Pages '08 -- Pages 5.5.1 (via Pages '09?) - already answered in a previous blog

Have a Mac with old Pages '08.
Now a new Mac with Pages 5.5.1 (2014).
New Pages is asking old documents to be in Pages '09 format (which I do not have).
Is there another way to transfer old documents from Pages '08 to current Pages?
Only possible via saving old documents into Word-format (potentially via Zamzar. com)

As has been stated in possible thousands of replies in these forums.
1. Export from Pages '08 to Word .doc files, .rtf files or txt files.
2. Buy iWork '09 from Amazon and open/convert the Pages '08 files
3. Use zamzar.com
4. Don't upgrade

This is not the first time I get it, and it seems a recurring problem.

Yeah, this seems to be something to do with Google, not your iPhone. A search on that error found this page:

Firefox is loading pages very slowly, most of times saying server not found. Same pages loaded quickly in ie9. Previously FF used to load pages fast. FF version 8.0.1, windows vista & windows XP.

Error ERR-3331 This page was already submitted and can not be re-submitted.

Our application has been in production for several years... we upgraded last fall to 3.0 (10g). Periodically in the past users would get this error message "Error ERR-3331 This page was already submitted and can not be re-submitted." but in the past week it has been occuring after every 5-8 page loads. Our application has a couple dozen tabs and if I click from one tab to another (same level), after the 5-8 clicks, I get this error. I am not doing anything on any of the pages, and there are no auto-submits.
Since this has just started happening consistently (previous errors were related to users using the back key, this time it is not), I wonder if there is any known reason as to what might cause this to occur (application server setting change? etc?) Or is there a particular type of item on the page (LOVs?) that would make this more likely to occur on some pages than others.

Hmmm... it probably isn't possible to grant outside access to the system, but...
Does anyone know if it is "possible" that this could occur if one page is still loading when the user clicks on a new tab and attempts to load a new page before the first is loaded? And, is there a setting/page option that I can set to immediately cancel the load of a page when a user tries to load a new page before it's finished?
I wonder because I can only make the error happen this morning when I click very quickly between tabs (yesterday when more users were online, I didn't have to click fast to make it happen).

Firefox 26 does not load the home page. Instead, it loads the previous session (and that includes all the tabs). It does not matter how Firefox is closed.

The browser is running in Win 7.0 64-bit; Norton Internet Suite 21 provides the security functions. There are certain "cloud" solutions also running such as Google Drive, Box, Skydrive and Cubby. The browser behaves similarly in all my machines (the setup and OS is similar to the one described above) and no amount of resetting of "Options" seems to affect it . Nor is it affected by the manner Firefox is closed. It is obviously a bug that needs to be fixed.

Contact the developer of the App.
Just because an app is updated does not mean it should visually change, the update could simply be bug fixes.

Pages 5.1 won't open previous files in iCloud.

Updated Pages today to 5.1. Now, when I open Pages and choose a file to open that is in iCould, the file won't open. Pages seems to open files on my Mac.
Pages '09 won't open then files stored on iCould either. Pages 5.1 gives me an error message saying the file cannot be opened. Pages '09 gives no message; it just won't open the file.
If I drag the file from the iCloud window in Pages to my desktop, the file will open. Looks like a bug to me.

Running Pages 5.1 on my iMac and my MacBook Pro.
I can't open any Pages document on iCloud from my iMac, regardless of where that document was originally created (iMac, MBP, or iPad). I have tried File -> Open File... from within Pages, as well as by double-clicking the file within the iCloud folder in Finder. However, I can copy the file to my desktop via Finder, and then open it from my desktop. I can create a file in Pages on my iMac and save it to iCloud, but then I can't open it later.
However, I can open any Pages document on iCloud from my MacBook Pro without any problem - including the ones that won't open on the iMac.

To change it for a given text frame, the frame must be selected when you execute the menu command.

How to open a url in new page/tab from Answers passing a value to the url in OBIEE10g

Hello All,
I'm trying to create an answer, A column "request id" would have a url with request id attached to end of url to open a web page. I did get the answer working, I need to open the webpage in a new page rather than in the same obiee answer. We are on OBIEE10g(10.1.2.3) on Windows 2003 R2.
Can anyone give me some information to achieve this ?

New pages installed but says I need to update Pages to open any of my previous pages documents

I recently upgraded OSX and upgraded Pages, now I can't open any of the documents previously written with pages. It
comes up that I need to upgrade and it is already installed.
I need to be able to open my documents!

Then you have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5.01 can not open Pages 5.1 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5.1 files can not be opened in Pages 5.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed almost 100 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:
