture as an example.
The option of exporting as Tiff and then applying OCR is interesting but still is kind of slow when i have a 100 pages document. If the fonts is the problem is there any way i could select the whole text and apply it a known font like Arial?

Help, How do I get rid of the grid marks when converting Numbers spreadsheet to PDF?

I'm having an issue when Converting numbers documents in to PDF. When I export to PDF, I get an additional page or two of gridlines..
I also get the chart lines and cell lines showing up on my PDF.
My equipment is MacBook Pro Mid 2012 - OSX 10.9.2
Running Numbers version 3.1

Resize the table so it only contains the relavent cells for what you are printing by dragging the table resize controls:
activate the table, then drag size control:

Preinstalled Pages quits when saving

I got my new iMac preinstalled with Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
The update wouldn't work in Appstore so I downloaded it manually. Even after update (and I checked in the apps that they were the current version Pages 4.3 etc) Appstore still asked me to update apps
Ever since updating whenever I try to save in any iWork program it quits. (Not fun as I am currently writing my MA thesis!) Deleted Pages, Numbers and Keynote to try to reinstall, but only Keynote showing up in my purchases to reinstall. Did that and it appears to be working fine. Put back Pages and Numbers from trash. Still can't update in Appstore (even though they are up to date). And still quiting whenever I try to save.

Turns out it only quits when saving to iCloud. I still don't know why!

Error "Session Timed Out" When saving webi report as PDF

I am getting below error when saving report as PDF
The Session Timed Out.The document *.wid has been auto saved in the Favorites~WebIntelligence Folder..Click Restore to retrieve it.
(ERROR : WIJ600001).
I get above error in PROD but works fine in DEV.
Version : BOE 3.1 SP7 (DEV & PROD).
Session Time out set as one hour.
Report runs for 3 minutes .once I get the data if I try to save it as PDF immediately I get the above mentioned Error.

The default Webi auto-save is every 600 seconds, which is 10 minutes. You could increase it to 3600 seconds (1 hour) in CMC -> Applications > Web Intelligence > Properties > Auto-save Settings on "Auto-save time delay".

Link problem when converting MS Word to PDF with Acrobat Professional

Hello all,
I have the following problem:
When I have a MS Word document with links to other files inside and I convert it to PDF the links are converted from relative paths to absolute paths.
The problem is created by Acrobat as the links in the MS Word file are relative (I have checked this by moving the different docs to another directory and confirmed that the links still work after the move).
How can I make the paths in the PDF relative again? I know there is a plugin from Evermap (and I can confirm this works) but I do not want to use this plugin (=read: spend another $190 dollars) as the license for the Acrobat Professional is expensive enough . Is there a way I can convert the paths within Adobe Acrobat easily? Or better: can I adjust the settings in Acrobat to a new standard when all converted documents contain relative paths?

Dear Steve,
I have tried what u suggested: I put all the documents (word + linked documents) into the same folder on the local-drive (C). Then I recreated the links in the word document to be sure they were matching. After that I converted the word document to an PDF and confirmed the links were still working in the PDF document.
Then the biggest challenge: copying the pdf and linked documents to another drive&directory. As you can guess: Unfortunately the links did not work anymore.
Any other suggestions?
If I use the Evermap-tool (30 day-trial) I can look at the links and this is how it is 'coded' in the pdf.
first link: ../../../../test/link_a.pdf
second link: ../../../../test/link_b.pdf
and yes this will work if you put the documents in the directory test in the root of the local-drive but not in a different subdirectory.
Anyone ideas?

Problem when saving the outline

Hello:
We're working with Essbase 9.3.1.
When saving an outline with EAS, the message windows "Starting save of outline" appears and it never close (even if the modification is as simple as adding an alias or an UDA). We've found that If we make Ctrl+Alt+Supr and press cancel in the client machine, the message disappear inmediately. So, it seems a Java problem. Does anyone knows any solution for this issue?

I take it you are accessing EAS through the web client, if you it will probably down to using the 1.6 JRE.
You can install the 1.5 JRE and go to control panel > java > Java > disabled the 1.6 versions and keep just the 1.5

How to retain font-size when saving filled in form (pdf)

Hi,
I have a pdf form from an organization and when I fill in the (text)boxes, the more text I put in there, the font-size will adjust to fit everything in. However, when I save the pdf file and view it in a different pdf reader the font-size is too big and half of the text is not visible.
Also, the form contains some checkboxes/radiobuttons. When filling in the form they work just fine, but when saved and viewed both the yes and no are checked, even though I only checked one of them.
Anyone have any idea how I could fix this?

Ow.. I don't know the solution yet, but maybe something went wrong earlier with someone else who filled it in partially. I found the original on the internet and that seems to work so far.

System.read.in(); -problems when inputting numbers

Very wet behind the ears when it comes to java and having problems in inputting numbers. My course requires me to write a program that converts degrees c to degrees f. An addition is to have the user input the value of degrees c. When I input a value, say 0, then instead of c being that value it is 49 instead (maybe ASCII?). I sense that the problem is the System.in.read(); bit. I've preceded it with (int) and also tried (char) but to no avail. The other problem is how to get the program to accept a double figure or treble figure input (i.e 20 degrees c). My program is below. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

so for emp service india role no error , when i opened emp service - ap we have diff I views under personal info iview we have address
so please let me know how to rectify it

I'll explain more detailed:
1. Checking the several Netweaver JAVA Stacks of your components in portal should be the first step. You can do this by going to "http://<host>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo" on your Portal Server and taking a look at the Netweaver Stacks, they will usuall Start with "7.XX' SP XX". The components should all have the same stacklevel excluding Business Packages, XSS Java Components and Connectors. If you are unsure what do to, you should ask your portal guys to update the stacks.
2. Check whether Business Packages Match with the XSS Java Components and whether the XSS Java Components match with the corresponding Stacks in Your Backend. You can do this using the maintenance optimizer and/or using this wiki which gives a nice overview explanation: https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/HOWTOGETRIDOFSPSTACKMISMATCHISSUES
3. Check whether there are any Browser Compatibility Issues (very unlikely..) at https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/pam.
4. Post the entire log for the error you get. Do this by reproducing the error, then go to "http://<host>:<port>/nwa". From there navigate to "Monitoring", "Protocols and Traces". Select "Default Trace", search for your error, go into detailed View and copy the entire LOG to post it here.
