Page size in Internet Explorer

Hello
I need to take print out from the web based application. I have EPSON XL 300 Dot Matrix printer and 10 inch X 12 inch sized paper.
Now when I go to Page Setup option of the Internet Explorer 6.0, I don�t find any paper option of paper my size and neither it has customer size option.
What to do in this case?

Sarcasm aside, yes it sounds like the driver needs to be installed on the computer for that particular printer.
This doesn't really belong in the JavaServer Pages forum, or even the Java Technology forums for that matter.
If you need help installing or finding the driver. Try searching google.

One of the pages in my website will not display the Amazon links to books I sell. Only one book, wiich is not on Amazon displays on the page. On Internet Explorer, all my books display. why?

Ever since converting my website to WordPress the "Recommended Reading" page doesn't display the book I listed that link to Amazon. Only one book linked to another website displays, but not of the Amazon Books.
This does not happen on Internet Explorer. I have asked this question last week but have not received a response.

EM 12c No link on Summary page Works on Internet Explorer

Hello,
I have upgraded 10gR2 repository and oms using 2-system zero down time approach on windows 64bit.
When I access the Weblogic Admin page using internet explorer, everything works fine. But when I access the Enterprise Manager Summary page (which is my default page), I have issues.
None of the links or options work. When I click on any option nothing happens. On the page status bar there is Error icon and by double clinking it shows detail error message that it is unable to create the object.
Is this a compatibility issue?
I have used the remote browser on 2 different laptops (XP and win 7) none of these work.

Will you guys believe this I created an SR regarding this issue 7 months ago and it is still open without any resolution. Oracle has to think about its poor support instead of introducing new things. Do you guys agree with this?

Pages requested from Internet Explorer are loaded to a Firefox window instead.

I just started getting "Secure Connection Failed" upon trying to log into a financial website that always worked before, so I decided to see if the same problem existed using Internet Explorer. I terminated Firefox, then started IE, which came up OK with my blank home page. But when I entered the URL for the website's login page, instead of coming up in the IE window, a Firefox window automatically started up, and the requested page came up there instead. So basically, I'm prevented from using IE for anything.

When you enter the URL for a website in the Internet Explorer browser, the page should open in Internet Explorer. It is then possible that clicking other links within that website could open in Mozilla Firefox if Firefox is set as your default browser. You'd need to ensure that Internet Explorer is set as the default browser.
As this is the Firefox forum, I'd suggest checking the Microsoft forum for further assistance on your Internet Explorer settings.

I also have avio laptop which i have no problem with printing on the same printer
I have checked internet option advance settings and both have the same boxes ticked
i have ticked and unticked boxes reset internet unstalled and reinstalled printer
I can save most pages to documents and then print from there this depends on whats in the page
The only thing that seem to make any difference was to untick the internet option security enable protection mode which would ineffect leave my computer vulnerable to attacks which is not advisible
would be very pleased to hear if this can be resolved

Script errors like this can happen with IE and while uncommon are not unheard of. With the print and scan doctor coming back fine we can move to troubleshooting the browser where the error originates. Full Page Background in Internet Explorer 8 and Below

I am currently trying to achieve a full page background image using the method found here: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Scale_Background_image_to_browser_size-17590.html
Everything works fine in FF, Chrome, and Safari, but when I preview the page in IE 8, the image shows up as being centered in the page and does not stretch to fill the whole browser.

As the tutorial says, don't apply this to the html tag, (there is no reason to apply anything to the html tag any more).
Move all the css that you have to the body tag css.

"New Document" button on ribbon not working in the "Master Page Gallery" in Internet Explorer 10 & 11

I'm trying to add a "JavaScript Display Template" to my "Master Page Gallery" but when I click on the "New Document" button and select "JavaScript Display Template" it opens the "Add a master page" dialog
and prompts me to upload a file. I've ran into this problem with "Compatibility View" set to both "On" or "Off". I'm able to upload files but I can't get the new forms to show up.
This happens on the root site collection site. For subsites, the "New Document" button is completely grayed out.
FYI - I am a site collection admin and in the "Owners" group for each site.
How can I fix this?

According to your post, my understanding is that "New Document" button on ribbon falied to work in the "Master Page Gallery".
In the root site, please make sure you enter all the necessary information when you upload file.
In the other word, you need to make sure the save the “JavaScript Display Template" successfully.
In the subsites, when you click the “Master Page” under Master Page Gallery in the sub site site setting page, the "New Document" button is completely grayed out.
If you want to add the template, you need to active the “SharePoint Server Publishing” feature in the Site sitting->Manage site features.
However, the “Master Page” under Master Page Gallery will become to “Master pages and page layouts”.
If you click the Master pages and page layouts”, you will go to the
Master Page Gallery of the root site, and then you can add Document.

Loading pages from a internet explorer gets blocked

hi my problem is simple,
in my jsp i have two window.open's, one opens a jsp directly and the other is sending a request to a servlet and it opens a jsp.
now the second one(redirecting to servlet) gets blocked if the blocking option is set, so i cannot view it from my IE or firefox.
I would like to know how can i solve this problem as i would like the window to open even if it is directed to the servlet.
Of course if i can only do it for this page then fine

One option I've tried is calling my custom Javascript method which then internally calls window.open
It works on any link - Html, JSP etc. A Servlet is just another URL I don't see why it should only block a Servlet.
What URL are you specifying for the Servlet?
normally if you map a URL pattern for the Servlet in web.xml , it looks like any other URL , for example /somepage , could be mapped to your Servlet.
Or perhaps you could even map the URL /somepage.html to a Servlet. ( I haven't tried it, but I think it should work.)

Rendering Page Problem in Internet Explorer 9

When i process a query to DB to show in my af:table, always appears the message: fetching data..., and data is never shown. Does it mean that ADF is not compatible with I9?

I created a web page in MS Word and saved it as html; it has lots of graphics; the graphics load perfectly in Internet Explorer but in Firefox there is simply white space where the graphics should appear

The web page is not live: I just load it on my computer. When I convert the .docx file to .html, the graphics are saved by MS Word in the usual folder as image001.png, up to image032.png.
I'm sure this is a trivial problem but I can't crack it.

Does that "local" page work in Internet Explorer, but not Firefox?
If so, it might be a \ vs. / problem with the file path for those images.

Two Separate Problems - 1) Some website elements missing in Internet Explorer and 2) Site manager page Locks up

1) I have two forms created in FormsCentral embedded on my website www.videoaldeco.com . They do not appear in Internet Explorer. They work in Firefox and Safari on my iPhone. However, the problem only occurs on this computer. I tried another PC and the forms appear fine in Internet Explorer.
2) When I go into Site Admin Console page from Muse, Internet Explorer locks up almost every time. Only Windows Task Mngr can shut it down. Then it wants to recover page. Recovering page only locks up again.

1) I am not able to replicate as it works on my end , form loads fine on IE. Please let me know the IE version you are using.
2) I don't see the same issue with site manager , please check the browser plugins and try to disable all and then check.

To set Internet Explorer page setup programmatically

is it possible to set the page setup of internet explorer from our Reports Developer Suite 9i. What i mean to say is to set the right, left, top etc. properties of Internet Explorer(6.0) programmatically via code from Reports Developer Suite 9i.
Please help me in this as it is very urgent.

You may explore calling WinAPI functions that does the necessary settingd as desired. You may implement this using Java (using native keyword) and call this method using Java Importer feature in one of the report triggers.
If you want a platform independent approach, implement this logic in a library (either .dll or .so) and then provide a wrapper for this implementation using Java.

Mc-icons not sized correctly in Internet Explorer

The file icons used by Sun One Web Server 6.1 (/mc-icons) to indicate file types do not display correctly when a directory does not have an index or default file, and the web server automatically creates an index that includes these icons and shows the directory contents. The icons representing the files appear correctly sized in Netscape Navigator 4.7 browser, but appear to shrink beyond visible resolution in Internet Explorere 6.0 browser. Fancy indexing (common) is being used. Platform is Windows 2000 Server, also running SSL3 and ColdFusion 7.0. How can we get the icons to display at a visible size in Internet Explorer? The result appears to the user as if the icon graphics are missing, but they are indeed called correctly by the page and the path to them is set correctly. I have verified that the graphics are OK on the server and are sized correctly when viewed in an image editor.

Are you sure the problem is the size of the icons? Beginning with version 6.0.2900.2190, Microsoft Internet Explorer stopped displaying the Web Server /mc-icons GIFs. This regression was apparently a side effect of Microsoft's attempts to fix IE's handling of malicious image files.
Apart from not using the buggy versions of IE, I'm not aware of a simple fix. I suspect a future Web Server 6.1 service pack will include a work around for the IE bug, but probably not until 6.1SP7.
I've added tweaked icons to my blog at http://blogs.sun.com/elving?entry=directory_listing_icons_and_ie that IE will display properly. You may wish to copy these into your ns-icons directory.

I visit this web page http://darkerprojects.com/section31.php and can only scroll 3/4 the way down the page and my internet explorer crashes most of the time. even when my X is reset to out of the box condition. Any way i can change the cache size or something?
Also I really really hate all the extra bloatware that i never use that is always in my way that verizon really likes to keep on my phone... makes me wanna do some homework on some alternative software.

Have you ever thought that it may be a site issue if it does it on the same page each time... Android doesnt have the issue WM have with low cache so its not needed to be changed.
Also I really really hate all the extra bloatware that i never use that is always in my way that verizon really likes to keep on my phone... makes me wanna do some homework on some alternative software.
I have to ask it, how is the software keep getting in your way? If app isnt opened and use you only see a icon.
