Pages 09 not printing graphics since updating to snow leopard

I've updated to 10.6.2 but I am unable to print templates with graphics to my Xerox 6520 DP printer. Reloaded the drivers but still not working. Will go ck with Xerox to see if they are issuing a new release driver or not. I tried opening a template within Pages and I get the same result of "error printing" no number along with it. Tried doing a save as PDf and get the same printing error. Anyone have any ideas?

Repair permission is something I do after a major installation. Do that.
Are you able to print from other applications, i.e. TextEdit?
If not, can you print from another account? You can create a new account from Accounts in the System preferences.
It might be the driver that needs an update but that is outside my knowledge.

  • 'Open Recent' Not Working In FCP 6 Since Updating To Snow Leopard

Yes, I new I shouldn't of updated to Snow Leopard until they ironed out some wrinkles first, oh well.....
Anyway, I have noticed since updating the 'Open Recent' doesn't seem to work In my FCP 6, I remember Logic Pro doing the same thing a few years back and the word was to bin some kind of preference file?
    Any ideas, Cheers

Instructions for Final Cut Pro 6. This might have changed in FCP 7.
    Deleting FCP Preferences:
Open a Finder window. Set the view mode to columns:
Click the house icon that has your name next to it.
Click the folder "Library" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Preferences" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Final Cut Pro User Data" in the next column.
Move the files "Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs", "Final Cut Pro Obj Cache" and "Final Cut Pro Prof Cache" to the Trash and empty it.
When you have a stable set of preference files, download [Preference Manager|http://www.digitalrebellion.com/pref_man.htm] to back them up. If you have further problems, the backup can be recalled and you can continue working.

  • Cannot access my WD NetCenter since updating to Snow Leopard

    Hi there,
I'm updating the OS on both of my MACs. Since I have updated to Snow Leopard I can no longer access my WD NetCenter external drive, but I can on the MAC which has the previous version 10.5.8 Leopard. I can see the wd-netcenter in my SHARED location. When I try to access it I get ....The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Common” can’t be found.
I've been on NetCenter's support pages and can't find a solution. If anyone has one I'd appreciate it.
    kind regards
    Robert

    Hi sanjampet,
It doesn't show-up on my desk-top; but it does appear in my Finder window. It appears as wd-netcenter under the SHARED location.
I select wd-netcenter to access the netcenter, it then shows all of my folders within the netcenter, but when I select the Connect As.. button, regardless of who I log in as or with what permission the following message appears: The operation can't be completed because the original item for "folder name" can't be found.

  • Acrobat Pro Not Working after Latest Update to Snow Leopard

After getting the latest update for Snow Leopard I get the following when Acrobat tries to boot:
    Process:         AdobeAcrobat [157]
    Path:            /Applications/Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro.app/Contents/MacOS/AdobeAcrobat
    Identifier:      com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro
    Version:         9.0.0 (9.0.0)

There is more after this but the summary is that it doesn't boot. Is anyone having this problem also? And if so how did you fix it.? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat but with no success.

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for your reply. However how can you upgrade when the program won't boot? I tried downloading again from Adobe but the version that comes over is 9.0. Is there anyway to force a load? Or anyway for Adobe to push me 9.3.1?
    Regards,
    David
First try removing preference  and or .plist files for Acrobat. Then when you get working try this tip below that might help when you update the application and it fails.
I've come across this in these forums That may or may not solve the update issue for "some" people:

see if you think. it helps.

  • Safari 4.03 don't start since update to Snow Leopard

I've just updated to Snow Leopard and now i have an error message when i want to start Safari 4.03 if i translate it in English :
"Impossible to open this version of Safari software with this version of Mac OS X.
    You have Safari 4.0.3"
Did somebody have a solution ?

    1. perform a software update, if it finds any go for it
    2. if number 1 does nto apply, just reinstall your safari so you have to delete
    Safari application
Safari receipt can be found in /library/receipts
    safari plist
    safari folder from /library/safari
trash the above items. insert your snow leopard disc then do an optional install.

    Hi jspoliz,
    Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having some printing issues when attempting to print from the Internet using Internet Explorer.
Are you able to print from any program on the computer?
Try using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome when printing from the web and see if that makes a difference.
Write me back when you have time and I will be happy to help.

  • Cannot connect to any IM clients since updating to snow leopard.

    Hey Guys
I'm having a problem with my IM clients since updating to 10.6. I use Adium primarily and have Microsoft messenger through Office 2008 installed. Every time I try and connect to the servers I get a message in Adium telling me it has a connection error and Microsoft Messenger tells me I am not connected to the internet. I have tried other clients such as Pidgin and have the same issues and my MSN still works on my windows desktop. I am absolutely stuck with what to do. Adium support says that as it doesnt work on Microsoft messenger its nothing to do with them and its a issue on my side :S.
    Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for responding guys. I looked to see if their was a firewall option somewhere I could disable or make a exemption for but came up with nothing. Today I reinstalled snow leopard again and every thing seems ok now. I really am not sure what the problem was.
Thanks for your help anyway. this could help others in a similar situation.

  • Photoshop not printing to Epson R2400 in Snow Leopard

    Hi there
I can print from Microsoft Word and Textpad fine. But Photoshop CS4 will not print anything to my Epson R2400. The job briefly appears in the queue, then disappears, with no error message.
When I try and Preview from inside the Epson Print dialogue, it just shows a blank page, so I'm pretty sure it's Photoshop that's at fault, as Previewing a similar job from Microsoft Word turns out fine.
Has anyone else had this error and found a way to fix it?

I've the exact same problem - though I'm using Lightroom 2.4 (64 bit) and Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac.
Printing from Textpad & Pages works fine - but every print from Lightroom and Photoshop Elements just disappears (like Monkeytennis2 described).
I've tried different drivers: the new 6.57 - and the older 6.12 (via Rosetta). The Gutenprint 5.2.3 works, but the quality is just miserable.
This is indeed a strange thing ... and I hope someone has an idea how to fix it.
EDIT: has anyone tried this http://forums.adobe.com/message/2215478 ... ?

  • Isight is not working anymore after updating to snow leopard

it used to work very well. i updated snow leopard 5 days ago. i try to use skype and photo booth, it is never working again. do people have the same problem?
    thank you for your information

Thanks for the info - however surely this has something to do with the snow leopard software update - not a hardware failure or is that just a coincidence?
My iSight was working fine before I upgraded to snow leopard? Is there a software fix coming?
    Welcome to Discussions, lightwright
... this has something to do with the snow leopard software update ...
You may be correct that the problem has something to do with your SL update, but, as previously explained, many of us successfully use iSight every day after upgrading to Snow Leopard, so the problem is not SL itself. If you believe that your problem is with your update, you should consider reapplying the update using the method suggested above.
If you continue to have iSight problems after properly applying the SL update, consider all relevant troubleshooting suggestions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2090
However, if your iSight problem continues, and if iSight now does NOT show as a USB device in your Mac's System Profiler, yours is most likely a hardware problem. In that case, contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider for service.
If, after properly applying the SL update and using the Troubleshooting suggestions, iSight IS recognized in System Profiler but still does NOT work with any of your video-enabled Apple software, your disk may contain some pre-SL software that is causing problems. Either erase the disk and apply only Apple software to see if that fixes your problem, or seek help from your Apple-Authorized Service Provider.

  • Real Player not working properly since upgrade to Snow Leopard

Ok, before I start, I know RealPlayer is not an Apple product, but I am not premium Real content subscriber, and I don't expect to get any support from Real on this matter.
I only use the player to listen to BBC Radio which is vital to me as I live outside the UK.
The problem is that since I upgraded to Snow Leopard, the streaming bit rate won't go above 21kbps which obviously reduces the sound quality. I checked what it was doing in Activity Monitor, (version 11.0) and it is not 64bit. Could this be the cause of the problem?

RealPlayer is a 32-bit application, but that shouldn't be a problem. It should run on Snow Leopard as well as it did on Leopard. It plays BBC Radio at 45Kbps on my Mac. Do you have the latest version (11.1.0)? Check the speed settings in its "Connection" preference.

  • Need help to find print graphics program compatible w/snow leopard

Now that it's clear my Print Explosion 3.0.2.8 program is thoroughly incompatible with snow leopard (Nova support over the phone: "we're working on a fix" and "hoping for one" but can't tell you if, when, or how we'll notify anyone if we succeed on 12/9/09), what compatible programs are there for 10.6.2? I read of issues with Print Shop 2, so don't want to plonk down more money after bad. Recommendations? Fixes? Suggestions? My usage is for things like signs, posters, cards, invites. Thanks.

Posterino, among others, seems like a good candidate. Perhaps Apple Pages would work too.

  • Movies won't play since update to Snow Leopard.

  • Need Help...my wireless airport express will not work with my update of snow leopard

after installing snow leopard on my macbook pro my airport express will not work...or will connect only for a minute at a time.

If you mean by "airport express" the square airport router you plug in and has a usb port then run the Airport Utility located in your Utilities folder to set it up again. If AU doesn't see it you may need to do a re-set of the AE.

  • DNS odd problem since updating to snow leopard

Basically, I can't resolve hostnames on my local network except using dig. Here is an example:

Ok, that works. But this does not:

+ping: cannot resolve gateway: Unknown host+
I know this is probably something simple but I'm not sure where to look.
    Thanks,

Ok, this is odd. There are names on the .local domain that I can resolve just fine, and others that I cannot. Example, there is a host called divaplug (it's a sheevaplug) that I can resolve ok, ssh divaplug or ping divaplug work just fine. There is another host called ubuntu-dev that will resolve with dig but ping or ssh require the trailing . to resolve.
    +dig ubuntu-dev+

  • Updated to snow leopard.  Printer no longer turning on.

Since updating to Snow Leopard, my printer (an HP DeskJet 5550) no longer turns on when I print over my wireless network via Airport Express. Not sure if this has something to do with the Express, Snow Leopard, or something else.
    Any thoughts?

I am having the same problem with an HP Laserjet 1150 connected to my Airport Extreme.
