Pages '09 family or single user version--is there a way to find out?

I purchased iwork '09 but honestly, I can't remember if I bought the single user or the family edition.  Is there a way to find out?  I have the serial number of course but can't find the receipt--either in Apple purchase history. 

Did you purchase a retail box or a license from within the trial? The retail box version of iWork '09 does not require a serial number. If you bought the license from within the trial you should have kept the e-mail you received. Unfortunately, Apple has "cleaned out" purchase histories older than 18 months so it is up to the consumer to keep this stuff. The e-mail would say whether it was a single-user or family-pack license.
Mine is the retail box family pack & the "About Pages" window doesn't give any indication. Considering the Mac App Store version is much, much less expensive if you bought all three iWork '09 apps than even the single-user retail box, I wouldn't worry about it.

    First of all: Merry Christmas!
    A longer text with some background information is following. My question will be at the bottom.
    My computer is a good boy and it didn't disappoint me for quite a while now.
    I had once installed the student version (german) of CS3 extended on this one.
    Then, after having removed the student version some time later when needed, I have re-installed the full version.
    This time, however, it was in english and it wasn't the extended version either.
    After the software has accepted my serial id, I was quite content. It felt much better in english and I was able to use photoshop to the fullest once again.
    Today, I have gotten my hands on the upgrade version to CS5 (again in english and not extended, but that's all I need).
    After the installation guide has told me, that there are no programmes installed which are compatible to the upgrade, I was confused.
    I have realised that my current CS3 version was still the extended one, even though it was in english and it wasn't the student version either (at least, that's what I believe, because there were no "activate"/"deactivate" buttons in the help menu where it used to be in the german student version before).
    So while doing an upgrade to CS5, I had to chose CS3 extended from the list and had to type in the old student's version serial number.
    Nothing else worked, even though I've tried to chose the CS3 version in combination with the other serial number, which belong to the full version both.
    Now to my question:
    Is there a way to find out, whether the student or the full version is currently installed?
    (Other than looking at the box of course, that would be quite trivial. I am worried if the installation guide hasn't removed all components thoroughly.)

    That's what I thought as well. However, that wasn't the case. Whether it's the educational or the full version, both splash screens looked the same.
    At least for the CS3 version.I know how I was quite confused about that in the past when I'd realised that.
    The CS5 splash screen didn't say anything about a student version, but I was able to deactivate the application. I thought this was possible for the student version only.
    I've tried using the adobe clean program like suggested, but that didn't work either. The installation guide of CS5 still didn't bother asking for an older version.
    I.e.: It still used the educational serial number from before.
    After reinstalling windows on my pc, the installation guide finally wanted to know about my CS3 again.
    However, it told me, that the serial number of the full version in combination with CS3 is not valid. Just like it did before.
    Maybe it's because the full version was made in the USA and the CS5 upgrade version was made in Austria - Ireland?
    That would be really frustrating.

    Yes i have been trying SE16N only. But i am unable to pull data based on dates (Aug/8 to Aug 21)... its showing list of users who have accessed the tcodes directly for entire month....
    Se16n ->Export mode->month->08/2009
      --->     Transacction profile -->Standard
    I want to find out only users who have used a particular tcode during those dates.....in august..

    SAP provides a method in CL_GUI_FRONT_END_SERVICES called GET_GUI_VERSION. This works fine for supplying the version information for the logged in user.
    Unfortunately, it doesn't have any input parameters to specify "ANY"  user name.
    I'm looking for a way to find out the gui version of all logged in users.
    Tables USR41 will give me a list of the logged in users
    I can then use USR21, ADR6 and ADRP to get more user info.
    But, I can't find a way to determine what GUI version each of the users is using.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    We have done in a different way. ie we have used userexit SUSR0001 and coded using
    * Collect SAPGUI info of the user logging on
    call function 'RFC_SYSTEM_INFO' destination 'SAPGUI'
      importing
        rfcsi_export = i_rfcsi.
    Here i_rfcsi-rfcsaprl contains the version info of SAPGUI
    and updated this info in a custom table.

    I have an application in LV6.1 and i want it to go in an 'idle-state' if there was no user action in windows.
    for example: after 10min. (like a screensaver that activates after a certain time.)

    LabVIEW 6.1 has a new structure for user driven events. The event structure has a timeout case which can be set for 600,000ms (10min). When the event fires the timeout , the code in the frame will execute. This s where you would put the screen saver code. You will need to also create a second event case that will trigger on mouse cliking on the application. This case will do nothing other than reseting the timeout case. This event structure should be placed in a while loop and probably in parallel to your present code. Be sure to read the online LV help and warnings about the event structure. Thirty minutes of reading will save you hours of headache.

    No, not in Pages for iOS. Just a word count for the complete file. Workaround: copy the selected text into a new file.

    I often have two browsers & a good number of windows & tabs open. Sometimes, especially if I have to reboot, and they all re-open, I'll hear music or a video playing, and have no clue where it's coming from!
    Is there no way to find out, without having to go tab by tab, window by window, scouring up and down on each page, looking for a little player?
    And on some sites, there's just automatic music, with no visible player (which I really can't stand, as I'm usually already listening to something else, and the webpages with auto-play tend to use very loud music, increasing the ensuing displeasure.

    Well, that would help to see what tabs are open, but my major problem is when it's just a player or small video window on a page, that's playing. Knowing all the tabs open will help if it's an obvious page, like a YouTube video, or band's MySpace page, but I can see all the tabs on each window, but I still must go one by one, looking up & down each page, looking for the culprit. Sometimes there's no player to see, but an imbedded song that automatically just plays....
    I was hoping there'd be some program that could show where or on what page an audio or video file is being played...

  • Adobe Font Folio - no single user version?

    As my business has grown, I had decided it was time to purchase a full Adobe
    font library. I just looked at Adobe.com and see that their Adobe Font Folio
    only comes in 5,10 or 20 user versions. As I am a one-person office, any of
    those is overkill (and over priced). Is there truly no single user version
    available? I would even consider an older version than the present (11) if
    it is OT (I am unfamiliar with when Adobe switched over to all OT in font
    folio).

  • Need to Migrate from Server to single user version

    I need to upgrade the mac machines at my company. The version the machines are currently running on is Mac OS 10.3 server. But they are no longer servers now so need to run on the single user version of Mac OS 10.4. But, somehow it will not allow this change. Any solutions?

    You have to do an archive & install or erase and install.
    You can't install OS X client onto OS X Server.

I sent the document as a PDF and it worked. But I want to be able to use Pages back and forth. HOw do I update the Pages version on my desktop iMac?

    The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
    If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
    Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it.

    Well, you can try easing the shift key up with something thin but flexible (credit card sort of thing) but if the contacts below are stuck you may need to get it seen to by an authorised repairer.
    If you can borrow a keyboard (a PC one will probably work as long as the password is alpha-numeric with no special characters) you can at least get in to backup your HD before going for repair.
