The viewport on a computer is adjustable by the user. iWeb sets the viewport width to the page width that you chose in the layout menu. No matter what the end user does, the page width is static and a reasonable compromise for the width of a web page that will be viewed on these devices is 980 to 1024 px.
Safari on iOS devices cannot set the viewport. The viewport on mobile devices is fixed and its width depends on the orientation of the device. The iPhone in portrait mode has a viewport width of 320px. This means that the 980px wide iWeb built page will be squashed down to about one third of its desired size making it unreadable and difficult to navigate.
Setting the viewport meta tag so that width equals the device width is a futile gesture since Safari on iOS will do that anyway. Its only useful if you add some initial scaling like...
<meta name = "viewport" content="initial-scale=0.7">
In the case of a 980px wide website, the initial scale is about 0.3 so any value higher than this will magnify the initial view of the site.
Here's an example of a 980px wide page that has been given and initial scale of 0.7 which allows an iPhone user to see one column of a two column layout...

As for the version, when I open pages from my apps and click 'about' it says version 5.1? And when I open the document it just goes grey and kind of blinks and doesnt open? No error message or any indication of why it will not open now when I for sure have opened it in the past! Andddd for the OS X I think it is 10.9.1 ??

I shoot with a camcorder Canon Vixia HF10. The camera has been set to deliver HD quality (1920x1080). But I have accidentally filmed with a frame rate of 60 (?).
When I import the films in iMovie I have been asked if I want to change to frame rate 30 (instead of 25). I have chosen 30.

Can I have more than one ipod touch on the same account, or must they each have their own ID.

i have 2 Mac laptops.. an Air and a Pro.. i usually synch my photos to my Air from my iPhone.. i'd like for the SAME photos currently on my iPhone (all photos, including all folders and libraries) to synch to my Pro as well.. so that the same photos and folders and libraries appear on all 3 devices (iPhone, Mac, Air).. how do i do that?.. thanks!
You don't you can only import the photos on your camera roll to your 2nd computer.

How to calculate Page Size that allows for Trim Marks?
I have made a Word document in 4.75" x 7' Page Size and the print company is demanding they have Trim Marks so they can
cut the document to the precise size.
I went to Save As in the Word doc and converted the Word doc to PDF, no problem.
Then I found how to insert Trim Marks onto the PDF using Adobe Pro 9.
The Trim Marks are L shaped but with the 90 degree corner bit missing so they look like 2 straight lines that would tell the
print company where the sides and the top and the bottom are to be cut if the 2 lines were extended to the intersection of the L.
Something like this for Top Left _I and this for the Top Right I_ and the mirror of those two for the bottom Trim Marks -
However when I use Acrobat Pro 9 to insert Trim Marks on a 4.75" x 7' Page Size, the Trim Marks themselves encroach on
the print area by about 9 mm or just under 0.375" because they are marking the corner of the page but it reduces the Page Size
by about 9 mm or just under 0.375" if I leave them there, ie, by the length of the Trim Marks themselves.
Is there a way to position Trim Marks where I want them?
If not then I presume I need to make my original Page Size bigger by the length of the Trim Marks all round?
If I need to up my original Page Size to accommodate the Trim Marks I need to know the exact length of the Trim Marks don't I?
Other wise if I get the length of the Trim Marks wrong they could either encroach slightly on the printed area or denote the
wrong Page Size.
Or perhaps I've got it wrong and it's not the 90 degree intersection that marks the Page Size but rather it is the other ends of the
Trim Marks where the Trim Marks touch the border of the 4.75" x 7' Page Size that denotes the Trim Size?
But that would mean the Trim Marks do not show up on the Camera Ready page and are not seen after printing but somehow I
don't think that's the case.

Help would be very much appreciated.Go to the Crop Pages command first and choose a page size bigger than the one you want. In Acrobat 8 it is at the bottom of the dialog box where it says change page sizes. Make sure to select for all the pages you want to have crops for. This will make the pages larger, but still no trim marks yet.
Next to to Advanced, Print Production, Add Printer Marks, choose trim marks. Make sure you have selected all the pages you wanted the trim marks to appear on. The trim marks will appear on your pages.
Kinda reverse of what you'd expect, but it will do it.
By the way this needs Acrobat Pro, not Reader.

I want to create a "Play All" chapter marker that will play the video from start to finish in addition to the standard chapters I have…I guess I can auto start the DVD but would prefer a button…how and where would I put this "play all" marker?? Thanks..
The start chapter button is a play the whole movie button regardless of how many other markers you have.
Once a DVD starts playing it continues to the end.
Chapters marker simply gives the viewer a place to start playback whether it be the start, middle or near the end.

Pages stores those you created & saved as templates in (your account) > Library > Application Support > iWork > Pages > Templates > My Templates. The user's Library is hidden in Lion & Mountain Lion but it is easy to open. In Finder, hold down the Option key while clicking on the Go menu & your user Library will appear about halfway down the list. Or you can choose Go to Folder from the Go menu in Finder & paste this line in the box:
~/Library/Application Support/iWork/Pages/Templates/My Templates/ -

Can I compress my songs in itunes - currently my 1600 songs are taking up 14 GB of room - I was told that the nano 8 GB could hold up to 2000 songs - is there a reason that my 1600 are taking up so much space. Someone suggested removing the album covers - is there a was to compress the songs I have out there.
1600 songs... it depends the individual size of each track. Not all tracks take up the same storage space.
If you want to have all 1600 tracks on one iPod, you need a larger iPod. -

i used an apple account of a friend to download apps to my iphone, the account then closed, now when i tried to update apps i download it from my account or i buy it using my account, its says that i have to put the password of my friend account, and if i want to update any app i downloaded or buy from my i have to delete it and download it again.
what can i do??As far as I know you should be prompted for the password for an account that 'owns' one of the apps that requires updating.
If all of the apps with updates are linked to your account and that is the account that is now logged in, then you could try a reset and see if that helps : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -
