Page Template not working right

Question

I have a page I want to save as a Template.
I go to File/Save as Template. It automatically saves it under the root folder instead of under the “www” folder where all my other folders are (Images, SpryAssets, pages) When I make a page from it, it loses all the CSS formatting. I tried dragging it under the www folder but then the DW can’t find it to make other pages from it. My web host told me I have to have all my site file under the www folder but Adobe DW keeps trying to put everything under the main site file.

                          When the Template file is in the www file, it won’t make other pages
            When it is in the Site-Dragonfly Toy Puppies file it loses CSS formatting
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

This is indicative of an improperly defined site.  Sites > Manage Sites > Edit...
The www directory belongs in your remote site info; not in your local site profile.
In the screenshot below, my host directory is htdocs.  This is where you should put www.
By default, DW saves .dwt files to a folder named Templates in the root of your local site folder. You must not move or rename either the Templates folder or the files it contains as this will break templates.
Your files panel in Local View should roughly resemble this:
Site - yoursitename (C:\site_folder)
     +Templates
     +Styles
     +SpryAssets
     +Images
     about.html
     contact.html
     index.html
     products.html
     services.html
