Pages 09 on Mac and Pages 5 on iPad AAAAGHHHH!!!

I was away from home when Pages 5 came out and, rather naively, I installed it on my iPad. It was only when I got home today thatr I found out how genuinely useless to me Pages 5 is on the Mac. I had been used to minor problems in sharing beween Mac and iPad before. They were irritating. Now I can't share at all because Pages 5 reformats the damned file! Is there any way at all I can go back to the old Pages on my iPad?

So, since I do not have access to the new version of Pages for mac, there is absolutely nothing I can do? I am stuck with the incompatibility of Pages v2 on my iPad and Pages 09 on my Mac OSX 10.8.5.
I'm glad to see they gave Pages 5.0 for mac the ability to export to Pages 09, but why not for the ios version? Is exporting to Pages 09 format that much more complicated than exporting to .doc? Very, very frustrating. At this point, Pages for iOS is forcing me to use MS Word because it is more compatible with previous and current versions of Word than with Apple's own Pages 09.

You're welcome. iCloud only keeps your photo stream photos in iCloud for 30 days (even though up to 1000 photos will remain on your devices until deleted). I assume it's because photo stream is completely free, and doesn't count against your iCloud storage plan, so Apple had to place limits on how much is stored and for how long. As a result, they don't attempt to make them available on icloud.com.
If you want to be able to access photo stream photos on the web you have to create a shared photo stream as a public website, as discussed here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99. Then you will be given a link to view them from any computer.

It is not possible to "toggle back and forth" at will. If you associate a device with an Apple ID and you have iTunes Match enabled you must wait 90 days before you can associate it with another Apple ID. See this Apple KB article for more information: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627

How do I get books to sync between ibooks on my Mac and my iPad?

I recently purchased an ebook from a source outside of the IBooks store (ePub). I loaded it into the IBooks app on my Mac and I can open and read it there but it does not appear on my iPad. I'm using Mavericks and from what I've researched I think that I have it set up correctly to sync...but the book will not sync. Any hints?

Another options is to have an app like Dropbox on your iPad and Mac and transfer to the iPad that way.
It will transfer to the iPad and should offer you ooption to open your ePub.
If you intend to add more nonne iBooks store ePubs, I suggest you download a decent Free Books app and Dropbox will detetct it and offer as an option to open your book.

Buying a new mac and syncing old ipad.

Here goes.
So I want to buy a new Mac, and sync by old iPad with it.
Normally when you do this you get a message saying by syncing this iPad you will erase all your data.
But I am using time machine to back up my Mac, so if when i get my new Mac and plug in my time capsule, will my itune libary be the same on the new mac?
And in turn when i plug in my old iPad with the new Mac will it just sync like normal without erasing all data and needing to start again?

Yeah. Plug it in using a wire or do it wirelessly... The set up options has a "restore from Time Machine" option. It should be pain free. Might take you awhile, especially if you restore wirelessly. You should have everything restored: files, settings, etc. For me personally, I backup everything on my external hard drive and I just drag and drop everything manually instead of using the Time Machine user interface. Both way works and achieves the same end result. I don't recommend my way unless you are really familiar with Macs and knows where files are.

You got some bad information if you think that you do not have to buy Pages for the iPad and you think that it will work without it.
You have to purchase Pages for the iPad as well as for the Mac. You cannot install any computer program on an iPad - Mac or Windows applications will not work on the iPad. You will have to download and install the iPad Pages app or you cant sync files from the Mac to the iPad and the other way around.

I've used Numbers and Pages for IOS for sometime now and when i use safari to look at my icloud account i can see all my files. Recently i bought Numbers for Mac and now whenever i create a spreadsheet on my mac i can't see it on my iphone but i can if i login to icloud. In fact i can only see about 16 files on my iphone when there is over 40 files.
Although i don't yet have pages for mac i now have a similar problem with Pages, whenever i edit a file or even create a file on IOS it doesn't appear in icloud.
I did think it was something to do with me not selecting backup to icloud so i then spent £14 to upgrade my storage to 15GB and that hasn't helped.
I've checked all the settings and can't see anythng that will cause the problem.
My iphone is running IOS 6 and my Mac is running Mountain Lion 10.8.2
Does anyone know how to correct this mess?

Problems with buttons and links at the top of the page not working can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

To download your pages from MobileMe simply mount your iDisk.
Then navigate to the Web > Sites folder where the pages are.
You can't do anything with them however, since iWeb cannot import them. But it's nice to know that you can download them.
You need the domain.sites2 files, iWeb uses to store its assets. Perhaps you have a backup?

I uploaded Word documents to iWork from my Mac and have accessed them and modified them using my iPhone and iPad -- all works pretty well. However, how do I get the updates to my Mac? -- it looks like I have to download them, then re-upload them if I make changes on my Mac. On Firefox 3.6.x on Mac and Windows, Google Analytics tracking code leads to an Error 400 page

Our business sent out an email campaign that has several links containing Google Analytics tracking code in the URL.
In the tracking code, which is automatically generated via the email campaign software, is an em-dash. The URLs works in every browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Windows) and in older versions of FireFox. They do not work in 3.6.x versions of FireFox in both Mac and Windows.
As a result, when customers click on a link in the email, they get a page that says "HTTP Error 400 - request is badly formed" because FireFox interprets the em-dash as garbage.
Once this error occurs none of the pages in the site can be accessed unless a specific cookie is removed.
Seeing how many people do not know how to clear cookies - it is especially cryptic in the Windows version of FF 3.6.10 - what are the chances that there will be a release of Firefox to remedy this problem? And is there anything else that could be done?

Weird. We are having this same problem as well. Ours happens in Chrome as well. What I have figured out is -at least for us - is its somethign to do with the Google Analytics tracking cookie on our site. If I go to cookies and then delete the _umtz cookie, the site will load fine. In the time being I have set "pageTracker._setCampaignTrack(false); " in our tracking code to keep the script from dropping the cookie in users browsers.

Downloaded Firefox update for my Mac and now when I open it, there is a white box at the top of the page with a grey bar in it that I can't get rid of

I updated my firefox browser for my Mac and now, when I open it, an empty white box appears at the top of the page with only a gray bar in it. It over lays the Firefox home page and I can't get rid of it, so I can't click on anything on the Firefox page. I tried deleting Firefox and redownloading it, but that didn't help. I have to force quite Firefox to get out of it. Help!
