Page settings

Hi Experts,
I am developing a form layout for PO/RFQ..etc.
When no of items are increasing(say >10 items) more than 1 page, the items are not going to another page. I can see 2nd page for output.
Ihad designed logo and 3 text boxes in master page and then some 3 more text boxes & repeatable sbform items on Body page.
Can some one please tell me where i am going wrong?
Thanks
Dan

Hi,
In the subform properties in pagination tab see that you are giving  the option as continue filling the parent and also that the form is flowed in WESTERN Text . Check box on for "Allow page break within content.
Finally on  Master page, see that the Content area is adjusted with the page to leave enough space for header & footer. In you case leave some 5 lines for header (in master page).
Please let me know if you want more help.
Thanks

  • Discoverer viewer -- export to pdf doesn't retain page settings.

    Hi,
The report output in discoverer viewer is much different from that of plus. I am concerned abt the report headers. In discoverer plus, the headers are left, center and right aligned.
But in viewer, every thing is aligned center. How can I get the report o/p (same as that of plus) in viewer??
    Thanks

    Hi there
did you fix it in Viewer?
I am also getting the same issue, I have made my page setting in Discoverer Plus , when I go use Discoverer Viewer use the Printable page to get the PDF file, the layout does not shows the same page settings what I did in Discoverer Plus.
    Thanks

  • Export to PDF doesn't retain page settings

Create a report with lots of columns and then change the page settings to be landscape and shrink to fit. Now run the report and print the report as a PDF. It works as expected.
Now export this same report as a PDF. The export will not retain the page settings. Instead, it will export the PDF in portrait and it will not shrink to fit.
If you email the report to someone, it also doesn't retain the page settings.
I opened a TAR on this issue and I was told this was not a current feature of Discoverer. Exporting does not retain page settings by design and it would be an enhancement request to get this new functionality.
We build a lot of custom Oracle Reports right now so that users can drill from one level to another. With OracleBI Discoverer, I can now do this with linking to sheets. With Oracle Reports, I can render the report in PDF format which is a business requirement. With OracleBI Discoverer, I can do this too except I can't export the PDF because it doesn't fit on the page correctly.
    Anyone else need this functionality?
On another "enhancement request" note, I would like to be able to schedule exports. OracleBI Discoverer is getting close to providing an alternative to Oracle Reports which is great because it is faster to build and deploy reports and it is licensed by the CPU so I don't have to worry about buying Report Builder licenses. Lastly, business users can build their own reports rather than someone in IT doing it.

ok, here's what I have found out (thanks to our Viewer guru, Matthew):
The print/PDF preferences are currently not saved, so you are right when you say you have to re-apply those settings.
However, there is a way to persist these changes within a session (note that since these changes are session-resident only, you will lose them once you exit Viewer).
The short one line explanation of the workaround is to make the changes using the 'Printable Page' link, generate a 'Preview' or the entire PDF report, and then use the worksheet breadcrumb link to return to the worksheet. This ensures that the PDF changes you made are available during the sesion to the worksheet. You can always undo these settings by clicking the 'Revert to saved' link.
I have posted the same information, but with screenshots, to http://oraclebi.blogspot.com/2005/12/pdf-settings-in-viewer.html

  • How to change page settings trying to print 4 photos in 8/11 sheet

Using my I pad wirelessly to hp envy 4500, I don't have the option to change my page settings, any help

    Hello Julianoadel,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you are looking to print four pictures onto a 8.5x11 page from your iPad to the ENVY 4500. When printing with an iPad you have very little options to change / adjust when printing, this is caused buy the limitation of AirPrint.
I do now know if this will give you the option to print the four pictures on one page, but it will provide more features and settings for printing, install and use HP ePrint App on the iPad.
    Cheers,

  • Acrobat 9 Pro PDF is not retaining original page settings from Word doc

The document I am trying to put into PDF format (from Word 2000, using Acrobat 9 Pro (trial version)) drops my original Word page settings (5.5" x 8.5") and defaults to 8.5" x 11" in the PDF.  Using "Crop Pages" does not remedy the situation - the doc just stays at the larger size in Acrobat/PDF. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Change the paper size in the printer properties before creating the PDF. This is the same as putting the proper paper in a physical printer.

  • Pager Settings in sap

I am using ECC 6.0 with Sql Server 2005,
I have to create pager settings on my ecc 6.0 to receive messages on mobile phone through SAP.
Can anyone giude me. how to do that?

    Hi,
There will be two domains on for inbound and one for outbound.
If u want to send message from system to mobile  sending domain should be default domainn set in SAPconnect and  recieving domain should be your service provider to whom message will be sent.
    For Detailed go through this:

  • Printed page smaller than page settings

Hi. Not sure if anyone's got experience with this, but for some reason in Office 2008, Word seems to have reduced the size of the page layout settings by about 30%. In other words, with page layout set to A4 sized paper, the print preview and actual printed page both act as if the print area is smaller than the actual page. The font is reduced, the space between lines, everything. So, although the font is set to 12 point, it comes out much smaller. I've checked page settings on both the printer and Word preferences (both are set to A4), updated the printer driver, and everything else I can think of. When I go back to my previous version of Word, no problem. Can anyone comment? Thanks.

Have you checked the default setup in like TextEdit under Page Setup, or made a new Default Page Size?

  • Adding additional pages to the universal driver's special pages settings

    Hi.
Ok I have a 3 tray HP laserjet 4050 printer that we use for printing works orders.
I have it set up so that page 1 will print from say tray 3 and then page 2 will print from tray 1 etc but I really need to beable to get the printer to print pages 3 and 4 from a different tray also.
I am using the HP universal 5.5 driver as the 4050 does not support special page printing. Problem is the Special Page settings (through driver 5.5)only seem to support first and second page printing.
Is there a way to get it to add a 3rd and 4th page to this section?
this issue is now becoming a serious problem for me work wise.

He is using the blog template to create a blog.
The photo on the main page has been highlighted and then selected as a link to the "entry".
Select "iWeb help" form the "help" drop down menu and you will find information about making a blog.
Then go to the section on "working with text and adding links".
If you are really new to this I would recommend you watch the video tutorials that can be accessed from the iWeb "help" menu.

  • Saving 1 page changes another page settings

I know that there is an easy solution to my issue.  I have a copy of a website that I wanted to duplicate its features.
I have a copy of another website (A) locally that I want to copy.  In CS4, I defined a new site, opened a document which I named index.  Then I opened a page from site A, copied all the “Style and Layout” settings as well as the code from site A page to my index page.  I displayed correctly and I went about changing stuff and once done, I saved the index page with success.  Looks good with my changes and I’m happy.
I then created page 2 for my site, and opened a 2nd page from site A that I wanted to create my second page equal too, copied all the above files from 2nd page of site A to my second page for my site.  I made all the changes to my page and saved page 2 for my sight.
However, when I opened my index page, my 1st page, the settings that I saved from the 2nd page that I created, changed the settings to my 1st page.
Now, I know that is directly associated with the style and layout css, but, how do I go about saving a page settings without affecting another page settings successfully?  I figure it’s a easy step, but, I’m not in the mood after many hours of work.
Thanks for your help if you know the solution to my issue.

    All work is local.
    OK.
Unfortunately you'll have to make do with the hit-and-miss guesswork already evident in this thread.

  • ICloud keeps switching off in Pages settings

In the Pages settings on the iDevice I turn on iCloud. I go to Pages; come back to settings and see it switch off. I try to share from Pages to iCloud on the iDevice and it offers sharing to the iDisk, but not to iCloud. I can upload from Pages on the Mac to iWork, and I can upload a Pages document to iWork.com from the iDevice, but I can't get to iWork in iCloud. I'm not sure where in the mess of transferring the hang up is, but the one thing I cannot do is pull a document from iWork or iCloud onto my iDevice.
    Thanks.

That to add to your confusion is another way of saving documents from iWork apps (on iOS devices).
By opting to save an iWork document to iTunes, it makes it available in the panel in iTunes you have included an image of. This was actually the prescribed method for moving documents between iOS devices and OSX if one wasn't using iWork beta and before iCloud.
Since my set up is working for me, let me try (by example) to describe how iCloud works:
I work in commercial property, I have from time to time to prepare leases. I may start a lease on my mac, get so far, and do something else. At that point I will upload what I've done to iCloud.com, thereafter I can open it on either of my iPads and continue to work on it. If I work on it on one iPad, I can pick up the second iPad and continue to work where I left off.
If I need to work on the document on my mac, I must then download it from iCloud.com before doing so, and if it isn't finished, I need to upload it again so my iPads see the most recent version, in order to keep working on it.
Whilst doing all this, I will often save the document as I work on it on my iPads to iTunes (I treat this as a back up mechanism, should any of the iCloud syncing go wrong)
Hopefully Apple are working on a way to eliminate the need to upload and download the document to/from OSX and the whole thing will become significantly more useful.
Once a document is completed, I'll file it on my mac and remove it from iCloud.
You may or may not see this a lot more clearly when it works properly for you, right now your problem is that iCloud.com doesn't recognise the iWork apps on your iOS devices. It seems to be a problem that doesn't yet have an answer we can all share with others, although I did have the problem myself and now don't as a result of the procedure I described previously.
What I'd likme to do, is try to discover where your set up might be different to mine and if you did anything differently while following that procedure.
Did you determine whether your iCloud ID is the same as the ID used to purchase the iOS iWork apps.
What did you tell the iOS device device to do with your documents when you turned off iCloud for a particular app.

  • CS6 page settings using Property inspector will not save [subject edited by moderator]

I have a student who is working on building a webpage using a CSS template. They are trying to change their page settings (for example, the color of their hyperlinks) using the menu at the bottom of the page. However, these settings will not save. If anyone can give me an idea of how to move forward, I would appreciate it. Thank you

Which version and build # of DW CS6?
Do you have all the latest updates?
    Also which operating system?
Has DW always behaved this way or is this something new?

  • Pon opening firefox, some pages are small, others large. On IE, there is a setting where it remembers the page settings. Is there one on firefox I can't find?. in English

My computer had a virus so I reformatted. This was about a month ago. Now when I open Firefox, the page settings are not correct and I have to keep zooming in and out to be able to read web pages and it does not remember page settings like IE did. Is there a setting for this, to remember page size? I am on Windows XP and Firefox is my browser, version 3.6.4.

If you need to adjust the zoom and font size on websites then look at:

  • HELP !!! can i change page-settings for a single page ??

    hi all,
i´ve got a problem with my document settings:
can i change the settings (especially the documentborders) for a single page, without changing the settings for the whole other document pages ?
    for example: page 1 --> border left 2cm , right 1cm
    page 2 --> border left 4cm , right 1cm
    PLEASE HELP ME !!!

    Hello mamamague
All you need to do is select Insert->Section Break. A new page will be started. To adjust the margins you need to select the Layout Inspector (second icon on the top of the inspector) and adjust the margins in there. The Document Inspector still makes global changes and the layout ones are relative to them. It helps to turn Show Layout and Show Invisibles on so you can see what's happening to the document format as you play with these settings.
    Good luck!
