Page Text and Photos dissapear when I Publish

Here is a new problem I am encountering and wondering if there is anyone who knows how to resolve this. I have one certain page on my website that when I publish it to the desktop, and open it, the page header is there, but all the text and photos are gone. I'm using the "black" theme and I believe I used the welcome template. The page consists of a text box and photos, using the media place holders. The text is just white arial font, like on all my other pages. Since this is a page full of people writing in to the website, the correspondence from each person is separated by a graphic line. I have used the graphic line on other pages to separate want ads and on those pages, I am not having a publishing problem. I have already recreated this page from scratch once. It published fine a few times then one day all the text and pictures have disappeared again. Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong? I've tried deleting the cashe and we've tried "repair permissions - disk utilities."

I did a test and think I have found a clue on what is going on. I carefully recreated the original page from scratch first with text only. I published it to make sure the text would publish. Then I added the photos back to the page using the image placeholders. I then published again and both text and photos are still there. Next, I duplicated the page, called it Mail Page #2, and noticed as soon as the page was duplicated, the section with text and photos now has a "text Imaging Indicator" on it in that section. the original page does not have that indicator. When I published the site again and this page now is publishing blank (all black, text and photos missing; only the header remains and that actually is a text w/shadow, so its an image). The original page where the imaging indicator did not turn on, that page is still publishing normally. So this has something to do with iWeb converting that section that has text and pictures, into an image. Other than that, I am still at a loss as to why it happens or how to avoid it. If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. I will post back if I have additional info.

You mean while creating a book in iPhoto? Click on the layout button while viewing a page and select the layout that includes both text and photos. Most themes will have those options.

Did I lose my texts and photos

On Friday the 10th I restored my phone to factory settings. On Saturday I added my contacts back in and I received some important texts and took some important photos. On Sunday when I attached my phone to my laptop iTunes gave me 2 choices....start as new phone or restore to 10/10? I chose the latter b/c I had just restored as factory (new phone) and didn't want to do that again but what really happened was it restored everything to the way it was before I restored it to factory settings. So my question is are those important texts and photos that I received and took on Saturday gone forever or is there a way to get them? I did not sync my phone in between and when I log on to iCloud.com there are no photos but I'm not sure if that's b/c of something I did or b/c of IOS8.

You shouldn't lose these by changing the Apple ID on your phone. However, you should be importing your photos and videos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083) and backing up your contacts by syncing them with iCloud (Settings>iCloud>Contact>On), with a supported program using iTunes (such as Outlook, Windows Contacts or mac Address Book), or by using an app like My Contacts Backup.
Also, even after changing the Apple ID on your phone in Settings>Store you will still have to enter the password for his ID when updating apps purchased with this ID. (Apps and their updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them originally.)

I haven't tried videos on my camera yet. Do you use the Videos App to play them? I don't think they will play in the Photos App.
If yours are in a format that is not in Vazandrew's list, you may need to sync them to your computer and convert them to M4V or MP4 format. You can use a program like HandBrake to do the conversion. <HandBrake> Once converted, you can sync them back to the iPad and they should play.
This may not meet your needs, but the alternative appears to be getting a different camera. I don't know of another Video App that might work.

PDF forms have problems displaying text and only appears when the field is selected

I created some pdf forms to distribute to the company clients. But we are having some people complaining about the text visibility. When they have work in team, the pdf that they receive from a third person often appears unfill or without text, the text is only visible when the field is selected. I need to find a solution for this because our company products are base on this forms.
If there is any addition information that I should add to understand what is happening and how to fix it, I'll be happy to write it.
In the company, we all have mac and the forms where created innitially in Adobe acrobat 9 pro, but we have now Adobe acropabt XI pro.
The users have both Mac and Windows systems.

This is usually caused by the form being filled-in and saved by a Mac user who is using the Preview application to view the PDF. More information is here: http://kb2.adobe.com/community/publishing/885/cpsid_88564.html
It is a good idea to inform your users that Adobe Reader (or Acrobat) should be used to work with the forms.

Appleworks putting text and photo in an email

I am a new jack to the Mac world.
I have been trying to place a saved online photo within the body text of an email I wish to send out. So that the photo appears within the body text of the email when opened.
I do not want to send the picture as an attachment.

This isn't really an AppleWorks question, more of a Leopard one (or Mail and Address Book): however -
A picture added to an email is an attachment. If you place it within the text, most modern email clients will display it within the text: but a few will simply display it as an attachment with an icon. This is a matter of the capabilities of the receiving email client, or how it is set up by its user, and there isn't anything you can do to change that.

Text not showing up when I publish file.

On your iPad, do you see files in the Local Files section in the Acrobat DC app?
In iTunes on your desktop computer, please scroll down to the bottom of the Apps screen and select Adobe Acrobat in the File Sharing screen, as shown in the following FAQ document.

You may want to disconnect the cable and reconnect it.

How can I retrieve texts and photos from a lost iPhone without backup?

I recently lost my iPhone at a concert and unfortunately, it was never connected with iCloud, nor was it backed up to iTunes. I got a new iPhone and connected it to iTunes. Let me get this straight.....You lost your phone. You never backed it up, either to your computer or to a cloud service.

I have a Classic Ipod used for music and photos. When I downloaded latest version of Itunes, the photo facility seems to have disappeared, Why?

When prompted to download a new versionof Itunes (11.1.0) I did so but cannot now locate any facility for removing/adding photos. There is an Apache timeout directive that you can increase, which should solve both problems. It looks like after the timeout the request is being retried, which may be the result of a different Apache directive. The access and error logs should show you some useful information about these cases. Some other reader might offer what those directives are, I'm not sure.
That you are seeing the page processes complete even though the HTTP request times out is not strange. Once the server-side code is invoked, the request timeout cannot stop it.

I don't use any apps maybe once in a blue moon google a question. no games or navigation, don't shop, I do have facebook, but rarely use it.because I look on computer. I try to clear and close after each use. So what else can I do to prevent something eating data? I am a senior and don't understand gigs etc. Maybe a few times a month I might post from cell to email a pic.

Just because you do not use an app does not mean it is not doing something in the background.
Facebook, for example... If you have used it one time it can be uploading any photos/videos you take with your phone on a regular basis even if you don't open it up again. Have you checked your settings in these apps to only sync while on wifi. This can cause a lot of data usage if you did not.
If you don't feel you need the app, either delete it or disable it.
Once you open an app the first time, it is activated and unless you make sure the app settings are such that you will not use a lot of data, you should assume they will. Especially apps which have the capability to upload photos/video from your phone.

In pages app and photos i cannot send emails

In my Pages App and in Photos, on my ipad2, that I recently upgraded to IOS6.01, I cannot recieve the emails that I send directly from these apps. It makes the whooshing sound, as if sent, but it never arrives. Neither does it show in my sent items. If you tried using Apple's Messages app, that requires a Mac running Lion with the Messages app installed, or an iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch running iOS 5.0 or later with iMessage activated and enabled on the device along with having a internet connection.
Other than that, there may be a 3rd party app via the iTunes app store that may provide for this. Depending on the make of your son's phone if not an iPhone, there is at least one 3rd party app available with the iTunes app store with an Android and Blackberry version of the app.

If there's no backup, then there is nothing to restore.
In iTunes, under Edit > Preferences > Backups it should list the name that was assigned to the device.
