Page Setup not saved

I like my audience handouts and my speaker notes to be printed in Portrait rather than Landscape format. However, I am finding that Keynote does not save my page setup preferences: I change the Page Setup to Portrait orientation and then save my document, but the next time I open the document it is back in landscape format (even if I open a document that I just closed).
Any suggestions on how I can remedy this situation?

I could solve my problem. I had to import the CA certificate in "ACS Certification Authority Setup".

I'm not sure that Lion AutoSave feature apply to network servers.
I'm just sure that the Versions feature doesn't.

  • IE9 Page Setup Not Pulling from LaserJet P1102 Preferences

I am running IE9 on Windows 7 Home Premium with a LaserJet P1102 printer attached.  Software and drivers are all current.  I also have an Epson SX218 and Adobe Distiller 8 installed as printers.
When the Epson printer is set as the default, any changes I make to the printing preferences of that printer appear in the IE9 Page Setup, including the paper size -- especially the paper size (we use A4 paper here, not Letter), and orientation.
The same is true for Adobe 8 PDF and Adobe 8 PDF Converter -- preferences pass right through to IE9 Page Setup when either are set as the default.
When the HP LaserJet P1102 is set as the default, IE9 defaults to "Letter" and "Portait".
I have tried every possible configuration -- removing all printers, reinstalling just one, reinstalling all, reinstalling in a different order, changing the defaults, changing the preferences, warm booting, cold booting, different computers, and even additional printers from Canon and Epson -- and the results are always the same.
There is something about the HP LaserJet P1102 drivers -- and possibly other drivers -- that is not updating the registry correctly for IE9 to read it and it is therefore falling back to some sort of defaults (which I can't find, either).
It is very annoying that even when I have the HP LaserJet P1102 set as the default and the printing preferences set to A4, I still have to go into IE9 Page Setup and change the paper size to A4 in order to get the output to print correctly.
As a note, I believe the same problem may exist with Word 2007 -- it only prints correctly to A4 when the Epson printer is either the destination or the default.  If the P1102 is the default and A4 is the preference AND I print to it from an A4 document to A4 paper, it is automatically shrunk down as if to be fitting on Letter-sized paper.  If I set the Epson as the default with A4 paper as the preference and then select the P1102 as the destination with A4 paper, everything prints fine.
I would leave the Epson as the default with A4 as the preferred paper -- which would solve the problem, only we use the Epson for printing on Letter-size labels sheets and don't want to have to constantly change the print settings.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can correct this problem with the HP driver so that printing preferences from the P1102 will properly populate page setup in IE9 (and possibly Word 2007)?

Tom, when you are printing are you setting the printing preferences to match what you are wanting the printer to do? This would be done through Devices and Printers by right clicking on the printer and changing the defaults through Printing Preferences.
Beyond this, if you have already set this up beforehand, the browser you are using might not be correctly interpreting the information and may be sending band data to your machine. I would recommend "uninstalling" IE9 which will replace it with IE8 which has better compatibility with devices and programs.
Let me know! And happy New Year!

  • Default page setup not matching with document size.

working on Acrobat X 10.1.4, windows7 64bit, have created lots of boards in AI saved as PDF in Legal size but when opening to print thru Acrobat it always defaults to Letter, why cant Acrobat detect size? this is very annoying.
I did try using "choose paper source by PDF page size", same problem,
    Can anyone please help me.
    Thanks

Use Page Setup to set what you would like as defaults. Before clicking OK, choose Save As Default from the Settings popup. If you have more than one printer, I suggest selecting your default printer, as well.

  • Web pages are not saving and loading correctly

I recently designed my website, www.gregknightrolfing.com.
When I first put it together I gave it a certain look, then changed it and made the changes on every page.
But when I publish the website and upload it to the web, two of my pages (http://www.gregknightrolfing.com/ExtrasandLinks.html and http://www.gregknightrolfing.com/Directions.html)
remain as they had been in an earlier version.
Also, my hyperlink for "About Rolfing" is staying white, even though I change it to black
I dont know why when I save the website, those two pages and the hyperlink changes do not update.
    Help is greatly appreciated!
    thanks

  • Page not saved

This page is not saved as html file: http://www.zerozero.pt/equipa.php?id=19
After selecting SAVE in the menu, only the folder with the images is saved, the main html file is NOT saved.
Other files in this site save without problems.

That web page has an impressive long page name.
Firefox usually tries to use the page name by default to save the page and in this case this might not work if you accept the name that is offered.
I've shortened it to zerozero<i></i>.pt<i></i>.html and that did work for me.

  • Page Setup Settings Not Saved

My custon paper seize setting under 'User Defined Paper Size' that I 'save' are not in fact saved. I am printing a series of images on 11" x 13.5" paper with my Epsdon Stylus Photo R3000 and these setting do not remain as I go to a new print.
All these images have been printed previously with my Epson 2400, which i replaced with the 3000. When the 'Print' dialog box opens and the imates indicates the 2400 as the printer, and I switch that to the 3000 the setting after I click on 'Page Setup' reverts to the standard 8.5x11 size although I 'pull down' my appropriate saved setting.
Any help in resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Can you post a link to the article you are referring to?
I assume you have tried using a nother USB sync cable to help rule out the possibility of a faulty one?  What about plugging the iPod into a different USB port on your Mac?
It might help to remove any other USB devices you have connected to the Mac. Then reboot the Mac as well as your iPod by pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. Then try to resync.
Could you provide the full text from the error messages you are referring to?
Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes (10.6.3).

  • Page Setup / Paper Size not saved

    Hi,
I would like to change the default paper size for printing from US letter to A4. I change the paper size via File > Print > Page Setup > Paper Size to A4, but this setting is always lost once I close and restart Adobe Reader (paper size defaults back to US letter). I am using Adobe Reader X MUI on Windows XP at the moment, but I had the same issue with Adobe Reader 9.4.1 as well (there the menu is File > Page Setup > Paper Size).
Is there any way to make Adobe Reader remember a different default paper size (other than US letter)?
The printer has A4 as default in case anyone is wondering.
    Thanks!

  • IPages does not keep page setup when I save as template

I have created both an envelope and a 4 x 6 note card in Page Layout, both LANDSCAPE with custom, named, paper sizes, and saved both as a template in My Templates. In both cases, when I start a new project using either template, the page setup has the orientation as PORTRAIT and paper size as OTHER. How can I make sure the Page Setup options are saved in the template?

    shac
I have made a sample card and it works as expected.
    +Menu > File > Page Setup… > check Orientation vertical > click on the plus button > make a new custom page 6" wide x 4" high > Name and save+
    Design and Save As Template.
I think you have got confused with the orientation in the custom and Print As… options. They work together.
When the orientation is vertical, the measures must be width and height as you see it on your desktop.
Landscape orientation rotates the page just as you see it in the little icon, effectively turning it on its side.
It all has to do with which way it is fed into the printer. Horizontal custom + vertical feed = Vertical custom + landscape feed.
