Pagefile exclusion for VHDs is not functional System Center DPM 2012 R2

The Release Notes for Data Protection Manager in System Center 2012 R2 state that:
Pagefile exclusion for VHDs is not functional
Description: Pagefile exclusion for virtual hard disk files (VHDs) is not functional.
Workaround: None.
I feel silly asking this in the forums, but my mind just can't wrap around the fact that this feature (that was just recently added in DPM 2012 SP1) is broken in the new release of 2012 R2. Does anyone with actual knowledge of the product have any
additional info on this issue? Do we need to wait for a service pack to fix it or are there possibly ANY workarounds or situations where it might be used?

This is a documentation error and will get it addressed. DPM 2012 R2 RTM does still support page file VHD exclusion same as DPM 2012 SP1.

System Center DPM 2012 R2 Issue backing up Exchange 2010

I was previously using System Center DPM 2010 to back up an Exchange 2010 server without any issues. we recently upgraded to DPM 2012 R2 and I followed all of the steps to install it properly on the Exchange Server. However, DPM cannot see the Exchange DB correctly and it is not allowing it run the cleanup (eseutil.exe) on the Exchange Server, leading to space issues. What do I need to do to resolve this issue?

Query for collection is not function on SCCM 2012 R2

I have a System Center 2012 R2 Config Manager as single management point. The SCCM is already have Endpoint Protection Point role installed. Then I need to create a new collection that contain all SCEP clients, to as deployment target of a rule and policy.
I've try to create a query-based collection, with the following query language :
select SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client from SMS_R_System inner join SMS_G_System_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE on SMS_G_System_INSTALLED_SOFTWARE.ResourceId

But after the collection is created, none of the emerging client that have SCEP installed.
Earlier I have apply this query on the SCCM 2012 SP1 environtment, and it is work. But now I have migrate to the SCCM 2012 R2, and this query is seems not function on R2 version.
Is there difference query language between SCCM 2012 SP1 and R2?

I saw System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection is under Installed Applications (64) node when I open Resource Explorer on a computer that installed System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection.
So I edited your query, then these computers appeared on the collection.

Why is it that image grayscaler code for website is not functioning with Mozilla Firefox, yet it does to other browser?

I just noticed that my code(in my blog site), which is a ordinary code that allows image to turn into its grayscale form and hover its original color, is not functioning with Mozilla Firefox browser. But with other browsers, it's working. I hope you can help me with this little issue. Thank you!

Does it use a CSS rule similar to:
filter: grayscale(100%)
This property is not yet implemented in Firefox. It is scheduled to be implemented in Firefox 34, according to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/filter

System center sql 2012 remote or local install

Guys I'm testing System Center 2012 R2 right now I plan on installing configuration manager for starters. I would like to ask you guys did you install your sql server instance locally for System Center or do you have a remote SQL server installation that
System Center is using are there any pros for installing a local instance over a remote one? Also I was reading somewhere that Sytem Center comes with an SQL server license I always assumed that it would come with SQL Server express and not full blown
SQL Server. So with that said does System Center incluse a full blown SQL Server license?

In test environment, typically SQL can be on local instance. However in production environment, you can place SQL on remote as when collocated the site server supports a maximum of 50,000 Clients, and if database server is installed on
a Remote server, the Site-Server supports up to 100,000 Clients.
In System Center 2012, along with any edition of Server Management License you get a run-time instance of SQL Server Standard edition when utilized for the SQL engine used by the System Center components.

Downloading newest software for macbook air not functioning/accepted

Downloading newest software seemed ok until restarted then :no system installed typed code on load up screen - says unable to find driver for this platform?as photo shows.
Any ideas please???

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.

CRM Search for business transactions, not functioning as expected

Hello All:
I am not sure if this is a authorization issue or something to do with config.
Using transactions CRMD_BUS2000120 - Process Complaints and CRMD_BUS2000126 - Maintain Activities I am trying to perform an open/all search on documents the user has access to, but for some bizarre reason it only lists the documents to which the user is defined as 'own'. But, if I try to open a document for the transaction type the user is authorized to, it lets me open it.
From a security settings perpective, i would think that the system would perform a check in the following order:
1) Your own documents (authorization object CRM_ORD_OP)
2) a) Authorization objects CRM_ACT, CRM_OPP, CRM_SAO, CRM_SEO, CRM_CO_SE, CRM_CON_SE, CRM_LEAD, CRM_CMP, CRM_CO_SA, CRM_CO_SC
b) Authorization object CRM_ORD_PR
c) Authorization object CRM_ORD_OE
any suggestions?

Robohelp 9 for Word - Bughunter not functional

I have RH9, Windows 7, Word 2010 and I'm working on an existing winhelp project.
In previous versions of winhelp, I was able to use a tool called Bughunter to see what Map ID's were being called by the application associated with the help. Robohelp 9 for Word includes this tool, but the tool doesn't run, period. When you open the tool you receive 6 or 7 popup message boxes about various things not working and the application never starts.
Is there a workaround for this problem?
Failing that, is there any other way to see what help map ID's are being called from a given application?

I am using the CS5 with RAW support version for D800 without any problem before.
I am not very sure the RAW support version that I use in the past.
But after I restore my iMac with the latest time machine file.
CS5 cannot open the RAW file for D800 anymore, I try to install the latest RAW file version 6.7 for CS5, but when I click to check the RAW support version in CS5, it keeps showing version 6.6, any idea how to solv

using remote desktop to access server that executes codedui. the script contains sendkeys steps. the first step is to click the ALT key. watching the replay, the alt key never gets 'sent/clicked'. script executes successfully if

According to your description, it seems that the coded UI test script is created in VS IDE on the server machine.
Could you please tell me detail steps about how you use the remote desktop to access server that execute the coded UI test script?
Please share me the error log about executing the coded UI test script fail.
From this issue, I suggest you try to check if you can access the server machine successfully without executing the coded UI test script from the remote desktop?
In addition, I suggest you could use DrawHighlight Method /SetFocus()
to check if the correct control is found before you perform actions on the target control.

[Forum FAQ] Three helpful ways for analyzing Inventory issues in System Center 2012 Configuration Manager

To troubleshoot issues related to Inventory, we can view the related logs or force a full inventory to analyze the reason. In these article, we mainly introduce
the detailed ways to enable Verbose and Debug logging,
save the inventory report and force a full inventory on the client.
How to force a full inventory on the client
1. Open wbemtest and connect to “root\ccm\invagt”.

3. You can highlight the entry that contains the action you want to force a full to be sent and click “Delete” to delete it:

4. Close all wbemtest dialog boxes and initiate the appropriate action in the Client Agent Action to perform a full inventory.

How to enable
Verbose and Debug logging
It is also helpful to trace the flow if you enable Verbose and Debug logging on the client,
Management Point and Site Server.
To set verbose/debug logging on an SCCM client or
Management Point, you can simply edit (or create) the following registry keys:
HKLM/Software/Wow6432Node/Microsoft/CCM/Logging/@Global/LogLevel to 0
HKLM/Software/Wow6432Node/Microsoft/CCM/Logging/DebugLogging/Enabled to True

On the site server, you edit the following registry key to enable verbose logging and then restart the SMS_Executive (or the state system
component):
HKLM/Software/Wow6432Node/Microsoft/SMS/Components/SMS_STATE_SYSTEM/Verbose Logging – Reg_DWORD set to 1

How to save the inventory report
To force the ConfigMgr client to save off a copy of the report that it sends to the Management Point, you can create an empty folder/directory under the inventory temp directory
called archive_reports.sms.
Then edit the following registry value to point to the inventory temp directory:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SMS\Mobile Client\Inventory\ Temp Directory

From the figure 9, you can see that the temp directory path is C:\Windows\CCM\Inventory\Temp. After we run the hardware inventory Cycle again, you can see the report file is
saved in the path we have defined automatically. (Figure 10)
(Note: Please delete the
archive_reports.sms folder when have finished the troubleshooting steps to save disk space.)

I have troubleshooted this error message several times and can say that this is a generic error message. The reason can be different in your Case. As suggested in the error message you should first check all the steps in the following kb article.

In most of my cases the performance counter corruption was the reason of this error message there fore I would suggest you to first check the System and application event logs for performance counter corruption. Right click on the System event > Find
and search for corrupt.
Additionally it is also mentioned in one of the MS kb articles that deploying winrm policies on Hyper-V Host is forbidden in a SCVMM environment.
If this is the reason in your Case you should disable it. No other chance.
